I've experienced basically the exact same things with cod/league/wow/magic guys! Edit: Also have had the derisive "You only play Animal Crossing anyway" kind of comments. Which, A. Not true, and B. Even if it was true, who cares? There's nothing wrong with Animal Crossing! Agh.

It's so incredibly frustrating how normalized porn has become. Like, you're the weirdo if you're against it. What??

I SAW THAT AND I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING. WHAT?? WHERE DID HE GET IT?? Sorry for caps I just could not believe what I was reading.

I agree completely. They get so used to the endless supply of porn on the internet, that their mind becomes damaged and they think they NEED to be with one of every "type" like ice cream flavors. Different races, different body types, different kinks. 🤢 It's not even about the person. The connection. The relationship. Completely ruined by porn.

Guys who care TOO much about "their" sports team. To the extent of yelling at the TV/radio over it/most of their wardrobe is xyz team wear. 😬

When women are into stuff like makeup or fashion we're labeled as superficial and when we like gaming or sports we're trying to "not be like other girls" in their eyes and aren't taken seriously. Such bs Seriously. It's so frustrating.

So true. On the flipside, if you happen to have interests that aren't considered traditionally feminine, they act like they don't believe you/you're only pretending to be into it for attention. The amount of men I've interacted with who, when they find out I like to play video games in my spare time, react with some variation of "girls don't like video games!" or immediately start quizzing me to make sure I'm not faking it. 🤢🤢🤢 I mean, thanks for letting me know to never interact with you again,…

My ex mentioned going to vegas for his best friend's bachelor party. I mentioned him going to a strip club was a deal breaker for me, and he said (kind of in an unconvincing/mumbly way) that he'd stay behind at the hotel. He brought it up again later (probably after discussing it with someone) saying I was being controlling and his buddy was only getting married once and I needed to loosen up. When I asked if he was okay with me going to a (male) strip club, he of course kept saying "that's diff…

Oh, boy. Where do I even start? Pornsick, into weird shit, would pressure me to try things I didn't want to try, fetishized various races of women Alcoholic Only ate junk food, hated my healthy cooking Video game addict: he would SCREAM at his games and sit there like a zombie for hours Expected everything to be 50/50 even though he made over double what I made at the time, but all of the housework was my job of course Extremely unsupportive: he would pretend I didn't exist if I was upset over a…

My ex did something like this. I was the Maid of Honor at my BEST FRIEND's wedding. A year ahead, he said he'd go. He picked his meal. Etc. A month before, "yep, I'll go." A week before, a day before. THE DAY OF, while I'm getting my hair done at her house, he texts me that he's going to his friend's house to watch "the game". I was absolutely furious, but I refused to show it. This day was about her, not me. So I lied. I told her he wasn't feeling well. And that was that. I was so disappointed.…

Does anyone have any tips for keeping my place clean? After work I'm drained and exhausted, so I put cleaning off for the weekend. When the weekend rolls around, I want to relax or socialize so I end up not cleaning. 😬 It piles up to the point of being overwhelming. Help? Edit: I DO keep up with dishes (I wash them as I go) and laundry (every weekend routine).

Kind of related, but this has been on my mind lately too. SO MANY MEN will hurl the insults "c*ck s*cker" or "s*ck my d*ck" etc at each other, and then they turn around and expect us to do those things?! Saying it's not insulting? It's different?! HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?!

My ex would do this. Using "skinny" as an insult describing me (while "casually mentioning" the "thicc" women he sees at the gym) but then backpedalling, saying "people LIKE skinny, it's a good thing". People. Not you. Got it. 🤢 He'd probably "tease" me about gaining weight if I wasn't "skinny". smh Telling me I'm "too polite" when on the phone/interacting with retail employees/waitresses/etc so I sound "childish". What?

My ex dumped me after we spent half our lives together because he SUDDENLY realized he DESPERATELY wanted children. I'm CF. Of course he said the phrase "to carry on his legacy". Barf. What legacy? He has no interesting hobbies, no practical skills, unremarkable genes, a mediocre job, 0 patience, and 0 empathy. He's going to be a terrible father. He was in a new relationship in just a couple of weeks. I can't believe I wasted so much time with someone who cared so little about me.

Yeah. Pornsick ex dumped me out of a ltr. One of the "reasons" was that he decided to prioritize getting with people of 2 specific races (which I am neither) over our life together. Yeah, good luck with that. 🙄 I hope he's severely disappointed when 0 people behave like his pornstars.

This is a problem for me, because I like anime. Disclaimer: Anime has many different genres, so I tend to watch ones aimed at women rather than men. I've just been trying to keep the anime hobby separate from my "must share with SO" hobbies. Though it would be nice to watch them together.

I struggle with this. I was dealing with constant anxiety for YEARS, so I don't know if my anxiety/intuition is even accurate anymore or if it's always running full steam. I'm not sure how to "fix" my anxiety/intuition to be accurate. It seems like I'm always anxious about everything (but I did just get out of a ltr with someone who stressed me quite a bit).

This is going to be a huge struggle for me. I love video games. I grew up playing them with my siblings. Obviously I play in moderation, but it seems so difficult to find men who play who aren't completely OBSESSED.

I guess it's in my head because my ex said I was too immature. It shouldn't be in my head, though, because he was definitely immature himself & I think the reason he called me that was partially due to how sweet I am, that I don't want kids (which he knew!), and that I am absolutely not into degrading s*x (called me a "prude", too).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/12/20 04:39 AM
15

Even though I have a meanish sense of humor, my personality is largely sweet and silly. A lot of people describe me as "sweet and innocent", and I can't help but think it's an insult. Does this mean I'm immature? Or that I seem immature? For the record, I'm not innocent. I'm just asexual and childfree.

Early 30s, recently dumped by the man I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with. This is depressing as hell. Is there no one left for me? Should I not even try?

So, most people on here say there should be plans for marriage by the 1 year mark, right? I don't know how to trust someone in that short of a time period. (Though I admit that I do have trust issues from being dumped after 10+ years.)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/12/20 03:12 PM
5

Yeah, I agree with you. I knew my ex played video games (I do, too!), but I didn't know HOW MUCH he played them until we moved in together. He was OBSESSIVE to the point I'd get ignored or brushed off all night in favor of his current game. I also would not have known that he SCREAMS and swears at his games in this awful high-pitched rage. Not that I'm against swearing, but it's pretty unnecessary to constantly call people playing female characters c*nts.

I have another question! My favorite part of relationships are where you spend quiet evenings together at home eating dinner, watching movies, etc. "How long" should you wait for this sort of relationship according to FDS? I know it sounds low effort, but I just love cuddling up on the couch.
