Yeah this happens all the time. You know how feminists are always complaining about how beauty is depicted in media. Well it doesn't just hurt them. This is how men are adversely affected by it -- misplaced attraction and a lack of understanding of our own desires and preferences because we are being told what we are supposed to think is attractive. Sexual attraction predates media.

Well okay but maybe you weren't super attracted to her physically. You said she was gorgeous but you haven't mentioned anything about her being sexy. Which is telling. Maybe you didn't have that type of i-want-to-tear-your-clothes-off chemistry. Beauty and sexiness are different things... It's nice if you get both but you can't have just beauty... sexiness is non-optional - and also much more subjective. Instead of beating up on yourself, has it occurred to you that maybe everything went complet…

Why do you need to combat it? Just let it run its course. Do you think you are going into a serious depressive episode? If so get help from a shrink... otherwise just wait a few days until your mood lifts. I am not sure I understand what the problem is.

There's nice guys and then there's Nice Guys. Some guys are just genuinely decent, good people, that's just their personality. The whole "all men are dogs inside" thing is bullshit. Some are, some aren't. Men have all different personalities, just like women. That said, Nice Guys try to emulate actual nice guys because they want things from women and they don't see women as people. So they do it to manipulate. It's actually really sexist in that sense. Nice Guys don't get their ideas from femini…

For fuck's sake get married. Am 45, body is shit, women my age have major issues, women in their 20s and early 30's want someone closer in age. Also in a lot of careers your 40s and 50s can get dodgy if there's ageism. Pretty much everyone and everything turns against you as you get older... find someone, buy a house, build some walls and a moat and get ready for the winter of your old age to start.

Yeah I mean like I said I'm pretty new to the sub...

Don't approach anyone who is actually studying. Maybe people on this sub would disagree with me but her success on tomorrow's exam should not take a back seat to your sexual interest. Approach her if she is chilling by the water fountain or talking with a friend or is on her phone or on Facebook or whatever. Women are people too and sometimes they need to study.

Would it not make sense to just disappear for a bit and see if she messages you?

So I'm new to this sub and I'm kind of confused. Do you normally have trouble talking to women or something? So it's exciting because you talked to her and she responded positively?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
