Yes, after 13 years she said we didn't have anything in common. I told her all the things we did together over that time. Blank stare. Rewriting history was the worst part. All the happy memories were a lie, and it was all my fault. 100% bullshit but she would never admit that. My wife became an emotional robot. Cold, uncaring, blaming me for everything. It was a terrible experience.

Yeah, not this sub. No one is asking women anything here. Every answer would be the same anyway - "I was unhappy." That's the national anthem of women - "I'm unhappy."

I believe everything would be different if they abolished no fault divorce. You want to leave? Fine, but you have to give up this amount of equity in the house etc...

If she won't get treatment, there's not much you can do. It's a tragedy to me, because I am an adhd success story. I'm guessing the Celexa was for depression. And I agree with your wife, I tried it and hated it. I tried six different antidepressants and finally said enough. I hated all of them and they weren't effective. I was resigned to feeling bad for the rest of my life. My current therapist was the first person who wondered if I might have adhd. I'm 52, and adhd medication saved my life. Ma…

I was the husband with adhd. It absolutely destroyed my wife's affection for me. So I understand it from the other side. I got diagnosed right before she filed for divorce. My medication and therapy totally changed my life for the better, even with the divorce. Please don't consider divorce until you've had the talk with her. Tell her that you cannot live like this anymore and that therapy and medication is a must. I got lucky with my medication (Vyvanse). It worked for me immediately. See if sh…

Who knows what goes through her head. My ex and I are 100% finished with the divorce. No need to ever talk again. A couple of months ago, she got a new car. We were always talking about getting her one when we were married. I asked her what she paid for it and she said why do you want to know? That's the last we spoke on the phone. Probably won't ever speak again, but it hurts after 13 years together and she's still hiding things from me. BTW, I couldn't care less about how much she paid. I was …

Right here on reddit you can read the sex workers sub. They're all the same man. Doesn't matter where they're from. All the same. For the most part, they find their clients repulsive and disgusting. Just doing it for the money. This isn't my opinion, this is what they post right here. Same for the UK, I'm sure. Why? Because they're women, and, at some level, they're all the same.

I never thought divorce was an option with us. I thought we would be together for the rest of our lives. Both of us had parents who were married and divorced multiple times, and they were still miserable. This is an unpopular opinion, but my life was way better in an unhappy marriage than it is now. Now I'm just miserable.

Thank you. I agree that she never needed me. Was always right, never flexible, always combative. I think it's sad that money was more important than my love, but lesson learned. By the time I get the female nature all figured out, I will be very old or dead. Prior to 1960, the divorce rate in America was 2%! Then it jumped to 50% in the 60s and 70s. And we all know who usually files for divorce. Modern women should look back to the older generations and realize that marriage shouldn't be discard…

She didn't start out that way, but she was always the high earner. I think she lost respect for me along the way. She made $150k and I made $40k. I've never been career driven, more of an artist. We had a very nice lifestyle, but I was content and she was unhappy. I think if the woman is the high earner with a college degree, they file 90% of the time. Divorce was probably inevetible.

Yep, 8 out of 10 women are blowing up their stable lives to search for "happiness." Most divorced men I know were content with their home lives, happiness wasn't even a factor. Go read the divorce sub. It's sickening. There are hundreds of posts like this: "I'm in a stable relationship with my husband of 20 years. We have a beautiful house in a nice neighborhood. Multiple cars, beautiful children, great incomes... But I'm not happy. Should I destroy everything I have to find my happiness?" Alway…

This sounds like something I would have done. Professional? No, but I'm sure you know that now.

My ex-wife was beautiful, kind, sweet and loving. She became angry, hateful, bitter and cold. So fucking cold. She might as well be a stranger, because that's not the person I was in love with.

Brilliant. I tried to take almost nothing because I felt like I failed as a husband. When I realized that she wanted to literally leave me sleeping in my car, I woke up and fought for half of everything. I think she hates me for getting half of the house. Okay, let me just give you the house, and I'll go sleep on the sidewalk bitch.

Yep, blew up our lives without a second thought. We're in our 50's, and we owned a nice house in a beautiful neighborhood. We're both renters now and priced out of this area forever.
