| 7 | Took a woman out for supper for the first time since the split and I'm all messed up.You’re not sad for her … you’re sad for you, and that’s ok - you were hopeful for a connection with her (not just sex) and learned that wasn’t really possible and are disappointed. That’s my read. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/10/24 09:09 PM |
| 2 | Son, 5 yo Not doing well with divorceThe decision has nothing to do w making his ex suffer - it’s about making the kid NOT suffer. Secure attachment to each parent is crucial for the child’s future emotional and relational well being and should be the goal and motivation for how to proceed. Good luck managing your hurt Mr Comfortable, I hope it gets better. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/10/24 05:11 PM |
| 2 | Son, 5 yo Not doing well with divorceYour love and dedication to your son is clear. You have been places in an awful situation. | 1 | Post separation solo vacation recommendationsTypically I would build it around the custody schedule. I have taken many vacations with my son in the last year, often exceeding my alotted time with him but that his mother is supportive of (usually to take him to visit out of town relatives). For going on my own I will book something when I know he will be with his mom. Good luck to you! | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/09/24 05:44 PM |

| 1 | 35yr old thinking about testing the waters.Elaborate on the “don’t respond to messages quickly” if you (or others can)? Seeing the impact of this in my own experience and analyzing around this point lately. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/08/24 04:13 PM |
