So I made the mistake of befriending a female coworker [23/ with BF] who happened to also be the target of several boundary violations from another male coworker [38/Married/2 daughters] (big mistake I know, tried to keep the relationship professional and strictly at work). Every time our fellow male coworker was alone with her he would at top level cringe flirt with her and even touched her hair. Upon learning this another female coworker went straight to our female director of the facility in which the director only gave the 38 male a stern talking to. Months go by and I decided I trusted her enough to go bowling with 6 other coworkers 3 male/ 3 female including myself and her. Guess she thinks that made us pals because while another day at work, I was watching the security cameras I realized she had run across the control deck and mock donkey punched me. I didn't respond and watched her out of the corner of my eye as she continued to do it two more times. Having spent 5 years in the navy submarine force when anyone does that to you, you have an instant reaction. I said "That is not okay. If you were a guy I would ball tap you right now." and I walked away. Later she had the gull to sweetly ask me if I wanted to help her move out of her old apartment. I said "Sure. What time tomorrow?" Before I left work I realized what happened as the evening panned out in my head. The next day I went to the gym and slept right through the afternoon she asked for my help. There was a heat wave that evening and it got to 110 F. The next day her and I worked together I looked at her and asked, "How was the move?" and let me tell you when I saw the tired and miserable look on her face I couldn't have been more pleased with myself.

TL;DR - never befriend female coworkers and never do women favors
