Are you on crack? Charisma is probably the #1 to getting a mate, even more than good looks provided you're not straight up repulsive. I've seen first hand multiple times my fat (300+ lbs) friend (who is a very successful salesman by trade) pull solid 8s and 9s in a matter of minutes cause he's so funny and charming and doesn't give a fuck. Good looks help but I think good looking dudes who are quiet and timid still have a harder time pulling in the long term compared to average /below average loo…

Go start a striking combat sport. Kickboxing, boxing, mma. Stick to it. Try feeling sorry for yourself when you're in the corner of a ring getting the shit beat out of you. Go back and get the shit beat out of you again the next week. And the next. Try that for a year and I guarantee you will feel better about yourself knowing that no matter how weak and bitchy you are, your daily life is voluntary constant physical combat that not many people can willingly put themselves through day in and day out…

I was in a very similar situation and the biggest breakthrough for me was two things : 1) figure out what she wants, not what she says she wants. She bitches non stop about you not doing enough chores? She wants to feel like you're contributing. She wants to know what you're doing when you go out? She wants you to be safe under her wing. Always try to figure out the root emotion and deal with that, I've made my mother happy not doing what she said at all,but treating the emotion itself, you're bot…

I think it also comes down to a risk reward thing at a certain point. If you're making a solid salary the few thousand dollars for a half decent car might be worth the extra time (the most valuable resource) and less stress from not having to deal with shit from public transit or break downs or delays etc...

Also I'd recommend having an activity you look forward to to do immediately once you get up. I usually meditate for about 15 min after I wake up cause I'll forget to do it if I don't do it in the morning and when I have that as a set thing I just get started and after I meditate I'm clear enough to do more stuff

I used to feel that way too. Start small. Don't make yourself get up out of bed right when you wake up,but what I do is immediately grab my phone and browse reddit or whatever to get the fog out of my eyes while I look at something interesting. Give yourself a set amount of time, I usually do like 5-10 minutes on the phone, then you should be more awake so get out of bed then. Its become regular enough for me where now I'd I look at the phone for like a minute I'm ready to get out of bed,and coul…

Seen it a million times, including in my personal life, unless the step father and the mothers child has some sort of magical personality click where they get along perfectly there is always some form of resentment. Mom will always pull "well you're not the parent I am ". Kid will always pull "your not my parent/my real dad so I don't have to listen to you " The step father's authority will always be undermined unless there is a very very traditional setup (which isn't usual for single mom's) wh…

I agree with the general idea but for anything other than a professional level in the lower weight classes it is totally possible to have a great (not amazing) physique from combat sports, especially if you're not competing and just doing it as a hobbyist. A good majority of fighters today strength train and a few notable ones (like George St pierre) actually include some basic bodybuilding work for aesthetics. You won't look totally shredded or have veins everywhere, nor will you be as strong as …

This is something I learned well growing up, having a caring single mother, but one with diagnosed bi polar disorder, a temper, and the emotional aptitude of a five year old. Literally treat them like you would a child. It is that simple. If your 5 year old son or daughter was crying about the monsters under his bed what would you do? You don't try to reason him out of it,he's 5 and he's afraid. Just stay stoic and calm at all costs and give her the appearance that you're in control of the situa…

Also make sure to build up your conditioning slowly, combat sports are rough on the body the first few weeks, add in a lifting or sport session every week till you get to your training frequency. So if you wanna lift 3 days and box 2, start with maybe one lifting day and 2 box, then next week do 2 lifting days then a week or two later add in a third. And you really gotta eat well and sleep well and most importantly, listen to your body,if you feel too run down just skip a day,it takes months to bu…

Id argue with solid judo /bjj base and a bit of strength training a girl could fend off a male that isn't very athletic or 220lb+, long enough to get away, those arts were designed for use against larger and stronger opponents (to a limit)

The majority of our ancestors were relatively small, lean endurance creatures. Building and maintaining alot of muscle is hard as shit, biologically, even in modern places . They would've needed to hunt /eat meat every day which would seem to have been a massive task when done manually.
/r/MGTOW05/10/15 10:38 PM

I def agree that judo and some standing bjj / bjj to get you back to standing could be very very useful but I just think like bang for your buck if you wanna become relatively able to defend yourself in 6-12 months you'd be better off doing other stuff where the learning curve isn't as steep and it's more narrow in focus.
/r/askTRP02/10/15 01:50 AM
1

I Agree, but that's why I suggest defensive wrestling and maybe a few bjj sweeps. What I'm saying is you don't wanna approach a fight like a bjj blue belt and pull guard and go for a triangle from guard in the street on fucking concrete with rocks, glass and his potential buddies around. If you do go down your priority should either be to mount and ground and pound or quickly get up and continue to batter him on the feet, hence the striking training. Plus a few good shots to the face and a bloody…

I'd disagree, imo the best path to quick self defense is boxing + defense wrestling. Of course things change when you get to higher levels and things get more specialized but I've spoken to a few coaches that agree for purposes of less than 2 years boxing +basic wrestling is the way to go. Alot of people think mma or muay thai or bjj would be better but for a BEGINNER boxing makes alot more sense. Having done all of them, boxing gives you much more refinement and skill much quickly since it is a…

MMA or any (full contact) martial art tend to take away from any aesthetic goals you may have since that body type isn't too efficient in a fight and the learning curve is huge. That being said if you're willing to really stick with it its more mentally worthwhile them lifting imo. You push yourself in lifting but it's nothing like being in the corner of a ring, totally exhausted with some dude punching you with 1:00 still left on the clock, it activates your fight or flight and forces you to co…

I think there's an exception when you play the sport. I watch like every ufc event and some boxing matches and almost everyone I know personally that watches ufc stuff frequently is involved in combat sports or was at some point. I mostly box with some bjj but I'm totally awe struck when I watch the high level guys do it, and it gives me ideas on what to do in my workouts and a better understanding of the sport as a whole (in terms of things like tactics, strategy, fight iq etc...) Not sure about…

Theres a proper way to engage affectionately with dogs. Giving a dog a good pet and belly rub and saying "good dog!" after they've behaved well is totally appropriate. Inviting your dog to come jump all over you while getting it overly excited is not. OPs description of the event and the type of person I associate that image with leads me to think it's the latter. Alot of the women with these types of dogs think it's cute when the dog jumps on them or barks at them or gets crazy excited but thes…

Wow, personally attacking confidence and masculinity if his ideas don't agree with yours, there's no group I can think of today that does that. Had a similar situation in the past. Stayed in relationship cause girl was genuinely cool and pleasant to be around, unlimited sex was super convenient and let me focus on other shit and we established sort of a don't ask don't tell policy when it comes to me with side hoes (she does not have the same liberty), where as long as she doesn't have to know or hear about it and I don't leave her for them is ok.

My biggest breakthrough in college was coffee. I used to have the biggest trouble focusing for any length on most school work since I found it dreadfully boring but a big cup of black coffee got me in GO GO GO mode and I could study 6 hours straight focused once I got started. Her judo is top notch and so is her grappling but her striking is pretty atrocious for ufc professional level. Those fresh out of TUF guys that fought recently looked like they had better striking than her (the mountain peak of WMMA) and even they looked like two rabid dogs going at it. Obviously, but I hardly think you'd wanna make an argument about the ineffectiveness of suicide grip while using a 500+ pound bench press as an example. Most guys(pretty much anyone not into powerlifting) aren't going to get near that or care much about having a 500lb bench press as long as they're acceptably strong and look good, so you shouldn't justify your reasoning based on a 0001% demographic. WBW division is pretty much shit besides Ronda but I like watching her because male or female, her grappling skills are elite and slick as fuck. Cardio after weights or at a different time of day. Your body recovers very fast from steady lower intensity cardio so it's fine as long as you don't over do it (1+ hours a day). Be wary that you also have to compensate by eating more if you wanna make progress gaining muscle. HIIT cardio should be treated more like part of a weight training routine,it's usually very taxing on the body and /or a group of body parts so you should keep that down to 3x a week,20 minutes tech session overall till yo…

Been boxing for bout a year, maybe it's mental but I feel like I have extra grace when moving and am overall much more coordinated and smooth in my movements thanks to a shitton of shadow boxing. http://pubs.niaaa.nih.gov/publications/arh25-4/282-287.htm Alcohol lowers testosterone. If you think that two guys who are exactly the same in all other areas but one has very high testosterone and the other has very low testosterone will have the exact same fat gain/loss if they eat the same amount you are retarded. There's a reason 17 year old boys and 60 year old men look different on the same calories a day.

Love me some boxing. It's obviously a very masculine environment but people(mostly mem) give you extra respect when they find out you box seriously, more so than even mma or bjj, probably cause it's just more well known and has a grittier image to it. And nothing is better than being known as the guy who boxes, insta social proof with other guys which carries on to women.

Obviously food is important but if you give a dog food AND act as his pack leader for let's say 5 years, if you give him less food or someone else starts feeding him he will still be very loyal to you. You hear or see those instances when an owner dies and the dog gets all depressed and lays by his grave? The owner is no longer giving food but the dog is still very loyal to him. Engage but keep it light hearted and let nothing get under your skin unless it's a serious insult meant with bad intentions. Alot of guys shoot the shit and rag on each other as a way of bonding, there's always that guy who takes it too far but all you can do is have a fun time and realize no matter how many competitions you lose as long as you stay in your frame solidly they'll forget about it 5 minutes later and move into the next pissing contest.
/r/askTRP13/07/15 11:30 PM

Its not about the food as much as it is their ingrained pack structure. If you're the dogs primary leader and you control and discipline them properly they will do anything for you and put your wellbeing above their own. Someone else can give them as much food as they want but if they view you as their pack leader they are unconditionally loyal

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say that some girls do prefer big and strong with some fat over big and shredded. You'd obviously have to be pretty muscular to compensate for the fat but I wouldn't be so quick to think that you need to be in single digit bf or you're lacking.

As a math major, just dedicate a set amount of time every day to it. Make sure the previous fundamentals are solid but otherwise just keep trying to understand the material. I'd say bjj is probably the best combat sport if your out of shape. Not that it isn't physically intensive because it def is,but it probably has a much bigger technique :strength ratio than other sports, meaning strength matters less if you know what you're doing compared to something like boxing (which I love) but even if you're a solid boxer if you let your cardio slip for a year you're gonna be in trouble if you try to spar.

That's only kind of very ignorant. I agree if your goal is bodybuilding you might do well with some extra assecory work but there's a reason most bodybuilders work alot on compound lifts especially at the beginning, they give you better musculature just in terms of your frame and major muscle groups, they keep everything in proportion so you don't have a chance to fuck it up and they let you neurologicaly recruit more muscle fibers. May I ask why you chose to join the student council? I have the opportunity to join one but I can never justify the "why" to myself, what benefit does it bring you?

I would A&A and then just see how it goes "Oh I'd never go on a date with you,I have standards!" Then meet up and act as if she didn't say that and if there's nothing just make an excuse to ollie outtie. Actions are more important than words, women are notorious for not knowing what they want.

I agree there's alot of fucked up shit they did(although if you take religion out and look at it from a strictly Machiavellian perspective it was pretty smart), but regardless, there is alot of wisdom in the bible, you just have sift through a bit

Mine was as well. Sex the first three times was one of those "when is this gonna end" things although after that was a blast. Same with her bj skills although those got phenominal over 2 months she actually read up on guides and stuff, her bjs were almost preferable to sex(with a condom) cause they were so great.

Oh I mean as a short term problem. Sometimes for a few hours the gf will be mad and instead of talking she'll just do the one word thing and I just act as if she was normal, usually people can't hold up acting mad for too long. It's never been a problem more than a few hours but if it lasted into days I would just make a clean break, there's not much you can do when someone is so immature.

With people like that as long as they're not outright disrespecting you, just ignore it. I always say if someone is acting like a child then treat them like one, if they're throwing little tantrums, let them just don't be phased by it and go about your life as, normal.

I'm in a boxing club and I have the same feeling, that little rush you get when you know you're going to get your ass kicked but you get up and stare down your opponent with a smile is the best thing ever.

That's a negative way of looking at things imo. That's like saying "yeah you could join the army but who are women going to give more attractive, a high ranking officer or the commander in chief?" You can't always be the literal top of every group but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time or even socially dominate the group if you're not physically doing so. And it's not about women for me really, I'd be ok hanging with some alpha guys for the learning experience, much like you'd go to a …

That's not really true. You're right you should be able to do things alone but I have some older men in my life who are very rp thinking and have helped me tremendously in more ways than one, I just feel better being around said people. I'd like to find the equivalent of them, but in my age group.

From female friends I have, it pretty much seems that unless you're male model level good looking, some macho dude with a personality advantage will have a way higher chance of getting with them. I have an uncle who is pretty RP, he grew up very poor and worked his ass off and now lives in a huge house with an aston martin. He's like 5'5(and totally shredded/ripped) but has had no problem with women cause of his behavior. His last wife cheated on him and he immediately divorced her and met a hot…

2pac was such a redpill masculine dude, he's someone I really admire. And he wasn't without his own faults, hell, half his songs are about his personal fears and insecurities and struggles, but he tackles them head on and fights for whatever he believes in without giving a fuck about anyone else.

I think part of TRP is doing whatever YOU want, and the woman will follow. If you wanna go for a picnic in the park, go for it, if you wanna watch a few movies for a day, go for it. I've had personal experience with this with my gf recently who's naturally very submissive(asian) and I get along with great. Pretty much anything I wanna do, she's down for as long as I make it fun. Smoke weed in the park? Down. Watch movies and eat a tub of ice cream(literally did this 2 days ago after/before vigor…

The Prince at it's core is a guide to leadership. It's applicable to alot of things because in most relationships and groups there is a leader and follower(s) as well as romantic relationships. I highly recommend it, it's a quick and easy read but packed with wisdom. To see it's principals at act just look at any major CEO and how they got there. Maybe a little on the extreme side but Steve Jobs was a total Machiavellian leader,he wasn't always nice or "good" but he ALWAYS did what was in the co…

Pseudo-similar situation happened with me and the gf recently. A few weeks ago I was talking to her about an old (female) friend who chatted with me a few times recently, nothing overtly sexual just friendly stuff. Gf quickly got jealous and started getting angry and questioning and shit. Before, I would've gave soliliqoies of the depth of my love and shit but I was like lemme try this. So I basically just laughed and said "relax its not a big deal" and BOOM just like that she was back to normal,…

My current girlfriend fits most of those characteristics; not very feminine looking or acting, actually plays video games and shit, anime, liberal etc.. But at the end of the day she's submissive as fuck, whatever I say goes, I've even talked with her about it and she knows that's how she is and likes when I take charge. Also says it's partially cause she's Japanese and the woman submissive thing is kind of in the culture.

I personally don't agree with "fat shaming" simply because hey if that person likes food more than their health all the power to them, it's their life not mine. That being said I also don't think it should be touted as acceptable and totally OK because alot of problems arise from being a lard ass. I've met cool fat people who basically owned up to themselves and said "im fat because I like eating and I dont like exercising, I have no bone condition or thyroid problem or other bullshit"

drug drəg/Submit noun 1. a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body. Not my definition. Weed is a substance. It has a physiological effect. Therefore it is a drug. Bread does not have direct definite physiological effects, it is just broken down to it's components and that's the end of that.

I smoke and I know this is bullshit. THC is 100% a drug because it is a psychoactive substance that affects your body/brain. That being said the harmfulness of it/beneifts is in debate which is why there's a push for legalization. Opiates also come from a natural plant(poppy), just like cocaine(cocoa leaf) and a large portion of drugs. None of the worst diseases can be treated with weed, its more of a relief for the symptoms aside from the synthesized(not natural) parts of it having some promise…

I don't need it to function, my point was that (unlike some) I'm very functional and coherent on it, simply without the anxiety which was a side effect I noticed after I had been using for some time.
/r/TheRedPill10/07/14 12:31 PM

Totally hear you, I've since stopped using on a regular basis, usually once every two weeks or so. The thing I noticed was that I wasn't using it to treat anxiety, and I never had terrible anxiety to begin with, I just saw that it wiped away any social anxiety I had which was something I tried/am trying to obtain while sober. Agree with you on the last part, doing that shit too often and time just flies by with nothing done.
/r/TheRedPill09/07/14 11:46 PM

I understand the feeling, but personally the reason I was so fond of it was that it seemed to effect me less than my friends. I could still function and do work on it. Whenever I was high I still kept healthy habits, groomed, slept, and did the chores I had to. Another main thing that led to a turnoff was the building of tolerance to it, and not the hi, but the post hi feeling of relaxed tiredness made it harder to keep up with productive, physically tiring habits.

Oh very much agreed, but I didn't know about TRP then and it wasn't my primary focus. The weed smoking made me realize how much people's perception of you depends on how you act and if you act with hesitation and anxiety, and it wasn't like drinking where you feel super confident for a night and then like shit the next day, the attitude from smoking actually stayed after I was sober.
