Why do people act like it’s impossible to care about more than one thing at a time
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 07:25 PM

Aren’t statements like that an exaggeration/joke? I’m autistic and even I don’t take them seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 06:18 PM

Why would you violently attack that poor child
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 06:03 PM

It’s also important to keep in mind how anonymity increases aggression. Many of the stances we see here - from men and women both - are amplified (in a way I’d argue is almost cartoonish.) Not to imply they don’t still need psychological help. Of course they do. But I doubt the worst misogynists and misandrists here are all that extreme (or even hateful) in real life.

I guess the idea is that widows will have happier and more fulfilling memories to look back on, even if they’re technically alone. Or people think those women will have big happy families who flock to visit them. Seems like a lot of assumptions either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 02:24 PM

Okay, yeah, I was taking it literally. That makes a little more sense, and I see how that has emotional weight to it. But in some ways, I’m still skeptical just how much a partner or children actually help cushion the slow inevitable creep of death/illness. I think that ultimately, all that emotional work has to be done alone, and no amount of support can actually help a human grapple with facing down our mortality. We’re always gonna be on our own there.

It makes me think of those guys who live off-grid in the Alaskan wilderness and all that shit. Not everyone can pull it off, but when they can, it’s hot. I’d be happy settling down with someone like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 02:05 PM

I don’t understand comments that include jabs about “dying alone.” Almost everyone dies alone. You may die in a car accident without your loved ones present. You may be in a coma before death, and not know what’s happening, not know that anyone is around you. You may outlive everyone you care about and die in a nursing home. Even if you pass away in your bed next to your significant other, you likely aren’t aware of them - you’re probably in either a state of panic about your body shutting down,…

I’m in a wheelchair thx for rubbing it in
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 02:12 AM

I’m fat, you wouldn’t like me
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 02:08 AM

“Trauma bond” typically references the bond the abused individual feels towards their abuser. Are you using it differently here?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 02:07 AM

Lmao glad someone else thought of it
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 02:06 AM

I like making people work for that information

I thought you said you wanted to be less manipulative.

Double the organs, double the tits
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 12:55 AM

Thanks!
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 12:31 AM

I will. Not sure when I’m actually gonna start, but I’m interested to see what my numbers look like when I do.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 12:31 AM

I really hope it’s as easy for women as y’all say it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 12:06 AM

I guess I can leave it off. I’ll spring it on the guy over coffee or whatever.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 11:58 PM

Yeah…it’s not easy to make anything about me sound hot :(
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 11:56 PM

Where’d you learn that
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 11:41 PM

I’m drafting my OLD profile and I’m worried all my interests make me sound psycho. How do I say I like 1960s-era puppetry in a way that sounds hot

No. Not really. I don’t ever do it, personally.

Oh dude, he fucking killed it. The teary apology in the last ep was magnificent acting. And the third ep, all that PTSD-esque fear? That was phenomenal. Disney SW has been hit or miss for me, but damn I loved getting to see him in the role again.

I can’t lie, it made me tear up. I was really pleased with the whole show.

I honestly don’t understand that. I’m a fat girl, and thin/fit men are not attractive to me - but even beyond that, they make me very uncomfortable and nervous. I can’t see myself with anyone but a man who’s also overweight. But I guess it comes down to individual preferences.

That’s what I’m wondering. But the way some ass guys talk on here, it’s like tits murdered their family and burned their house down.

Men who prefer ass over tits always seem so aggressive about it

Complaining for the sake of complaining bothers most people. If your complaints are not paired with actionable steps and problem-solving, then they are usually best kept to yourself, regardless of gender.

In the case of men judging pictures, I also sometimes wonder if there is an underlying bias - this sub tends to focus on frustrations with the opposite sex, and there may be some internal drive to judge women more harshly as a way of dealing with said frustrations. And maybe there’s some similar explanation for women judging more harshly irl.

Yeah, I always try to tell myself I’m a 4-5, but the rating threads make me think I’m absolutely a 2 at best. It really messes with me if I think about it too much. I always think all the pictures look gorgeous, and then there’s an avalanche of “she’s average/she’s a 4/she’s got xyz imperfections.”

If you were dating someone and learned they do not masturbate for whatever reason, would that impact how you felt about them?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 03:14 AM

If you found out a potential partner didn’t masturbate, how would you feel? Would it change your perception of them at all?

As someone with two step-parents myself, I wouldn’t expect a hypothetical step-child to ever view me as a parent. But everyone will have different expectations about these things.

Yeah, it feels like one of those things where I’m just not connecting the dots. I get what people are saying about being a cuck, though it feels like a strange thing to care about. Logistical issues like money/lifestyle make more sense to me, but if somebody is open to raising kids, seems like step-parenting shouldn’t be an issue.

Honestly, once I’m dead, I doubt I’ll care much whether or not people remember me. And I certainly haven’t made any social media posts worth preserving.

So across the board, do you believe that no woman is capable of expressing pure love throughout her life? Or is this an individualized issue?

I’ve seen people mention the genetic failure thing before. Not gonna lie, I always thought they were joking. I’ve never thought twice about my genetic line…good riddance tbh. But I guess it makes sense that some people care. Otherwise nobody would reproduce.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/22 12:05 AM

That makes sense. Is there an equivalent for women becoming stepmothers? Or is that not necessarily seen as 2nd place for some reason?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/22 11:47 PM
2

I understand what you’re saying, but how can you verify the emotional weight behind someone else’s claims of love? How do you objectively measure it and decide whether it is “pure” or not, as you are not the person experiencing the feeling?

How often does the average woman tweet about that?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/22 11:38 PM

Probably dumb q4m: why is raising another man’s kids seen as a bad thing? (For context, I’m autistic and don’t always understand this shit. Apologies in advance if it’s obvious.) Asking because I’m a woman with no kids, no plans to have any…but if I fell in love with a single dad, I’d absolutely help raise those children, even if they weren’t mine. I can’t imagine feeling resentful about it. Is there a reason it feels different for men? The way y’all talk about it, it seems like a very negative …

People who use their real, identifiable name on social media fascinate me. My grandkids ain’t gonna have shit on me.

Maybe she was a really bad stripper.

That’s interesting. I have been very happy when I have heard I might be a 5, since it’s…y’know, average. I always assume 7/10 is very attractive.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
