I know. I look back and it's disgusting.

Tiffany. Overpriced and pretty poor quality. My new partner listened when I told him I like lab grown ethical diamonds (look them up if not familiar, they are real diamonds, just a more ethical choice and a fraction of the cost!) and so for Christmas gave me 1 carat earrings with a higher grading then that piece of crap ring and they were only 2k. He snuck off and bought them as a surprise, it wasn't that he was buying them for me, he was giving me a real gift.

Ohhh he got his. He wanted to buy me a ring, he ended up trying to impress the sales woman and spent just over 10k on this quarter carat of diamond (ha!) from some over priced jewellery shop. I didn't even like the ring that much to be honest. Anyway, while he was flirting with her and paying for it I was dealing with another lady who was filling in the paperwork for me. "Let's put the ring in your name". Um... okay. I didn't really understand. Anyway, fast forward a couple of weeks and he decid…

Oh wow. This reminds me when I was 23 years old and dating a ewww 51 yeat old. I wanted to SpOiL him so took him on a holiday. I booked and paid for flights, a 5 star hotel, a car rental included drinks and meals in our hotel etc. The weekend cost me a small fortune, like, I literally could have bought a second hand car. Anyway, we get home and he has a go at me because "You said you wanted to take me away and it ended up costing me money!" What money you ask? He paid the parking at the airport …

I played house once. Bought most of the furniture, decked out all the kitchen appliances (expensive as hell!), decorated into making it our home. One day I was cooking him dinner, the next I was homeless. Literally homeless. Despite having put all my money into it. Never, ever again.

The whole picture was of my face peeling due to a body scrub. Super painful. I've gone the whole day without texting so far, but as I mention in an earlier comment, my attachment issues caused by my mental illness makes it very difficult. But I'm making progress.

Unfortunately, due to my Borderline Personality Disorder I have massive attachment issues and am unable to walk away from people easily. It needs to be a slow process that I am 100% in control of otherwise I become very unstable. I've managed to cut it back again today and will do it even further tomorrow until one day, I just don't respond.

No! I'm not like other girls! All I want is a good guy! I've been searching so long! You must be him! I was just about to give up! Or you know, you could actually be a good guy instead of a manipulative piece of garbage.

100% right. He called me when he got home from work and was like "What are you doing tonight?" "Hmmm, I think I'll take a bath, go to the shops and buy some fake tan and then tan myself. You?" "Oh, just packing things up again." "OK, well I was going to suggest we catch up to discuss the rest of the stuff but you do what needs to be done and we will see each other over the weekend." "No, we can catch up tonight!" "No, you really need to do that stuff and I really need to do my tan. Let's pencil …

I had a friend a long time ago who was a vet. She had a good job saving pets lives in an emergency centre and was a good human. A good human indeed. Then something clicked in her mind. She lost weight, thought she was suddenly too good for her husband (she wasn't, that dude was and remains a HVM), her children were a nuisance and she wanted an open marriage. He said no and left her, she fought for the children she didn't actually want and sadly won and I tried to stay and help as best as I could…

You want to know the final straw in my marriage? My husband never, ever passed wind around me because it's rude. It's disgusting, I don't want to smell your poop particles. Except towards the end, he was at the top of the stairs and I was behind him and he did the most disgusting and loud fart so it travelled all the way down the stairs behind him and I had to smell it when I walked down behind him. So long you disgusting fucker.

Edit: We made up and are back together... Real Edit: KIDDING... Real update below... Full disclosure, I am wine drunk. I have never told my husband about FDS. He has no idea where I remind myself of my values or where my 'friends' that give me advice are from. Okay, so he wanted to talk. I still haven't stopped crying all day and even when he came to me to talk I couldn't stop crying. He told me that since we married, I have been a more grumpy. I acknowledged the truth in that but pointed out I …

I feel like lately this sub has taught me there is no such thing as a HVM. They are all just living to whatever standards we allow them to be at. I certainly didn't learn that from pickmeisha.

I personally love that we can just say "Urgh! Men are pigs!" and not have to justify our reasonings. I love that we recognise men will devalue us given the opportunity and we are taking back that power. Which is why I also love when I see the butt hurt males complaining they have given up on us and will never date again. Good boy, weed out these genes.

Honestly, I've been sitting in the spare room feeling a little down and just to know that there are people out there who actually dedicate time to our future, watching us succeed from afar because he'll never be welcomed at the party is just a whole new mood.

Is it just me or do other women look at posts like this and think "Okay, he's been married 20 years, safe to say he's around 40. I don't know a single person who uses "IDK" as a 40 year old." I always assume it's karma farming when they type like a teen.

I didn't get involved in that debate, but did have a quick Google. The following (in my country at least) is illegal: Under 12 years old. If you are under 12, a person can't have sex with you or touch you sexually or perform a sexual act in front of you, even if you agree. So given that by wanking off in front of a baby could indeed give you a stint on the sex offenders register, I think it's fair to call them a paedophile.

I'm an Australia and we love pots (beer) and parmas (chicken parmigiana). Every pub has a pot & parma night that's cheap. It must be written in our constitution or something. Anyway, I met this male off Bumble (first and last Bumble date) and he suggested his local pub because they had a pot & parma special. "Ohh look at me, the easy going Aussie girl, haha that sounds perfect! No fine dining here!" I get to the pub and he's late, like 15 minutes. He finally gets there and we go into the sports …

No woman WANTS a coffee/drinks date. We (women, not me personally) accept them because that's what is being offered and society has conditioned us to feel guilty for wanting and asking for more. Have you ever looked back at your grandparents and thought "What a beautiful relationship!"? I guarantee Grandpa didn't take Grandma out for Starbucks and then expect a blowie on the ride home.

My sister went through this same thought train when she left her NV ex. She felt guilty because he had to give her so much money each month because the baby didn't cost her that much. I explained that yes, the baby does cost you that much. Your ability to earn as much income will be affected for a very long time, that alone justifies the amount he contributes Not to mention the costs to come when the baby grows up and wants expensive gadgets. Do you want your child to miss out because you had a …

Business owner? Bet you $20 he mowed one lawn a year ago and now considers himself to be the director of a landscaping company. His teeth are disgusting. I feel like kissing him would leave a slimy residue in your throat. The whole thing is just vile.

I'm cringing. This remind me of before I was married and still very much a Pick Me, hidden under the 'Modern Day Woman' equality crap. I'd been on a few dates with some dude, obviously hadn't even kissed yet. Anywho, he calls one night and asks if he can stop by on his way home from work for a quick hello. "Awww how sweet, of course you can". He comes over, we sit in his car and talk for about 10 minutes, he leaves and I go to bed. Anyway, the next day my friend calls me and is all like "Girl, w…

I met my husband OLD and the reason I know he wouldn't install the app again is because we have a happy and healthy relationship. If I wanted to, I'm able to pick up his phone, type in the PIN and poke around until my hearts content and he is able to do that with my phone. Meeting online cannot be compared to being intimate with a prostitute or cheating.

Lol. Poly "is the practice of, or desire for, intimate relationships with more than one partner, with the informed consent of all partners involved". It is not what I have seen 99% of adverts seeking, example; girlfriend and I seeking a weekend fuck. It's almost as bad as the 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' overnight 'doms'. You're all shit. All you'll generate is shit. Cut your hair, take out your piercings and get a job.

What a selfish prick. She supported him, built him up and helped him to get into that damn apartment he now wants her to pay half of and he repays her by acting like she is asking for something she hasn't already PROVEN she will do (i.e support his sorry arse). Seriously, NEVER GO HALVES WITH MEN! Not even when married. Ever. If he can't or won't support you when it's just the two of you, he sure as hell won't support you when there's a baby in the house and you suddenly can't work because you'r…

100% agree. We have 2 joint accounts that we use for everyday expenses and savings but only his wages go into that. All of my wages go into my own account that my husband doesn't have access to. When I initially approached that conversion I told him that eventually I would be giving up my ability to earn any income because I would be having a child for us and so I wanted to ensure I had a safety net just incase. He agreed that if we were ever in a position that God forbid something happened to h…

Do you know what I really don't understand about poly? My husband is my husband. I am his wife. When I committed myself to him, it was not without some expectations. I expect regular dates, flowers as required (generally twice a week depending on how quickly they die - I like fresh flowers in our home), he is 100% financially responsible for our home and I expect him to be able to purchase anything we need (if it is a large expense I understand that sometimes it takes time for us to save up for …

Oh. My. God. I just watched it. I felt like a pedo watching it. They are literally teasing the audience in the exact same way a stripper would. These are children. What the fuck is this? What the fuck? Seriously? Any man that is okay with that is a POS.

100%. It's human nature to always want more and a little better, but once mediocre men get the girl that's always otherwise been otherwise unobtainable, it's like they think they no longer have to try because their dick is the prize.

Back when I was a Pick Me I dated a guy who was a 30kgs overweight, shorter then myself, face like a dropped pie, danced like a jackass but thought he looked amazing and treated me like an absolute queen. Until I built his self-esteem up. He suddenly thought he was Mr Hot Shot because he somehow managed to bag an attractive woman like myself. He suddenly treated me like absolute shit. I recently asked my (same age) partner "What's the go with men wanting younger women? And 'sexy' schoolgirl outfits? Do you find that attractive?" "No babe, I'm not a paedophile." He thinks it's disgusting that men out there fuck women that could easily be their daughters, despite it being legal. "What is legal isn't always right".

Dear FDS, My boyfriend of 10 years promised me that he would think about marriage in 5 years. I agree we shouldn't rush and I love him so much so I cooked him a 20 course meal to say thank you, but he wanted chicken and I cooked him beef. AITA?
