I’m sorta in the same situation, had to sell my house, living in my truck, and when I sold my house I had to do bunch of repairs cause it was a old house built in 1976, I had gotten out of the military and trying to get used to civilian life, I was thinking about ending it at one point cause I just didn’t see any way out. But I moved out of state and still living in my Truck and making things work

True, idk I'm just conflicted I'm a man so I have the natural urge to start a family like kids, wife, etc. I thought I had it all but my ex was a promiscuous snake that went around alot but that was her, I can't project the trauma caused me onto others or else I'm no better. I just wanna see if I can protect myself financial in case my next relationship doesn't work out.

What does that mean common law? What if I say she is a roommate?

I don't have kids, I want a family or start a family. Besides my mom and dad, we don't have an extended family, never met my uncle or cousins since we technically don't have them. We lost everything when my parents nice to the US like years ago. So I had a need to start a family, after my parents, I will be legit alone.

Oh haha I guess it's just a perception then, I use to think inspectors were like master tradesmen like they know everything but recently dealt with one and he just took photos and didn't give any really info on anything, I was abit let down. I was hoping for some down to earth wisdom or tips and stuff but nothing.
/r/Divorce_Men14/02/24 01:39 PM

Wow, that's really cool man I do some odd stuff around the house like plumbing, electrical, drywall stuff too but I feel like tradesman are usually in a different league tho like know more about the codes and regulation. I can weld too but again no where near like an actual welder

Thank you very solid advice How did you increase your income?
/r/Divorce_Men13/02/24 03:12 PM

Wow! That's amazing I'm definitely going to look at sales from a different lens then
/r/Divorce_Men13/02/24 03:06 PM

Maybe I have a misconception about sales? But I always thought you had to sell and only then you make money. Did you make alot of sales or did they give you a good salary that allowed you to be successful. Are you still in sales?

How did you reach FIRE sir? And what steps did you take to do the academy? Very interested in learning more, if you are open to sharing

That's the problem, looking back to where I was to where I am. I feel like I barely know that person, I've gained weight, unemployed, divorced, and lost my house, so pretty much homeless. I went from owning a $350K home in CA to living in a 18ft RV. So at the moment, but I do have the drive and ambitious to be successful again, idk how tho.

Oh no, absolutely not. I don't want to be big man, I genuinely want my life to be better. Depression just squeezed the life out of me and I don't believe in myself or my decisions anymore. I don't wanna be famous, I just wanna be loved and on the right path again, I guess I wanna be proud of myself again, I forgot that feeling man

Well I use to work Government brother, I understand she wouldn't be entitled to that nor will she have any impact on my life in the future. I have nothing tying us together after the Feb 28th. That's why my house will be official someone else. But I want to get my life back on track. I'm going to live on a military base, $450 for electric, water, and sewage hook up. I want to know where I should move, what career path to follow, what to eat or drink, tips and advice to just go towards the right …

I'm sorry, but this terrible advice. I appreciate your input but isn't logical, moving to a different country is a big decision. I appreciate your bro advice but this doesn't help unfortunately.

What are some of your recommendation on how to start this experiment? Should I document it via YouTube? Snapchat? Or just on here?

Yay??? What do you guys think??? Read the second paragraph 🙂 California Rights After Judgment Of Nullity (Family Code Section 760 & 2251) As a community property jurisdiction, California requires that all community property (property obtained by either spouse during the marriage or domestic partnership) must be equally divided between the spouses when a valid marriage or domestic partnership is dissolved. This means, for example, that all the community property assets of the marriage or domestic…

No, we got our marriage annulled since we were married for such a short time, in CA, if you are under 3 years since the date of marriage, you can request it to get annulled. We bought the house during the marriage, she is on the title. However, I guess, since the marriage was voided and has never contributed, would I owe her anything. Plus since it's a VA Home loan, we never put anything down, she didn't contribute anything overall all. She just separated when she found someone else and now comi…

Yeah, she used my mental health and injuries at the time as a way to get out of the marriage and ask me to go along with it. I was in a dark place at the time and agreed and got our marriage annulled. I'm glad we did so cause looks like community thing doesn't apply and she's just on the title as a co-owner, plus being a VA home loan, we didn't pay anything down, so she didn't contribute anything what so ever. Just can't believe she would demand for half as if I owe her.
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/23 11:18 AM

What do you mean?
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/23 11:14 AM
3

Yes, that's what I'm trying to figure out now. Technically since the marriage was nullified, the community laws doesn't apply, but how true is that being it's California.
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/23 11:13 AM

Update: Everyone is saying I'm divorced, I actually got my marriage contract nullified due to fraud. Meaning our marriage never happened. Judge at the time didn't ask for fiances cause we said we will do it outside of court. Which was I take responsibility of paying for the house and car and she wouldn't need to pay and can move out. Me and my Ex-wife came to an agreement that I frauded her by not disclosing her about my mental health and injuries that I had accquired during my time in service p…

I am so sorry to hear about your loss brother, it's disgusting how people can cheat others so easily
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/23 04:02 AM

I told her the same thing, she's asking me half or to do stuff when it's convenient for her. What is quitclaim btw? What has been your experience like?
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/23 04:01 AM

Yes, military, I need to reach out to my lender and see how much it would be, she wants half, but half of what? Idk 🤷🏽‍♂️

I know you probably are not wrong, I'm just stressing out I guess
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/23 03:35 AM

She said I can "buy her out" and keep the house but like she didn't contribute anything, if anything she made everything worse and cheated and chose to go live to continue her "lifestyle"

Wow! Thank you for this profound and positive message. I feel like as a man, there's just that burden on us all the time to keep the family together and suffer but yeah I feel like a sack of shit. I will make that list, if anything it will help me to avoid those qualities in the future.

I gained about 100 pounds and working actively to reduce my weight, can I get into BJJ now or should I keep losing weight Like can a heavy guy like me do it, is that appropriate?

The weight has been huge on me... I'm slowly getting back into fitness and considering BJJ but unsure at the moment I advidly run tho I am very bad introvert, how dif you expand your circle, that is honestly very hard for me
