So, what's your end goal with this relationship? Just dating? Marriage? If just dating, don't get an apartment together. If marriage, do you really, really want to be married to someone like this? Create children with someone like this? Go through an inevitable divorce with someone like this? Lose said children, which could be male, to someone like this? Be forced to pay alimony to someone like this? Not having a girlfriend is far better than a misandrist girlfriend. Have some respect for yourse…

It's called saving money. You put away $10-20 or so every pay and then get one later. If you want one earlier, you look at all of your frivolous expenditures you regularly have and trim those, such as $5 coffees or $3 Redbulls or eating out instead of making your own food and put those savings into the fund, too.

I can't write for crap and am really busy with studying for work exams, so it would take me a good while to even get started, let alone produce something. I appreciate your offer though, but I think you could find someone way better to write an article. Money. It is always money. If more effort and time is devoted to men then money must accompany that effort and time, and since the government doesn't really give a ton of funding to shelters in general there is a fear that any money going to men doesn't help women. It's been a point that's been raised by numerous feminists and SJWs and is a clear example of "equality for me but not for thee" type of nonsense they are known for.

I agree with this, but to be fair, when's the last time you heard that a man lied about getting raped and it ruined a woman's life? It's pretty much an one way street type of problem.

>2-10% That's not an insignificant amount by any means. If 2-10% of all babies born in a hospital died on day one or 2-10% of all planes crashed in a year there'd be a monumental uproar. I guess 2-10 men out of every 100 being falsely accused is acceptable though. Some people's logic is crazy

Uh, yeah, I would. You don't go around calling people rapists or generalizing like that at work. It's unprofessional and a law suit waiting to happen. Have you never worked at an actual company with an HR department? Do you seriously think it's OK to tell all of your female coworkers that they're false rape accusers because they share the same genitals with people who have?

If OP works somewhere that everyone would laugh about this then whatever, but all I see is a picture of a sign that would make me cringe to see if I was walking to my desk in the morning and have me taking bets about when the person who made it was getting canned.

If none of his co-workers are calling him a rapist then he has no reason to retaliate against them or make them uncomfortable. You don't do dumb shit like this in a work setting, let alone an office. You can try to justify it all you want, but it's unprofessional and should be removed and met with disciplinary action.
/r/MensRights12/12/17 01:46 PM

If I was this guy's boss, he'd be canned ASAP, because he's openly creating a hostile/uncomfortable work environment by accusing all women of being false accusers. I'm not really sure what defines a major metropolitan area, but I know Harrisburg, PA is a metropolitan area and has the Bethesda Mission Men's Shelter. It's a shelter for homeless/abused/addicted men to come to when they need help, so the flier is a bit dishonest saying they are the first in North America. I kind of wish the Mission wasn't religious based though.

Farmers are often considered dumb, occasionally rednecks, and looked down upon by some people. I do not share that sentiment, but was just listing jobs that are the foundation of maintaining our society but are not always looked upon favorably. I've worked on farms and stuff, and my dad came from a farming household, so believe me when I say I respect them
/r/MensRights27/05/17 04:38 PM

I do not disagree with you as I grew up in farm country and did summer work picking potatoes off a harvester and feeding animals. Some people, however, consider farmers to be dumb and farming to be a shit job.

That's what always baffles me. In a decent sized city, their job pays well and it has a visible, notable impact on benefitting the community. They are earning a living making the community better, so what's not to like about them?

People always forget that it's these "lesser jobs" that allow our society to function. If sanitation workers, truckers, farmers, and the like stopped, and not even collectively, just one whole group, we'd be fucked. All you need to do to see what it's like to be in a city with no garbage men to take you trash away is look at the New York strike from years back. If you wouldn't do a job, but someone else will and does, show em some respect

/r/MensRights17/05/17 03:33 AM

This is a hard question to really answer, because neither feminists or women are a unified and cohesive group with set goals and guidelines for how they behave. For every feminist wanting actual equality, you will find a feminist sipping a mug of male tears. For every woman who cares about the plight of men, you'll find a woman saying that all men are shit and deserve to die. For feminists, I'd say to actively and actually uphold their tenants of equality for the sexes. The notion that feminism …

Shifting the focus is seen as taking away from women. It's why when the discussion of abuse shelters for men comes up, the argument is always that it'll take money away from women's shelters. Feminism will only elevate men's issues when it's a byproduct of elevating women. It's why feminists don't give a shit about men getting custody, only that women be given the choice instead of it being forced on them. Men will get more of a percentage of custody as a byproduct of more women choosing to give…

/r/MensRights07/05/17 12:44 PM

Don't you dare mention that, though, because that's sexist. I almost lost my job at Lowe's when I demanded more money than my female coworkers because not only was I a cashier, but I also was the only cashier who could load 90lb concrete bags, lift appliances, and move 50lb sacks of wood pellets or bags of dirt for hours at a time. Most of my coworkers couldn't even easily meet the minimum requirement of being able to lift 40lbs by yourself. It hurt twice as much when I learned that not only was…

So, women are less capable than men in doing soldiering jobs that require heavy lifting? First of all, how did they pass the exams and fitness requirements to get into the mixed unit? Second of all, are these women being paid less, since they can't do the same job? It seems like shoehorning in incompetent soldiers is a danger and will cost lives, so why is it being allowed? These guys are physically suffering to pick up the slack their female counterparts can't, which is crazy bullshit.

Rough drafts and revision exists for a reason, yah know? OP seems a bit aggro right now about tweaking his work, but if he'd just work with the community and readjust it for a more clear, nonhostile message, it could be a solid poster. I don't know if anyone would care or really give it more than a passing glance, but reducing glaring flaws and hostility is important to getting people to at least hear MRAs out with how lousy our reputation is

Lego not making a male caretaker is not an issue of rights, it's whining because you can't find the toy you want. The Men's Rights subreddit is a place for those who wish to discuss men's rights and the ways said rights are infringed upon. No right is being violated, hence it is not a men's rights issue

It isn't? A responsibility is something you have to do. You don't have to put the seat down, so don't. Women complaining at men about the seat is also a joke and childish whining, so just treat it like typical childish whining and don't listen. If you see signs like this, just tear em down and toss em in the garbage where trash like this belongs.

Not at all, but thanks for labeling me. I just don't think that women wanting the toilet seat put down is really that important to men's rights. First off, it isn't a right or a law. Second, if you can defeat it by printing out a funny bit of text on a slip of paper, it isn't really a problem. Try thinking a little more and being a little less of a judgemental fuck face that discredits the movement

If they fix, or try to fix, the divides they are making between men and women, their fanbase that most likely came to them looking for affirmation about these divides could dry up and leave the site dying. If they keep putting out articles that perpetuate the divide and keep women unsure and guessing, those women could start to agree with these views and become stronger supporters. Talk about college campuses perpetuating rape culture. A man gets raped, victim blamed, expelled, and his dad gets fired. No feminist or SJW groups stand up for him and the college blatantly took the woman's side. Hopefully the college pays out a couple million when they are sued and loses a ton of alumni donations.
/r/MensRights02/03/17 10:58 AM

You know who gets mad and upset at every little thing? Feminists and SJWs. We're supposed to be better than them and focus on fixing problems and getting stuff done, not just whining on forums and lamenting yet another BuzzFeed or Salon or whatever article saying "White men is bad lol"

Small milestones man, small milestones to get things rolling. As a MRA, I agree that circumcision is kind of a low priority on fixing society's shitty treatment of men, but it is still an issue. Circumcision for no medical reason is basically telling a boy that he's ugly, unattractive, and some how a disgusting freak because he has foreskin, something with which he was naturally born, or that chopping up his dick as a baby is cool because it is tradition and he didn't really deserve a say. So, because some dumb old fucks don't know how to clean their dicks, everyone should just preemptively have it cut off? Do these people not bath or shower? Do they not understand that all they need to do is roll the foreskin back and wash it? I understand if they were one of those guys with like, 2-3 inches of extra sleevage that hangs off the end and makes it hard to clean or if they have STDs or some shit, but getting infections due to improper washing is pretty pathetic.
/r/MensRights16/01/15 07:20 AM

There's two sides to a foreskin, the outer side that is generally less sensitive due to abrasion and stuff that deadens it a bit, and the inner side that is more sensitive. Ask your buddy to roll his foreskin back and pinch a section of the inside skin. I bet he feels it a lot more.

Well, maybe I prefer the appearance of a woman who was mutilated? That seems to be a pretty widespread stance and view that women have for male circumcision, so it seems fair that men can have it for women and they should honor it or feel like shit later for being natural. The other stance is that so what if they have their clits removed, they can still enjoy sex without it. Well, imagine if I was a company and I came to your town. I tested every guy for STIs and then took all those who tested negative and cut off the foreskin of half the guys. Then I waited a month or so and came back and tested everyone again. I bet that most of the guys who I chopped up have had less, if any, sex than the guys who were left alone since, you know, their dicks were cut up and between pain, scabbing, and infection, wanting to fuck had taken a back seat. And that sounds a lot like a women's issue. At no point do men have to go there and submit to their rule if they don't. It is as simple as that. Even if men do go there and submit to the women's rules, those men are obviously fine with being dominated and subjugated to the community rule that they willing submitted to.

I get as grumpy as the next guy when I hear about female-on-male domestic abuse that results in male jail time, but outrage should always be countered with redoubled efforts to educate the public and bring injustice to light, not stew over it and become venomous and vengeful.

Zero tolerance must have missed my school then because I was elementary in the 90s and never got suspended or anything for playing guns. A kid brought a BB gun to school and all he did was have it confiscated and he was suspended, but that was for having an actual gun. Yes, crackdowns are worse on men than women, but this is a fucking elementary school and it was a simple act of over zealous, unreasonable punishment, similar to the way most people on this sub respond to every little thing that s…

I agree that extreme feminists would be upset at girls being suspended for doll play, and it is a bit aggravating that a predominantly young male activity is coming under fire, but it is the context of the situation. America is on an absurdly high level of fear over everything, especially suggestions of guns in schools. Outright displays of violence (whether gun based or hand-to-hand) are more apparent and recognizable to observers. Violent or destructive play involving dolls isn't so much unles…

I don't think this has as much to do with crushing "male" activities so much as an overly zealous and unthinking disciplinary action. Children across the country have suffered detention/suspension for making Lego guns, gluing army men to a hat for veteran's day, and various gun related activities. It just appears to be more focused on boys as boys are more likely to play cops n robbers or soldier or pretend with guns. Growing up, there were girls that did this too, but a disproportionate amount …

Articles like this make me confused on why a male can't get scholarships for being a minority in college, but women can. If women are the majority of college graduates, then men are the minority and women should be the ones that can't find financial aid due to their sex.

I hang fliers sometimes, Facebook, tweet sometimes, and head a group during Movember. Could prolly do more, but school and work take up a lot of my time and I don't have much money to afford cards or things to hand out.

Mostly about the tone. This sub comes off as a group of angry men (and some women) who are pissy that women have the upper hand in some situations. I had hoped this sub was for more than news article postings and more about actually voicing opinions and getting out into the community, whether physical or digital, to make people more aware of things like the amount of male casualties in the workplace or to provide support for men who are suffering emotionally and need someone to talk to.

As contradictory as it comes off, it is because it isn't a major cancer that really kills a ton of men each year. Female heart disease kills a vast amount of women each year, yet women are often bombarded with fears of breast or cervical cancers to the point that other issues are likely to not seem as prevalent. The exception would be in cases, like my mom, where a female relative died of heart disease and it educates a family of the danger. Male breast cancer is a tragic thing when it occurs, b…

Heart disease and heart attacks are usually depicted a lot more as happening to men. I knew about heart disease and stuff as a man really early because of media and family. It isn't an as apparent killer of women when you consider all the hype over breast and cervical cancers, so reminding women that their heart health is also important is a good thing I think.

It's also a thing because the female breast is the most advertised thing in society. Wearing a wrist band that says "Save the boobies" or "I <3 Boobs" looks better than "I <3 Balls" or "I'll check your prostate".

Join Movember, it's a fundraising and awareness group that funds help groups and research. Their donations are used to link doctors across borders, help desperate men, and have even helped to discover over 20 different ways cancer can be classified in the prostate or testicles to better cure it.
