Yeah Fuel price has gone up but so has the CAD. Oil goes up my $ goes up because we export tons of oil. Its the same thing with food mate. When I was over in europe in France and Germany you buy a bag of chips for the same denomination of money but your money has way more value (this is CAD but it was the same as the american at the time). Get a drink at a store 1.50 euro same thing is 1.50 CAD. I don't get how people do it over there and why the money has so much value if it doesn't really go farther.

Totally agree engineering and other applied sciences pay better but a straight up science degree isn't getting you a great paying job. A real scientist isn't going into science for money though you do it because you enjoy the work. It's the type of work that's fufilling if you are passionate about it.

Nope they are not I'm demand here in Canada. It's almost near impossible to get into those schools the competition is so stiff and there are so few positions. Those are all also jobs where you need graduate school after just a degree. A science degree isn't getting you those kind of jobs.

They are not in high demand where I am and they certainly don't pay better than if you got a business degree and get a good job. Computer sciences and engineering pay well but hard sciences don't. Working in a chem or bio lab as a scientist with just a degree doesn't pay that great. Its really only in demand if you are a women because of the sexist quotas.

No actually in Canada where I live stats Canada doesn't provide statistics on reciprocal violence. Domestic violence is seen as something that effects men equal to women by their studies. The problems I see are that there aren't recourse or help for men to get when they are the victims of such things where as there are for women.

In a 2005 stats can study (dated I know) they found there was actually an equal number of men as women who were victims of domestic violence.
