Your children will be feminists and ashamed of you.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 08:32 PM

Why should anyone make any effort to appease you? B/c you have money? They have money too.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 07:00 PM

This sounds like you want you to be true.

Everything is scary when your worldview clashes with objective reality.

He made things personal. He claimed he lost visitation rights to his own child simply for being a man. But I think he made it up to garner sympathy for his cause. He should be banned for that effed up sh*t.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 05:26 PM

I mean, it’s seriously f*cked up to invent a fake child that you lost. You abuse the empathy of others to promote hatred of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 03:47 AM

The idea in the abstract is a complete farce. And now I think you’re a liar. Your lack of forthrightness suggests you don’t even have children. You lie online to drum up support for your cause. It’s despicable. You should be banned.

Tbh I’m that way. I prefer a long sleeve with the sleeves rolled up instead of a short sleeve. And def prefer long pants. Unless you have a toned body, pants may be your friend. And sandals should be worn with socks. I dunno if it necessarily hurts a man’s attractiveness. It suggests he may lack style. But style isn’t everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 12:07 AM

I have to piece* the whole story together because you’re not being truthful. People don’t lose visitation rights to their own child for nothing, not even in the misandrist hellscape you’ve imagined. I think when you’re honest with yourself and others you can begin to make sense of your situation and even get out of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/26 11:51 PM

Hmm. You didn’t divulge much but my impression from the comments is that your ex was awarded full or partial custody and then you refused to pay child support and because of that you’ve lost all visitation rights. And if that’s the case then you’re the one who has all the power to change your circumstances. No one else. You can convince the judge to award you 50% custody. But it will take years of work and therapy to undo your own destructive actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/26 10:06 PM

But why did the courts decide you can’t? Because I’m critical of the justice system, but I’ve only ever seen examples of people losing parental privileges who fucked up. And if you did, you can work to atone and regain visitation rights. Don’t you think 8 months with a therapist rather than strangers online would do more to get your rights back?

I would guess it’s genetic. A polygenic trait. Not specific to men. But may appear more predominantly in men.

Yes it’s all the same. Practice on your friends. Try to “vet” them and see if you can tell just from the conversation you’re having what their values are and how compatible you guys are as friends.

Why not? We should always discuss sex work in the context of sex-starved people who resort to abuse.

Paying for sex is not coercion, can be perfectly safe and legal and equitable, and I encourage any man to do it if sex is that important to them.

From my perspective as a gay man the whole debate is silly. There's incredible opportunity with online dating. I'm not trying to date any straight people so of course I'll use online dating. But you straighties can join a book club or something and possibly meet people there. You have so many spaces and opportunities and it's really just about navigating the challenging world of dating no matter where you are, that will always bring a whole heck of a lot of challenges regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 06:18 AM

Nope, no more fear, because part of therapy is learning that fear is a useless, manageable emotion. The symptom that lead me to therapy was once I started cutting myself. Through therapy I learned my true ailment was my false perception of reality and my own mind was causing me to misunderstand and feel anger, anguish, and suffering that was avoidable. And then I realized all of my unhealthy destructive emotions are controllable and avoidable and manageable.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 06:41 PM

For me it means I'm cured of what was ailing me, all of my relationships are strengthened, I feel no tension between my worldview and reality, I can control my thoughts, I am free of fear and suffering.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 06:22 PM

I think the therapists have been right though. What makes it feel incomprehensible? I realized my perceptions weren't real and it completely changed how I looked at things. Even if the truth is challenging to believe, why choose to continue to perceive things in a way you know to be false? It doesn't serve you.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 05:54 PM

Is it the same therapist each time? Have you tried others? Or even other approaches like meditation? Why do you think it hasn’t been helpful?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 06:20 AM

Why *not* go to therapy? I went. It was free with health insurance. I had a breakthrough. And now I’m happy and in a healthy relationship and feel fulfilled.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 11:32 PM

Yikes. I think you’re way off base. I think the psychology and decision-making of a woman with a different sexual drive from her husband is dramatically different from a man purely seeking sex. I think you severely misunderstand how these women think.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 04:56 PM

The answer is in your question. You are choosing to be unlikeable to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 05:46 AM

It's very normal for people to like the idea of sex with a stranger over their own partner. Most men in relationships have that fantasy. Why are you trying to assign gender and sexist ideology to a perfectly normal human impulse?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 05:51 PM

A lot. But not in a bad way, its all malleable with your neuroplasticity. Attraction and our wiring can change, even by our own choosing and shaping. You can take her past experiences and mold them into something new and appealing.

Oof, how dangerous and unhealthy to define your entire world view by a vague new scientific theory that maybe has no interaction whatsoever with sociology. What you're describing are innate-borne traits. And how much those impact our dating life is challenging to gauge. Because many low IQ people do very well in dating. And many high IQ people are terrible at it. And the same goes for any trait. So to necessarily say the way in which our traits spread out amongst our biological sex directly impa…

Nah Jim is right. He's not insecure, he just understands the world better than you, in certain ways, and you struggle with hearing that. You should apologize and listen to his perspective and learn from him. All the issues you have with him are internal and can be improved with introspection. Your worldview is false but rigid and all your relationships would benefit from the diverse perspective Jim brings you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 09:04 PM

Equality of outcome by inequality of perception doesn't make much sense to me. Why not just see everyone as equal and then treat them that way?

How horrific your experience must have been to descend so deep in this hole. You know less now than ever before and you're comforted by a dark lie that continues to limit and scar you.

No OP, you're drawing wild conclusions from very limited data, as per usual. Here's what's actually happening: Women have generally about the same amount of empathy as you have. Women are humans, and you're a human too. And, like all humans, if you don't like someone or you find them particularly threatening to your way of life, you tend to have less empathy for them. It's why people can be killed in the Middle East and we can not bat an eye. And you're experiencing something similar, where your…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 09:42 PM

The way attraction works is dramatically more complex than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 06:30 AM

I mean, if you don't even date non-traditional women I'm not sure why it'd be a problem to you how they act and what they deem as "fair". A lot of people judge and call your type of relationship "unfair" but you know it to be perfectly fair and equitable in your mind and the mind of your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 06:22 AM

not doing it yet expecting your partners to regardless is kinda annoying. Well that's certainly fair. But isn't that what you're doing? And what OP is suggesting? You think women should conform to traditional gender stereotypes more but you don't necessarily yourself?

Do I have the answer to the age old question? Can I resolve every story of love ever written? No and you should be skeptical of those that claim they can. Because they're selling you on a lie. They don't have the answers, they have an over-simplified false version of reality that sounds believable but only serves to cloud your judgement and can even make you harm those you love. All that to say, you should handle your challenges the way that feels right for you. Even if that means be a "Passport…

What is gender behavior and why is it a problem if someone chooses to have less of it?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 03:52 AM
2

Right, so the rigid boxes feel comforting to you. You like to live in boxes. You feel 'mindfucked' by people who aren't conforming to the standards you've defined in your head that help you make sense of objective reality. You want to force women into a box you label "the more beautiful gender" regardless of what all women want or see themselves as. Do you not see how your rigid walls are the problem? You are clashing with a world you don't understand and your solution is to restrain others rath…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 10:38 PM
1

It's possible that some people could benefit from a rigid society that forces them to conform to pre-made boxes. But billions don't. Maybe you would, but I know I wouldn't. And why would we force that on anyone? Surely there are other ways to provide guidance to wayward folks without literally restricting their freedoms. That can never be a constructive answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 09:43 PM
2

It is a black and white thing. Human rights, freedoms, and opportunities are not yours to limit. A woman who chooses to feel alienated rather than marry you to escape poverty is a free woman. Regardless, the idea that alienation is an outcome of giving women opportunities is a complete farce. Your brain is being tricked by dramatically oversimplified pattern recognition.

And you don't think with more access to education and resources that view might change? I bet it's changed just in your lifetime.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 08:35 PM

Out of necessity. Is your solution to deprive women access to resources and opportunities?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 08:23 PM

That's not cultural. What you're describing is a lack of resources. If women in the Philippines had as much wealth, education, and opportunities as women in the US they'd have less rigid gender standards. And they'd have fewer babies. As you see happening all over the planet, regardless of "culture".

Not end It for everyone. End It for themselves. End It for yourself. Once you recognize that none of it is real, that it’s all just a fucked up vestige of an archaic society, you can stop believing it, stop seeing it in yourself, and stop propagating it to others.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 06:33 AM

Friend, that's not life, or at least, it doesn't have to be. That's the bad part of society and peoples' brains that tells them and you that men should be treated harshly. They were wrong and they were tricked by the patriarchy to do it. And now so are you. But you don't have to be. You can end this line of destructive thinking.

Couldn’t you simply put ‘looking for hookups’ in your tinder profile? Or just hit on a girl at a bar. You’re certainly capable of intelligent conversation with a woman. Why do you think you need to breach social norms just to get laid?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 08:29 PM
1

Don't compare yourself to your sister's husband and don't try to fucking buy a girlfriend. Their arrangement worked out for them. If you even suggest an allowance to a girl you're dating you'll deservedly get slapped.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 06:20 PM
2

They're your own words. You understand the difference between the norms of wider society and those of a sex community. Why else do you think you should be allowed to breach the norms of wider society rather than simply join a sex community?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 06:14 PM
1

So you admit you understand perfectly well the norms of 'wider society'. And so you already know the answer to your phony question lies in following the norms of the society. You just don't want to follow those norms. You don't want to feel relegated to the weird sex community part of society. You want to do what you want whenever you want without repercussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 04:27 AM
2

Well you can transgress, but you'll get what you deserve for it. I think it's much more enlivening to have sex while never even coming close to breaching anyone's boundaries. Yes, it can mean putting in an inordinate amount of work in getting to know someone. Or it could mean deliberately seeking out like-minded communities of people who aren't as hung up about sex (there's no shortage of them online and everyone there agrees before they join that asking for sex is acceptable).
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 03:11 AM
2

Context. Getting to know a person. Learning where their boundaries lie. Learning situations and context for each individual in which asking for consent is not a transgression (because everyone has them). It may seem like excessive, extra work to you, but for the majority of people who find sex to be much more intimate and personal than you, the extra effort and investment in learning who the person is can be exactly what they need to feel comfortable with not only having the question posed, but …

We know it to be true. We know that suicidal ideation is normal, but persistent ideation is evidence of a false, unhealthy, destructive mindset. And so that mindset has to change for the well-being of the individual. And anything that can help them change this mindset can be considered therapy. Having sex with a bunch of women may stall the ideation, but the destructive mindset will persist until it is addressed directly.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 12:58 AM
2

In this context, yes. Billions of people, past and present, would reasonably see soliciting sex as very much a boundary pressing inquiry. That you don't personally see it as such is not an argument to do it. It's an opportunity for you to try to understand why you've strayed so far from your fellow man.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 12:16 AM
6

I didn't dodge it. I said go back to therapy. That's the simple fact. If you have repeated suicidal ideation, go the fuck to therapy. If you leave and still have it, find a new therapist, but stay in therapy. Exhaust all possible options for it. Never leave therapy until you stop having serious thoughts of suicidal ideation. No, you will never have a justifiable reason for this ideation. Yes, your brain is skewed from objective reality. Yes, you need to seek some form of helpful therapy to corre…

It can fix this false, unhealthy perspective you have. No therapist would agree with what you think is true.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 10:10 PM
7

Then your definition of 'therapy' is limited, because that's not a valid outcome. Repeated suicidal ideation is not a healthy state of being, something is off that can be treated. It can be challenging to find what works for you, maybe meditation and exercise? maybe more friends? maybe therapy and medication? Regardless, there cannot be a reasonable outcome in which one continues to hold suicidal ideation. Unless you're in Gaza, your readings of objectively reality are falsely and unhealthily sk…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 10:05 PM

The respect is about not intruding on others' boundaries. When you cross their boundaries, they have a right to react however they wish. You need to find a way to solicit sex from strangers that doesn't intrude on their boundaries. That is how respect can be met on both sides.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 09:49 PM
16

"doesn't work" how? If he's still suicidal then he still needs therapy. And maybe medication.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:42 PM
7

Sure. A watched pot never boils.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:41 PM

Everyone thinks of sex differently. For you and other men and some women, it's just a fun activity, perhaps. But for a lot of women, and many men too, sex is deeply personal and intimate and even the *thought* of it with a stranger can be very off-putting. So out of respect for the billions of people who don't think the way you do, try to avoid asking directly for sex unless you know they're the kind of person who thinks of it the way you do.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:39 PM

Why are men attracted to dumb blondes? I dunno, but they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 08:04 PM

Self help is extremely broad. And it’s hard to know and prove scientifically that someone has been ‘helped’. But they very well may have been. And so long as the help isn’t rooted in some destructive false reality that encourages placing your value as a person on a hierarchy then it has the potential to be genuinely beneficial and not a scam.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 02:51 AM

Perhaps because they’re redpilled? And they’ve been lead to believe a lie? I think most healthy-minded people would say you should always be your biggest champion.

Didn’t miss it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 10:38 AM

But you added a condition, previous infidelity, that OP did not. Before the infidelity, when your relationship was healthier and more equitable, you would not have needed or wanted a DNA test. And if you ever feel that need with a future partner, you’ll know it’s because of residual trauma from this previous incident, and not because women cannot be trusted. You have had the ability to trust someone before and will in the future as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 06:20 AM
11

Hmm. I think this OP and their abstract hypothetical conveys never having been in love. If you’re in love and you doubt your partner’s fidelity, it’s for a reason, not because she refuses a DNA test.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 05:49 AM

No. Just because millions of wayward, vulnerable boys can feel “helped” by RP doesn’t change that what they’re “helped” by is a delusion and perversion of objective reality. If someone feels helped by a placebo, they were still lied to, and if they spent money on it, it was a scam. If someone feels helped by medicine we all know to be good for you, that’s not a scam. And if the medicine doesn’t work for some people, that’s still not, necessarily, a scam. Because the known benefit of the medicine…

But if it’s actually effective and if it actually promotes self worth for people then it’s not a scam. RP can never help men because it sells them on a lie. It’s fundamentally *only* a scam and a grift.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:04 AM

Goofy. Everyone should love themselves unequivocally. Only you people would consider self empowerment a scam. And you only think that because y’all lack self worth! Thus you’re susceptible to actual scams by RP. Self empowerment is the antidote to RP!

I think the difference in scale is represented by the difference in terminology. There are words to describe an individual experiencing prejudice or discrimination and there are different words to describe widespread, long term, institutionalized systems of oppression.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 12:07 AM

No. Misandry is not real because reverse racism is not real. Prejudice + institutional power built over centuries = misogyny, racism, classism, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 10:21 PM

I think it’s dehumanizing and destructive and literally the future of humanity sways on when and how this reductive impulse can be expunged from the human consciousness. Personally, if one must be so reductive, I think we should just use the terms ‘conventionally attractive’ and ‘unconventionally attractive’. That’s closest to objective reality anyways.

Scientists don't reject RP b/c it violates their worldview. Scientists reject RP b/c there is not proof for it and evidence contradicting it. Would you like to share what you think you understand about science and I'll help correct you?

Based on your narrow-minded argument, you should start abusing women. 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 02:48 AM

I agree, but maybe this is for the better. Romance from mystery isn’t always a helpful emotion. And there are other ways of experiencing romance. And humans haven’t always and shouldn’t necessarily need it to couple up.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 06:21 AM

Is it women who won’t lower their standards? I don’t think RP is even willing to date older women or conventionally unattractive women. I see so many single, older women online and RP seems repulsed by the very idea of her.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 04:10 AM
1

No, women do not have more sex than men. Have you tried asking her what she likes? You provide oral? Masturbate her? Most women don’t orgasm from just penetrative sex (bc biology, not experience). I’m glad you’re interested in getting your partner off; that’s a big green flag.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 01:14 AM

I understand you're trying very hard to justify the anti-science of RP and you're failing to do so. Yes, you should give up because you aren't able to defend a group that arose from irrational, political (your own words), biased, anti-science impulses that remains firmly anti-science. And no meaningful scientist, hard or not, would endorse RP. That is the objective reality you deny because of your own unexamined biases.

Hmm. I think that’s the wrong approach. Accepting reality doesn’t immediately make your life better. In some ways, it can feel worse to be aware. But it is the only true solution. Anything else is literally a lie you tell yourself to make you feel better. For example, the only reason you would even believe the lie that certain people are more valuable than others is because you can learn how to game the system and move up the ladder. But you can do all that and still know it’s a lie perpetuated …

No young man. Science understands the complexity of sex better than you or I could articulate here. No, it’s not simply chromosomes. Sex involves hormone production and sensitivity as well. It involves external genitalia. Organs. I’m not sure how commonly the term ‘spectrum’ is used, but the scientific biology community firmly subscribes to a greater complexity than RP allows for, to say nothing of sociology. Do you claim to deny Natural Selection then? You are a science denier yourself then. Wh…

How can you be a romantic fool when you’ve never been in love? I have. Billions of people have. You’ve heard these stories your whole life but think they can’t possibly apply to you? You’re just inexperienced and disillusioned, but the truth that has existed for thousands of years remains. Women have exactly as much capacity to love and love equally as you do.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 01:02 PM

Of course. If you wouldn't die for your love then you have never been in love. I have. I am now. So how can I be the romantic fool when you haven't even experienced love?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 02:23 AM

No. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, regardless of political bias, regardless of culture, regardless of where anyone lives, sex is a spectrum, gender is a social construct and a spectrum, and sexuality is a spectrum. That is an observable, immutable fact of nature and sociology that science has confirmed for you in your lifetime but it was true 200,000 years ago among the first humans and it will be true for the future as well. The theory of natural selection is also not a "hard" …

For the world to treat you with value you need to be valuable. You have it backwards! I'm not giving you sentiment. I'm giving you life lessons that millions of RP choose not to live by. Humans have value necessarily because they are, undeniably, the most valuable and rare thing in the known universe and we are all united by that fact. It is a self-evident truth. Whether other humans treat this as such is irrelevant. Why would you believe the actions of others as proof of objective reality? Obje…

The same way women can like a man she knows nothing about. Superficial attraction. Butterflies. The possibilities of what could be. It’s not very practical, but it IS how lots of people have fallen in love in the past and will continue to.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 07:06 PM

Nah, it's not sentiment. Every human being on Earth has immeasurable value because we're the only known things in the ENTIRE universe that has consciousness. Just because you live in a time when not all humans are treated the way they should be doesn't change that objective truth. There's 20ish billion of us in the past and every single one of them helped lead us to where we are now. You're part of the 8 billion that are contributing now, and what you do now will either help or hinder the next 2…

lol, absolutely not. Redpill is wholly antithetical to all science. It is doesn't even acknowledge the known spectrums of gender, sex, and sexuality. RP deliberately rejects science and that's why most scientists don't support it.

He is ACTUALLY worth something. Y'all are just depressed and nihilistic. That's far from objective reality. You have worth as a citizen. As a family member. As a friend. As a man capable of loving others and being loved.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 04:56 PM

It's not a problem for me at all. Again, because of common sense, formal education, access, and critical thinking skills, I know much of objective reality and can convey it to people who don't, even if they don't want to believe it.

Women think like this all the time. It's the start of all their romance novels. You've heard the phrase "love at first sight" a million times but never figured out how to apply it to your bitter, resentful life.

Common sense. 18 years of schooling. Information is everywhere. This is the Information Age. Information isn’t the problem. It’s critical thinking and reading skills that are lacking in all of RP.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 10:43 PM

Science barely has a distinction between male and female as it is. To objectively prove anything social about the human condition as it’s related to sex feels like a near impossible scientific leap. But the lack of proof hasn’t stopped most people.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 01:02 AM

most people would argue if this man expresses frustration or despair about his lack of options and his stagnant romantic life that he is behaving in an entitled manner No I don't think people think that at all. Child, you have spent too much time online. You think objective reality is measured in fallacies and latin phrases and burdens of proof. Stop. Because all you're doing is spiraling down the latter.

There’re so many challenges women face that your inability (unwillingness) to see it betrays how enormously self-centered and narrow minded you are. Your perspective is deeply destructive and you will never understand the truth of the universe when you can only see yourself at the center of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/26 07:37 PM

But you’re applying your limited understanding and experience to vastly complex systems that you don’t even have the words to describe. Why would you claim to understand these systems better than professionals who study them? Because you feel personally wronged?

My point was, is it really such a difficult choice? Part of the enjoyment is the challenge. If sex were easy it wouldn't be this worth pursuing.

Young man, I know for a fact that none of it is real. Not one ounce of the sorrow and frustration and pain is real. It's all in your head and you can feel free and in love with the world and yourself and share in that love with other people in your life. That is the true reality you have been lead astray from.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 05:27 AM

But do you feel like you're giving up your self respect in pursuing women? I suspect you're proud of yourself and your ability to impress.

Yes, that's with the influencers. But the people in the comments are like-minded folks. You can interact with them the same way you and I are now. Y'all can follow each other. They'll make their own little posts sometimes. Maybe they'll inspire you to post. Maybe you'll inspire each other with fitness. And maybe you'll expand to share more personal life challenges, like dating life. That seems more constructive than a long anonymous post here. Fitness guys have enormous capacity for improvement,…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 08:37 PM

That's because your understanding of systemic oppression is narrow-minded and egocentric. You're not *actually* addressing systemic oppression, you're just concerned about yourself.

That's a good thing. You want a challenge. You thrive on a challenge. Everything worth having is a challenge. And you already know you're better than every Chad, b/c they're superficial status-seekers, like the women that want them. So be grateful you know what *not* to be, and relish the challenge it affords you, because it's not easy but it means you'll attract the right kind of woman. And it will all feel worth it then.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 07:41 PM

Are you in the "real world"? Because you seem jaded and bitter, which I don't think has to reflect real life. That's your mind getting the better of you.

It may be challenging, but I think the Internet can foster some of the best possible interactions. I met my partner on a dating app. And I'm talking to you right now. It seems like maybe you're a fitness guy. I love watching the fitness community on TikTok and I think there's some healthy, positive, constructive dialogue happening over there. Just to name an example.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 07:31 PM

It’s true. You have your pick of the litter. The entire Internet is at your disposal. 4 billion women. You’ve never had more choices than before today. Why settle for a woman that’s obsessed with status? We can all do better.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 05:19 AM

Why do you claim structures like friends and family are no longer there? What disproportionate leverage do you think women have? There's far more women to choose from today than there were fifty years ago. I don't think anything you've said is actually backed up by sociology or science and it's just what *feels* right in your mind. I agree the social systems have to work, but it sounds like you're the one exacerbating their dysfunction with BS sexist assumptions and a lack of accountability.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:08 PM

they are harmful not because of what group they belong to but because of what is happening, or not happening, inside them. No, people are always problematic. But the practical effect of both groups being problematic and one group having more power than the other is systemic oppression. If you can't acknowledge that, then you can't address it. And if you can't address systemic oppression, then addressing problematic people "on both sides" will get you nowhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:23 PM

lol I suppose. But not in a particularly hopeful or aspirational way, more like as a resolved-to-my-fate, best-possible-outcome kind of way. I think I would have aspired to gay marriage and kids if I could have even imagined it.

Gay marriage was illegal until well into my adulthood. I honestly never even saw myself coming out. My best hope for myself was to be a snarky, old feminine man with a "roommate" b/c that's all society accepted at the time.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 04:19 PM

Why would that exist in any thread or topic? If a sub ever has the capacity to contain post debating a group of people’s humanity then the whole sub is tainted I think. That is the opposite of healthy, productive debate.

Just World fallacy doesn't apply to your own actions. In the most unjust world imaginable, you always have the capacity to behave justly. You're using the Just World fallacy to justify injustice, and that's not how it works.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 04:51 PM
1

Is it? B/c you're only looking at one event in gigantic, unfathomable system. I think a sociologist would look at outcomes and try to draw conclusions about the system. And most high-earning and high-powered roles are filled with men. And men are generally considerably more successful than women. So looking at the system as a whole, whatever apparent harm is observed in grading bias seems to have much less impact than all the other biases and challenges.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 04:43 PM

I think everyone complains about dating all the time. It’s extremely normal. I think if a man gets negative feedback from what he sees as just venting, it’s bc he’s actually expressing misogynist ideas that he doesn’t realize are misogynist. And coming to THIS sub to “just vent” is pretty misogynistic because why would you go to a forum about debating the legitimacy of women’s humanity to complain about dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 04:28 PM
1

Right, because it's part of an entire system of prejudices that all compound together to result in misogyny. Just like, teachers *are* provable stricter on Black students. That exacerbates racism. But if teachers are provably stricter to white students, that's obviously a problem (a weird one) but it's not promoting "white racism". If you had participated in the hypothetical I posed earlier it would have made more sense. The harm caused by a community that oppresses left-handed people is differe…

I think all of human history has tried to analyze the science of biology and draw sociological conclusions from it. And it’s pretty much always been the sources of the worst atrocities mankind has ever committed; misogyny, eugenics, and social Darwinism as some examples.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 06:03 PM
2

No you have it backwards. Peoples’ appetites have not changed. Only the quality of the food. A healthy society should foster healthy options without forcing the entire population to change their normal behaviors. Meanwhile, people *have* naturally progressed to see and value the humanity of women in a way they hadn’t before. So society, on its own, corrected itself and moved on, but people like you refuse to accept it and cling to an archaic, destructive past.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 04:06 PM
1

Well a quick Google suggests the issue is hardly clear or conclusive. I’m happy to take it seriously, but I don’t think the people who did those studies would label it as misandry and I’m not aware of any reputable sociologists who would claim it exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 03:57 PM
1

So you're allowing bias to cloud your own values. And the result is that your perception of reality becomes warped. Because you are associating an idea with something that it is not. So eventually you come to despise and even harm the thing you actually believe in and support because you cannot perceive it accurately in the practical world.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 02:37 AM

Obesity epidemic is not self-inflicted. In America at least, most accessible food is terrible and over-processed. People with similar behaviors would not expect to get as obese with the grocery stores of 50 years ago. But yeah the male loneliness epidemic is definitely entirely self-inflicted as it is merely a rejection of the progress society has already adopted.

Feminism is a subset of egalitarianism. Just like anti-racism is a subset of egalitarianism. And Egalitarianism is basically just secular humanism. All very broad, general terms that have been around for at least a century and have always promoted the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 11:35 PM
1

Feminism is definitely *only* an ideology. It's an ideology you probably subscribe to yourself if you weren't so mad at people who call themselves feminist or what you think they think feminism means. Feminism is just equality is just humanitarianism. It's really just the only constructive positive direction for human civilization to go in. It's that simple and everything else you're seeing and experiencing is cultural barbs.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 11:31 PM
1

What performance? Academic? I'm not familiar with this supposed bias in teachers. It does sound problematic though. And unrelated to patriarchy. Of course there are lots of biases we're exposed to all the time. It's only when they're sustained and systemic that they become "misandry".
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 10:52 PM

It's not bad-faith. It's to help you recon with the logical conclusions of your own beliefs.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 10:49 PM
1

No. You sound silly. Feminism is egalitarianism. If you need to label things with fallacies bc you’re a boy who doesn’t understand how to dialogue and learn naturally, I could say you’re engaging in a straw man fallacy because you are just flatly wrong in your understanding of what feminism is. Have you considered studying sociology so these systems could actually make more sense to you? Or are you content with only seeming out ideas that comport to your rigid, biased worldview and not objective…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 08:13 PM
1

No. You fundamentally lack understanding of what patriarchy is and probably most sociological systems in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 07:51 PM
1

What's the fallacy when boys online keep citing fallacies as if it is meaningful, helpful, constructive, or even accurate? No, it's firmly not a No True Scotsman fallacy b/c feminism is an idea not an ethnic group. So people who fail to live up to the ideal of feminism fail as feminists and don't represent feminist ideas. So it's not that I'm excluding anyone from feminism, it's that feminism exists as an idea regardless if *anyone* subscribes to it or not. And you people are committing the fall…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 07:50 PM

I love the framing of this question and encourage everyone to just be less shallow b/c it's a terrible quality in any partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 07:11 PM

Yes, b/c this is where y'all come to get your wild opinions. So I come here to speak truth to reason and help y'all learn how to be basic, normal, healthy, well-adjusted people when your egos don't get in the way.

Do you think a right-handed person who abuses a left-handed person is causing the same harm as a left-handed person who abuses a right-handed person?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 06:59 PM
1

You're misunderstanding what patriarchy is. Patriarchy doesn't mean men=bad women=good. Most women in a patriarchal society are bad too! Because they continue to reinforce the destructive systems that harm *everyone* men and women. So, if you want women to be less abusive and sexist and demanding and "misandrist" as you call them, you should unite against them and with everyone trying to dismantle the patriarchy.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 06:58 PM

oof the logic hoops you're jumping through to come to wild-ass conclusions tells me you're very far from objective reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 06:52 PM
1

No, but your worldview does need to be consistent with reality and not just your personal vibes and prejudices. You may have encountered women who hate and abuse men. They're objectively terrible people. But you aren't a victim of misandry for encountering it, you're just a victim of a terrible person. Just like if you encountered someone who hates left-handed people doesn't mean you're a victim of systemic-left-hand-abuse or whatever word you might have invented for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 05:41 PM

They're not gaslighting you. What you have come to believe is a complete lie. You're gaslighting yourself and they're piercing the veil.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 09:31 PM
2

Why not just don't date anyone who subscribes to those gender dynamics? And don't subscribe to them yourself. Problem solved.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 08:15 PM

No it really is your personality. Conventionally attractive people can get away with being narrow-minded jerks. You cannot. Stop believing destructive lies and you'll know yourself to be more attractive than you do now, and so will everyone else. You can definitely be unconventionally attractive, but not with a terrible, defeatist, superficial, mean-spirited personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 07:59 PM

Yes, you're as validated in your victimhood in the same way Tr*mp is validated that he "won" the 2020 election. Which is to say, objectively not at all, but you can find 77 million stupid people to agree with you anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 07:52 PM

Typical victim mentality from RP. No matter how upset Call Her Daddy makes you feel, you will never be victimized by it. But you, and all of us, *are* victims of the destructive lies propagated by the manosphere.

Yeah I think this is redpill territory. Are you a gender expert? Why are you reading a paper on psychoneuroendocrinology. Unless you're in this field of study I don't think you should be drawing any significant conclusions. Hormones is a wild new frontier of study and the psychological impacts are even broader and more unknown. To draw conclusions from a field that is only beginning to take shape has shown to be very destructive in the past and that's why most scientists don't speak in absolutes…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 06:43 AM

Yes, pretend to be Soldier Boy and see how many chicks you can pull. I think guys who try to act cool are immensely lame, but maybe that fictional guy would get more sex than you, so go for it. Regardless, I think, rather than pulling chicks, we'd all be happier and better off just being our authentic selves and finding people who like us for who we are, even if it's a smaller number and they're harder to find.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 06:21 AM

I think it depends on *why* you think men have "tendencies". If you think it's because of a patriarchal system of horribly learned behavior, that's blue pill. If you think men (and don't include trans men) are born genetically violent and untrustworthy rapists, that's red pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 06:14 AM

IMO, I think there's only red pill, a completely made up, destructive, misogynist worldview and then everyone else is just normal, regular, everyday person (blue pill). I dunno what pink pill is but, IMO, literally any idea drawn from red pill is destructive and harmful because it's all rooted in a complete lie. But also, I know gender dynamics are very real and visible in everyone's lives and it's not unreasonable for everyday people to hold some gender biases.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 06:05 AM

Wishful thinking. Chris Williamson will never be mainstream. Dr. Soh is discrediting herself. And Call Her Daddy will always be more reputable than literally anything in the manosphere. Whether it has 10 years or 100 years, RP will die on the ash bin of history along with all patriarchal ideologies that have come before it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/26 07:32 PM

Laws need to serve as guard rails for culture and society. And government can model good behavior with its own cultural footprint, like PBS. But culture will always act on its own and reject containment. Instead we should promote good media literacy and elevate voices that are constructive on this topic. That's all we can do.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/26 12:02 AM

I don't think fiction necessarily portrays them that way. I don't think the general public views them that way either. I think autistic people face enormous hurdles in hook up culture and dating in general but not because of how the public views them, but b/c all interpersonal relationships are often *very* heavily informed by neurotypical behaviors and autistic people are poor at communicating that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 11:38 PM

I agree. Also, if a woman gets the ick from you not paying, she may have harsh, unfair expectations of a male partner, so good riddance. But also, if you want to pay to be nice, that’s a sweet gesture.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 04:43 AM

Generalizations aren't the problem. The generalizations are accurate and helpful. A hit dog will holler. And you're telling on yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 10:44 PM
1

Hmm, to a point. A relationship should still be equitable in their minds. If he's a criminal, that's fair. Criminals are often hot and not even, necessarily, bad men. But if he's violent or mean or bad toward the partner, or if he believes she should be subservient, and she allows her personal safety and autonomy to be co-opted, that's not a healthy, constructive relationship for either person.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 06:44 AM

You'll only have "productive" conversations with similarly single-minded people. Try broadening your understanding of science and experiences outside of your own and the world will make a lot more sense and you won't sound so ignorant to people who don't already agree with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 09:44 PM

It is not a fair label and anyone who thinks that is choosing to be narrow-minded. I'll repeat in planer English for you. Your data is bullshit. You don't fucking know how many autistic women are having sex b/c no one fucking knows how many autistic women there are, or men. No scientist would speak as definitively as you because they are objectively more informed than you and they know the conversation to be dramatically more nuanced than you. Being in a relationship is "always and automatically…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 09:28 PM

Chauvinism is very kind, especially in this dark, hateful world rn. But I hope it's not necessary. I think men can, in general, treat women like peers and equals and women can, in general, appreciate that and return the favor.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 09:14 PM

And I explained to you how drawing conclusions about who has it "worse" is narrow-minded and untrue, but it's important to you to *feel* right regardless, and you should get that examined. What does it mean for an autistic woman to "have it better" when she's in a relationship that is damaging and unsuccessful? In your angry, self-centered mind she still has it better than you b/c at least she gets laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 08:56 PM
2

Well women already get significantly underdiagnosed for autism than men, and our understanding of autism is changing rapidly. But I wouldn't be surprised if plenty of autistic women get used for sex then discarded. Or divorced later in life. I'm not sure it's helpful to even compare; nobody "has it easier" here. The challenges just manifest differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 08:42 PM
1

I'm the same way. But I wouldn't say I wasn't invited to the parties. I'd say I chose not to go. And I can and do make my own parties with people I do like and respect. And create my own community of people I know aren't like the others.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 08:19 PM

Your worldview is so limiting. Throw your own party. Why would you want to attend that party anyways? You think if you lack morals you'll be as successful as them?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 07:59 PM
4

I think what you described applies to women too. Maybe a socially awkward woman can get someone she's into to give her attention easier than a socially awkward man, but she doesn't necessarily get what she wants, a long term relationship. I think a lot of socially awkward women tend to be used for sex and labeled as "crazy".
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 07:55 PM

It's not possible to be redpilled and feminist. I think your idea of redpill is a bit lite on the seriousness of it. Being superficial or acknowledging that other people are superficial is not redpill.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 12:28 AM

Well you're way off base then. BP is just everyone who isn't RP. BP is just normal everyday people who also like superficial things but don't let it dictate their personality. You can be obsessed with your looks and still be BP. You just can't insist people should suck your d*ck b/c you work out a lot. That's what makes us BP.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 11:52 PM

Body count is a meaningless metric. Do you count r*pes??? Like seriously people. It’s a wacky, stupid, archaic notion that people need to erase from their minds.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 06:27 AM

Your questions sound the same to me. What is the difference between a queer man and a straight man who isn't rigid about his sexuality? You think a "straight" man likes feminine features whether on a boy or a girl? I would stop *very* short of drawing conclusions like that. Sexuality is wide-reaching and ever-changing and good for anyone who feels liberated enough in this world to explore it safely.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 03:31 AM

Still sounds like mostly men develop this unhealthy behavior and that men need to be explicitly trained not to. Not sure what value you think ignoring gender serves.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 10:27 PM

Personality isn't a space. Dr. Phil isn't a doctor. If this personality type is destructive, how do people develop it in the first place? What kinds of people tend to develop it?

That's an unfortunate inference to make. But if women actually talk like that, then they're making the same unfortunate inference that you're making.

Why wouldn't someone with Crohn's disease want someone with ALS to share their experiences? They're all a part of the wider disability community and they both benefit from acknowledging and working together to fight challenges that people with disabilities face. The simple truth is, you want women to understand and empathize with your experience. And they want you to do the same. And when you do, you'll both be on the same playing field. But seeing that as a challenge is only getting you further…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 08:57 PM

Why would you look like a POS? I can talk with women about their experiences with rape. And I can talk with you about your challenges in dating. And I can tie them both together and relate and empathize with both parties. Why can't you?

Well if you live in India you have very different circumstances from me in the US. Regardless, there are sociologists in India who understand and can explain the oppressive systems that harm men there. And just like I did above, they'll tell you it's all rooted in *patriarchy*, not misandry. Feminism always *only* supports gender equality and if you don't see that happening it's because those people are not actually feminist or you misunderstand what gender equality looks like.

Again, it’s not a tangent. Not from their perspective. I’m sorry you didn’t get the sympathy you were looking for, but then, don’t ask for sympathy from people who have it worse than you. It’d be like you complaining about the justice system to a Black man (assuming you aren’t one). You can and should still talk about these things, but from the perspective of being on the side of everyone who is marginalized. We’re all on the same side here, so don’t take it as a tangent, take it as reinforcing …

I’m sorry you think those conversations don’t intersect, because they do. Why are you talking about your experience? To commiserate. To share your experience. To evoke empathy in others for you. Rape shouldn’t be taken as a conversation-ender. It’s a monologue ender and a conversation starter.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 06:32 PM

No one would say that because ‘blue pill’ is some random, too online nonsense thing. There is no such thing as blue pill and the population already knows that. Blue pill = normal person.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 06:22 PM

It isn’t misandry though and believing otherwise just confuses you. Think about the ‘why’. Why would someone insist a man should be more masculine? It’s not because they hate men the way they are or because they think women are superior. It’s because they hate women. They’re terrible women-haters, yes even the women, and you should be enormously grateful that you’re not one of them. If anything, you’re a feminist.

That's definitely systemic and terrible! Men and women do that and they're despicable bigots who should be publicly shamed for it. But it's not misandry. It's actually misogyny. And homophobia. And it all stems from *Patriarchy*. The women who talk that way are self-hating. Because they're subscribing to a hierarchy of men over women and masculine men over feminine men and so on. You should feel comfortable knowing you're objectively a better human being than every person who talks like that and…

RP men are wrong because they take the same reality we all know exists and then dramatically oversimplify it. And with that bastardization of reality, they then 'connect the dots' to come to destructive, bigoted, false conclusions and their perception of reality is lost.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 01:45 AM

I'd rather date the person I'm in love with and loves me and once that happened, their height and age was just a fun bonus feature of the person I love.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 10:26 PM

Friend, you are more than capable of having a triumph arc, you're very nearly there, and I'm confident you will some day, but I don't think you're quite ready for a partner yet. Being single can be a good thing and can offer you time to grow, and not your income.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 09:59 PM

Blame them for what? Their struggles with dating? Why should we care? You think this is comparable to RP men because they're similarly broken? I only blame RP men because they choose to believe a completely false, egocentric ideology and then vote in ways to ruin everyone else's lives because of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 09:53 PM
1

But you being upset by "misandry" does nothing because you fundamentally fail to understand what it is and thus will never be able to address it. Sociologists understand it and can explain to you the difference between prejudice and systemic forces like misogyny or racism. And with the complete picture you can take productive action. You're just spinning your wheels like the millions of manboys today.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 09:12 PM

There is no paradox. You just happily and uncritically ate up whatever garbage the billionaire rag fed you. Your corporate overlords want you to blame women so you don't see the real problem, that billionaires don't pay their fair share of taxes.

Is empathy handed out differently or are you picking and choosing the loudest voices or the most adversarial? You're able to observe the nuances of these two situations. Why not conclude then, that the people with bad takes are just not good people? There's no shortage of them. That should serve as your filter for who's opinion you respect. But to take it as evidence of a systemic, widespread prejudice against men feels like an unconvincing leap to me.

Friend, it sounds like you’re as progressive and respectable as any reasonable person, but I think your argument for it is misplaced. Because the ACLU wouldn’t say they’re fighting “misandry” in tackling Selective Service. These are patriarchal institutions and dismantling them promotes feminism and peace. You’re right to observe that, when patriarchal institutions like the Draft are dismantled, men benefit too, because the patriarchy has always hurt men. You aren’t a men’s rights activist. You’…

Nah dude. You sound objectively dumb. Sorry. You don’t deserve to be “canceled” because it’s a very normal thing to imagine, but you are choosing to believe and think things we know to be false. I prefer prescriptions that adhere to the reality of the world rather than a toxic, destructive lie about how women and men inherently behave. Working out more, improving your physical health, improving your hygiene, improving your sense of style, improving your rapport with different people are all great goals. I think if you’re a lefty it’s not possible for you to be RP. Maybe RP just helped you come to terms with how women can be just as awful and cynical as men. What redpillishness have you undertaken? What success have you seen? Where do you find you still get the “ick”?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 06:20 PM
29

Sexual release is a need and masturbation is very healthy and should be encouraged.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 11:42 PM

It's not a similar framing at all. RP thinks the destructive, negative ideas about how attraction works are natural and should be leaned into and taken advantage of. The rest of healthy, well-adjusted society knows them to be flaws in your personality that you are capable of addressing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 10:24 PM

Your outlook is wrong. You don't need to "get" women. You need to be a man that the women you like would also like. I don't like women who think men need a high paying job to be worthwhile and I don't think you do either, so stop trying to attract them. It's disrespectful to the women you do like, to lump them in with that, and it diminishes your own worth. You know your job title is not a measure of your worth as a partner any more than a woman's sexuality is a measure of her worth as a partner…

You're falling into the same trap RP lays for everyone. Going to the gym, eating right, and getting a high paying career is fundamentally *not* introspection and not even, necessarily, self improvement. You can go on a diet and get thin and conventionally attractive, but once your subscribe to RP ideology, you are worse person with a toxic personality and will run into challenges with your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 09:51 PM

that's not seeing your partner as a whole human. Women are more than their sexuality and you are more than your job title.

"improve yourself". "looks match". There's no such thing. And you aren't improving yourself. It's advice that presupposes a false reality. Once you find the advice "works" (because it's a pacifying, gross oversimplification of reality) then you buy into the lie and eventually become a destructive cultist, same as MAGA.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 03:57 AM
-4

No. Men didn't "observe" RP because it doesn't exist. Men observed challenges in the dating market and with women they weren't related to and (the one's with smaller brain capacity) developed an oversimplified, pacifying answer to those challenges that negates any need for introspection and provides a comfortable shroud of victimhood to hide in.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 03:33 AM

Y'all turned to something that made you feel good and those feelings are valid and everyone deserves that. But that doesn't change that it's all a cult built on lies, like MAGA. It's very challenging for anyone to feel good and accepted and valued in this world, maybe especially for men nowadays. But I know it to be possible without tricking yourself into believing destructive lies that hurt yourself and others. You can know and love yourself and others without denying objective reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/26 07:32 PM

Nah that’s just RP talk. It’s a convenient, simple, believable lie. But you know that instinctively. You know people without father figures who turned out great. You know people with father figures who turned out terrible. That's a different hypothetical, but it still illustrates my point. What is the risk in that scenario?

No I don’t see where you’re going. If you take an action you should expect a range of reactions. Yes from negative to positive. This is the basic human interaction and it is not gendered.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 02:54 AM
-1

Hmm “don’t do it if you’re not conventionally attractive” is a gross oversimplification, but if you want to use a sledgehammer to crack a walnut, that’ll do it. I bet even “ugly” people can and do successfully hit on women and I think there’s a lot of enlightening truth in understanding how that happens. But again, if you just want a walnut cracked, then you’ve achieved that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 02:44 AM

So there are common courtesies regarding rejecting someone. What common courtesies should there be regarding hitting on someone in public?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/26 11:33 PM

That's a great reaction and I'm glad for it, but that wasn't my question. Would you insist that all men should react the way you would? Would you say a man is an immoral person if they don't react the way you would? I would not. Men are entitled to not want certain kinds of attention, even in public, as are women. And the reason it isn't an issue for you is personal and great, for you, but it's not universal or fair to expect everyone to behave the way you would.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/26 11:30 PM

I don't think you'd expect that of a man. If a man is in a public place with lots of his male friends around and a strange man came up and tried to talk to him is he obligated to be friendly and approachable?

Of course young man. There are millions of women who don't find sex *that* important or who don't mind getting it elsewhere (if you don't mind). Sexual hangups do not have to be a deal-breaker for *any* relationship. They're certainly very challenging and a social taboo, but that's just unfortunate, unfair stigma. Thoughtful, fair people of either sex will always be understanding and accommodating.

I dunno you kinda sound like the immature one to me b/c it seems like you haven't made an effort to understand their perspective and you think your experiences should be the center of this issue when really you're a passive observer of their challenges as women and they're conveying their challenges to you, perhaps sometimes unhelpfully, and you're responding similarly unhelpfully.

Your question is a confused hypothetical. How do you 'poison the well' for a well that is only defined as being poisoned? There are already successful, attention-grabbing people on the left. We don't need insane people. We can't use them. Our ideology is based in logic. So, by definition, anything that poisons the well of rational thought serves Republicans only.

Not trusting an entire demographic is prejudiced and wrong and destructive. Not trusting most men right now because they've shown their true colors in the last election is just smart and accurate and you should be making an effort to earn back that trust rather than complaining
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 06:42 PM

Correct. People who encourage young boys to be sexual dynamos are villains to society.

The implication is in his logic. His logic is that he shouldn't feel bad about his feelings of attraction because they are based in evolution and thus scientific and objectively "true". The supposed "objectivity" of his own feelings is the central point of his argument. If he doesn't believe his feelings are objectively "true" then his feelings aren't "valid", according to his flawed, man-boy logic. Of course us adults know that's foolish thinking. His feelings are valid because all feelings are…

Thanks for the book recs! The lack of nuance in these young peoples' minds is normal I just wish they understood that rather than seeking out destructive, false echo chambers.

Attraction is a *literally* unfathomably complex emotion in the human brain. To falsely attribute patterns to that attraction simply because you aren't capable of understanding how complex attraction is, is destructive and untrue. Any argument that X is "objectively" more attractive foolishly reinforces the narrow-minded, false understanding of your own attraction. Scientists continue to study and break down these false tropes with each subsequent study. Regardless, if a feeling is not harmful, …

Poor child. I'm here to help you. The snark and more is well earned because you all act very poorly. And I'll help you understand logically why. "Well others do it more" is not my argument. *My* argument, as I continue to articulate, was that *you*, and OP, have no argument. That the idea that "women do more violence than people realize (wtf that means) but still not more than men" is not a valid argument or meaningful in a discussion of gender and gender disparity and even thinking about it as …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 05:46 AM

It's objectively interesting that *you* think it's interesting. It betrays how poor your critical thinking skills are. Regardless, my point remains. If men are more violent than women, as you admit, then men are the issue. Full stop. Your argument about the degree to which that is true isn't relevant except to continue to affirm that men are more violent and problematic.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 09:11 PM

You aren't arguing women are *more* violent than men. So the problem still lies with men. What purpose do you *think* you're serving in promoting this idea?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 08:46 PM

No, you feel offended because you skew and misunderstand the critique folks have. We celebrate male sexuality. It's the leaning on a false interpretation of your sexuality to justify misogyny and subjugation of an entire class of peoples that is the issue.

Demographic? I’m talking about victims of domestic violence vs. gang violence and suicide. You keep interpreting the wrong message, purposefully so, because you are incapable of believing there’s a rational perspective outside of your own. So your mind repeatedly skews what I’m saying until your limited, rigid worldview can make sense again.

It's frustrating how stubborn and block-headed you are that you continue to lose the point. You will drill yourself into the ground to be "right". Maybe I'll try an example to help you understand perspectives different from your own. So, people *know* that immigrants kill fewer Americans than actual American citizens. They're aware of the stats and evidence that undocumented immigrants in America are actually statistically much safer than the general populace. But many don't care about the stats…

It’s a part of human nature. There are eight billion humans and every one is unique and special and has the potential for positive impact when we simply embrace who they are. And people who think they can have kids and pressure them to be something they’re not inhibit that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 05:52 PM
1

Poor silly confused little boy. This isn’t something to prove to you. It’s to help you understand perspectives different from your own. You don’t have to believe it (though it’s true). It’s the reasonable, thoughtful, informed perspective of most people, myself included. And your perspective, alongwith redpill, is one that believes all these deaths of women are as valid as all the deaths of men. You think your evidence substantiates that, even though it’s just a value-judgement.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 05:26 PM
1

You say women are seen as more vulnerable. I say women are seen (accurately) as more innocent. Regardless I’ll repeat the same point again I’ve been trying to get into your thick skull. The data you think is relevant is not. It’s a moral difference. We consider these women more innocent than the men who die from violence are. And you don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 10:22 AM

The vast majority of people who do want kids want them for selfish reasons. What’s your reason for wanting kids? To propagate your belief system?

/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 03:33 AM

It doesn’t matter what I think. I’m explaining to you the justification of people who care about stats like this. But you can continue to think they’re wrong to consider a female victim of domestic violence to be more deserving of care and attention and systemic support than a male gang member.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 03:30 AM
1

I'm not blaming anyone. I'm drawing the same distinction any reasonable person draws between someone who commits crime and someone who dates someone who commits crime. You are equating the two.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 09:54 PM
1

You keep trying to flip this around by attributing blame to women who most likely are *not* involved in crime and most people *are* sympathetic to. Gangbangers are not their partners and most people understand that distinction, nor do they blame women for their own murder, in the way you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 09:18 PM
2

Are you referring to abortion? So you don't mind women getting killed because women also get abortions?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 08:07 PM
1

You're referring to victims of domestic violence as criminals dude. No, I don't believe the public views women who are dating and killed by criminals to be criminals themselves. That's where your views are extreme and outside the norm and suspiciously unsympathetic to victims of domestic violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 08:03 PM
1

Not either gender. I think you're suggesting that women who date gangbangers are as culpable in their own murder as the gangbangers are. Aside from being kinda gross, I'm not sure much of the developed world sees it that way. That's why we do take the stat about women being killed more seriously than you. And we're perfectly aware of all the stats on men's deaths too.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 05:50 AM
-1

Men aren't *killed* in the same way women are. Mens' untimely deaths are often a consequence of their own actions: gang violence, suicide, recklessness, etc. Women are killed for existing. So it's still more reasonable to take violence against women more seriously because it's literally terrorizing in a way that you aren't terrorized by gang violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 03:58 AM
6

I agree. It’s also just impractical. Sorry but some women really do like the Republican 🍆. Regardless, women should, and often do, reject serious, long term commitments with conservative men.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 01:54 AM
2

Well unless you stop selling redpill garbage, don’t expect women to buy. They’re right to starve rather than buy the garbage you’re selling. Still your fault. Redpill men are the problem.

I think men have significant disadvantages in dating life atm and it's frustrating and unfortunate and challenging to navigate. And I think it's not even comparable to the disadvantages women face in all aspects of life and I think people who try to compare them betray a naiveté.

Do you think you can only advocate for men b/c you're a man? And that only women can advocate for women? If that's true, then women fighting for the 90% who experience traumatizing violence and men advocating against the 10% who "lie" necessarily results in more violence against women because men are 50% of the population and they have more institutional power.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 09:25 PM
0

Men should advocate to make life extremely difficult for violent men. And once that critical area is far better addressed, and women are safer, your advocacy against liars will actually be helpful and constructive rather than serving merely as an excuse to dismantle these efforts to protect women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 08:59 PM
2

This isn't a helpful question. They both excuse ignorance in different ways. Men excuse ignorance in women who don't understand finances, or carpentry, or sports. And women excuse ignorance in men who don't understand systemic oppression.

And my argument was that these outliers don't actually impact any policy and aren't even meaningful, thoughtful discussions, but merely excuses by male-supremacists to push back against the MeToo movement.

We know you don't mean *all*, but that you want to focus on the 2-10% of false accusations rather than the 90-98% that aren't or all the accusations that don't get reported, says something about you and nothing about systemic issues or gender distinctions.

Nope. Women are, famously, not men.

I think a lot of these "negatives" are in your mind. Describing sexuality as "foolish" says more about your disposition toward it than it does about the actual concept of sexuality. Sexuality, or lack thereof, is integral to your identity in ways even you don't realize.

Well I think most people would say that sounds weird. Most people, when they get divorced, move into different homes. That makes way more sense to me. And just because you refuse to move out doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to keep it all for yourself, including custody. That’s not how divorce works.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/25 08:20 PM

That’s an example of a “right” that needs to be provided to men, yes, you’re correct. So you would have continued to live with someone who hates you and you also hate? It makes no sense to me. You have to come up with a divorce settlement that both parties can agree to. That's how this works. Or, just, don't get married and don't buy a house with someone else.

No no, not "low" expectations. It's just a fact of the nature of autism that they cannot read social queues in the same way as you or I, so we simply cannot expect them to necessarily react in the same way. Nor should we. It's actually bigoted to expect them to behave in the same way you can.

Maybe change 1. to “not an excuse to subscribe to male supremacy”. It sounds like autism can sometimes be a critical social issue for some people, plus, people with autism shouldn’t necessarily be expected to learn social queues, just by virtue of how we know it works. Do you believe they're *owed* more custody b/c they make more money? That can't be true. And how many of these custody settlements were even contested? Is it that women are award custody more or that men compete less for more custody?

Men are overrepresented in child support because they make more money. I think women face very different challenges. Like say, getting pregnant. Contracting STI's. Being beaten or killed. So, your description of how society acts is very narrow, overly simplistic, and egocentric.

If so, then that seems consistent with the BP perspective and, as far as I can tell, directly conflicts with RP because they're the ones pushing this hypergamy narrative.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 10:47 PM

Damn, there's no way any scientific field uses "mate value" like that, but please go ahead and describe it for me and I'll look into it more. I consider myself a scientist so I'm happy to learn.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 10:30 PM

No. That woman was trash. My friends don’t behave like narcissists.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 07:25 AM
1

Huh? I’m not “defending”. You’re assuming divorce is not a pragmatic choice and that’s your personal opinion. In my opinion divorce can be a very pragmatic choice. Thus the choice to get divorced may be entirely consistent with pragmatic BP in more cases than with pragmatic RP.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 04:08 AM
1

All great questions for someone still learning. Here is where we must separate the abstract, hypothetical, theoretical online space from the real-world, pragmatic, rooted-in-time-and-space space. Because to compare the practice of FGM to circumcision is to compare things that exist in totally different spaces in this vast complex social fabric of the world. And one idea may seem true in one space but that doesn’t mean it’s true for all or other spaces. So when I say it’s not comparable, I don’t …
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 02:27 AM

Divorce can be a pragmatic choice. It is if you believe a woman should not stay married to someone who has hostel views of women and you have a firm understanding of what that is. Regardless, I wouldn’t necessarily draw any conclusions from stats like that. What makes think that’s representative of BP? I don’t consider most people, men or women, to follow a stringent code of BP. It’s just a philosophy, same as yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 02:17 AM
1

FGM is a practice deliberately performed to reduce sex drive in women and destroy the clitoris because it is intended to make women more submissive. It is toxic, and destructive and performed in communities where women are not free to make choices for their own bodies or their children’s. Circumcision is a cultural practice of cleanliness that doesn’t have nearly the same impact, stigma, etc. nor do most men even regret the surgery. They then often elect for the same surgery for their sons.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 12:56 AM
2

I don’t believe any degree of critique or pragmatism conflicts with BP. I think there’s more to RP than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 12:48 AM
3

So women are preoccupied by babies, men experience that as a lack of affection, and they falsely attribute that to hypergamy?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 12:40 AM
0

Hmm would you like to talk about circumcision? I support ending the practice. But the idea that it's comparable to FGM or that society must legalize FGM or other extreme actions to make society less discriminatory is a false one.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 12:31 AM

If you lack understanding, then you won't be persuaded by the truth. The best I can do is encourage you to take some courses on sociology and systems of oppression.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 11:52 PM
-1

There’s a common refrain in progressive spaces that “fighting inequality feels like discrimination to the privileged.” So, just because you personally perceive it that way, doesn’t mean it’s real. In truth, discrimination is a super complex concept that sociologists have been trying to crack for decades and not something you necessarily can know from a cursory google search.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 07:25 PM
1

I’m not sure that’s true. We value our mates. Our mates have immense value to us. We just have different values than RP.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 07:14 PM
-7

My argument is that you people perceive these laws as discrimination because you’re too simple-minded to understand how discrimination works.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 04:59 PM
4

Goofy. 🙄 There are no laws that discriminate against men. Only laws that work to counteract systemic discrimination that already exists against women. And you perceive that as discrimination against men because, again, you lack understanding of complex systems of oppression.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 04:58 PM
0

No. This is a mirage of your mind’s struggle to grasp the vastly complex world of discrimination. You aren’t right. Just lacking depth, complexity, and perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 04:28 PM

I don’t think anything said here necessarily conflicts with BP.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 04:06 PM

I’m confused. How is that different from regular old love? I found and chose the absolute best partner I could get too. I just didn’t directly seek out someone of higher class/status or reject people just because they weren’t. And I suspect you didn’t either.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 03:59 PM
5

You certainly deny it in yourself, no? Do you subscribe to male hypergamy? Shouldn’t RP consider male hypergamy a bad thing if female hypergamy is bad? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 04:16 AM
2

If that wasn’t it, then give an example of male hypergamy
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 04:13 AM

I dont understand. You’re RP. Does that mean alphamen should want a polygamous relationship? Do you even want that for yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 04:11 AM

For my queer male friends, I give a little extra deference and space for struggles due to their sexuality, if they happen to have any. For straight male friends, I give a little extra deference and space for their outward manifestations of toxic masculinity, if they happen to have any.

If so, then not significantly. I had my first date at 20. First bf at 26 and now happily committed a decade later.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 01:59 AM

Progressives and real feminists already agree with you. Stop arguing with people who aren’t thoughtful feminists. Your issue is with society as a whole, and we’re all in agreement there buddy.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 01:50 AM

You’re mistaken. You’re suggesting it’s OK or reasonable for them to engage in toxic. That’s your personal opinion and you’re entitled to it. Regardless, when they engage in toxic behaviors, it’s more than reasonable for everyone else in the world to regard them with less sympathy and even react harshly (though never toxically). You may personally disagree with the sentiment, but I think you’d be hard-pressed in persuading many of it.

Delete the gender references in your post and I’ll like it. No one should be hypergamous. Of course. But singling out women is sexist and unfair.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/25 01:18 PM

When they direct that anger at women they become an even more toxic thing than what made them bitter and angry in the first place. They’re making the world worse than it already is.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/25 06:49 AM
1

I suspect you’re being intellectually lazy and narcissistic and can’t actually reconcile your own beliefs with the issue of sexism, but that doesn’t bother you because your worldview is so small you don’t even realize that you’re being sexist.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 02:00 PM
1

How does that track? You think women want to cheat more but they don’t in actuality?? No, reckon with the logical conclusion of your own ideas Joe. If women want to cheat more than men then they would cheat more than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 01:28 PM
1

Maybe part of why you’re bigoted is because you’re lazy and full of yourself. “So I would say based on that that men are generally against cheating, and women at least don't see anything wrong with it enough to express negative feelings about it.” Here’s your quote that a reasonable person could infer you mean men are necessarily more faithful than women. Feel free to try to correct me if it’s not too much effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 01:02 PM
4

I’m sad that your response to racism is sexism. No, racism in women is never acceptable and the issue of male Asian attraction is a very well known one and all of us in informed, progressive spaces have been pushing back against it for over a decade because of course we all know and agree that women like the ones you encountered are disdainful. That’s why Ali Wong cast hunky Asian men in her movie. To help prove what we already know, Asian men can be sexy af.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 11:33 AM

I asked you. You detailed your thought process and made the assumption based on your read of this sub specifically. You go back and read it and explain what you meant in a way that doesn’t maintain that men are necessarily more faithful than women, if I’m wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 11:14 AM
1

Yes the idea that women are naturally less faithful than men is factually untrue and promotes a bigoted prejudice about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 08:02 AM
1

No that's great! What a wonderful way to see the world. But when your opinions are hateful, racist, sexist, and destructive and people explain that to you, you have an obligation to listen and learn and try to reconcile your worldview with the truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 03:57 AM

If he's mentally ill, this is tragic, terrible exploitation. If he isn't and just thought he had a chance with her, then he's a moronic, narcissist who should have known better and got he deserved.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 03:51 AM
1

Fair... But how was he exploited? For his money? I suspect there are a lot of ways women are exploited, mentally ill and not, that you may not feel as sympathetic toward.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 03:45 AM
1

And yet you know nothing about men. Why cling to an ideology that is hateful and wrong? Just because it comports with your limited lived experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 03:14 AM
1

Again, that just says something about your friend group. It says nothing about the wider world. And to presume it does is super toxic and destructive and not helpful to you in your life.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 02:44 AM
1

Right, so then surrounding yourself with these people is not telling you the truth. And you pulled stats for women, why not for men?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 02:26 AM
1

Goofy. 🙄 You don't need to surround yourself with awful people to know the truth of the world. You know less of it in fact. Would you say men in general just love cheating?

No clue what this is, but I'll just take you at your word that this is some destructive, unhelpful policy and in that theoretical case all actual feminists would of course oppose it and support its removal. Many of the cases of rape of men you ostensibly care about are committed with objects (because they're commonly raped by violent, vin…

Again, you failed to understand, because you haven’t experienced an awakening like I have. In truth, you only think you know the world for what it is because you have a very limited perspective. But the world is vastly more complex than you have imagined and things you think are objectively true only appear that way because you can’t see the whole picture. But I can see it all now and everything makes perfect sense and comports with all observed reality from history, sociology, physics, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/25 03:55 AM

No. I discovered even greater logic and rationality through the sheer force of will to love someone different from myself and maybe one day you will too.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/25 03:04 AM

The narrow perspective you have of the truth is deeply racist and your willful ignorance makes you a racist.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 08:49 PM

Well maybe don't get that detailed, but that "she played a big part in how I view women" is a wonderful, powerful sentiment and major relationship goals man, so congrats to both of you and I hope you don't feel any shame for your past because you worked through it and I'm sure you helped her through things in ways you don't realize either. I was never RP, but I had an awakening of sorts due to sheer love and determination for my partner too and it's something I'll be eternally grateful for.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 07:32 PM

It’s true. Why do people think medicine is fine for everything but your brain?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 02:50 PM

No these ideas haven’t subsided, they’re compounding. They’re all still true. It’s still racist to have racial preferences. We just have dramatically more nuanced conversations about the context and to what degree. And of course every human, then and now, deserves choice and agency in their partner. The conversations have become more complex and refined, but the ideas persist because they’re rooted in objective reality and human nature.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 11:31 PM

We can admit it. I don't care what AI says, but if psychologists have studied and determined this "women-are-wonderful" phenomena exists I can admit it and believe it and even perceive it in much of society. I can also admit the vast array of entrenched, institutional misogyny and patriarchy that sociologists can measure and depict for us and I can also easily observe in everyday life.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 02:15 AM

You're basically blue pill dude. 👍🏻
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 05:54 AM

It’s not insane. It’s perfectly reasonable that you wouldn’t feel comfortable with it. But I’d encourage you to push your boundaries and try to let her be vulnerable with you in this way. It is important to her. And the reason you find it challenging to hear is a bit shallow and superficial, so it’s not a healthy emotion to hold onto.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 08:20 AM

You’re making a lot of false and really absurd assumptions. You don’t understand our perspective so stop guessing. It just makes you sound bitter and silly.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 03:42 AM

I don't believe holding women to the same standard as you do yourself is comparable to the genuine misogyny many promiscuous men have toward women. Good for you for knowing your standards and if they aren't necessarily gendered then I don't see anything toxic about it. You're entirely consistent with Blue Pill to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 12:00 AM

I agree. But most critique says little about feminism and a lot about the individual and OP spoke volumes about himself.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 10:54 PM

People do acknowledge patterns or harm and double standards all the time. People have studied feminism for longer than you’ve been alive. People also have personal issues that can cause them to perceive toxic behaviors that aren’t there.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 06:09 PM
1

I thought you were OP. But if you say all feminists are hypocritical about toxic behavior then i don’t agree because I don’t think I or you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 06:06 PM
6

I can address the issue perfectly. You cannot receive it because of your mental block. I’m not trying to manipulate you. This should be what you want. I’m trying to help you understand objective reality. You’re so deeply confused. But facts aren’t helping because what you actually need is mindfulness.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 05:38 PM
3

And I repeat, these aren’t toxic behaviors. We are more thoughtful on this issue than you because we’ve lived feminism our whole life. You are internalizing toxic behavior because you are insecure. The toxicity is in you. Not feminism. Mindfulness will make the world make much more sense to you. And hurt you less.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 05:34 PM
12

You don’t understand what feminism is. Also you take offense to certain things due to personal insecurities that no one else can address but you. Feminism is not responsible for your poor self worth.

I think your central issue is that your perceptions of reality are deeply skewed from actual, observable, verifiable reality that most of us all acknowledge exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 10:17 AM

To describe it as something "off" is to accept the false duality of "normal" human behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 06:58 AM
2

And you are perceiving untruths. Stop trying to challenge my understanding. You only continue to build the walls around your false worldview. Objective reality is out there and millions of people can and do perceive it accurately, but you do not. You deny it at your own expense. You ostracize yourself and promote the very ideas you believe yourself to be opposing. It is very much possible to achieve a world view that is simple and accurate and is consistent with that of millions of others' world…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 12:52 AM
2

I am a feminist man. I am more aware of men's problems than you are. I am more conscious of all of these issues than you. And I come to a different conclusion than you on how to reach equality. That should tell you that you're missing something about the issue. Instead, because you can't handle the introspection, you will decide that "feminism" is the problem and you will continue to actively work against the thing you think you support because you fail to grasp the objective reality of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 11:46 PM
1

That's a very false perception of reality. You should challenge your prejudices about attraction and women specifically because I think they're rooted in resentment rather than observable, objective fact.

Again, the argument isn't "it could be worse" it's "it measurably, demonstrably, dramatically IS worse and that, while you and I agree for equality, the actual practical process of reaching it over centuries can be bumpy and faces challenges and sometimes little pockets of unfairness get tolerated because in the holistic, broad, generational-scheme it is enormously beneficial to the same equality we all favor and do see coming in the centuries ahead. And the men who experience those little bumps…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 10:48 PM
1

I think your perception of objective reality is *very* far off. And to feel depressive about your child's gender is not a healthy, reasonable reaction, feminist or not. That suggests to me you may have a serious mental block, a personal mental issue preventing you from seeing objective reality as it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 10:13 PM
1

That isn't how I describe what feminists do. It's not that they "have a right to fuck up others". It's that, "they're already playing with such a terrible hand you should be thanking your fucking stars you don't have to go through that. So tip your head down, keep your mouth shut, and learn to be fucking grateful because that's what you *should* feel, as a man in a sexist world that also sometimes has moments where men can be laughed at for not having a lot of money. 🙄"
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 10:06 PM
-4

I don't know either of them. I'm a feminist for real equality as well, but sometimes not all situations can come out exactly equally and, given that women are seriously fucked by society in a lot of ways rn, I don't see erring on the side of the women in some cases as necessarily harmful to real equality, but actually to promote it in the long run.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 08:27 AM
-3

That's a fair opinion to have. But to suggest McEwan doesn't support feminism or that *you* shouldn't b/c of McEwan's opinion is to sound foolish.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 08:01 AM
3

You're mistaking McEwan's point. She of course welcomes and is grateful for the breaking of gender barriers. She's only frustrated with the sexist disparity in how it is treated. And you are free to disagree that, in your opinion, it's not sexist to praise men for being at-home-dads. But to skew that to mean she believes men *don't* or *shouldn't* have progressive freedom is to completely misread her point.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 06:54 AM
3

I believe I do live in that world, it's just a much smaller one of curated people, like-minded attitudes, and found family.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 04:27 AM
19

I'd agree with this. Obviously a stay-at-home dad should be celebrated and not laughed at by society. Anyone not giving men the same financial flexibility as women is not a progressive and I wouldn't be friends with them. Also, anyone who experiences rigid gender norms and, in response, acts out misogynistically, would not be my friend.

Paying for sex work should be safe and legal and you shouldn't feel stigmatized for using it. Women who oppose it are not true feminists IMO.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 12:15 AM

But a marriage based on financial need is not an equitable marriage anyways. Don't you *want* a woman to marry you for who you are?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/25 04:15 PM

If you see a blue pill person denigrating a lack of sexual activity then they have more pills to take b/c that's ignorant.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 08:41 PM
10

No. Lack of sexual activity can be related to lots of things and it's not necessarily justified for others to judge them for it. But if it's a concern, just don't tell your date. That's private info anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 07:49 PM

Women? But your brain is fried too.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 10:44 PM

That's not what a double standard is. A double standard is when one standard is applied to one group but not another.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/25 09:42 PM

They demonstrably are
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/25 07:44 PM

If you're asking because you want to judge their promiscuity then it's fair for them to take offense.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/25 08:51 PM

Either way, the matriarchy is a myth and redpill is arguing for not dismantling the patriarchy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/25 04:34 PM

They don’t want. Because women know what it’s like to be oppressed and aren’t interested in perpetuating it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/25 08:26 AM

Correct. Matriarchy would be as unethical as patriarchy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/25 05:55 AM

This is an argument to take your power away. Rather than stop dismantling patriarchy we should install matriarchy and revoke your ability to choose a partner. Maybe you’d prefer being assigned a woman and she decides if she wants you or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/25 03:12 AM
1

Of course not. No one is below anyone. I'm smarter, more attractive, harder worker, have better values, and have had a greater positive impact on society than most kings.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/25 09:57 PM

I think you may be good at identifying emotional baggage in some women but terrible at identifying it in men or even yourself. Not all emotional baggage looks the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 01:34 AM
-1

Nah, I'll continue to understand the experiences of men and women as different and not necessarily "better" than one over another because that's what any reasonable person looking at the evidence, including the entire scientific community, would conclude and you'll continue to be bitter and resentful of women because of your limited experience, understanding, and worldview.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 05:48 PM
1

But I told you you cherry-picked the data from a much more comprehensive study that summarized a lot more information and doesn’t necessarily conclude what you chose to conclude and your only response is that you didn’t? How do you respond to the scientists who did the study who presumably wouldn’t agree with your conclusion since that wasn’t there’s?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 10:19 PM
0

Did you ask them? Maybe they found it extremely difficult. Maybe they wouldn’t say their time dating was necessarily “easier” than men’s. Maybe you’re drawing pretty insensitive conclusions to their experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 06:40 PM
1

It’s useless to debate you because you’re not capable of rational thought on this topic. All I can do is repeat the truth you’ve heard all your life and one day it’ll sink in. But I read the conclusion and results of your link and it said nothing about your stat bc that’s what cherry picking is. You draw a conclusion completely different from the actual researchers’ because you find justification specifically for what you want to believe. No scientist, even the ones who wrote that study, would m…

Why would you compare ND women to NT women when OP is comparing ND men to women in general? Did I move the goalposts or will you just always find an excuse for your supposed oppression?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 06:08 PM
-2

Is it a fact? Perhaps women have an easier time getting dates, but they also experience more abuse and have higher divorce rates. Maybe your “facts” don’t consider the bigger picture of an entire person’s lived experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 11:18 AM

Science doesn’t offend me. It’s cherry-picking and deliberately misinterpreting science to justify your own prejudices that offends me.

It’s false and a pretty offensive, egotistical assumption.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 09:40 AM

You had me until you said “men”. If you think ND women are finding partners, even easier than ND men, then I don’t think you know many ND women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 04:20 AM

Women aren't the source of men's happiness. If a man can't please himself then a woman can't either.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 01:26 AM
1

If I were being purely analytical, I could make a case for "women do more". But I don't think it's helpful to draw many or any conclusions from it. Different experiences are different. I think your example of women ostensibly having a blindspot for the effort of men could be just as easily applied to you having a blindspot of your own, which you admit.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 06:10 AM

Loneliness deserves sincere sympathy. But when you resort to hating women and promoting their subjugation then you lose it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 04:29 AM
1

Are you trying to crack the case on the differences in sexuality between men and women? Unless you’re getting a PHD in biology or sociology I’m not sure you’ll get far.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/25 10:38 AM
2

People like excitement.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/25 08:34 AM
2

But why can’t you just work on yourself to not be cowed by social pressure like that? It’s wholly different from, say, slavery. It’s not institutionally enforced. It’s not like virgins are denied jobs. The society I engage in and promote doesn’t even really recognize “virginity” as a concept. Any feeing of torment is avoidable on your own.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 11:22 PM
3

What in society is causing OP to feel tormented? Women for not having sex with him? That doesn’t feel like a reasonable answer. Women have to have sex with men so men don’t feel tormented like slaves? Nor does it explain why women and other men don’t feel that torment simply for not getting laid. I think the torment is psychological and societal in that society disdains virginal men and he feels deeply inadequate b/c of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 07:55 PM
2

Well if it’s sociological and psychological then you have power over that and can change it. You’re being tormented by your own mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 06:48 PM

Whats the issue? You’re mad that, in your parlance, they’re trying for a 10 but would settle for a 2?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 09:22 AM
9

Are you sure your torment from sexlessness is necessarily biological and immutable rather than sociological and psychological though?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 09:20 AM

The out-group has to band together for safety and to push against the insuperable oppression of the in-group. It's very normal and reasonable and factionalism is part of the design of U.S. government, especially in the face of majoritarianism.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/25 09:25 PM

It doesn’t exist anywhere. It’s an illusion from teen boy angst and the human brain’s tendency to falsely group things together.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/25 02:07 AM

😩 I'm sad this is even a question. No, I'm not sure it's even possible for women to achieve true equality. The human mind is too flawed.

Anyone can give themselves an orgasm. No one else is “responsible” for that. If someone is willing to help you with that that’s great, but they shouldn’t, necessarily, expect one in return.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 09:26 AM

And what do you think you’re “giving” in a relationship ship? What do you reasonably expect a partner to “give”? If you’re meeting in the middle, they should feel equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 02:59 AM

That’s not the middle ground. Maybe you’re not giving enough.

Do you rank women this way? Aren’t you more interested in her mind and thoughts and opinions? Don’t you want a nice girl? Don’t you care that she’s not as shallow as this? I’m sure you aren’t this shallow.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 02:47 PM

Definitely not. That would be shallow. And I don't have a lot of respect for shallow people.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 08:34 AM

Everyone should only date people they respect. That solves all of these problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 08:29 AM
2

I think believing a girl belongs to anyone other than herself is disgusting and that your sanctimonious, self-righteous attitude masks a deep-seated misogyny and disdain for women and their autonomy. How ironic that you preach "morality" and promote so much hate and bigotry and, yes violent, oppression. You are an immoral, violent, hateful person.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 05:17 AM
2

Pervert is such a telling word. You have such a disgust for sex workers. Your aversion is primal and spiritual and instinctual. And that’s fine for you. You’re entitled to your feelings. But it’s not a motivating or guiding philosophy. It’s purely reactive. People have been disgusted by much in life that is unhelpful and disrespectful to judge. Instead all it does is cause me to judge you for being a hatemonger. For your puritanical oppressive nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 07:29 AM
1

No. All psychologists agree masturbation is healthy and normal and, like all activities that release dopamine, can become addictive. And pornography *can* distort people's expectations in real life, so people should be cautious, but it's a normal activity hundreds of millions of people engage with. Weirdo.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 07:39 PM
1

No I don’t know about r/NoFap. 🙄 I know about psychology and mental health and addiction and psychologists wouldn’t agree with your assessment. Your aversion has little do with science and more to do with personal disgust. You are personally disgusted and repulsed by the idea of it. And that will never persuade others, nor should it. It’s an immature impulse.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 10:32 AM
1

That’s a very rigid and outdated standard for morality that conflicts with a lot of natural human impulses. I’m glad it works for you, but I’d encourage most people to be way more tolerant than you are. You sound like you’re a few months away from inflicting violence on people who don’t agree with your standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/25 08:41 PM
1

Your religion is way too fire and brimstone. Being a good, moral person doesn't require such rigid roles for people who aren't you. Women and men don't care as much about sex as you and that's probably a healthy thing. Your obsession with sex and sexuality and nudity and "perversion" is excessive and unhealthy and definitely not helpful to the sex worker community you claim to care so deeply about. You would be far better suited to temper this rigidity in your expectation for the other 8 billion…

No progressive women wants to ban prostitution. All progressive people, by definition, support sex workers' rights.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 11:38 PM

I'm definitely not. You have an extreme vision of porn consumers, perhaps influenced by your own experience, that's very different from 99% of porn consumers out there. I'm glad you escaped your apparent addiction, but you're blaming casual, responsible consumers for your own extreme, harmful addiction.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 11:18 PM

You don’t think your friends are interested in falling in love some day? Maybe it’s not a priority now. But I don’t imagine you and your friends aren’t interested in marrying someday. At least, that doesn’t seem common to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 04:15 AM

My point is that the media women consume says something about their interests. Women want to fall in love as badly, if not moreso, than men. Redpill doesn’t seem to believe that and think women aren’t interested in meeting men
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 03:59 AM

I don’t believe you. Ask them about the movies they like. The books they read. The music they listen to. Much of it is probably romance. Because romance deeply resonates with a lot of women.

I'm not sure where you live, but do you articulate this opinion with your friends and family? This seems extreme and angry and rigid and judgemental in a way that I imagine many relationships in your life might not endorse. Well you’re perfectly entitled to that viewpoint but I think a lot of Americans disagree with you. And I’d go further to say your viewpoint is unhealthily restrictive and narrow minded. Dude you’re so angry that you can’t see reality. I’m very happily coupled up and chose a gorgeous, amazing person and they equally chose me back. You can have a happy, mutual relationship of love and feel fulfilled by it. The only thing in your way is your mindset.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/25 06:51 AM

Yes. Believe it or not, women want to fall in love as badly if not moreso than men. It’s just politics that get in the way.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 05:21 PM

Not that important. Close relationships of some kind are essential though.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 07:55 AM

No, attraction is not universal. You can literally look through history and see attraction changing with time, to say nothing of location, culture, status, etc. To help address your closed-mindedness-that-shields-you-from-accurately-perceiving-reality, I like to replace your incorrect word with the phrase "unconventionally attractive" because that more accurately describes what's going on here. There are conventionally attractive people, whom we all tend to go for, sure, and everyone is unconven…

Victim blaming is shitty. Extending prison sentences is a messy, unhelpful game. But there definitely needs to be *way* more repercussions for sexual assault than currently exist in all societies. In America a sexual assaulter has a better chance of being elected President than a woman.

The draft is such a poor comparison. No one has been drafted in 50 years and it would almost surely switch to gender neutral if it ever got reimplemented, the same way it is for many countries today. Stop using it as an excuse to treat women poorly.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 05:44 AM

If your “instincts” are unfair to others, and you knowingly choose to act on those instincts, then it’s reasonable for others to not like that about you. And you can claim that you’re allowed to be unfair to others because the world is unfair to you, but that’s unpersuasive to everyone that isn’t you. We’re still gonna not like you doing that, and then we’ll feel justified in the same disregard for fairness for you that you choose to have for others.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 12:57 AM

If a woman marries a lame guy, maybe he can learn to be better. Or maybe she’s kinda lame too, so they deserve each other. But marrying for superficial reasons is not generally a good idea. And most women can distinguish before a fun, fictional 2-hour romantic comedy and a real life partner whom you will spend the rest of your life with.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/25 11:00 PM

Dude you are so angry. How is that helping? Calm down. I'm sorry that some woman hurt you, but none of this is true or real life and you're just spinning yourself into a frenzy

I'm on the AskFeminist sub. Anti-bisexual preference is generally rooted in homophobia. All good feminists would agree with that. Anyone who disagrees is not someone who speaks for feminism. You perception of feminists is skewed to some nasty people.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 03:55 AM
-1

Lol they def aren't. Game is for players only. The good women are attracted to you without all the games and even with your "unconventional" appearance. But they'll be turned off by your worldview b/c it's mean and untrue.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 09:39 PM

What special treatment does a Stacy get? B/c if it's just general equitable, fair treatment, then you should give that to everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 08:44 PM

I don't believe in your religion and think perhaps no one should if it makes them this narrow minded and hateful. I'm sorry that you had an issue with addiction and I'm glad you've found what works for you but stop applying that to everyone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 07:07 PM
1

Sounds like you’re just a religious person who thinks your religion is real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 05:02 PM

I don’t think it’s instinctual, but even if it were, we have a lot of instincts that we control. You proudly choose not to. Why do you choose to hold women to a higher standard of sexual purity than yourself? That seems like an unfairness that’s worth analyzing.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 07:12 AM

That they’re homophobic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 07:04 AM

You already do date the women you're attracted to. As you should. And your preferences will continue to say something about you that others can perceive and judge.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 02:41 AM

OP is saying it. And I'm agreeing with them. It's a reasonable conclusion to draw. Try to think about it more critically. *Why* do you find it gross that women have more sex than you? *Why* might a woman have a preference for a taller man? Whether you want to believe it or not, your preferences say something about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 02:38 AM

It could be rooted in that. Sure. Your preferences say something about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 08:37 PM
1

That’s a simple minded opinion. Sexuality is far broader than your limited perspective. You should try embracing what works for others rather than assume everyone must live and think like you.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 03:20 AM
1

Plenty of men might find that a fair trade, and you should date them. But lots of men would not, and it's not fair to expect them to tolerate that. Healthy relationships can't be formed from extortion.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 01:03 AM
-6

Men are insecure because that is generally the root of the issue regarding women who are more sexually active than them. But if your preference is for a taller woman, that's not necessarily rooted in insecurity. It depends on what your preference is and why you have it. But often our preferences say something about us. A woman who dates only tall men is not insecure, but she is superficial.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 12:52 AM
-6

No. Not all preferences are rooted in insecurities.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 12:24 AM
2

Of course not. This is not a very mutual and equitable relationship. No one, man or woman, should have to accept that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 12:16 AM
3

You don't need to justify your preference. But that you have this preference may reveal your own insecurities and help you to break down your reddish pill into something digestible.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 12:04 AM

I do have a partner IRL. You're just way too rigid about sexuality. There's lots of ways to engage with your sexuality healthily and consensually that are positive for everyone involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/25 08:38 PM

Lol, I mean, opposites attract. Maybe you can help them make better sense of the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/25 08:31 PM

I dunno. Do conservative women complain about liberal men? I suppose they might not be attracted to them. But are liberal men specifically a problem to conservative women? No, I don’t think so.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/25 05:05 AM
1

I mean, there isn’t a systemic issue with liberal men. Men who are liberal can still be awful partners for the same reason anyone could be a bad partner, but they don’t all suffer from toxic masculinity the way conservative men do.

You can talk about it with us, and your friends, and family, and your therapist. This is an issue you need to work out of, not open up about on a date. Except to admit it's a thing you're still working through.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/25 07:03 AM

You think if I were more attractive I wouldn't have been reprimanded? How do you figure that? It was welcome physical touch for the recipient.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 05:07 AM

No because someone else saw it and told my manager. So stop projecting your insecurities on everyone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 04:17 AM

No. I'm attractive and I've been reprimanded for giving a shoulder massage to a female colleague.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/25 09:27 PM
1

According to you? How are you the judge of what women find attractive? I'm persuaded that People Magazine has a relatively thoughtful idea of female attraction, at least so far as they're able to sell millions of magazines over decades.

I'm an engineer and if any men interact with women using RP they'll end up in HR.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 06:36 PM

Because RP doesn't listen to actual data. RP lacks critical reading & thinking skills. They're informed exclusively by emotion but convinced themselves they believe in data by cherrypicking points they think reinforce their emotions.

So the scam is to pick older men for the Sexiest Man Alive covers? How does that work as a scam? I don't get it.

Honesty is more important than attraction. As long as both parties are content with their choices and know full well how the other feels, and they're both happy, then good for them.

That's a fortunate place to be in for yourself and I'm glad that you and your partner are so in-tuned sexually but that's not a realistic expectation for most couples nor is it necessarily even something that's important to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 05:50 AM

What do you masturbate to? Or do you just not masturbate at all when you're in a relationship? That seems very fortunate for you but unrealistic for most relationships. Everyone's sex drive and interests are different.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/25 11:55 PM

They're deliberately lying? Why would they do that? And wouldn't women be able to see through that? Women are the ones buying the magazine.

The men who choose poorly develop serious, sad insecurities like all the red pill here. We care and we’re here trying to warn you to respect yourself more, just like we say to women who choose bad men.

Why are they wrong? You think you have a better eye for what women find attractive than the editors of People Magazine for the past 3 decades?

It's not necessarily the responsibility of a man in a modern society and it feels like an unhealthy burden to place on your partner.

That's your biased idea of feminism. Feminism is just a belief in equality of the sexes. Nothing more or less.

It's bizarre and wrong to me to tie feminism to individualism. Feminism understands systems of oppression, not individual actions. Individualism does seem like a flaw in modern American culture, I agree, but liberalism and feminism seek to address it.

You're saying this from a blue pill lense? It sounds pretty conspiratorial and red pill to me. I think it's possible for an app like this to exist if you imagine most of the people on it are clumped in major cities near each other. I mean, there are a lot of apps that connect local people. This isn't that different. You're just conspiratorial.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 05:16 PM

I agree. I think it's a helpful tool for women who care about that sort of thing and for creating a record/pattern, but, in general, will have very little impact on anyone's dating life.

When women fuck up, it may be just part of being a normal human. But a lot of men have blindspots because of our experience living in a patriarchy. So when we fuck it, it can be due to our ignorance. And when people tell us to stop being ignorant and we don't, then we're amoral.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 04:27 PM

Why do you think, you the little boy born in 1999, is the first generation in all of human history to be born and live in a non patriarchal society? Why do you think you’re so special?

Little boy, go work on yourself and figure out what is wrong with you that you’d turn down the love of a beautiful, wealthy, intelligent, hard-working woman. If you think you’re that picky (you aren’t) then work on being a happier, more mindful person, because this mindset will not serve you well. You can be a happy person and love someone without this silly rigid idea in your head of what that should look like.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 05:13 AM
1

Again, it’s not about whether it’s successful, because it’s people learning to survive in a system that harms them. They don’t necessarily have control. The control is with the misogynists. They made the system. They made the rules. They hurt people, then, when met with pushback, whether constructive or not, hurt people more. Only they can solve this problem. Like, women had to ask men for the right to vote. You could argue women should have asked nicer and maybe they would have gotten it sooner…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 12:19 AM

Anticapitalist media sold for profit on the open market is a media that is surviving in a capitalist society. It's (arguably) the only way for the media to propagate its message in the system in which we are all trapped. Similarly misandry, in so far as it exists, is entirely a result of systemic, pervasive misogyny. The systems are the ones that dictate the rules. In that wider context, marginalized groups are merely attempting to buck the system while working inside it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 10:45 PM
1

Ok, thank you for the clarification. Personally, I don’t believe this premise warrants serious analysis because it’s not a legitimate argument. I don’t consider misandry to be a real or substantive phenomenon. I think when people like me speak in deterministic terms about how awful men are, they’re usually expressing simplistic frustration rather than actual prejudice. I am a man myself after all. I think those who genuinely harbor prejudice against men are few, lack influence, aren’t particular…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 08:58 PM
1

So you’re arguing purely about the word condemn? I suppose it is fair to argue not to cancel or ruin misogynists’ lives depending what they did. But condemn can also mean to simply state what they’re doing is wrong, and that seems accurate to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 07:47 PM
1

And yet you and OP are arguing that misogyny is the coping mechanism for men’s perceived persecution. What role do they and you play in this cycle of abuse?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 07:04 PM
1

And yet you and OP are arguing that misogyny is the coping mechanism for men’s perceived persecution. What role do they and you play in this cycle of abuse?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 07:04 PM
1

I think it does. I think if we think of "misandry" as a frustrated, cathartic response to misogyny then, not only is it not the force propagating it, but arguing against it takes away some form of relief to victims of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 06:28 PM
1

Then maybe that’s the utility. Maybe in the context of a misogynistic world, misandry is both not necessarily bad and has utility.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 05:37 PM
1

What if there is no utility? What if "misandry" is just an expression of anger and frustration? What would be the utility of this post in that case?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 03:34 PM

What if it’s not intended for anything? What if it’s just a release of anger and frustration that serves no purpose?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 08:19 AM
1

Dude he literally says “misandry is bad”. Obviously he means because all prejudice is wrong. Things aren’t “bad” because they “lack utility”.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 07:15 AM

I know. And I think you know too, you’re just confused. OP means for people to stop saying misandrist things by condemning it, or, to put it nicer, by declaring it is necessarily an unequivocally bad thing to say and arguing on behalf of stopping the practice altogether and hoping to persuade others to do the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 06:46 AM

I'm sure OP is arguing for people to stop saying "misandrist" things. What do you think would be an effective way to stop them if not to condemn them?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 06:17 AM

But surely misogyny is bad, and anyone promoting it is condemnable (whether it's helpful or not). Can you not infer that "misandry", if it promotes misogyny, is also condemnable?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 05:52 AM

Isn't that what the OP is arguing for though? Condemning "misandrists" for making more misogynists?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 05:37 AM

Stop defending misogynists. They deserve only condemnation.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 12:42 AM

But even biologists disagree with you. I imagine if you polled most biologists and scientists they'd endorse the idea of trans identity. But I'm sure you dismiss them the way you did NdGT. You don't see yourself falling behind the scientific community? Or you just think you're better than it?

Canis lupus is a scientific definition. Dog is not. Adult female is a scientific definition. Woman is not. It's not "objectively true" that woman = adult female. It's not even, necessarily, collectively true. You just want to believe it is. B/c your own bias is coloring your perception of reality. If you think you're a scientist, then you're a bad one. Maybe a Christian Scientist.

When y'all learn words like gynocentrism and hypergamy and misandry I just wish y'all would touch grass. These terms do not help you understand the world better and only serve to further confuse y'all.

Well no trans folks deny the "truth" of sex. But the collective truth of what defines a man and woman will continue to evolve and you will remain outdated, bigoted, and wrong until you learn to evolve with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 08:45 PM
1

Well objective truth is objective. Collective truth is only true because we all agree it is. Like, you keep misusing the word oxymoron. I can also say that because we all collectively agree on what words mean and their usage. But perhaps in time the way you use the word will become more prevalent and even accepted as accurate and "true".
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 02:04 AM

No, you just don't understand and, frankly, abuse the idea of "truth". For example, money having value is a collective truth. We all agree it to be so. Us communicating with words is only possible because the collective truth of

/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 12:11 AM

Well, Neil deGrasse Tyson says there are 3 kinds of truths, objective, personal, and collective. I think you deny the collective truth of gender as a social construct. But that's fair, it's new and a lot of people struggle with that concept.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 11:23 PM
2

I don't generally think the idea of flipping genders in a hypothetical is constructive. I think women can have a valid reason to get the Ick from places like Hooters and men wouldn't necessarily feel that way about a hypothetical Peck.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 10:44 PM
1

Even the good ones can become abusive. I've never heard this "choose better" argument, but women need to be given all the space in the world in their choice of a partner because it could literally mean life and death.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 10:29 PM
3

TBH I just think being a Republican is not a good look on anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 10:19 PM
1

What do you think "truth" is? Because it IS true that this "misidentification" is natural. And it IS true that living as trans seems to be the best course of action. That is not relative or subjective. It is objective. The only thing that seems subjective is your definition of man and woman, and a lot of other words, frankly.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 10:11 PM
1

Gape is *very* different from gap...
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 09:14 AM
1

No all evidence suggests its almost certainly a born trait for the majority of trans folks. And of course that matters b/c when people are born a certain type of way that you consider a mistake they need to address that mistake. And science, again, with decades of research and study determined the best course of action to address that mistake is to live as the gender they feel they are. So I think it's time for you to update your worldview to something that comports with science. And when you do…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 07:44 AM
1

But if you admit they are born this way then you admit it’s an immutable characteristic? A trait you have from birth.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 06:46 AM
1

Ok so you believe they exist and were born that way you just disagree with the treatment to choose to live as the sex they see themselves as? Should left handed people only use their right hand? Should gay people not have gay relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 03:07 AM
1

It's entirely relevant. You deny that people are born that way. Even the label of "misidentification" you only draw from your personal idea of right and wrong. Nothing about your beliefs follow science dude. You're decidedly anti-science and you should just embrace that about yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 12:22 AM
1

You are labeling all instances of trans identity as "misidentification". That is akin to labeling all schizophrenic folks as "misidentification", despite science telling you there is a significant genetic component.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 12:17 AM
1

Hmm, "mutual fairness"? Transactional is too simplistic. It has to do with our own mindset, what is considered effort to us, what we can give and share with ease, the relationship the person has to us, even our feelings in the moment, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 12:01 AM
1

And again, I have pointed out that science has determined that, regardless how one "identifies", genetics will influence one's experience of schizophrenia. You're trying SO hard to deny science.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 11:57 PM
1

But schizophrenia is generally "true" by your definition. I just looked it up and it's about 70% inherited through genetic "error" as you call it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 11:51 PM
1

I think "transactional" isn't the word I'd use, but I know the RP absolutist mind only thinks in those terms...
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 11:08 PM
1

No. I'll repeat. Regardless of how one identifies themselves, it is a fact that one has right or left-handedness. In the same way, it is a fact that one has cis or transgender identity. That is empirically true.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 10:53 PM
1

That trans identity is not an empirical, observable scientific fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 10:37 PM
1

Drink your own medicine, my guy. Science refutes what you're saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 10:05 PM

The bad ones do. Those are the women you want to avoid.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 09:23 PM

They're lazy and don't care about their appearance so they convince themselves that "trying" means "lying".
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 09:05 PM
1

And the rational, empirical, observable, scientific process has confirmed the existence of left-handedness. And autism. And trans identity. You're the one who is denying science.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 08:35 PM
2

I wouldn't call it "duty sex". But I find I have a lower libido than my partner and I'm happy to be giving in bed.

As babies? By whom? Trans folks are born into all types of families, even strident Christian ones that teach rigid gender norms. The upbringing doesn’t impact that child other than to force repression on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 06:45 AM
2

That feels wild you think stigma could empower free acting people to “go against your purpose in life”. Like people used to be enslaved for much of human history. They used to hold onto their beliefs and values in the most dire and extreme of circumstances. And yet today you think people will undermine everything that matters to them because of “stigma”? I think it’s far more likely that this is a real, deep-seated, immutable trait people have to live with and have found the solution that works …
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 06:01 AM
2

No, the data goes back a hundred years. We can study and understand and diagnose and observe with statistics Trans identity across every demographic of human. And it doesn’t matter when gender identity forms in the child. It is informed, in large part by immutable traits you are born with. We are all either born trans or cisgender. Or something inbetween. That’s what the data bears out.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 05:54 AM
1

That's not accurate. Yes, they choose to live out their lives as trans, that's because a century of psychology and medical practice have worked with trans folks and determined the healthiest course of action for them to take, and most of them are very happy with that decision. But the feeling of transness is innate and born into, in the same way you were born to identify with the gender that you do.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 04:35 AM
2

I mean, personally I think the stigma to adhere to traditional gender roles is greater than the stigma that you're perceiving. But regardless, "stigma" is not the same or as significant and powerful as the actual oppression people were under before. You should be able to conclude people are making choices more freely now than in the past.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 04:02 AM
1

But you aren't reckoning with what this feeling is. The feeling is real and outside of their control. Again, do you consider autism a "feeling" that is not "true"? It exists only in the individual's mind, after all.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 02:39 AM
5

Even so, I think lifestyle choice seems pretty significantly less rigid than any time in history and these are the choices people are making. Even if choice is an illusion the comparative more recent broadness of that choice (freedom you could call it) is undoubtedly real.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 02:19 AM
3

I can't say I agree. I think the stigma is greater on the other end, for women to fall into traditional wife and mother roles. Regardless, why is all this a problem? Why can we not trust women to make decisions for themselves? Even with stigma? Can you not trust your own mind?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 01:48 AM
1

But you don't deny the existence of left-handedness. Make the logical conclusions yourself. Your worldview is not consistent (and bigoted).
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 01:35 AM
1

How does being born as male make *you* feel that you are a man?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 01:10 AM
1

What is left-handedness other than a feeling? But is it not "true"?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 01:08 AM
1

It is too. Not "chemistry" b/c I'm not sure there's a clear enough understanding or language to define it, certainly not for the layman. But there is a, theoretically, measurable distinction in brain structure or connection or hormone that can indicate strong tendency toward trans identity. I'm not educated on it enough myself, but moreso than you it seems.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:38 AM
1

That's right. And the external, empirical, observable, rational, objective truth is that some non-zero number of human brains experience a feeling of what we now call a transgender identity, just like they experience being gay or straight or cisgender or left-handed or autistic or bipolar or dyslexic etc. etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:33 AM
8

Lol, if they can sustain themselves and pay for it then I'm not sure where the issue comes. Regardless, I don't think that's many people. I think most people, like you and me, enjoy being productive and contributing to society and earning a living and even possibly coupling up and having offspring. Like, are you not accounting for *normal* people???
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:30 AM
1

I mean, it's different. It makes them think and feel like the sex they identify as. That's an objective fact. You can measure that feeling across all ethnic groups, cultures, countries, even moments in history. I read a fascinating autobiography from a trans woman in 1900. It might help y'all understand how this works better.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:10 AM
1

How do you know how it is? I think I have a very good understanding of it at this point. I've been familiar with and read up on trans identity for a couple decades now. Plus I'm gay and know a number of trans folks.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:08 AM
-1

Sure, whatever you feel comfortable with. I think your beauty can rise through anything. It just takes effort to see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 12:05 AM
3

But that's not how trans identity is understood anyways. It has to do with literal different brain chemistry independent of one's own personal perception. It's like being left-handed.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 11:58 PM
16

Damn man. Women are making choices for themselves now. You should be celebrating that regardless how you feel about their decisions. I only want to live in a world where everyone can live as their authentic self, you included.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 11:51 PM
2

Nah dude. You can def be a nice guy all the time and still put your foot down. Being tough and honest with someone fucking up IS nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 10:19 PM
1

I dunno. I get accused of blindly supporting women on here and I often find it to just be an attempt to disregard my point or undermine it by suggesting I have ulterior motives. Maybe it doesn't feel authentic b/c y'all fail to imagine men could genuinely feel that way. That said, I know a lot of men and women are very uninformed about these issues and say dumb shit. That's unfortunate, but still not close to as bad as reinforcing systems of deep-seated oppression.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 09:53 PM

Damn man, share your dating profile, maybe we can help you out. I promise it's not things outside of your control. Maybe you just need a makeover

Damn this is too much thinking for RP but 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 09:24 PM

What you’re describing is an insecure man. Your feelings are valid, but it can only be worked through internally bc that’s where the issue is. Women can’t fix your insecurities. Only you can do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 08:58 PM
1

Anyone who is RP has a broken, misguided perception of reality, man or woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 05:14 PM

They don’t want advice from you. We’re all here trying to give you all advice but you’re too stubborn to take it!
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 10:12 AM
1

Little boy. I agree and said so already, that your aversion to dating a trans woman is entirely reasonable and healthy and normal. That is OK. Stop being insecure about your desires bc no reasonable person thinks you should be. But if you insist another man who IS happily dating a transwoman is necessarily gay then I think you are committing a bigoted, prejudicial transgression commonly referred to as “transphobic” behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 10:02 AM
2

I think you’re getting confused by the suffix phobia and assume it can only mean fear, but that’s not how language works and you can look up the definition in a dictionary. Regardless, if you don’t believe a trans woman is a woman then you are prejudiced and denying and erasing the trans experience. Just embrace that it’s transphobic. If that’s how you feel then that’s how you feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 08:12 AM
2

No you aren’t respecting their existence. You aren’t even believing or listening to them when they tell you it’s not a choice. You’re far from tolerant.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 02:59 AM
6

Can we do gays next? Like, where do I fit into this rigid strata? I get along great with women and my brain feels pretty darn male.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 11:44 PM
-1

I mean, sorry dude, you're welcome to your opinion, but it only looks and sounds transphobic to me. I think it's a real shame people think that way. I'm glad you don't hate or fear them though, that's something. Like, you think calling Hunter Shafer a man isn't transphobic?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 11:32 PM
4

I love her! Yes! Great summary. Only thing I'd add is, yes, sexuality is better understood as a spectrum, but, if a man dating a transwoman identifies as straight we should generally accept that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 11:20 PM
0

I don't hate or fear your family either. But it sounds like they may hate and fear trans folks. How do you expect to fight transphobia when you can't even call it out when you see it?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 11:12 PM
-2

It didn't the first time. Why is it important to you to consider a man dating a trans woman as gay? And if so, then why not just embrace being transphobic? Lots of people do.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 10:58 PM
-2

No. You do not tell us how we feel. I tell you and you listen and if you refuse to believe it that's out of your own ignorance. I do not believe men who date trans women are gay. I do believe it is very transphobic to suggest otherwise. Nene is more than welcome to say transphobic things, like many people do. I will not. You do not have to date a transwoman if you don't want to. That's ok.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 09:55 PM
1

That's hot man. Your confidence is oozing. Congrats. Keep that energy about yourself always.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 07:58 PM

What's the downside? I think experience helps you know what you like and also what your partner likes.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 07:44 PM
1

No. Leave people alone. There’s nothing wrong with having a baby at 45. And no, it doesn’t cause autism 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 05:30 PM
1

It sounds like what you're describing is one partner has serious, untreated mental trauma, issues, or even a neurodivergent disability. I don't think I would call it "infantilizing" or necessarily even judge it as negative, but it sounds like they'd both benefit from therapy.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 12:01 AM
1

Andrew Tate is the same height. Women are obviously capable of being very shallow, but pretty much all of human history and science seems to suggest women are less motivated by physical attraction than men. Regardless of "shallowness", many people care politics. I'm as shallow as all men and I would never date a Republican. And given that Republicans restrict women's rights, it seems very reasonable for the larger number of progressive women to brush them off. Surely you've seen plenty of women …
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 11:53 PM
1

It definitely has an impact. Maybe not "signficant" or "struggle" though. I think women are more into Hasan than Andrew Tate, by a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 11:18 PM
1

Yes. Not worth considering as a partner, I mean. Anyone who could fall out of love over weight gain is probably not mature enough for marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 07:11 PM
1

You could imagine and believe and know that there are some number of women who are attracted to progressive men. Many of whom would only ever data a progressive man.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 06:53 PM

Getting ghosted can def hurt. It's the coward's way out. Know that you both dodged a bullet.

Yes but not for all the reasons you note. There’s nothing wrong with it because people are different and it’s possible that they’re the right two people for each other, even at different ages.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 06:52 AM

Regardless, she’s not settling. And she’s happy with her choices. And I think everyone can feel that way in a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 06:44 AM

Physical attraction is only as important as the person feels it is. Melania Tr*mp is very happy to marry someone very ugly. Did she settle?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 02:13 AM
1

Well congrats man. Ask your gf what she thinks. I suspect your progressiveness is something she appreciates about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 11:49 PM
1

Hmm have you tried being stridently pro-choice and putting that in your profile? I think many women would be very pleased to see you outright voice your support for their bodily autonomy. And regardless, I bet you have an easier time on the apps than someone who is anti-choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 11:28 PM
-2

That's not "settling". There are a lot of things more important in a relationship than initial physical attraction, especially to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 11:25 PM
1

Do you think the strength with which you reject this idea will further reinforce your worldview? No. Your worldview is just false. Time to update it, little one.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 11:21 PM

By enough. By enough to make dating harder. By enough that having progressive values and supporting a woman's right to choose could be helpful in the dating pool. By enough that people like Hasan Piker are lusted over, in part, because of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 10:04 PM
2

Yes context is everything. Women, in general, have good reason to be skeptical of men into violence and voicing that to them. In my progressive circles we have a "don't yuck other people's yums" rule to discourage kink shaming like that. But you need to be in an open-minded, progressive environment for that kind of talk. We shouldn't expect the same reaction in conservative spaces.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 09:58 PM
1

I think "striving towards virtue" is what the OP meant by having a good personality. Not what hobbies you have or being charismatic with strangers.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 09:20 PM
2

There are a lot of physically unattractive men with women though. How do you think they did it?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 09:16 PM
1

I know you weren't being sarcastic. Neither was I. I think being open-minded and progressive is enormously more attractive to a lot of women, definitely all the women I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 09:13 PM
1

Personality is part of the basic attractiveness level.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 08:02 PM
3

It's not about "pretending to be someone you're not". It's about evolving, learning, growing, and being a more well-rounded, thoughtful, mindful person. That is changing your personality for the better for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 08:01 PM
2

I'm asocial and I'm not awkward or a loser. No, I think when people say that they're speaking in generalities rather than referring to necessarily every asocial person.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 07:58 PM

The men who do hate their wives for gaining weight aren't even worth acknowledging, they're so unreasonable. Similarly, people commenting that all men hate their wives gaining weight are unreasonable and not worth considering or taking seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 07:27 PM
1

Yikes, wtf, you think that's what progressives guy do to women??? You're so far from any reasonable position.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 06:07 PM
1

OP is about women being into Hassan. Lots of women are, that shouldn't be news or surprising. But yes, many also hate him. I'm not calling women a monolith. But they are more progressive than men. That's statistically true. And a lot do like a progressive guy. Most of the women I know would never date a Republican. And since Republicans want to restrict women's bodily autonomy that makes a lot of sense. I would never date a Republican either.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 06:05 PM
1

Yes. Just b/c women have some men available to them and some men feel they have no women available to them does not make their experiences comparable. Women don't want the men that are available to them. But you seem to suggest you'd take any woman. Which tells me you aren't considering how complex human beings can be, because I bet there are plenty of women you would turn down if the occasion arose.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 05:54 PM
1

Nope. It’s sad you think the only answer to make your life better is sarcasm.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 05:29 PM
1

Because they recognize and support women's bodily autonomy. They're more likely to see women as whole human beings deserving of rights. It's a prerequisite for most of the women I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 03:38 AM
1

I'm not sure that's true. But ask your female friends if they progressive guys more attractive. I bet more often than not the answer is yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 03:17 AM
2

Why do you think it's an assumption? There are plenty of more conventionally attractive streamers who don't get lusted over as much.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 03:14 AM
1

No way, the bar is so low that women will accept a man who merely acknowledges their bodily autonomy. Try being more emphatically feminist in your dating profiles.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 03:12 AM
-2

No no no. Hasan Piker doesn't do "the bare minimum". He does A LOT. Because progressiveness is hot! Red Pill would all get laid tomorrow if they just had better politics.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 12:56 AM
-2

You're content with any woman. Women are only content with the right man. That's not because they have it easier than you. It's because you see women as objects and not as whole human beings.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/25 12:53 AM
15

No. You’re considering ordering coffee as “meeting” someone because you think the barista is cute. Women need to get to know people more and have a conversation with them before they feel a spark.

Thank you. This seems sensible. Some women sound puritanical on here.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 10:27 PM

I think you have a skewed idea of feminism. I’m a feminist and I don’t hate myself. How about you just disregard the opinions of dumb people? Then you should have nothing to worry about.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 10:18 PM
1

I’m not sure that’s all that’s going on, but it’s an issue regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 10:16 PM

But there are plenty of women who want friends. You just need to find the right kinds. Bc the ones that don’t want to be your friends aren’t worth having as friends anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 06:04 PM

No. I don’t get blamed for it. You don’t either, unless you’re the one doing it. Any woman who blames “all men” is as bad as the men that blame all women.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 05:30 PM

Can you be specific? Bc in the case of ogling there’s really not much for women to introspect about.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 08:27 AM

Not all men brazenly ogle women, no, and if you do, that's embarrassing for you b/c we all see it. Men who do it subtly do not necessarily get reactions of disgust from women. If anything it's more an "eyes up here" kind of humorous, moment if they're caught sneaking a glance.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 06:58 AM
2

Hmm I dunno. I think a good number of the women on here may be pretty dumb ngl. I think you're better off giving women in real life the benefit of the doubt that they can be more intelligent and thoughtful about things like sexuality. I bet there's a lot you don't know about women's sexuality too. Maybe you'd react w/ initial disgust if you heard it, or maybe you'd be more mature than the women on a subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 06:43 AM
2

I mean, yeah, you've identified some kinda young, naive women, my guy. But, to be fair, you sound kinda young and naive yourself. Women don't *necessarily* think they're more mature or responsible or stable than men and they understand not all gender gap relationships are predatory. For example, the women *in* the relationship don't feel that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 05:29 AM
2

I think you could push back a little harder at the people suggesting enslavement. But I agree, women should make an effort to foster good healthy relationships amongst their partner and his friends. Any relationship that spends too much time with just each other is codependent and unhealthy. And I think a lot of women are very good about that and love to see their partner "spending time with the boys".
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 04:49 AM

So to prevent their own enslavement women should be less controlling? 🤔

Looking at teen porn isn't *necessarily* male sexuality, and women aren't *necessarily* disgusted by men looking at it (not any more than a man would be. It's not like we're *proud* to like teen porn, right?) But you're definitely right that many people think their experience is the universal one. It's an unfortunate side effect of being narrow-minded. But when people become open-minded they're less disgusted by things they don't understand. So an open-minded woman wouldn't care and might even w…

Lol, what a problem to have. Start at the top. Start with the people you're most excited by and attracted to. Open communication, see if there's a spark, and keep it going. Maybe agree to meet in person. Make an extra effort with women, use their apps, reach out to them directly, b/c they're not gonna be a fire hose, but you know some of them are worth the extra effort.

If you think you aren't a bad guy, then don't sound like one in conversations with people who don't know you. They already know their husbands, so they have more context. All they know about you is that you've said judgemental things about an entire gender to a member of that gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/25 07:09 PM

Yeah that's a bummer. I say, if there's even slight motivation from either side, to just keep pushing it. It's too easy for things to fizzle out these days. But also, I'm gay, so we aren't trapped by gendered roles.

But the blue pill is still real and it is possible to have a happy, healthy, LTR with someone who respects you and you respect too.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 03:05 AM

Where does the supposed deceit come in? Wanting healthy, positive traits in a partner is a normal, reasonable desire we all possess.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 11:22 PM
1

Because you think women are deceitful in that aim
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 09:47 PM
2

sure, so far we agree
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 09:34 PM
2

No I think that's a reasonably fair thing to think.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 07:31 PM
3

Because your perception of reality seems skewed pretty far from what I think is reasonable or accurate, so I'm lead to believe you've come to these extreme conclusions through personal resentment and not from objective observed experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 07:09 PM
3

Damn, it sounds like y'all are bitter, resentful, and cynical. Do you not trust your own mind? Can you not see people for who they are when you interact with them? How are you deceived so easily that you need to assume the worst from the beginning?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 06:49 PM
2

Then it sounds like y'all have a happy, healthy relationship and I'm happy for you two.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 04:21 PM

I expect men to improve. They have so much already.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 07:31 AM

Or maybe the fuckboy will grow into a mature adult by then. 🤞🏻
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 06:57 AM
0

So you protect her in a way that she can't protect you? Do you find this a burden? Do you feel you're owed something for this protection. And if so, what?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 05:41 AM

Yay! Nice! 👍🏻
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 01:40 AM
2

Are you as much hers as she is yours?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 12:39 AM
2

She's a free-thinking independent human. I'm sad that you don't want that for your spouse. Your name is worth less than nothing b/c you demean it with your disdainful attitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 11:16 PM
3

Hey, as long as my dick works I'm doing better than y'all.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 11:13 PM

OP puts all the blame on women.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 08:52 PM

I enjoyed the reboot. I think it corrected a lot of the issues from the original.

The talking can of soup didn't inform your worldview?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 08:49 PM

The idea is that she's a flawed person. Just like redpill people. Watch the movie, you might like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 08:48 PM
3

What if no woman belongs to you? That seems healthier to me. My dad would never describe my mom as "his".
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 08:45 PM
3

Sounds like you may suffer from erectile dysfunction. It's very common and treatable.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 08:38 PM

Red pillers can only date each other. Sanchez and Bezos are perfect. Red pill men need to accept they can only get Lauren Sanchez-types. If a red piller wants to date a woman without obvious plastic surgery he has to take the blue pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 08:19 PM
13

But if you were raised to think women “deserve” love and that they are “a prize” then there’d be no disconnect and no gendered problems. So maybe it’s your upbringing that’s the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 06:38 PM
2

I’m thriving in this world. But I’m in with the Rebel Alliance. It sounds like you’re hanging out with the Empire.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 09:48 PM
10

Bc it’s possible for a man to love a woman who has had sex with other men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 08:10 PM
5

This entire post is projecting. Y’all need an intervention 😔
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 07:42 PM

So you are emotional vulnerable you just don’t respect those men, including yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 04:58 AM

You don't cry? Ever? Not even at a funeral? Sounds pretty unhealthy to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 01:07 AM

Yikes. It's an attractive trait because it suggests good mental health, honesty, and integrity.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 11:58 PM
15

Can confirm. I am a very good friend to women and never got in their pants.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 07:00 PM

Whew OK, stick with those friends then. They should be more helpful in what healthy, well-adjusted women like. You should project confidence from that alone. Intelligent, rational people like you.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 06:41 PM

I think that's the your problem. Your friend-group sucks and it's skewing your vision of what normal, reasonable women like.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 06:27 PM
1

Projecting
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 06:17 PM
3

Correct. I think the lesson you take from this is that gendered stereotypes are OK. But the lesson you *should* take is that the people stereotyping on both sides are in the wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 06:16 PM
5

My partner maybe has like 10% of the traits I had in my mind. They're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I didn't settle, I just cracked the code.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 06:13 PM
1

Good for you then! Hopefully that'll happen to more 4B'ers
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 01:32 AM
1

Duh. That's the nature of a transactional relationship. They'd divorce if he got poor or she got ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 10:51 PM
2

B/c I don't think it's real life. I think people say things they don't necessarily mean. I think you're a nicer person than you act like here.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 10:49 PM
2

You're right. You're not jaded at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 10:31 PM
1

It's not the same because there are no correlation maps for the degeneracy hypothesis. It's a pretty widely disregarded idea at this point. You're a victim of your own selective bias. Science works very hard to root that out.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 10:15 PM
2

I think, just like you're deeply cynical and jaded, women who speak like that are the same way. But everyone is capable of being brought out of that funk.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 10:07 PM
2

Yes! Sex doesn't *have* to mean a lot to everyone. Every person you meet can be a blank slate.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 09:57 PM
0

Yes! It *can* get amazing and beautiful and life-affirming! But it's hard and takes work.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 09:53 PM
1

I'm sorry it feels painful. But it's a beautiful feeling to have.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 09:52 PM
0

I think 4B would welcome healthy, well-adjusted progressive men and MGTOW would welcome conservative/"nonpartisan" women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 09:50 PM
1

Yeah, see? This is what I figured. You apply rigid standards only for things you don't want to believe. Like all red pillers. You abuse data science to reinforce your own views.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 09:46 PM
1

Seems pretty difficult to prove or disprove don't you think?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 09:24 PM
1

Do you think you apply this standard equally? Do you reject the degeneracy hypothesis? I doubt there is any correlation map for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 09:04 PM
1

Because this is a simple social media forum where random people share ideas about things. If you only accept ideas that come with extensive proof, you won't learn much. But I suspect you probably accept a lot of ideas without a correlation map, and that you're actually pretty selective about what you apply these rigid definitions to, whether you realize it or not. So you're just biasing what you choose to believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 08:58 PM
1

You aren't applying logic. You're applying illogical, impractical, rigid standards to block information that you don't want to believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 08:48 PM
1

Friend, I appreciate your mathematical mind. You seem very informed. But no, that doesn't apply here and your math professor would agree. Try to lower your rigid boundaries for data input because they are not serving your best interests and they're blocking you from gathering a more accurate, realistic, rational, and practical data set.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 08:44 PM
1

No. That's only reasonable in the context of a scientific research paper. In this context, it serves mostly to detract and obstruct the healthy exchange of ideas. Specifically it serves to help *you* reject the idea wholesale, so you don't have to engage in it more earnestly and you can continue believing what you want to believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 08:27 PM
-3

That's hot TBH. Redpillers are missing out.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 08:03 PM
2

Your point is the unreasonable one. Very unreasonable. So unreasonable that it seems like you're just trying to discount the post rather than engage it honestly.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 07:56 PM

Agreed. This entire sub would be needless if redpills would just stop supporting Tr*mpism.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 07:43 PM
6

They're perfectly reasonable assertions based in presented logic and history that surpasses any logic behind the 'degeneracy' hypothesis. So no, that's enough of a claim for any reasonable reader on here. They don't need a hysteresis loop to suggest that a common, bogus myth is bogus.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 07:22 PM
1

They're two of the richest, most powerful, and famous people on Earth. I think they're very happy with their choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 07:11 PM
6

No. You're asking them to prove a negative. It's the people who claim societal collapse on degeneracy who should provide proof. But people have been making that claim for literally thousands of years (Emperor Nero, Sodom and Gomorrah) and I'm not sure there's ever actually been evidence for it. It's usually more an excuse humans make up centuries later and put in their history books to get others to fall in line.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 07:06 PM
-5

Tr*mp and Melania don't seem too miserable.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:59 PM
5

This post is too sensible for this sub
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 05:33 PM
10

Lol. I’m very glad you’re single then. We should all only do what makes us happy. Maybe someday that’ll mean a new partner who understands your needs and you can communicate with better, but it never has to be. And that’s a healthy, positive thing for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 05:30 PM
7

I dunno. How old are you? I feel like people may just be waiting until they're older to settle down. I know for myself and a few others, I wasn't ready until my late 30s. Now we're in long-term, happy, stable relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 04:55 PM
1

I'm all for this.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 01:31 AM

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 If you can't love yourself how in the hell are you gonna love anyone else?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:54 AM
0

That's a shame. I think if they feel the same to you and not to her then it's possibly something that could be addressed so that they feel the same to both of you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/25 09:20 PM
2

What if they feel like similar core values to you but to her they feel too different to reconcile?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/25 07:23 PM
1

I don't think focusing on power dynamics is healthy. But you're right that "not trying" is often an attractive quality in a man. I think if you're happy in your friendships and single life and appreciate a woman but don't necessarily feel desperate to get that one specifically, then you'll have a healthy mindset and project attractiveness to everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/25 05:49 PM
1

Is it? I think chasing pleasures can be a very good and healthy thing. If it fosters misogyny, I think it's only for people for whom they were already likely to be that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/25 05:14 PM
1

It's not stupid. That's hot. You're super aroused with your LTR partner. And you're smart enough to address it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/25 01:52 AM
6

Hmm I'm obsessed with video games and I don't hate women. I don't think giving in to pleasures necessarily fosters misogyny.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/25 01:39 AM
1

Yeah I figured you were a deplorable racist from the beginning and gave you the benefit of the doubt. See how that works? You have the capacity to be good, you just choose to be a bad person. And you’re not worth dating by anyone because of it. Regardless how unhappily married your parents still are.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/25 12:47 AM
1

No you're a bad person because you openly, proudly practice bigotry and hide behind "heuristics" to do so. Obama is from a "broken home". Would you turn him down? Or is he OK b/c he's "one of the good ones"?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/25 12:20 AM
2

Get offline man. Your brain is fried.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 11:03 PM
1

Right. That's grotesque. My partner is from a broken home. He's the best thing that has ever happened to me. You're literally a bad person.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 10:57 PM
3

Entitlement
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 10:53 PM
1

Well, if I were a woman, the potential danger with dating a sex criminal is extremely high (though millions of women still do it. It's not uncommon at all). So, for personal safety, it seems reasonable. But giving the person you're on a date with the benefit of the doubt regarding say, their long-term interests or materialism, is far less dangerous. Unless you think a broken heart is equivalent to suffering physical violence?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 10:41 PM
2

⬆️ 👏🏻
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 10:17 PM
1

Oof. People should always behave the way an emotionally healthy person would. If that's a heuristic then that's good. I'd prefer the person just *be* emotionally healthy though, lol. Regardless, they don't need to apply it to others. Applying heuristics to other individual people seems emotionally unhealthy to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 10:09 PM

I mean, this seems very reasonable and believable to me. I'm not sure it's helpful to follow these patterns though. Whether it's stereotypes about men or about women, and whether it's true or not, I'm not sure it benefits redpillers to apply it to their personal lives at all. Hypergamous is a silly,
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 10:00 PM
0

But if a man who encounters a siren could turn redpill that’s a problem with the man. Sirens have been around for thousands of years as you said. Plus, what if redpillers interpret a woman’s behavior as a siren when she has valid reasons to dislike him, bc he’s redpill or redpill adjacent?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 09:31 PM
1

/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 09:31 PM

men also have significanlty more desire for sex But what if *that's* not true. What if women actually have exactly as much sex drive as men and it's just repression and social conditioning that makes the drives *appear* different? I'm not sure we can say for certain, scientifically. It sounds like your personal, individual experience was quite repressed and I'm sorry for it. I don't think anyone is benefited by repression.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 08:54 PM
-2

You escaped having a terrible, unhealthy, inaccurate mindset. That's the lesson to share that helped you. Not to blame and avoid certain women as sirens. Men who encounter "sirens" shouldn't turn redpill regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 08:44 PM
1

If you use a heuristic to inform your dating life you are actively harming your dating life. Period.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 08:39 PM
1

Yes I think this is a good lesson for both sides. People who blame systemic issues for problems in their personal relationships are probably not ready for a partner anyways. But, regarding your EDIT, I think Emily's just speaking candidly and not necessarily holding grudges like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 08:38 PM
1

Accuracy doesn't mean it's actually helpful or beneficial to use them when dating. I think it's actively harmful.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 08:22 PM
-2

No. It doesn't matter how women treated these men. If they end up as red pills, it's because they're the bad guys. I'm sorry for your awful experiences, but it sounds like you didn't let that turn you bitter and bigoted. I think that's the key to your success.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 08:12 PM
2

I have terrible eating habits and play video games a ton. But I'm not bitter and don't hate women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 07:49 PM
2

I don't think that's men's truest desires. The manosphere is just the worst impulses of men heightened enormously by an echo chamber. I think when men touch grass they begin to see women as actual human beings and don't necessarily hold deeply misogynistic views.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 07:21 PM
1

I think if a woman has to do more than the man to attract him then he's not an attractive man.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 07:13 PM
1

I'm almost 40. I can see the "types" that people see. I just don't think it's helpful to act on them. Give every person you meet the benefit of not making assumptions about them and they will always surprise you.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 07:00 PM
2

I don’t think it has any benefit. Not even in the slightest.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 05:21 AM
2

"Head in the sand"? I'm happily in a relationship and most of the people in my life are as well. I think ignoring patterns can get your head *out* of the sand and experiencing a happy, healthy real world that doesn't necessarily always fit into patterns as frequently as people want to believe anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 03:33 AM
1

I don't think it's helpful or useful to act on whatever patterns you think you see.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 02:26 AM
4

*sigh* I mean, I just don't even understand this impulse all y'all have to define whole peoples so narrowly. These are, like, boring, sad stereotypes of people. It's not how I think I act ever. Personally I'm more attracted to people who don't fit into stereotypes like this anyways. My brother just started dating a 36 yo woman, God forbid. Maybe if we all stop believing these stereotypes are necessarily real life we'd all be happier and have healthier relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 02:06 AM
1

No silly little boy the FBI doesn't get involved in every single nude photo leak ever.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 10:33 PM
2

Ugh. Can't we just agree to none of the above? Porn is fantasy y'all. 😩
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 10:29 PM
1

Ok you're not living in reality. The world shut down when they leaked. Apple changed it's policies because of it. The FBI got involved. Stop having blind opinions are start paying attention to the world around you.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 09:46 PM
1

So nobody cared when Jennifer Lawrence's nudes leaked? 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 08:16 PM
6

So is your suggestion for the woman to dump the man rather than try to work with him to improve things? She's unhappy. That's the reason for the 'emotional labor'.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 07:59 PM
3

I think there was less communication before, but that was bad and unhealthy. People would just cheat. People wouldn't communicate their needs with their partners. It's unfortunate that, from your post, something as important as monogamy wasn't clear between two people after four months of dating. That's a mistake in communication and expectations for sure, but that doesn't mean communication is a bad thing. I think relationships today are far healthier, when they last, than relationships 50 year…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 07:42 PM
1

Then explain Playboy's success for decades. It was enormously successful and popular and shaped public discourse and culture and still does today.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 07:39 PM
1

What point do you think you’re making? That men aren’t attracted to famous women anymore bc Playboy didn’t survive the Internet? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 05:46 PM
2

I feel like y’all are too online. This question should be too obvious to ask. Yes of course, the celebrity status matters. A huge amount. Playboy’s entire business model was about getting famous women to pose nude.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/25 06:03 AM
5

It sure seems true. I wouldn't think to deny it. But I'm not sure that's *necessarily* what scientists have concluded. I'm not sure libido is even an accepted scientific term. I think there's a lot we still don't understand about sex drives and what motivates them.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 10:40 PM
3

I think women who expect that do bring something else to the table. Either, they're willing to cook, or they put *a lot* of effort into their appearance. Or she'll put out. Or something of comparable value. And if the guy doesn't feel like she's pulling her weight, he can dump her.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 10:29 PM
1

I’m taken. But when I was single I was never hit on by strangers, but usually a few people in my friend groups were into me. But I don’t date friends. 🤷🏼‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 04:19 AM
8

That’s awful and I’m sorry. But thank you for sharing. We don’t hear enough about these experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 03:46 AM
1

I’m a man and I don’t repressed by society except when my homosexuality is discovered.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/25 11:46 PM
1

Does that mean Tr*mp is a 10? Bc in my book he’s a 0.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/25 10:52 PM
1

Every 40 yo has 20 years of experience on a 20 yo though. No I think you all are flat wrong. Attraction is way more complex and varied than y’all allow for.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/25 08:41 PM
1

And I’m explaining to you why your statement is wrong. You want to believe the offenders are equal on both side but the real-world has been telling you something very different for a very long time. Listen to the world around you instead of what you want to believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/25 05:36 PM
1

Women are victims of violence. Significantly so. That is not news to you. Don't act confused. I'm trying to help you understand the dynamics that cause men and women to treat each other differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/25 05:27 AM
1

Women don’t have the freedom and opportunity to give in to their baser instinct, the way men sometimes do. They have to be more thoughtful, mindful, conscientious, aware of their surroundings. Treating another human like an object is a privilege and a luxury that minorities can’t as often afford.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/25 02:51 AM
1

Women don't have nearly as much latitude to let their lizard brain take hold. When they do, they suffer possible violence. When men do, they suffer possibly being single.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 09:31 PM
3

But that's good that she "has less power over men" b/c that "power" was superficial anyways. Why would you jump through hoops for something shallow and temporary?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 06:50 PM
1

I think being sexist is a turnoff to most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 06:19 PM
1

Then nobody's red pill b/c I don't believe being a sexist pig helps any man get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 04:18 PM
1

It's a trend that's been around for, like, 2 million years so it's kind of hard to deny what's in front of your face. But you do. Not to say men are flawed. Just the ones who let their lizard brain dictate their feelings on women.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 04:14 PM
0

But that's not how life works. You don't choose who you fall in love with. She could have kids. She could have one leg. She could be bipolar. Our partners never check all the boxes in our heads of an 'ideal' mate. And good they don't, b/c learning to love someone different is mind-expanding.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 04:10 PM
5

Men talk about it a lot more than women. Women don't talk about their breast size as much as men talk about their penis size, IMO.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 04:03 PM
8

Ugh. Women are whole human beings. They’re beautiful at any age and you could fall in love with one at any age. The ‘cynical’ woman has lived experiences you can learn and value and commiserate with. You don’t need a naive, brain-hasn’t-fully-developed-yet 20 yo to be happy. You need someone you can see as your equal and sees you the same way.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 01:40 PM
1

If you only believe facts that make men and women sound the same to you bc that’s what you want to believe then you’re biasing your facts.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 01:31 PM

That’s not reality. You’re just pessimistic. Lots of steps dads love their kids.

First we went to couples therapy. That didn’t help much. Then I went to therapy alone. I had a breakthrough of sorts. And now we’re practically married.
