Yep. My childhood wasn't the best (but it wasn't horrible either). Taught me early on to do things alone by myself and it's just how I grew up. I find tons of ways to entertain myself. The best part is that you don't even have to go to the gym if you have a basement you can set up a squat rack in. That's what I did. I built a platform and just have the rack, bench, lots of plates and a few bars. It's minimal and exactly what I need without any fluff. I hate going to the gym so I bought a squat rack and made a gym at home instead. It lets me do the big 3 powerlifting exercises and much more safely without a spotter.
