Well it seems it would be better to have a recording that proves your innocence than not have it. For example a court might not view it, but you could show it to your family/friends/work at least so they don't abandon you over a false allegation. You'd have to Google the company name, but I think the treatment is just taking two different antiviral tablets for a few months then you're good.
