"It wasn't until his early to mid-forties that he really began the work that would materially change the lives of 260,000 men. But his true impact was by extension, in the effects he had on the family lives of those men, and in particular how the children of those men would experience their fathers - all by the date of his 50th birthday."

As someone who knows a lot about designing things, and things like what is described above in particular, I would contribute some time to the project. So, is the problem just, "reddit without censorship," or something more?

Not giving a fuck anymore means I'm less predictable, and that changes trust levels with everyone. I can do a lot of things really well, except making inferior men with power feel comfortable. We always both know, and its hard to reconcile. I don't know how I am going to keep a corporate job anymore, other than becoming a complete predator. A married female friend I've known since we were kids is both unnerved and getting sloppier and sloppier when she drinks, and as soon as the booze comes out …

There is a straw man and a bias inherent in the "returning" argument, where we will be trying to fit the result into our present, post hoc interpretation of what was really an effect of the circumstances that originally made it worthwhile. There are tools from the past we can use today, but the thing we make with them will not be an artifact of that past. e.g. we can build trebuchet with stuff in our garages, but the relative efficacy and relevance of trebuchets today means that they are not a m…

The bit in the video that got me about this statement was JBP's clear outline of that dynamic. Anytime someone says rights, using his description, you can reasonably ask, "given your rights become my responsibilities what, exactly, are you saying my responsibilities are?" If I have a responsibility, it necessarily means I also have authority to carry it out. If I do not have authority to carry it out, then it isn't my fucking problem. Even if I do have the authority to carry it out, to provide "…

Love farmers walks, use them as an accessory on leg and chest day, and lighter version cooldown on deadlift days. Don't take my fatass advice, but if you are wondering what people do, I do 3x 200ft at ~%40 DL 1RM. So if your 1RM DL is 405, then an 80lb hex dumbell in each hand. I use it for extra time under tension, so going lighter is less important than doing at least the 3x. Pair of 65lbs should start you out.

Someone will do to TRP what happened to punk with the Offspring, or what happened to Metallica. When you are the tip of the spear, nobody's ever going to ask you to run the territory you've taken, and your own people will take it from you. The worst outcome to me would be some great minds around here being reduced to, "yeah man but i invented that." The guys who blazed the trails and then end up lost and powerless when the world catches up with them because they forgot that blazing trails is the…

How To Fail: Step 1. Listen to people who tell you that you are going to fail. GOTO 1. Men's book club is easy to start. Pick a book, tell guys to read it if they want to show up at the meeting, have one guy present on it, then drinks and go around the table about it. Men do not need permission, only subjects and slaves need permission.

Was going to emphasize this. Middle class plugged in shit is the problem. When you fail at saving and managing a small income, it's because you mustn't have been a good enough slave. The only rich people are people who own productive assets that give them passive income. Rich is not a number, it's HOW YOU MAKE THAT NUMBER. You are either a pimp, or you are a ho. You can be a fancy ho, with a high dollar rate, but you aren't a pimp. Even a small time pimp who makes his money renting out ho's is r…

Read "literary fiction," which is the stuff that actually expands your ability to understand other peoples experiences, and to anticipate how they will act based on what motivates them. When you have a literary understanding of people, you can fill in blanks about them, understand the necessary conditions for their drives, answer the question of if this person were a character in a story, what kind of story is it, what brought them to this point, and how will they make choices that further the n…

When you look at what Peterson does, and you look at this post as a criticism, this would need to be a lot smarter to be persuasive. The thing about idols is they are figuratively hollow representations of ideals, which people get upset about when they realize they are literally hollow representations of ideals. You choose how you relate to that representation. Do you use it like a magic voodoo talisman to wave around like a dead chicken, or does it form a narrative way point for a more sophisti…

I'd argue all power is secret. Rituals in masonry are just the thing to do in a consistent way, and they encode the moral allegories in symbols. Most people's understanding of ritual is superstitious and stops at some kind of magic. When you look at Jordan Peterson's discussion of the bible as a way to represent key philosophical concepts, you can get a sense of what a ritual is for. It provides continuity and consistency. Weird? Sure, but table manners are weird and serve the same basic functio…

There aren't a lot of middle class masculine men because to have those jobs you need to be overtly blue pill or ambiguously gay. A few cities have what are essentially meet ups for men's fitness, but they aren't very public, but there are a lot of clubs of all sorts that don't own facilities. Rent a private gym space for a couple of hours that it's empty. 6:30am on a sunday or somewhere that needs the money and traffic. No politics, no dogwhistles, no speakers, no pamphlets. Torture-murder didn't, and doesn't scale. Reason groups use it is because they don't have the resources to kill en masse in an economical way, so they make gruesome examples instead. We've largely solved that problem today. The church was brutal, but it has nothing on popular movements. These days, you can wipe out a culture in a generation just with pain killers. If you truly identify as someone who is a victim of an illuminati, there is nothing anyone else can do for you, as they will never be…

In the "courage, strength, honor, mastery" model Jack Donovan uses, you need a shared activity to demonstrate these virtues. I think that activity needs to be physical. Some guy writing something isn't my friend. A guy who has made personal sacrifies to want and achieve the same things I do, there's potential.

I doubt you are a conservative, but rather someone with anti-politics. Most SJW's are too loopy to get accepted into a lodge.

Kind of goes further back than that. It's 300 years since founding of the grand lodge of england, but that was just a consolidation of masonry into a standard entity. Confraternaties, essentially guilds, formed a social fabric outside of court for centuries. In governing trades, they codified skills and levels of mastery so that people claiming skills could be paid for them accordingly, with some reasonable expectation they had them. Guild membership required both proof of membership, and proof …

Best not to talk politics at work, Dalmore and his colleagues would have been cut out by the political forces anyway, he just went down trying to reason with them. Some guys will have read the OP and thought, "heh, at least I don't have a mobility scooter." Reason why Rogan wouldn't have Rollo on has nothing to do with Rollo, but the whole ick factor around MRAs that we get tarred with by association. What constitutes the necessary and the sufficient evidence of a criminal act in a sexual assault case? I don't have a legal background, but just using logic: If she were treated for an injury that would be evidence of an injury. There's evidence of a sexual encounter, which would be intimate physical details (like birthmarks, moles, dick shape/size etc.) Electronic communications before and after. Good post acknowledging how fucked guys are when they first show up. You can't un-know TRP once you've understood it. Abundance is a big part of moving from 7-8. If what the OP is saying is that narcissism is the pathology that creates the conditions necessary for a personal transformation into something greater via ideas like TRP, I would agree. It creates the necessity that is the mother of reinvention. It's like the cluster of people in high office or outlier success who lost a parent or had …

Amber Herd is the perfect example of the black widow archetype. Not only does she have the past for it (according to tabloid press), but her big breakthrough role was going to be in a movie called Niccola Six, in which she plays a chameleon of male fantasies who is a living embodiment of Death. They say she essentially played the character as herself. Musk is probably doing fine, but between the rockets, tunneling through the earth, the self driving sports cars, and Amber Heard, the man has a th…

"Only," no, but reliably the case. I have sound reasoning and argumentation, I do not have double blind reproducible studies because psychology doesn't produce them. You can sealion and ad hominim all you like, but your arguments above reduce to post hoc justifications for moralizing over a fabricated outgroup of pseudo-medicalized hate figures. So to start, "narcissist" is a basically a pseudo-medical euphemism and we should really just say what we mean, which is "bitch." The drive for external approval would certainly cause people with that drive to occur in clusters of "historical figures," e.g. people who accomplished things others are still talking about, because that's what they do. We can moralize on a tautological selection bias, or we can see it for what it is. To use the term narcissist is to moralize the tendency into an iden…

TRP actually fixes a lot of narcissistic tendencies in guys instead of encourages it. Barring for a moment that narcissist and sociopath are words thrown around for anyone a high-agreeableness+high-neuroticism person doesn't like. A male narcissist is fundamentally a bitch who needs that bottomless approval of others. You think my or someone else on the internets examples of success and how to live are going to turn you around? It's also likely you've chosen to idealize versions of success that are excuses to fail. e.g. "Well, winning the Fields medal is reserved for the greatest minds the species produces, so it's ok I didn't make it, but let's have a pity party for how we didn't." Such an important post. The idea that most of the popular discourse around suicide is about making people around them feel less responsible for it is like a punch in the face. I hope you get to talk about that in mainstream interviews. It's one thing when you are suffering and thinking about ending the pain, and that's fairly common. I was in the suicide "project" stage, before an old friend red pilled me. I call it the project stage because it's, as Rollo says, practically cheerful and upbeat, …

Hypergamy makes women naturally liberal toward immigration and social "dilution," because it enlarges their option pools. The result is a weakening of borders, both physical and social, with the inevitable result that the institutions and territories become indefensible and are ultimately over run, first by women, then by the invaders they invite. Typically, these invaders aren't run by women, and the reason we don't see much evidence of societies run by women is that they tend to be destroyed o…

The whole notion that a woman can be perfect or ideal just outsources and exernalizes your obligation to bring the awesome to everything you do. What can you expect of a woman? You might be able to expect her to not burn your house down, steal your shit, or sabotage your reputation and relationships. Maybe. It depends on whether she thinks she gets away with it or not. When you own your shit, none of that matters. It's not the tat, it's pulling off the tat that makes it cool. The tattoos thing is worth getting into more. Chicks fuck guys with tats. Chicks get tatted to fuck guys with tats. Maybe TRP has become so mainstream some guys here want to kick the ladder away behind them, but even if the OP has some technically correct statements, it doesn't help anyone. One hope I have for these scandals is that everyone gets victim fatigue and starts looking at these things like adults. The Abuser/Victim framing of all these things is set up so that shitty behavior by one person justifies shitty behavior by another. There are no constructive outs. The worst thing an ex (on both sides) can do is cause you to question your instincts. tl;dr Dave's Law: bitches gonna bitch. If you identify as ugly, you are ugly. Even if you are good looking and hate yourself, you are now trans-ugly, or ugly on the inside. Character actors are by most standards, "ugly," but they do fine because they own it and succeed. If you are convinced you aren't physically attractive, it's self fulfilling. Google "character actor list," and see a bunch of guys who are objectively homely who make it work though pure force of will.

Saying men can be victims of sexual harassment by strange women accepts them as equals, which last time I checked is still ridiculous. Men and women are only equals in situations that so contrived and artificial that they do not reflect anything in nature, and that take wasteful levels of resources to maintain. In any situation where men and women are considered equal you have to ask, so who's paying for it?

Yeah, dogs are reflections of their owners. You can avoid a lot of shit by recognizing that for what it is. Nothing says crazy bitch like a small dog, and a guy whose dog doesn't respect him is a guy who can't respect himself. Women shouldn't have dogs anyway. It's almost always a bad sign, they are child substitutes. When guys here talk about "alpha," animals defer to the most stable dominant frame in a situation, human or otherwise. Guys often try to develop dominance before they figure out st…

It's strange how logically, the outs in the TRP endgame seem to preclude long term monogamy for men, and avoid being a womans polyandery/polyamorous orbiter, leaving the known options of: mgtow/incel, player, secular polygamist, and swinger. The archetype most TRP guys are going for is a player who manages to become rich and powerful enough to be in effect, a polygamist. e.g. multiple women monogamously committed to him. Second to that is having a primary woman while maintaining the open and oft…

Most animals have a pheromone or other identifier that prevents them from inbreeding with their siblings and children. People have it as well. It's intuition, but I would be willing to bet $100 that greater than %50 of cases of incest and molestation would co-occur with a negative paternity or sibling test result. Been reading TRP for a couple of years now and this notion of "cheat," seems like an inconsistency. To say a woman has "cheated," presumes there are rules, and not only is it is reasonable to expect a woman to act according to them, but she will even do so when she thinks she has a better option to choose from. The whole notion of cheating is an artifact of an underlying false assumption about the conditions described above. There is one rule, and that is all relationships, like all things, are …

Pure speculation on my part, but if any generosity on his part did not yield an iron clad settlement that could withstand a California divorce court, it would be giving her enough to become dependent on his support, while burning through it, with enough for her to afford the lawyers to get more. TRP has been excellent, but sheer growth makes the stand out pieces more rare, albeit better than a larger pool. It is not a system, it's a collection of ideas that form some outlines of a very high level map. As we start to succeed, we encounter fewer guys who need or want help. Luck is just when preparation meets opportunity, so we can do our best to be prepared to help with that change if the opportunity arrives. Negotiation is something men do with each other. Women don't negotiate, they play the numbers game and move on/punish at the first sign of resistance. The best tasting burgers in B were the ones that made you sick after. The burgers in D are the subset of B's that were first off the plate before being returned. The ones in C were made of the highest quality ingredients, but lacked presentation. The consequences though are: B -> A (go hungry) A -> C (starve until you don't care about how ugly the burger is) D -> Sick So options as presented are starvation, sickness, or shit food. This is a great post, but I think it's a false tri-lemma. Optimal…

Knowledge is meaningless without action. Any mind can think pretty thoughts. It is the life lived with that knowledge that makes it tangible. Reading a book about math and reasoning through the proof of a theorem are both intellectual activities, but one gives you information, where the other transforms your understanding of the world. The difference is that of the map to the territory. Without physical work measured in time and effort, there is nothing. You may know a map exists, possibly where…

I'm talking about relative skew and kurtosis in distributions of talent between men and women. For intellectual and professional equals, I have colleagues and friends. I have some friends who are women, but my expectations for what those relationships will bear are different. It's just not reasonable to expect everything from everyone equally. My experience (and the essential TRP view) has been that guys who think relationships are a negotiation are usually the only ones negotiating. Most guys h…

Yes, but symphony attendance is dismal and diminishing, arguably because the musicians are good, but not great. Most music is about the quality of soul of the person performing it. The distribution of talent among women in classical music is also just as polarized. Some of the ones who are considered good do not hold a candle to their equivalent male peers, but the ones who are excellent are legend. With practice, most women can play instruments, fewer can be transcendent and great.

5 years ago there was an issue in the profession with a significant portion of women finishing law school, then not practicing, or doing articling, passing the bar, then not practicing. The result was that law schools were desperately trying to raise admissions, even though the number of actual jobs on the other side wasn't officially there to meet the supply of grads. There is something people overlook when they read the memo. What he talks about is averages, and the skew in those averages between men and women. The Google and SJW position is that the distribution of talent in the sample sets across all women and all men in engineering must have the same kurtosis and skew, for men and for women. The guy's point is that this is extremely improbable given that if there are ANY differences between men and women (the two sample set groups), making policy based on…

Chicks like guys who are high/drunk/stoned because the increased serotonin reads like high testosterone, and the dopamine burst reads like power and success. Too much and it's off, but your "good mood," is evolutionarily a sign of power.

trp.red has a bitcoin-based wallet. I can't speak for anyone else but legit question: If someone were to donate money to help TRP, where would it go? Realistically, this has been going without money for years. Charities aren't really about helping men anyway. They were set up as benevolent societies for "widows and orphans," and people who couldn't help themselves, the opposite of most guys here. Maybe buy a bunch of GLO's shirts? What would I do with charitable money? Start a men's barbell club…

its satisfying to read comments from guys who don't get what is needed to work an animal. It's not about women, it's about frame. OP suggests its about the dogs temperment, which I get, but it's not. Frame overcomes all of it. It has nothing to do with tricks, tactics, collar gadgets, treats or punishment. You have to be fucking better, always. Want to learn frame? Go to a shutzhund class. Shrieking, "i am teh alpha!" at a dog is as stupid as it sounds. With animals, saying anything at all means…

Sound attitude. If you aren't getting fired occasionally, you aren't pushing boundaries. Work is based on need, and they will put up with the most ridiculous shit in the world if they need you, and chuck you the moment they don't. Sometimes they just need someone to be a cocksucker or to take the fall for their shitty calls, but it's still based on need. Best position to be in, whatever it means you, is the one where you can say, "fuck you." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=013rp5Z-5x0

what do men get out of marriage again? It's like giving away a free option on your assets with the hope that your wife will stay because she can't find a better offer. Marriage is just paying for sex, but usually without the sex. What is anger? A response to fear. Fear of what? Loss of power. Power over what? Nothing, you never had it. That was the lie. The things you thought made you good, which you worked so hard to achieve, were designed to sort you into a bucket of plan-b's and suckers. What kills fear? Knowledge. What kills anger? Understanding. Where do knowledge and understanding come from? Work. Work on what? It starts with your body (lift), then your mind (read), and then your soul (mastery over something). Then…

It's true. we could draw on other areas that focus on acting in the moment. It's not "re-acting," which essentially means reflecting what they have done with some amplification. It is more like an obvious consequence that they could see coming. dog mounts your leg, you tackle it. if it even looks at you sideways once after, you must respond. don't react, respond. a lot of what we call alpha is about expectations. we expect acceptance or deference. but the next level is about how you handle your …

I have taken on my share of bosses. There are a lot of corporate paths, it just depends on what you want to do. Here are some tools: You can always appeal to principle. In fact, if you are not acting on principle, you are in a very weak position. You can always outwork someone more experienced, knowledgeable, or "smarter." Depersonalize first. Jesus, Socrates, Aristotle, etc. All suffered retribution. Point is, retribution is nothing. We are only men, with trivially short lives (the only species that doesn't outlive its garbage), and what happens to one of us rarely affects the lives of others. Humility is a supreme virtue, but it too is a skill that requires cultivation. Ego is a blunt instrument, but so is shame.

Small percentages of large numbers are still big numbers. That's a commission, a sales margin, a management fee. It often means kids have to sell properties to pay the taxes on them. If there is land in your family that has appreciated in value for just being in a now fashionable place, you need to come up with that money. Depends on how you approach it. The terms I relate to people on don't change based on the person I"m with. Given my alternatives, I can''t find time for a girl (or anyone) I have any doubt about her level of respect and appreciation for me. If she is a drama case or a liability to my friends or business, finding time in the day is pretty hard. If she can't accept how I relate to the world, she is free to do anything she wants. What most people think of as "love," is a mix of oneitis, need, and attachment. Co-dependency in modern psychoanalytic terms. Shaming someone is like beating a dog. It's using their fear and your limited power to inflict suffering to get what you want. If anyone ever tries to shame you, treat it as an attempt on your life. Women skew against engineers because you have to know a lot about it to know where someone sits in the hierarchy, which is the only thing on a limbic level that women care about. Strange thing about women is that when you finally "get it," some of them love it because you are in effect a unicorn to them. Most of them freak out because when you do "get it," they have zero power or control and that screws them pretty bad. I can see now how for a long time men didn't think women had souls. Men are capable of a spiritual life that is barely comprehensible even to most men, and it is as alien to women as say, giving birth would be for a man. It's fine, just very different. Th…

If you were the alpha in that stage of the relationship, you wouldn't have got into the position of not having power. Adopting this logic would relieve some suffering from the things people get up tight about. Most of unhappiness does arguably come from attachments to things and relationships, and so it seems sensible to learn to let those things go instead of suffering for them. Interesting thing about bikes, they get your adrenaline up, but also get cortisol up as well. Only legit reasons to be afraid of dogs are if you are either non-white or a crappy person. Few cultures traditionally live with animals that serve them willingly and most people grow up where dogs are wild predators and/or food. Glad you got over it, because at least now you are a better person. ALso, had to highlight: Maybe you come off as potential rapist material. "Hey girl, do you like my sweater? It's rapist material."
/r/TheRedPill17/01/17 12:37 AM

colors showing. ;) Men are a lot like dogs, and if you have ever trained dogs (or men) you would know this. Women don't need conquering. That's mistaking the spoils for the prize. Men need to conquer ourselves. You can train women like dogs, just as you can train men like dogs, it's just a question of the quality of the training.

Power. Depends on what her life experience is for what that might mean. However, the ability to walk away from anything if it does not meet your terms is the ultimate power, and it applies in pretty much every situation. Is it apparent that you can walk away from a job, an acquaintance, the fanciest party in the world, a pretty girl, fame, possessions, lifestyle, her society, etc.? Is it also clear you wouldn't do it for her, but you would do it for you if you had to? Having fuck you money lets …

People are like dogs, chimps, or other animals. The way we relate is fundamentally as animals not as political parties, so yeah, when women behave predictably, it isn't much more complicated than training a dog. Main difference is that a dog actually loves you, even if it's just a dog.

Having known a few older women as friends, plates, ltrs, etc. Women usually date younger men because they like the sense of control. Often they are victims in some other aspect of their lives. Younger guys for them provide an emotional crutch that lets them do what they want with the belief that the younger guy isn't sophisticated enough to understand them. There is a kind of ethical calculus at work where if they are "good" in one part of their life, they can justify being shitty in another. Yo…

I actually hate these "forgive your ex" posts. Forgiveness is an effect of the end game, not an objective. It's like saying, "be rich" or "be famous." Both are very achievable, but rarely directly. Saying "work at it," is like saying "try harder," which would also be shitty advice. Everyone knows that to try means to not-actually-do, so telling people to do that more sounds pretty bad. A man who is raised by his mother to believe that to be a good man is to be the beta provider she wish she had after she drove his father away, and that to be a bad man is to be like that same father who wouldn't put up with her shit anymore - AND THEN has that beta ideal reinforced 24/7 by every image, song, book and person in his life, yeah, I could see how he might internalize it. Is TRP mommy issues? Ironically, it is sort of the inverse in that …

I remember the anger, but mostly I only remember it now. This post would have been crushing a year ago. It hits the mark. Does anyone ever actually regret ghosting an ex? I did it out of instinct, and posts like this remind me instincts are there for a reason. The anger comes from finding out I believed a lie. Whose lie was it? It may have started as someone elses, but I made it my own.

So, serious question. What if your investment goal was polarized between managing extreme positive and negative outcomes? Like many guys here, I fall into the HENRY category (High Earner, Not Rich Yet) and I am all for a high risk, high optionality plan. Amber Heard was in a movie with him called Niccola Six. It didn't get distribution because of a dispute with the director and someone else involved. She was the star, it was her really big role that he must have arranged. It tanked. She blames him, takes revenge by going after his latest one.

You've changed. That's what happens when you choose to live better. It changes the way you relate to people, and they might not want to continue on those terms. Great trilogy. Those actresses in their prime were something to see. In the same genre, I recommend both Double Vie de Veronique, and Girl on a Bridge. Not sure how relevant they are to TRP, as they sort of reinforce a kind of magical romanticism about women as these conflicted angelic creatures who would become actualized if only for the right man. It's shit. In my young beta years, Keislowski's movies were how I imagined many women were, that he had captured something essential. All the men in…

WASP culture has its roots in the english education system, which taught greek and roman philosophy in addition to judeo/christian theology. The values espoused by those philosophers were the foundation for legal systems and for what we know now as western culture. Men are pack animals, and they need leadership. When a man lacks that leadership that defines his place in the pack, he seeks it out. In modern society, he seeks it from his wife. I meet guys all the time who are proud to behave as pets to their wives. Literally, saying their wives tell them when they get "treats." Finance is about confidence, and confidence comes from presenting a stable story. Money managers hate scandal because their clients take it as a sign of poor judgment, and the clients drawdown their funds. A lot of that confidence comes from fitting in, which means being where your clients and their friends are. You need to demonstrate not that you have made your clients money in the past, but you are in a stable position to continue to make them money. This is "logic of political survival" 101.…

It's difficult to discuss 'ism's in a moderate context. I see a nihilist as someone whose mode of reasoning tends toward non-belief, instead of a militant anti-belief. To say someone is a nihilist is usually an epithet for someone who doesn't believe the same things as you do. If a woman cheats on her husband, what does she lose? Social network and approval? No. Her kids? No. Her assets? No. Her home? No. Her job? No. Her future income? No. The only reason a married woman wouldn't grab any dick she can still catch is because that dick isn't as alpha as the one she's already caught. There is no other incentive. There is no basis on which a man should trust a woman for anything. Hence Briffault's law, and the rational response: abundance mentality. Marriage is dead.

Interesting, but the precedents go pretty far back. I read something recently (can't source for some reason) about spousal support obligations in ancient rome and greece. Much of it was about returning the dowry, which, oddly, seemed to indebt the man to the brides family. If he wanted to divorce, he needed to return the dowry, if he could not return the dowry, then he could not have a divorce. Exceptions to this were if she had committed adultery, in which case he was only required to return ha…

Been there. When you re-think of depression as what it truly is - a craving for intensity, and nothing seems worth it because it doesn't give you as much return as thinking horrible things about yourself, you can recognize it and do something about it. The things you do for intensity right now might beat the crap out of you, but they don't get you in your core, because they aren't burning the neurotic energy off. When something like a breakup occurs, you think you can't do anything because nothi…

What I like about this story is you gave the guy cereal. The principle is not that he doesn't eat because he stole, it's that when he does, it comes from you. People mistake getting what they want with the fact they got it from the magnanimity of someone else. I deal with this in meetings all the time, where guys blurt shit out and cherry pick easy answers to feel smart. Criminal prosecution is "free" as well. There is no statute of limitations on criminal offenses there either. Cue the public education campaign for women to look back on their sexual histories and be encouraged via an ad campaign to get "justice," in 3...2... Male birth control sounds great, but it will only be used by middle class white guys. It's also likely that a guy who doesn't take it will be held liable for endangering women with exposure to pregnancy risk. Who knows, maybe the rest of society will become subject to the same restrictions as porn performers, with a "sex license," which they have to get validated as being tested every few weeks. Part of that license will state whether the guy is using contraceptives or not. Could see this happen…

It would be useful for guys to develop some compassion for other guys in the anger phase. Remember how they got there. There's a variable in there that's missing: race. Everyone has preferences, and they have a huge impact on the numbers. When people come up with solutions to any problem, it tends to be a proxy for the real question, "how do I use this to get more power?" Most people's solutions to everything are to give in to their stupid demands, which is hardly ever a solution. Any solution by a government is guaranteed to be, "give more powers (or money) to the government." When you realize they do one thing: value destruction, the pieces begin to fall into place.

Nicole did nothing unexpected. Wrong? Meh. You can't really hold women to a masculine standard of good and evil. Malice implies that there is some kind of meta- or self awareness, and that the behavior is somehow out of character. Couldn't even listen to the crying. Those tears were the sparkling shards of a boys shattered illusions. I hope we get to see him here.

Upvote for Antifragile. Antifragile is like a modern philosophical foundation. If you are already a high IQ polymath, it will be a game changer, or articulate what you already understood. I would say it's like GEB for post-millennials. If you aren't someone who trades on being a brainiac (e.g. non-quant, sales guy, regular engineer), a good intellectual goal is to be able to read and understand Taleb's books. They are accessible, but also deal with sophisticated topics that give you some sense o…

Penguin version isn't like that. Sure that older ones are though. Stupid translators, since it would have originally been written in Greek (Latin?), the translator would have worked from that, and then translated it to the language of the day. Surely someone has done one since Shakespeare.

Jamaica is feminism's endgame. I almost wrote a post on this, but maybe it should come from someone who lives there. Want to know what white middle class american life will look like in 2026? Hint: Look at what black underclass life is now. Women run the families, men with any alpha tendencies in and out of prison and disqualified from mainstream institutions, no male role models, boys raised mainly to be narcissistic enablement for their mothers, 80/20 on who is having all the sex, top men accu…

The TRP version of this post is: "MGTOWs don't command respect." The whole notion of "deserve," is a bluepill frame. It presupposes a hypothetical situation in which you have something that you in fact do not, or that the reason you have something is because by having it, it was granted by divine justice. In case the red pill is caught in your gag reflex: You deserve nothing. The world owes you nothing. Women owe you nothing. There is only what you win, take, allow, and accept. Someone who deser…

Strippers are useful for understanding women the way that playing poker is useful for understanding other men. The game is never not on, ever. Want to know what makes strippers and hookers different from other women? Nothing. As the saying goes, you don't pay them for sex, you pay them to leave. The entertainment sex workers provide is the illusion of safety, perceived freedom from entanglement, and mutual acceptance. Hard to defend if people don't get it. It's the fucking nativity story from the perspective of Joseph. When viewed through TRP, he is a cuck, allegedly by some story about god, an "angel" named Gabe, and a virgin birth because everyone knows if her husband didn't knock her up, it must have been a miracle. I've presented a more likely story.

Yes. The real father was alpha and Joe was BB, and everyone is cool with it because when the mother got knocked up by the alpha and found a BB to raise it, it was considered *hint* an act of god. And this is the founding myth of the biggest religion on the planet.

Fair points. I'd argue blonde chicks are avoiding the thirst, not the men, given non-thirsty ones do extra well most places I've been. It's about perceptions of power. If nerdy asian guys are going to put white chicks on a pedastal, the reason women aren't interested is not because they are asian, it's because they are self-identifying as less powerful. A lot of reaction in this comment thread. This is what TRP is asking people to accept. She isn't trash, or bad or anything like that. She just happens to be able to explain how she, like most attractive women, deals with the world. This is what you can expect. This is the bar. There is a type of man she wouldn't handle this way, but that kind of man isn't monogamous at all.

Funny responses in this thread. If you think you are "peers" in a relationship with a woman who isn't an exception in the original post, you are her orbiter. If you are the alpha in that relationship, she is your orbiter. When she introduces you to other women, she introduces you as her orbiter. Do you really think she will ever introduce you to someone hotter and better than she is? Women are fun but relationships with them provide comfort not success.

Recommend googling "opportunity cost," before making comments about needing to just have sex with women. They can be entertaining, but your time spent with them is not time invested. It is at the very best, gambled. The point is that if you aren't having sex with a woman, either you are her orbiter, or she is your orbiter. Neither is valuable. One of you is there for the others' amusement.

Funny, I was always against polyamory, even though it seems like the extension of what I was talking about. The problem I have with polyamory is that most examples I have seen were negotiated explicitly, often with really beta guys. From my perspective, it's no promises, no deals. There is no conditional, no meta-level, no contract, and no obligation. I don't negotiate the right to sleep with other women, because I don't believe there are such things as rights. Maybe the poly folk have something…

Stability is your mental rest state. Go on a week long camping trip by yourself, or even just go traveling by yourself for a few weeks and there is a zone you find once your body and mind adapt to the solitude. This is the reset: Adapting your mind to solitude. You can do it with a silent retreat, or if you have a hobby that puts you in the zone, it's that place you are in after lifting, or doing the thing you are good at. These are frame re-establishment activities. In TRP terms, Stability woul…

Social science provides frameworks for making inferences, not physical evidence. Most statistical studies use cherry picked data and what amount to quantitative metaphors to make political statements and put the onus on detractors to assemble "better" data before being allowed to argue about whatever outrageous claim the authors made. Science is a great process and framework, but it does not have a monopoly on either truth or usefulness. Ask any mathematician what he thinks of scientists and the…

Monk mode is getting out of someone else's frame by getting away from people, and getting back into your own. Easy exercise is to figure out whose voice it is in your head telling you that you are a loser, and then recognize it's someone else's frame. Also, lift, read sidebar, eat right etc. You need to build some part of yourself from scratch and see the results as your own. If you already lift, do MMA, xfit, learn a skill etc.

Anywhere you might wear a regular suit, a blazer is always appropriate. By all means, go get a 3-piece and wear it with french cuffs, quirky cufflinks (you know, to show the real you), a pocket square, brown shoes and tie a double windsor with a tie bar. You might even want to throw in a pocket watch and a walking stick, just in case you hadn't worn everything else at once. I have no doubt complete strangers will comment how you look "so, classy."

I am actually an expert on this topic. The best thing you can do in terms of value for money is to get a perfect navy blazer made to measure from a good hong kong or indian bespoke tailor. Made to measure is cheaper than full bespoke with many of the benefits. It would be interesting to reconcile the idea that "if you have to think about it, it isn't real" with the idea that when someone challenges your frame with a shit test, you consciously recognize it for what it is and respond to it accordingly. Read Jack Donovan's "The Way of Men." According to him, men value courage, strength, honor, and mastery. One way to interpret this is: What do you bring to your tribe? Are you among the best in your peer group at what you do, or are you incompetent? Are you successful or get a lot of recognition for what you do? If a guy had to pick someone from your peer group to back him in a fight, are you on the short list? Do you stand by principles? Can others rely on your judgement? (precision, accuracy)

What bothers me about this article is that when women make choices that cause them to become unfeminine, it's hard to blame a pre-TRP guy who isn't up to the challenge of making them feel feminine again, especially after his security is threatened by the she-beast. Feeling guilt does not make you a better person. Action, improvement, doing things for worthy people does. What's worse, is guilt is taxing. It takes your successes and lops off most of the momentum from your achievement, to pay down a guilt debt. Recognize guilt when you feel it and reject it as a substitute emotion. Are you going to do something about it? No? Then it never mattered. Yes? Well it's simple then, isn't it.

6 months of lifting and xfit, dietary changes, and reduced stress from using TRP cognitive tools for dealing with the anger all imply lower cortisol and higher testosterone, which are hormonal changes that would affect your brain chemistry. TRP has some similarities to Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which shows some clinical results in the psychology world. Interestingly, stoicism is referenced in the article as a founding concept. CBT may be why TRP works.

Compliments are sneaky shit tests. Accept them or escalate. (e.g. Han Solo, "I know.") Otherwise, just give a quick, "thank you," and change the subject. They are usually rewarded when you to sign the contract, not when you finish it. WWI was just such an alpha extinction event for "the greatest generation," just as the OP suggests. WWII, to a lesser extent, but it broke a lot of men, who came home and drank themselves to death, though not before squidging out the feckless baby boomers. Arguably, the Pill had the same effect, where fewer alphas actually bred, women selected for "sensitive" providers, and resultant divorces in the 70s and 80s left young straight men without a map, the result being who we know today as the punk…

Singapore was, and is, the definition of a police state. Leaders are compelling, undoubtedly, but a cowed populace makes for a dishonorable people. Silvio Berlusconi was compelling as well, as was Il Duce. Totalitarianism rewards the weakest and worst in a people. He brought stability and a modern quality of life to an isolated/island state, but the same could be said for the House of Saud, Pinochet, Saddam Hussein, and to a lesser extent, Fidel Castro. They need compromised, compliant peons to …

Not a lot of motorcycles, sailboats, gliders, horses, or mountain bikes parked outside of therapists offices. Just saying. I think it is good advice to tell guys to reach out. Just use judgement about whether to vent to a shrink that you are angry or thinking dangerous thoughts, their duty is to society first. If you are really losing your shit, talk to a priest or a rabbi. Not some jerk-off pastor or yogi, who needs converts and followers, but a guy who has truly dedicated his life to introspec…

Read Influence by Cialdini, it's the classic work on the subject. The first google hit is a Summary of it. No matter what you think you know, if you haven't read Getting to Yes you are still in the matrix. Your relationship to a woman is not an agreement or a deal, it is your experience of the effects and results of how you relate to each other. Persuasion and negotiation are tools that enable you to set and maintain the terms of how you relate to people. Stupid people say, "I don't negotiate," …

Who can argue with a guy who has made billions of dollars? One at least. Jeffery Pfeffer, in "Power: Why some people have it and others don't," who basically wrote that you shouldn't listen to successful people tell their own stories, because they are mainly trying to justify their success. Most of what they write is an auto-hagiography that sweeps all the guile, politicking, back stabbing, betrayal, and "strategy" (read: trickery) they really used to get to the top under the carpet. Other civilizations were building pyramids and carving cities out of mountains while nordics were living in huts. We were late to the game. We've played well, but for an extra couple of thousand years our societal needs favoured general tribal warriorlike skills instead of civic engagement and trade. It's barely even racist.

So totally racist analysis here, but whatever: Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans) have had an advanced, organized civilization for like 4000+ years. So have the Egyptians, and Indians. Northern europeans were practically swinging from trees until about 2000 years ago. The race/masculinity thing is interesting, since civilization "civilizes" men. If you are from northern stock, you are only a few dozen generations from a relatively primitive nomadic society. If you are from an older civilization,…

Fair assessment, but it misses the optionality on the business side, and the asymmetry of the risk on the employee side. Far be it from me to discourage people from saving and being disciplined, my point is that identifying your success with your salary is wrong for some very specific reasons, and given the option, few regret taking leadership. To borrow from Nassim Taleb, when you are an employee, your exposure to random upside-risk is limited, and your exposure to downside-risk is much higher.…

Depends on the business. If you are a lawyer or a doctor, it helps. If you are in sales, yes you have a lot of upside. But if you work for a fortune 500, are a management consultant, in government, or an entrepreneur, you have to offset your looks with extra game. Otherwise you come off as too pretty to be taken seriously, a lightweight, or a con artist. Business means having people trust you, and an imbalance in your personal attributes throws that off.

If a man and a woman are in a private room together and of equivalent SMVs, they will have sex. The only reason not to is that their SMVs aren't matched. They decided whether they would within a few seconds of meeting each other, offset it with rationalizations about whether they should, and the only thing keeping them from it is whether they could without triggering the perceived consequences of if they did.

| A man and a woman aren't going to fuck just because they're in a room together. How many rooms with women have you been in? Ever notice how it's hard to find a private place to have sex in public? There's a reason for that. If there is a means, motive, and opportunity, it's going to happen.

It's not trivial at all, it's about power. If you aren't willing to share it or be neutral about it, then that sets the order in the relationship. People who say they "don't negotiate," are actually saying they have a limited toolkit for solving problems. It also means that they don't realize that they have lost a lot of opportunities as a result of preemptively shutting doors. If someone is inflexible, it's because they are bullying you and you lose nothing by dropping them. It's the #1 sign of…

Right, so you get your two lawyers to sit down and hammer out an agreement and present you with the results. Expensive, but not compared to divorce - more fun than a $40k doily infested pissup. It would be like using lawyers for an arranged marriage instead of the families. Based in traditions with precedent, just with different actors. Realistically, with same sex marriage, it just means the whole thing is up for renegotiation and we should come up with something more viable.

I sympathize, but this mixes psychology with philosophy. Being machiavellian means reading political theory and understanding how power works. Being a narcissist or psychopath is a medicalized personality disorder. One is stupid, and the other is just an asshole. The latter is just what losers call the person they lost to. Middle class people never learn this stuff unless they go to ivy league schools. Poor people learn it on the street.
