I’m in Kentucky it’s a default joint custody state, I highly doubt she’ll find a wealthy dude out here.

Divorce is rough man, it’s hard to say if that’s what’s best for you. If you feel like your relationship is unrepairable then yes it’s better it’s hard when you have kids and you want to be around them all the time. If it’s just something conflicting, go to marriage counseling and give yourself time to make your relationship better.

I’ve already served her. I checked my credit report, no new accounts in my name unless she co-signed me on one. She’s probably going to try and make me pay for her lawyer too

It’s a divorce hearing for temporary custody right now. Hopefully the judge will see how manipulative she is

Damn man that blows, how long were you guys married? Did you have any kids? We were only married 2 years, so hopefully I won’t have to pay alimony. Or it’ll only be temporary. My issues is custody, I want joint and she’s trying anything to ruin my life and get full custody. Then she’ll probably make me pay child support out of the ass. She could’ve been agreeable, but fuck no. Women are the worst. I’m never ever getting married again. It’s such bullshit

Honestly it wouldn’t be such a big deal if the school system wasn’t awful and it’s one of the worst counties in the nation for the opioid epidemic. She doesn’t have childcare out there, a place to live, her job is still pending. Her income sucks, she has no health insurance, she always ask for my family’s help anytime something goes wrong. It just doesn’t feel safe.

I’m just worried the court will let her move, joint custody won’t work when he’s school aged.

I have mounds of text and pictures. Picture of him with my family, pictures of her saying she’s off her meds, etc. I’m just afraid she’ll falsely accuse me of domestic violence or the judge will rule on her favor because she’s a woman. I picked a female lawyer. She seems to be very good. But she’s a busy woman. I’m stressed but prepared.

I already applied for a temporary custody order, before she found a lawyer. Her current job is a 37 minute commute, her new job would be 1 hr and 16 minutes. My drive from where I’m currently living is 1 hr and 20min (I’m staying with my mother) from our house it would be 47 min. She’s trying to enroll him in first steps in her hometown because he has delayed speech, and her mom wants to label him “autistic.” I currently have a pediatrician appointment set up for him but she’s trying to say it’s…

If she were to accept the job she would move to her hometown which would effect custody. She wants to enroll him in school there. Her current job is in Lexington

Hey, I have a question for you. My date got postponed to November 16th, she has a job pending in her home county. (The whole reason we’re going to court), she’s trying to accept a job in her hometown that’s 2hrs away it’ll effect custody. Is she legally allowed to accept the job before the court date

My lawyer seems to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I call her all the time and update her. I filed for temporary custody last week because I thought she was going to try and move because she’s purposely not working and she’s saying she can’t support herself

Welcome to the club buddy, you got yourself a “parasite” they latch on to the host and suck all the life out of you. Once you’re so beaten down, they find a new host to latch on to because they have no use for you anyone. They take everything and leave you to die. Find yourself an attorney, don’t let her ruin your life.

I know it’s still fresh and I’m trying to keep ahold of myself. She wants to manipulate me, attention seeking behavior. She keeps threatening to divorce me, I’m over it. I’ll speak to my lawyer, we agreed on uncontested but if she’s moving that far away I’ll have to take her to court. For the sake of my son, I don’t want him around that drama all his life. I paid everything during our marriage, I supported her and she just wants to wreck a family for her selfish actions. She has no childcare, no…
