You're disciplined when you're up at midnight working your six-figure job and when you still wake up to hit the gym tomorrow. Millions of people do that. I bet only a small portion of them do the two things I mentioned (and they were examples, after all). But let's not conflate putting your phone away with real discipline. If you own it, people will respect that. Better to do that and have reasons why you love it vs. seeming insecure about it. That being said, probably wouldn't be the first thing I'd bring up on a date unless she asks.

Cold, hard truth answer: The only degree that's guaranteed to be worth something forever is computer science. Why does forever matter? We're all only going to be here for the next 50-100 years. Apart from CS, any type of engineering is fine.
