“Wouldn’t men get companionship and emotional support in return in a platonic relationship?” That’s ALL they would get… and only if the woman is in a giving mood. In exchange, they get used for same. Men would still do Cost/Benefits Analysis and prioritize relationships. Plus, plenty of people think men and women can’t be in platonic relationships for long because one or the other will “catch feels” and want more.

Arranged marriages. Instead of relying on “tingles”, interested parties try to set up a couple based on what others see in their personalities. The couple should still get to consent to the union, of course. Bulletproof, Iron Clad Prenups. Repeal “No Fault” divorce. Require a compelling reason the couple should part ways, or mutual consent. Alternately, eliminate alimony and split child support and custody 50/50 except in cases of abuse of the child(ren) by a parent or through the parent’s compl…

These days, with TV shows , everybody thinks a problem can be solved in thirty minutes with a lot of laughs along the way, or in an hour with tears and a surprise twist as to who was really at fault (guilty). As someone else said, nobody has the intestinal fortitude to work on a problem.

So young (22, unless she’s lying, as her pic suggests), to be so condescending and offensive in the very first line! When a girl/woman is a single mother, men are not “intimidated”, they do the math. The g/w claims her kid(s) will always come first, but she really means “after me, that is.” After all, the old expression is “women and children first” but “women” comes first! So, the woman is #1, the child(red) next, and Mr. Right Now, or Mr. Beta Bux, if you prefer, (that would supposedly be me),…

“Very good analogy…” I agree. I used to work in the military and as a QAE (Quality Assurance Evaluator) for contract personnel in my shop. The explanation is EXACTLY how it works.

“Not interested in sexting… FWB… Want a man who… wants a relationship.” Can SHE give HIM what HE wants in a relationship, or is this only about her? (Asking for a friend, I’m not interested, personally. She has a tattoo. … What? I’m not allowed to have preferences?)

She better watch where she posts that stuff, or she might find her stable “good enough for now” husband mentally checking out of the relationship and hanging in just long enough to see the final young one out of the home. And then he’ll bolt.

I assumed, back in the days before I got married, and I learned it didn’t matter, that the female orgasm was to make the woman want to have sex with the same guy a second time. Before I got married, I wondered who I was going to not have sex with that night. After I married, I knew exactly who I would not be having sex with that night.

Hate to say it, and this comment alone would get me banned from any woman-oriented sub, but isn’t the fact she had like three orgasms in five years HER fault? I mean, I am responsible for every orgasm I have ever had. I have had very few instances when I wanted one but was incapable of achieving one. The rest were all voluntarily achieved. For me, it requires physically stimulating certain body parts, with or without physical attraction or an emotional connection, although both help, of course. …

“Gas lighting…” I wonder if because women keep telling guys that they (the guys) like younger women, that maybe the guys with little-to-no hands-on experience (I.e., “involuntary celebrates and virgins) believe they should want younger women as well. The women might be driving potential Beta Male mates it if the pool because they’re allegedly in the wrong pool. Just pondering.

Pro: financially stable. Con: thinks a man wants to hear that before he considers mixing his finances with hers. Pro: want marriage, i.e., to be a wife and have a husband. Con: won’t be a housewife. Imagine a Muslim applying to be a bartender, but refusing, on religious grounds, to serve alcohol.

Stay celebrate for as long as you can if you start a new relationship. What you give away freely or for little investment will be lightly valued. If you give it away to just anybody, then how will the guy you’re with know you won’t be giving the pool boy or cab driver a turn tomorrow? On the other hand, if you make the next Mr. Right wait for a ring before he gets any action, but he knows the last guy was getting some action after the second date, the new guy is likely to figure you’re stringing…

Christian men don’t want to date women — even Christian woken — who have “been around the block B a few times.” Christian men want virgins who have no tattoos and are not 3rd Wave — or even 2nd Wave — Feminists. (The Second Wave Feminists were the ones pushing for sexual liberation and birth control and easier access to abortion. Third Wave Feminists are misandrist narcissists.)

Why pay for a theater seat — or TWO — as part of a “dinner and a movie” date when you can order a pizza, pop open some beers or Coca Colas and turn on Netflix or Hulu?! Or even Pay-Per-View. So much less expensive and less likely to fail to score, since one could cuddle during the movie without all the “public indecency” ramifications one would have in a movie house. Nobody complains about the cost of pizza!

A different school girl, already 15 at the time, texted that she wanted me to get her a “turkey sub with silt” [sic]. Her mother was constantly misspeaking. A Karen through and through, she demanded to speak with a minion’s manager because she was, and I quote, “fed up with your incontinence.” The girl’s father and her mother’s husband was, I kid you not, a grade school teacher who didn’t know what “voice” is in relation to English grammar, and thought I was wrong when I corrected his incorrect …

Doesn’t have a second language, barely has a first language. I once met a 13-year old girl who couldn’t conjugate verbs. “I seen…”, and so on. Her handwriting was also far below grade level. Met her two years later and she hadn’t improved. He FB posts were very telling. She was still not conjugating correctly, her spelling was terrible, her sentence structure made comprehension difficult, and paragraphs? What are they? But she’s pretty, so she’ll get plenty of attention from the boys.

For therapy to work best, one has to want to change. She doesn’t see any need to change. She thinks _she_dodged the bullet. After all, before his FU, he was a strong candidate for someone she might catch feels for. He changed her mind. She’s not even that disappointed, probably.

A happy person doesn’t treat other people cruelly. Therefore, the lady is not happy. If she doesn’t change, she never will be. She lacks empathy. She was incapable of feeling how he describes feeling. I am no doctor of mental health, but I think this person may be a narcissist. Maybe sociopathic or psychopathic. Happily, statistically speaking, , I will never meet her. Unhappily, she is not unique.

By “joined,” I mean started receiving their posts on my page. And, yes, it’s worse. I mean, who would want to date a woman who, behind their back, calls them a “scrote” or does in fact believe they are a potential rapist?! Does that seem like a very effecting dating strategy for a female to adopt if she is in fact interested in dating, whether or not she thinks that there’s any chance of finding a good man?

In a job interview, if the interviewer asks, “what’s your biggest bad habit?”, I have been told to give a positive in a “negative” light. “I have trouble leaving a job that isn’t complete. My father once told me ‘a job half-done is still undone.’ That was when I quoted the old, ‘a job well begun is half done.’” My point, then, would be, if you have an insecurity, couch it in a positive light. But with this girl, it wouldn’t have helped. “I am concerned I wasn’t attentive enough to keep my ex-,” …

I wonder how she ended the date. Did she overreact on stage or cover her disappointment and suddenly not feel well and only vent it as disgust when she posted on FDS? His actions after she decided the date was over seem to indicate he thought ending the date was just no big deal and he still had a shot. It was her blocking him for checking up on her - without any other context - that he would be taking away from the date.

It’s a piss poor “dating strategy” to not date! I mean, one would avoid all the pitfalls of dating, but it would prohibit one from realizing ANY of the benefits of dating, even if the particular pairing in question is unsuccessful.

What if… Men did this on purpose, as a shit test of their own. The man would invent (or cull from experience) a difficulty just to see if his date is willing to stand by him. IMO, if the story is real, the guy dodged a bullet. Who needs a wife bolting after 2 years over a minor insecurity like the one above?!

My wife has to be the exception that proves the rule. She NEVER leaves the house unless she’s with me, so I know she’s not bidding anybody. But I would agree that your rule of thumb makes sense for most other situations.

There are two ways out of the FZ for a man: She initiates a stronger relationship. He stops being her friend. If he — HE — decides to stay in the FZ, he will be free to seek out a potential partner elsewhere and the friend is “just one of the guys” without the benefits of being the guy’s “bro,” as a guy would be.

She was an RN from a large metropolitan city in the northern US. We were both over 30 when we met. We’ve been married for 30 years. It’s been a Dead Bedroom situation for the last 25 of those years. The first five went fro my getting more sex than I had ever thought possible down to “sometimes” then “rarely” and finally “maybe one day.” That all being so, I don’t know if we can say “it worked out okay” for me or not.

Casual dating for that long may be right for That Girl — as in the sitcom from to 70’s — but not IRL. In the real world, if I were in a relationship for more than 6-8 months and it wasn’t time to talk about a serious commitment, then it’s already clear there isn’t going to be one.

Yes. My devoutly religious Catholic mother told me I was not going to be allowed to date until I turned 18. That meant there would be no reason to get a girlfriend, and that meant no reason to get a job. I only got a driver’s license when I was 18 as well. All this stunted my development and I was 29 before I lost my virginity. I’m a man, by the way. I have boffed three or four women in my life. I had sex with every one of them more than once. decided that if there was no emotional bond between us, then the sex was very unfulfilling. There were about five years before that which were anywhere from great to fair, but once it stopped, it never picked up again. It’s a (severe) policy to try to keep this Last Bastion for us to speak about a life without women by keeping any negative talk of women out. (Positive talk of women is mocked by the members as “Blue Pill”). Convince me I’m wrong.

Not all MGTOW come from the “bottom” 80%. There are MGTOW in the top 20 who see the way the wind is blowing, and that they are wanted not for who they are, but for what they have that women can take: good genes for a strong, successful, fierce FEMALE child and the posh lifestyle. Whether these guys are bad boys or good guys is secondary, and in fact women might tend to assume they are the worst simply because “all men are trash” and “all men are potential rapists” and “all men want is a lay and …

A shit test? I would suggest looking up unfamiliar words and phrases on Urban Dictionary dot com, but from the context as I have seen it used over the last several years, a shit test is a scheme people (most often women use them on men) set up to find out how far their subject will let them go and what they can get away with. A shit test could be as minor as waiting by the house or car door to see if the man will open and hold it for her to asking the man if it’s okay if she spends the weekend i…

You were very right not to ask her out before; it could have made things awkward whether she had accepted or not, gone out or been stood up, gotten into a serious relationship or broken up. I think your premise is wrong; beauty standards are not unrealistic. What you describe as being men’s standard of beauty is actually closer to an ideal, which is why men will date women who don’t meet their dreams. Moreover, what men find attractive is different from man to man and the norm can change from generation to generation. “Rubenesque” used to be the ideal, then wasp-waisted, and now women are Rubenesque again, largely because men will accept them being that way. If men didn’t find that…

Happiness comes from appreciating what you have. To increase happiness, open your awareness of all you have. You do that by that old canard: count your blessings. Everyday, write down three things you appreciate, and add new and different things you are thankful for to the previous day’s list. Within a month, you’ll have a list of about one hundred things you appreciate. Keep doing that, and you’ll find there’s a lot to be thankful for. It’s the wanting of what one does NOT have that leads to mi…

Love is an emotion of pleasure we feel when we see beauty, good, or virtue in someone and associate the beauty, good or virtue with that someone. That is the Jewish definition for Love. It’s an emotion. It’s pleasurable. WE feel it; the object of our appreciation will not feel it, and may not even know we are having such a feeling. Someone could love you, but you have no interest in them AT ALL. They are the ones getting any benefit from their feelings. It seems to me, then, that we could love s…

“Treat others as you want them to treat you” is a fool’s game. You give with no probability they will give back, and little probability they will even recognize you’re being nice. People, especially women, tend to simply think they deserve nice treatment for nothing. A better “Golden Rule” is “Don’t do to anyone else what you would not want done to you.” THAT is doable. It means, don’t be a sick to people, and if you Fock up and do it accidentally or unknowingly, APOLOGIZE! Be a stand up dude an…

I am trained in Biblical polemics. I learned how to refute certain claims and counter the other side’s counter-refutations. But more important than that is WHY people believe as they do and why they refuse to believe as the evidence suggests they should believe. Sometimes people believe a certain way because that’s what they were taught, and straying from the Party Line can result in unpleasant repercussions. Some of those repercussions are promised in the distant future, some are meant to sugge…

Suicide, so they say, is a permanent ‘solution’ to a temporary problem. If you want to die, maybe consider just dying ON PAPER. Let a neighbor know you are not feeling well and see you wander off toward a bridge or cliff that is famous as a “lover’s leap,” and then keep walking off out of the county. Then go some safe and begin life in a new location and new job. Do not use your social security number or other identifying documents. Make no contact with anyone from your former life. You may then…

Considering how many times a day I could go as a young buck, I think that’s a fairly accurate guesstimate. As for professionals, I have found sex (even with a happy ending)has a very empty feeling for me. In the 80’s, there was a band who were hot for about a minute. They were called Tears For Fears. Their song “Shout” is based on Primal Scream Therapy, which basically says that it can be therapeutic to scream like your foot has been ripped off. It’s cathartic, I would think. For one of those, “if I didn’t laugh, I’d cry” situations.

The problem with relationships is not that women will hurt a man, it’s that at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all, any woman CAN hurt a man. And that hurt can be damaging, devastating, and long-lasting or even permanent. Even a woman you’ve never met before can accuse you of sexual harassment and the men on the bus at the time could beat you to death. It has already happened in real life. Your wife or girlfriend could accuse you of molesting her/your children, whom you love and wou…

While AWALT, it isn’t necessarily so that women don’t love men. They simply love differently. IMHO, adoption rules and regulations should be liberalized substantially. If loving couples didn’t have to spend a large fortune just to adopt a child, then more children would be adopted with a better standard of life because the couples could afford to pamper or at least provide as a child should be provided for. But I guess I could be wrong. Maybe we want only very rich people to have children.

A man once explained how he writes women in his books by thinking of a man, and then removing sense and reason and halving logic. Then I read where she says that men think she shouldn’t expect men to want to stay with her... which is exactly what I thought. At least she’s self-aware.

The world doesn’t understand? I don’t understand the world’s (and your family’s in specific) response to MGTOW!! Maybe you can help me get a handle on this. Are they not understanding your views, or not understanding your reaction(s) to what you see happening, or angry that you’re quitting the game by taking your balls and going home? What’s it to them if you sit on the sidelines “for a while” and let someone else fall on his sword, er, I mean ‘grab his piece of the pie’?

I sit in one of two ways The first is called seiza, which, for those who don’t know, is just kneeling down with your knees two fists width apart and your big toes touching, and your butt resting on your heels and your shoulders above your hips. This is stressful on the ankles if you don’t stretch them enough to be able to sit that way. It’s also stressful on the knees, but to a lesser degree. I can sit this way on tile, concrete, or wood, but it’s more comfortable to sit on a carpet or exercise …

I have practiced meditation for years, and read up on it to see what I could be doing to get better at it. I learned that, During meditation when you have thoughts rise up, you are supposed to simply let them go again. If you acknowledge it, entertain it, focus on it, it will stick around and make itself at home. Maybe invite some of its friends over to the party, friends who may be even less wanted than the original thought was. Don't pay thoughts attention and they'll go away. One thought that…

You'd also have to outlaw false rape/domestic violence accusations, and make filing a false report or falsely testifying in court carry the exact same penalties that the accused would face had they been convicted of the crime(s) they were falsely accused of. Then, maybe I'd wade into the shallow end of the pool.

The Jews say that women were created to ‘civilize’ men. Without a wife, a man will become a slave to his own testosterone. He will acquire things, sometimes at expense of others, and guard the things he has gained, sometimes at risk to innocents, and attack people to take from them what he wants. [One ancient group of peoples had a name for ‘war’ that translates as ‘wanting more cows.’] When a man has a loving woman, he has someone else to take into consideration, whose respect he must earn, and…

In the Jewish Tradition*, it is taught "Bring Business Acumen into Lining." All or most of the “benefits” are exactly why so many men are eschewing marriage! The one missing is “Married men are abandoned and then divorce raped 100% more frequently than single men, and falsely accused of domestic abuse at about the same rate as men cohabitating but not married.” [eta]. On the actual plus side, “Married men are far less likely to be accused of date rape than single men” That is primarily because married men go on fewer dates.

For some people, life needs meaning. A “so what?” A purpose to it all. AIUI, the point to MGTOW is to avoid entangling interactions with females; by which I mean no LTR in one’s personal life and to be VERY careful in one’s business dealings with women. For some MGTOW, a STR MAY be a risk worth taking, but NOT to cohabitate or to intermingle finances in any way. For others, it may mean Monk Mode, whether that’s be for a short term or permanently. Other than that, MGTOW is about self-actualization and personal growth. But I could be wrong. YMMV.

Moreover, no apology to any group will benefit the person apologizing, because those people most butthurt and loudest about being offended are not going to be placated, no matter what the “offending” party does. And they’ll still be vocal about their butthurt so it’ll look like you never apologized anyway. Feminists don’t get to tell men what clothes men would prefer their girl wears. They absolutely can mock women who dress modestly, but those…

That’s my point. The reason couples “take vows” is so each knows the other will stay in the relationship “till death do [they] part.” If they think the other will bail as soon as it “gets hard”, then they’ll be less incentivized to put forth any extra effort. But if each one thinks that God will punish them for taking His name in vain, then it’s not just their partner they have to please, but they do have to find a way to please their partner. A scoffer and an atheist is only in the relationship…

My wife had a friend who kept using “yet and still,” and I hated that. It’s not a deal breaker, so I wouldn’t end a relationship over it. What I’m wondering is, other than sex (she doesn’t mention if it’s good sex or how frequent it is), what does she bring to the table? Is she caring? Doesn’t seem likely considering the judgement language she uses for people who aren’t there to defend themselves. Is she generous? Men have been told by dating “experts” that women are wrapped up in themselves, so men ask the woman about the woman to get her talking about herself, a subject she should know a little about. EVEN IF a young woman doesn’t want children and doesn’t think she ever will, she should still understand that men are hardwired to desire young women who COULD bear children and are young enough to be expected to live long enough to see them grow into adulthood. If she wants to get a guy for LTR, she should keep biology in mind.

I did that once. I playfully snuck up behind a female and startled her. The next time she approached me, I reflexively snapped, 'Get away from me, bitch.' She seemed hurt.

Indeed. A hundred and fifty years ago, a girl that graduated from school with no prospect of a man to marry was already at risk of being “an old maid” or “spinster.” Average life expectancy was quite a bit shorter at about 30-40 years of age. A 20-year Old was already middle-aged! So she had better get hitched while the getting is good. The one possible exception would be the school marm, an expression that carried the connotation of being strict and arbitrarily mean.

There is a show called "The Incredible Dr. Pol." Dr Pol is a veterinarian who is the focus of a reality tv show that follows him and/or his staff around while he/they tend to sick and injured farm animals. I haven't watched the entire series, but in the first two seasons at least, Barney is a PUA, not MGTOW. [I only started watching the show because of Allison Hannigan, who, as Willow on Buffy, was very attractive to me. I already hated the Cobie Smulders character the first episode. She slept with the main character on the first date and then flatly refused to ever marry him, or even consider it. She's a sperm toilet. Also, I just noticed Barney's is the only character whose name I know.]

I was also once falsely accused of inappropriate behavior, but after both of us were interviewed, she was not believed. For example, one female character was 'made up' to represent the workers at the reactor that malfunctioned. The baby becomes conscious as soon as it pops out of the vagina. False. The baby becomes conscious when it begins to feel pain as unpleasant. But that’s not the point. A baby is a young human. That fetus is not an elephant, nor a cow, it’s a human. Murder is the unjustly and intentionally taking of a human life. Abortion is the intentional and unjust (the condemned is never offered a chance to make her case as to why she should not be killed, nor allowed to have her case before a jury of her peers, nor offered a lawyer, etc) ending of a human life.

That means, I would leave my barracks and catch a vehicle that would drive me three hours away so I could be on duty for three straight days (I was of course allowed to sleep in my rack, but if something came up, I was obligated to get up and deal with it before returning to bed... unless by then I would normally be up for my regular shift. Three days after arriving at the site, I would get in another…

When I was in the USAF, it was a violation of UCMJ to do anything other than get to and from the base and your quarters while off base in BDUs. You had to either be in Dress Blues or civilian attire. An exception could be allowed for stopping for gasoline for your vehicle or that you’re going to the hospital for an acute (sudden onset) issue that you cannot take the time to change clothes to attend to.

As for the cases of rapes going unreported, and some frighteningly high number of rapists go free, while it can be argued that the attacks DID occur, the perps are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, so, ISTM that technically, those peeps are not rapists.
/r/MGTOW21/04/19 05:35 AM

The ‘rapists walk free’ stat is blatant BS. The ACTUAL stats are that roughly 2-7% of rape allegations prove (in a court of law) to be true, and a similar number prove (in a court of law) to be UNTRUE; the vast majority are not proved to be true or false. The weird beard in the goofy cap seems to be assuming ALL accusations are true, and even then his figures are wrong. SOURCE: NSVRC.org “False Reporting”

The sage is not describing happiness, he’s describing contentment at first, and possibly also with marriage, but it’s also possible he’s describing joy, which is pleasurable excitement one feels from the anticipation of things to come in the future. Happiness, on the other hand, is the pleasure one takes from the pleasures available to him, and focusing on that pleasure. To achieve happiness, count your blessings and focus on the pleasure.

Women who falsely allege sexual assault ARE ill. They prey on innocent men by using guns to ruin their lives or kill them. These women are actually too cowardly to hold the guns themselves, so they employ men in blue or brown uniforms.

I think the word OP is looking for is Feminism. Toxic Masculinity is demonizing men for being men and doing what men do. Men fight wars. Men defend the weak. Men earn money to feed their families. Men need to provide a little room for Peter and The Boys. Men explain things to enhance understanding and limit confusion to the minimum. Face it, we are what we are. Nothing about Susie having “daddy issues” and starting to drape herself on you and actually lay her head in your lap as you sit on the couch to watch Game of Thrones, season 25. Or how, even if she has NOT done any of that, she calls CPS or 911 and claims you keep “checking on her” while she’s sleeping... and your ‘loving’ wife believes her precious, precious daughter, not you. Question: "How can he ignore my rejection and find another partner?" Answer: Apparently, quite easily. Something like this happened to me. I was rejected as a potential partner by a woman, and found another who would happily spread her legs to me. The one who had rebuffed me pulled me aside and commented that the current girl was hardly any complement to HER. Apparently, because the new girl was as ugly as sin, that somehow reflected poorly on her... somehow.
