This thread just shows the women can be as abusive as men. I can't even imagine if the genders were reversed here.

Yeah, it's so sad that this is not considered sexual assault when it is.

I think she's talking the time about when she was a girl. For context, somebody asked her how did she know she wanted to be a dominatrix.
/r/MensRights08/07/25 09:18 AM

Ah, I see. Sadly, this is not just by Indian/Asian creators. This is how the world minimizes abuse of men.

Did you read the tweet? I know it's normal in those communities but she's talking about a situation where she kicked boys in the balls and stole their lunch money, presumably non-consensually. That's abuse and assault (technically sexual assault too but law does not consider that) There are many findommes who financially abuse men without any care for them as the post by TheTinMen points out. People are quick to point out when women are being abused in these communities but nobody cares about me…

Of course, the usual harridans on the UK subs have jumped on it as evidence of how awful men are, despite it meaning nothing at all. That's how I got to know about this.

Oh, for sure. And notice how they ask "number of time" something has happened? In Sweden, even revictimization is counted as a seperate crime. I'm pretty sure they counted that here too, thus inflating the stats.

So if it continues after the person says they are uncomfortable, it's sexual, even if the preparator is not intending it to be. That has nothing to do with a "narrative" of victimhood. You are just playing dumb here. It has everything to do with the narrative of victimhood. There has been a long line of advocacy by feminists shouting at the top of their lungs that any non-consensual contact with a woman is a sexual offense. The same has not happened to men. There is rarely any talk of male victi…

That's how it works for female victims too. Women are told they should just take harassment as a complement or they perpetrator actions are dismissed as a misunderstanding, or "boys being boys". Prior to Metoo? Sure. But at this point, this rarely happens. MeToo has changed a lot of things. Using a some of personal anecdotes about people "calling out" some behavior doesn't mean it's not socially acceptable. If it wasn't socially acceptable people wouldn't have to call anything out. Women just wo…

Secound, women are sexually harassed online every day and it's completely acceptable. It happens but it's not acceptable to harass women and men are called out for that behaviour and rightfully so. On the other hand, men's harassment is mostly seen as acceptable. If it's by women, it's seen as something that he should "enjoy". If it's by other men, it's dismissed as "horseplay".

Where are men supposed to go then? Is it everywhere in France or just here?

"It's more important to be morally correct than factually accurate." - AOC She said that? When?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/06/25 04:21 AM

Whether it's sexual or not depends entirely on the circumstances and the perception of the victim. The perception of victim changes with the narrative of victimhood. If men are taught their identity as a victim matters seperate from the female victims, they will be more inclined to disclose it.

Calling someone an incel is not sexual harassment/assault but kicking somebody in the balls is surely sexual harassment/assault.

When there will be enough reports, they'll be forced to remove it. A femcel sub has recently been banned. That's the thing, do not engage. Report everytime you see such content. Don't go out on a hunt though. That will just give more engagement.

Equating women's value with their ability to provide sex/reproduction is misogyny. Agreed, it's misandry too (the two usually go hand in hand), because it portrays men as sex-crazed beasts. But I don't agree with your generalization that 'the majority of people on r/mensrights seemingly hate women.' That's just blatant cherry-picking. Oh, and btw, your parrots are cute.

I wanted to correct the women in the comments saying "99% of rapists are men". But, I stopped myself. Not because I agreed with them but because I know that they are not going to listen. I'm tired of debating these people. Nowadays, I just report and move on.

people also have the same reaction when it is a woman being assaulted I mean he's not wrong here. There have been times where people's knne-jerk reaction to an allegation is saying "Fake". Although I support Men's Rights, I have seen women being more compassionate to male victims than men. So, while the creator might not be a good guy but yeah, I've noticed this thing too though I'm sure there are some women who refuse to believe men but I've seen that more from men.

again men is more common than women I don't have stats for each and every country but here in US, most of the perpetrators of sexual violence against men are women, according to CDC NISVS 2016/17. Only rape against men has more male perpetrators than female but that's because it's defined like this by CDC: Among men, rape includes oral or anal penetration by a male using his penis. It also includes anal penetration by a male or female using their fingers or an object. https://www.cdc.gov/nisvs/d…

I mean I know MensLib speaks on the male issues from a feminist standpoint but still it does address some issues that men face. Yeah, I was asking how do you feel about this post in general. I do find this convo helpful but it's not something that I would post on a "male advocacy" subreddit, given the main purpose of this sub is to help men who have been victimized. I just found it irrelevant to the sub's context.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/04/25 08:19 AM

Yeah, this is what I found missing heavily in this. Obviously, I welcome this as there is a dire need to address issues with understanding consent. But, this is a one sided discussion and does not capture every experience. And it's not just men's experience, it also does not capture experiences of women whose perps were female.

Also, if you visit these relationships/marriage advice, you can clearly see that people are so quick to jump to conclusions about a man they nothing about. It so quickly turns into "he is a red flag!", "he is abusive!", "he is not respecting your boundaries!", "he is coercive!" blah blah blah.

Yeah, well this case might be different. The reason why I think they are saying this is because men might not wanna get labeled as a rapist/sexually coercive. Especially since discussions around consent are common nowadays. So, answering a question regarding the violation of consent might be hard for men but easy for women, since women are not naturally assumed to be predators. But, here comes the problem. I wanna know something. I assume you're a woman. Do women have the pressure regarding the consent thing? Cause women might not have Social Desirabilty Bias, but they might be less likely to acknowledge consent violations given how these things are addressed in public discourse. Yes. Statistically. Biologically. Socially. Men are more capable (and more likely) to commit serious violence. The classic "its by other men argument". Really, you're insufferable. As u/Present_League9106 said, most of those men that tend to die at the hands of other men are mostly poor and resortin…

You say the “obvious conclusion” is that services for men would reduce female deaths. That’s… not how that works. Women aren’t killing their partners in droves because they lack shelters they’re dying because men are killing them. And why's that? From what I remember, men were the majority of victims. If men were exclusively targeting women, then technically they would have been the overwhelming victims. But they're not. Even your 34% figure is of a smaller percentage of the total number of homi…

Yes, 6% of murdered men were killed by partners. But 34% of murdered women were. See the difference? It’s not about raw numbers, it’s about proportion and risk. If you’re a woman and you’re murdered, there’s a 1 in 3 chance it was your partner. If you’re a man, it’s 1 in 17. (Gasp! Not the same thing.) I know it's not the same thing. But, quantity is not quality Except the fact that THEY ARE PEER REVIEWED. That says enough about their quality. It’s a compilation of studies, not original research So what? Ever heard of a meta-study? Dr. Don Dutton, who has been criticised for downplaying male-perpetrated violence and pushing the “women hit too!” narrative with all the subtlety of a Daily Mail headline First of all, he's a respected researcher. women are capable of violence and abuse that would be intimidating and dangerous towards men I know. I'm just saying this is not the right data, or at least not the way it's being presented. at least as often as men are Yeah, well I don't think so. Severity is always higher for women than men, no matter what. So, a better point would be about how people should not be dismissive about male victims based on that. Well, yes and no. While the study isn't exactly bad, it isn't good either. Domestic violence is not mild to moderate violence only. Serious and sexual violence plays a huge part in it. So, it entirely defeats the argument when we use this study. Especially, when we have PASK covering all the possible violence in it.

this is how the patriarchy really affects men. they cant speak up about their experiences without other men being very insensitive.. ive seen it myself firsthand a LOT. Alright, I can agree it's patriarchy. Yeah, there's a reason for that. Women have children easily available to them cause people are more likely to trust them. On the other hand, people are less likely to trust men in person, so predatory men use these things to prey upon victims. Also, the studies I quoted are also probably underreports from men. Widom and Morris (1997) found men were much more reluctant to label child sexual experiences as ‘abuse’ than women (16% compared with 64%). Ahola (2012) says that over increasing time, wit…

Everyday there is a news of a female teacher abusing a child, some have even done it with the help of other children. So should we be wary of every female teacher we come across? Of course not. As TheTinMen said, you have every right to be angry at the man/men who have harmed you, but nothing gives you the right to hate All Men. That's the problem. And I don't understand, who is enabling this? Did I or anyone else say those people are right? Were we in the group chat? Did we campaign for those p…

Oh, the Oppression. Yeah, right men were literally fighting and dying in wars but they were never oppressed, right? It was not like they were punished for being victims of Domestic Violence, right? https://www.purplemotes.net/2013/01/27/charivari-sex-inequality/ And yeah, the fact that men still can't be counted as rape victims of females in some countries like UK is not oppression, right?

Do you know what the track record says, idiot? Amber WAS the abuser. In 2009 Amber was arrested for physically assaulting her then girlfriend. 🤡 In fact, all exes said that Depp was never abusive towards them. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/johnny-exes-said-amber-abuse-183437023.html

My answer does not indicate anything, it's all your projections. Already told you, you're free to choose the bear. I don't have any distrust of men, my gf/wife is free to be friends with any man or any woman for that matter. And you're such an illiterate clown that you did not even bother to check what my point was. It was about collective blaming.

I'm curious, are you married?
/r/MensRights14/03/25 02:09 PM

I don't understand why people assume automatic consent for men? like what?
/r/MensRights14/03/25 02:04 PM
3

Yeah, that's bad. Those were clear violations of consent. Also, this thing about how most guys wish they got attention from girls is so stupid. I've seen most guys mind their business and not give a damn about the hottest chicks. This is a very inaccurate stereotype for men pushed by other men.
/r/MensRights14/03/25 02:02 PM

Man, that's fucking disgusting. How the fuck can somebody think of that? I can't even imagine your situation. So sorry that happened to you and your brother.

It could be a woman's husband, father, boyfriend, brother, friend, acquaintance etc." I kid you not, this was a post on r/Feminism. Yep, I agree. Tbh, now I just wonder how many misandrists are there? How many of these people are brainwashed to hate us? Like I can't sleep at nights cause I keep thinking that somebody out there is suffering cause he's a man. And don't get me wrong, I also think this about women who are suffering. But yeah, it's literally horrifying to me. Men need to take action or we'll become subordinates of these misandrists. Boils my blood. No, cause they were ridiculed other ways. Like how 50 Cent mocked Terry Crews. Also, how many victims of women did we see? Two or three at best? One was given hush money by his abuser and another one was silenced by the professors who were overwhelmingly in support of his abuser. And you saying women were silenced is totally inaccurate. Yes, there was a pushback against it, but most of the people were in support of that.

The whole podcast is idiotic. Who cares about what they say? Those people are incapable of even having a rational discussion. Hmm, probably. Morality is complicated, so idk.
/r/MensRights09/03/25 08:40 PM

No, that's what they are implying. They want to say men are protecting them from other men, so men=bad. And, since according to them men are using protection as a tradeoff for being submissive to them, rather than from empathy. So, again men=bad. And then some women are arguing that they were never protected by men and rather women stood up for them.
/r/MensRights09/03/25 08:06 PM
3

moreso it's a data point which other data points agree or disagree with based on their own studies Nope. Most of these studies use falsely proven cases as evidence of how many cases are false. But by that same measure, only a tiny amount of cases are true. Okay, I can see you're not getting my point. I'm not saying that exploitation andabuse is not an issue in porn. Obviously, it is. But to say all of it is bad is bit of a stretch.
/r/MensRights09/03/25 07:42 PM
7

there's no reason to assume that the population averages are particularly far off from that There's every reason to assume that. 120 is not a big enough sample size to predict anything. I suppose you know the Kanin study. It showed almost 40% of rape cases are false, but do you know why it was dismissed? Due to a sample size of near 100.
/r/MensRights09/03/25 07:20 PM
10

120 is a fine sample size; nobody is saying that the numbers will scale exactly to the entire populace, but that's the point of taking a sample No, 120 is very small sample size to make predictions based on that.
/r/MensRights09/03/25 07:08 PM
1

are these numbers not concerning to you These numbers can very well be manipulated, Like these: 51% had been choked during the production 33% had been tortured during the production This is just normal practice in porn scenes. Most porn companies give consent forms to the performers where they agree to do these scenes. These people try to build a narrative upon these flawed studies.
/r/MensRights09/03/25 06:47 PM
16

They try to cite these stats as an example of how they're factually correct, but they fail to recognise that 120 women are not representative of entire population of tens of thousands of porn performers worldwide. 84% had PTSD 65% was raped when filmed for porn 69% had attempted at least one Suicide attempt 77% was exploited for the first time in porn as children 88% was subjected to sexual assault as children 96% was subjected to assault/abuse as children 51% had been choked during the producti…

Exactly. I saw a girl's comment who was not into pegging, but she was using it to "silence" men who dared to ask her for anal. I mean, how hard is it to say no?
/r/MensRights09/03/25 01:59 PM
4

No, it's not. If she does not want to receive it, she can easily deny it. But she doesn't. Rather, she is using that to control him into giving what she wants. That's the problem. If you want a better explanation of my point, see u/The_rain5 comment.
/r/MensRights09/03/25 01:53 PM
21

Why is it unfair to say that she expects you to do for her what you expect her to do for you If she does not want it, she can refuse. This is not trading. Either you want it or you don't. The problem is not expectation, the problem is that both of them want to try anal, but only she wants to try pegging. He is not down to try it. That's called coercion. Comparing numbers for pegging and anal doesn't make sense because obviously using fake penises is less common when a real one is available. Then…

I agree to that. But I think you're confusing something. NISVS did not ask frequency of victimization, rather it asked that if the person experienced victimization ever in their life. Since you're aware that you have been victimized at least once, your victimization would be counted. This is different from a man who doesn't even know he has been victimized.
/r/MensRights08/03/25 08:43 AM

Agreed. The problem is there's no left nowadays. Left has completely been engulfed by wokeist ideologies and identity politics, which rather than focusing on the core problems, makes an absolute mockery of them in the eyes of general public. Warren Farell, the man who kickstarted it all. Karen Straughan was great too. Although, she is still active, she is not doing that much. You might see her on HoneyBadger occasionally. Wrong, again, you can check the perpetrators, it's mostly women. Most male made to penetrate victims (69.6%) reported only female perpetrators. Most male victims of sexual coercion (71.7%) reported that their perpetrators were female only. Nearly half of male victims (47.5%) of unwanted sexual contact reported that their perpetrators were female only and 14.3% reported both male and female perpetrators. https://www.cdc.gov/nisvs/documentation/nisvsReportonSexualViolence.pdf

What Vance and others like him are pushing is often referred to as toxic masculinity. It’s a model that says the only way to be a “real man” is to dominate others, to suppress vulnerability and to never, under any circumstances, admit fault. It equates masculinity with power over people, rather than power with them. Lol. I don't care about Vance but to all the people here, has anybody ever seen women admitting their faults? Has anybody ever seen women not exercising their power over men, by any …

This includes women who worry just occasionally, yet not frequently. 29% of women and 33% of women rarely and never worried about being raped, respectively, which ultimately leads to 62% rarely or never worrying. Okay, so this is a very tricky topic. First of all, while all the studies examine underreporting to police. None of them tackle the issue that men might underreport even on anonymous studies/surveys using Gender Neutral measures and Behaviourally Specific Questions(BSQs) compared to women. This needs to be researched further. Plus, there is a lack of awareness among men that might lead them to forget events of victimization. They might be less likely to admit it even when presented with BSQs. Th…

Yes, a 5% difference is not much. But that difference is only between a study focusing on men solely vs a study which found rates for both men and women. Also, I'd like to correct a previous error, it's not 5-20%, it's actually more about 5-30%, if we use the same definitions for men and women.

Somebody made an amazing answer to this: TLDR: in a random encounter between a woman and a stranger in the USA, about 0.00000016% end in murder and around 0.00018% end in rape, based on the simple model presented below. The assumptions behind these numbers are WILDLY naive (since encounters and men are not randomly distributed), but even changing assumptions to make attacks 1000x more likely still suggests a 'random' man is a fairly safe proposition (better than 99.99% change to 'escape' unharme…

No, actually. Ahola (2012) gives a reason why 12-month data seems to deviate from lifetime data. Ahola says that over increasing time, witnesses judge female perpetrators less harshly than male perpetrators. This effect increases over time. “The finding is in line with the theory mentioned in the Introduction, fuzzy-trace theory, according to which people, with decreasing memory, tend to rely on the stereotypical picture they have.” The relevant stereotype being women commit less crime than men,…

Their logic is that most businesses are owned by the "oppressive gender", thus it's important to cherish and recognize those owned by the "oppressed" ones. This is inaccurate as 42% of all U.S. businesses are owned by women. Women-owned businesses have grown 114% in the last two decades. About half of all startups in the U.S. are founded by women. One-third of businesses worldwide are owned by women. https://luisazhou.com/blog/women-in-business-statistics/

Child neglect is an act of caregivers (e.g., parents) that results in depriving a child of their basic needs, such as the failure to provide adequate supervision, health care, clothing, or housing, as well as other physical, emotional, social, educational, and safety needs. Most of these things were provided by the father, with some exceptions. Rest of the things were done by the mother. Where's the neglect here? Uneven, along the gender axis: 81 women and 23 men is assymetrical as fuck. The men by themselves do not even constitute the minimum recommended sample size of 30! /r/MensRights08/01/25 04:11 PM

Laughably small : 104 people is NOT a robust sample size. You need much larger sample size to be able to use your findings to identify actual real world patterns and to be able to confirm them. This is by an academic u/Puzzleheaded_Pea_889 regarding this issue with samples: There is no universal correct number of samples. Women can leverage social pressure by crying and acting like the victim, but it's not like men have no social leverage at all. I agree. It's also just mechanically easier to penatrate an unwilling victim than to be penetrated by one. The 12 month numbers are almost the same and in fact, showed a slight decrease which was possibly due to the low response rates. (average 1.5% for 2010-12, 0.7% for 2015 and 1.3% for 2016/17). Yeah, that's what I thought. One more thing that was not consistent with their results was that Accounting for both false negatives and false positives, men’s overall SV perpetration rate would stay the same and women’s would decrease by 6.5% (from 54.84% to 48.39%). That's amazing work! Hope UN would be considerate towards men's issues! But I think you should include the reason for writing this report as u/SuspiciousVoid said. You should also point toward the failures of "New Zealand Human Rights Commission" to help strengthen your argument.

Your logic is weird. I often use males and men interchangeably. It does not make them beneath anyone. It's a scientific term often used in research on humans. So, idk why you take an issue with it? Also, I have never seen manosphere people using 'female', in fact they generally use women.

And finally some multi-country studies: According to 2007 study by Murray Straus conducted in 32 countries around the world, higher percentage of female students admitted committing violence (both minor and severe) against their male partners than other way round. There is no way to calculate the percentage of rapists by gender based on this data. You would have to assume nobody has been raped by multiple people over their lifetime and that no rapist has raped multiple victims. Both are obviously not true. I agree. It’s also a bit disingenuous to compare the past year data without acknowledging lifetime data. The relative victimization rate is closer in past year than lifetime, which indicates a trend difference in the age of victimization. I don't think …

I guarantee you, the moment OP posts this on a respected academic sub, he would start getting huge amounts of dislikes. One of our members u/Oncefa2 posted some papers exposing the feminist lies regarding DV and as expected, he started getting hate in the comments. It's not worth looking. But I deem this info useful as it shows how much of the data has CDC kept hidden from us. One more question, did the 2012 report have no. of female perpetrators of MTP for the previous 12-months?
/r/MensRights30/12/24 04:58 AM

I did make the list in the last summary. So, I'm not upset about that, but your picking of the top posts is so fucking random, it's not even worth paying attention to.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/12/24 04:43 AM

One more point I recently became aware of was that no. of female perpetrators of made to penetrate increases in 12 months as is clear from the NISVS 2016/17 study. Although that study had lower response rates and thus having more self-selection bias, it still showed a 83% in the last 12 months compared to 69% in their lifetime. Now imagine what would happen in a study with higher response rates such as NISVS 2010,2011,2012 studies, even though it's still low in that.
/r/MensRights30/12/24 04:41 AM

Yes, they are right are about that. It can't be concluded from the data since the data is not representative in the case of perpetrator sample.

u/Trillias and u/Vegetable_Ad1732 already made some responses on the MRA sub. You can check that out. The logic here is both sound and frail at the same time, since CDC has hidden much of the data from us. It was not at all written in good faith. and why? Why not? CDC is repeatedly quoted by MRA's and LWMA's. We need some strong arguments to support our assertions.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/12/24 04:18 PM
1

Yeah. But it still means that those 119 women made atleast one accusation.
/r/MensRights29/12/24 04:12 PM

First of all, the 2012 (~40,000 respondents, report made in 2017) data year is not the last study available--there are two from 2015 (~10,000 respondents, report made in 2018) and 2016/2017 (~30,000 respondents, report made in 2022) data years. Yes, but the rates remained consistent throughout 2010-2012 for the made to penetrate data of 12 months. So, you can't discredit them with just two studies in which one of them (the 2015 one) actually has just a little variation from 50/50 to 60/40. In th…

The keyword here is another. From what I can see, 18 women had admitted explicitly to making those false claims and while the 101 women did not admit it, they did admit it implicitly on the survey (I presume) and were willing to do it again. So, in total 119 women (46%) admitted to making false accusations on the survey, implicitly or explicitly. This percentage is consistent with all the other studies by Kanin and others. Although, it would be too quick to judge as we would need a nationally re…

I still think that while it might technically be incorrect to draw any conclusions regarding how many perpetrators were female vs male with the data, it's pretty safe to assume that women were responsible for about half of all rapes. This is true. One NCVS report also showed the same thing and it does not even count made to penetrate. I mean, unless we are to assume that 80% of perpetrators were women in the lifetime figures when men seemed to heavily underreport victimization, and then in the p…
/r/MensRights28/12/24 03:50 PM

The figure in the CDC report about perpetrators against male victims is that 79% of male victims reported ONLY female perpetrators. This does not mean that 21% reported ONLY male perpetrators. More likely, there's a broad portion of that 21% that reported BOTH male and female perpetrators. That's a good point.
/r/MensRights28/12/24 03:43 PM
1

I think it's safe to assume that based on the CDC report, the number of female rapists is closer to 40% than it is to 5% or 10%. It could very easily be even greater than 40%. Other studies also show the same results that around 40something% of the rapists are females.
/r/MensRights28/12/24 03:28 PM

1 ambitious woman could be doing the work of hundreds of male rapists, or the other way around. I would say it's the other way around, since more male rapists are recidivists than female rapists, even if we account for overreporting.

I never said it's more than females. I said there is gender parity in victimization meaning the rates are roughly equal. References have been provided. But, regardless here are some more: For DV: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11584793/ https://domesticviolenceresearch.org/domestic-violence-facts-and-statistics-at-a-glance/ For Rape: 43% of men have been sexually assaulted by the time they reach college age, 95% by women. 42.6% of women have admitted to sexual aggression or coercion towards men

You know what? I'm just so confused in this case. In this case, both sides seem to lying and speaking truth at the same time. On one hand, Lively acts like a arrogant, rude and mean girl. She was getting backlash a few months ago due to her 'tone deaf' promotion strategy for this film. So, it could be possible that she falsely accused him to gain feminists' sympathy. And after the allegations, many celebs did come in her support, including Amber Heard. https://betches.com/blake-lively-justin-bal…

Everyone there just seemed lonely and would cope with it by overindulging in things that would normally attract women like flashy cars, travel, expensive clothing, money, etc. See, that's RedPill psychology. I think the rise of these RedPill youtubers was the reason of this mentality. But MGTOW wasn't just limited to the sub. They were almost completely correct on the behavior of modern women, don't get me wrong, but their solutions to it were really just not very good either. I don't believe we…

Reading thier distorted views on the world in an echo chamber was damaging. Distorted views could be due to lack of empathy for them which ultimately is due to feminism.

My point is you say it's about focusing on one's self, which is exactly how feminism phrases itself, it's about equality Feminism has done damage in real life to men, we have proof of that. But there is no proof of MGTOW doing something wrong to women, or men for that matter. but these days both are filled with hatred of the opposite gender. Yeah, that's true. It had it's downsides. But we can make it a better community, if we disseminate the right message.

One more paper I wanted to ask you about was this: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/00224499.2024.2322591 This paper again repeats the same things that men’s SV perpetration was likely underestimated, whereas women’s perpetration was overestimated and included reports of victimization, acquiescence, and instances in which they had not intended to manipulate. They also say that the paper you mentioned was speculating wrong.

A study on youth sexual aggression by Ybarra et al. (2016) found that a male victimization rate of 8.3% contrasted with a female perpetration rate of 1.6%. Gender differences in scale interpretations and validity are also likely. Indeed, most research validating the SES has been done with men (this and this). It is also likely that women and men’s SV perpetration is qualitatively different and, therefore, feasible that scales like the SES-SFP are missing some of women’s SV perpetration (indicati…

If you trust the NiSVS then that should be able to give you reliable lifetime stats, right? As a general rule, lifetime stats are less reliable than 12-month stats. And due to men underreporting such instances, it becomes even more unreliable. Depends entirely if people understood the question. The survey is a long list of “have you ever?”. One of those questions could be misread as “have you ever had drunk sex?”. Could be. That's a hypothetical. Can you show me any questions that risk being mis…

You deleted your previous comments. Anyways, here's my reponse: The NIVS study also cites 1 in 4 women being raped in a lifetime. So either you trust the study or you don’t? Well, the studies from NISVS 2010-12 that I quoted showed the statistic as 1 in 5 but the study you quoted is from NISVS 2016/17. Regardless since there are no reliable lifetime stats for men, so there is no point in comparing them to women's lifetime stats. Being made to penetrate/raped also includes situations where you di…

Also 3 times as many women are raped or SA'd than men. Well,no. The surveys do not include made to penetrate. When that's counted (like in the CDC NISVS survey), the no. becomes almost equal for the last 12 months(the 12 month figures are more accurate than lifetime prevalence figures). Also, CDC did not include made to penetrate as rape and counted it seperately to skew the stats. Along with that, women make up majority of the perpetrators of rape on men (around 80%) according to the CDC data. …

You don’t think women were marginalised in the Roman Empire? The foundation of western civilisation? No, cause there were literally Roman and Byzantine empresses. No, they were not marginalised in the past in western societies. Get your facts clear. Also, marginalized means to treat a person, group, etc. in a way that makes them feel that they are not important and have no power. But women in Islamic countries do have power and are considered important. Now I admit Islam is very oppressive. But again it's not exclusively for women.

& women are marginalised I would disagree with that. Women are not marginalized in the western society. And for the rest of the world, women are always at priority. Even in Islamic countries. Nobody forgets actual abuse. Why? It’s traumatic and memorable. The idea of “repressed memories” has been proven false. Well, no. Society tells men to just 'man up' and get over their abuse, so they're less likely to acknowledge it. Also, I never brought up the whole 'repressed memories' thing. What is forgettable? As for the second one, I'm not sure where you got that I think women are more likely to commit crime than people think - I just said men are more likely to and that study does also side with that. So what? If blacks commit more crime, by your logic that justifies the unfair police targeting? If your answer is no, then you should apply the same logic in this case too.

I think Table 2 summarises what I'm trying to say pretty well - the significant difference of the frequency of crimes says it all. The first link is based on clearance rates which is different to targeting. Clearance involves the resolving of cases that have already been opened, whilst targeting refers to the response of a crime before a case has been opened. Both suffer from biases which could definitely be linked together but in this context they're separate issues. Also the individuality of the crime is a crucial factor in clearance rates, whilst targeting is more so on bias without the actual crime itself. Are you blind…

There's clear evidence that people tend to hire people who look like them or share a similar background regardless of qualification. Evidence also shows that as you rise in the ranks there is less opportunity, especially for those without connections. Does that mean every company needs a DEI program? No, but companies empirically benefit from diversity so if you have 5% of your applicants are female it probably begs the question why, especially since some of your workers have daughters. A study …

Yeah, I get that. My point is, misandry has nothing to do with abuse. Just because women have been abused doesn't mean they'd automatically hate men, like in your case.

Nah, I disagree. A lot of guys also have internalized misandry. I think it might be true for some women, but it's not true for all of 'em or even most of 'em. I think the way men are portrayed in pop culture and the media is a big reason why so many people hate men.

Equal child custody is not the same thing as shared custody or joint custody. Joint custody has been interpreted by courts to mean "weekend visitation rights" or even "one day per month" in many jurisdictions. Equal custody is just that -- equal. Including when it comes to time with the child as well as when it comes to making important decisions for the child.

Yes, the NCRB study did found 71% of rapes go unreported. But another analysis found 99.1% of sexual violence in India was unreported because most of it was by the husband. Nonetheless, the vast majority of women are not raped by their husband. Outside marriage, only 15% of rape victims not raped by a spouse report it. As a result, it's unknown how often it gets reported with two contradictory studies.

The definition or any FBI document never explicitly states that made to penetrate is included. It's inclusion depends on our interpretation. Since you are sympathetic to men's issues, you might interpret it as such. But people like Koss who is a known male-rape denier won't account for it. The inclusion of made to penetrate in SES-V was performative imo. That's why she deliberately chose only those items which correspond to the FBI definition which is vague to the point that it excludes made to …
/r/MensRights22/11/24 09:39 AM

Burden of proof lies on you brother. Obviously a nuanced interpretation might account for such complexities but such a vague definition is not enough. Also, my point here is that Koss knowingly used this vague FBI definition to skew the data.
/r/MensRights22/11/24 09:30 AM
1

Now, obviously without the questionnaire, I can't definitely say that it's the case, but given the biased way she intreprets the FBI definition to exclude male victims of "made to penetrate", her intrepretation would be radically different from your nuanced intrepretation which is only possible when you acknowledge male rape, which she clearly doesn't.
/r/MensRights21/11/24 05:52 AM

Well, if we are talking about the law, then here's the 17 states that agree with the CDC definition of rape as forced penetration. These are the states that exclude male victims of forced sex. All of the other 33 states do not do so. Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas. I mean I could use the same argument that "made to penetrate" or "envelopment of penis" is stated nowhere explicitly and wording is rather vague to the point that it excludes "made to penetrate". And so is it not possible that Koss's study knowingly excluded it given her history of denying male rape?
/r/MensRights21/11/24 05:20 AM

As I have repeated multiple times, none of that definition explicitly disqualifies made-to-penetrate as legally recognized rape. The victim in the case of made-to-penetrate would be the man, so it would be the penetration of a (woman's) vagina by a sex organ of another person (a man) without the consent of the victim (said man). Except it does. Your interpretation doesn't make any sense here, cause the "another person" here is the one doing the penetration whereas the "victim" is the one being p…

Repeating the same lie about the FBI definition; it does include “made to penetrate”. As stated when the definition was changed: “ Effectively, the revised definition expands rape to include both male and female victims and offenders, and reflects the various forms of sexual penetration understood to be rape” Nope, it doesn't. It includes female offenders who digitally penetrate men or penetrate men by using an object, not the ones who make men penetrate them against their will. I don’t know why…
/r/MensRights21/11/24 04:57 AM

Brother, it explicitly says "penetration.............by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of victim". If it included made to penetrate, it could have easily replaced "victim" with "any of the person". That's why the data in the study is heavily skewed cause made to penetrate is not considered in the definition. Thus by the FBI definition, it shows less male victims than there should have been.

I mean I find his arguments better than shapiro's but who knows? I really want them to debate each other, it would be more clear, who's better that way.

No, the retort is that if every woman truly cared about other women, they all would’ve voted for Kamala— but they didn’t. Also, the same number of men voted for Kamala as women voted for Trump, which can also be explained by gender bias. So, how the fuck is this men's fault?
/r/MensRights14/11/24 05:30 AM

Also, this dude has no idea how much these people control our lives.

I guess they're referring to this: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr138-508.pdf

There are lots of them, but right off the top of my head is Ukraine.

Oh,yeah. I read that post. I also suggested some names for it in honor of Earl Silverman. Also, how can we fund the shelter? Please get it pinned by the mods to increase it's visibility.

I don't understand the obsession of making everything about women. Why can't they ever sympathize with men?
/r/MensRights12/11/24 07:18 PM
45

Well, that's a first. The word needs to get out. We need to help them spread awareness about it.
/r/MensRights12/11/24 07:12 PM
5

Well, I agree with you on this but again those afraid people also hate us, so maybe it's a combination of both.
/r/MensRights12/11/24 06:43 PM

I think I read somewhere that theft is still massively underreported.
/r/MensRights12/11/24 05:28 PM

I would say It's a bit of hate and a bit of fear.
/r/MensRights12/11/24 05:24 PM

I'd say 'misandrist' fits the bill perfectly right now. Look at all those people blaming us for their election loss. That ain't fear, that's straight-up hate.

I read the article you sent about the 58% conviction rate and I must say it was some useful info. It's unfortunate that we don't have clarity about the data in US.
/r/MensRights12/11/24 04:29 PM

Like I said in our previous exchange, bro, never give up. You got this! Good luck!

Thanks! That's a lot of useful info.

Is there a military study on this?
/r/MensRights12/11/24 04:03 AM

Considering this, Kanin's number might not be totally off.
/r/MensRights12/11/24 03:55 AM

The biggest issue with Kanin's study was the small sample size. If it was bigger, we might've seen the real picture.

Thanks!

Based on self report statistics, only a minority of rape cases are actually reported to the police, owing to the abysmal conviction rate of <1% in most countries. Of those reported cases, 8% are estimated to be fake. Even if 30% of cases are fake, which is highly, highly unlikely, women would still be far more likely to experience sexual violence than men to be falsely accused. BTW, the definition of rape here includes 'indecent exposure, sexual violence, forced penetration'. Nothing you said wo…
/r/MensRights11/11/24 05:30 PM
6

Unwanted male attention is extremely common and if a lot of women considered it to be 'rape' then those statistics would read more like '50% of women claim to experience rape every month'. Mary Koss, one of the most influential and prominent researchers on rape defines it as "unwanted sexual attention".
/r/MensRights11/11/24 05:28 PM

Yes, that is what anecdotal evidence is. Real events which actually happened that are not necessarily representative of a trend because of a lack of quantitative data to back it up, or the presence of quantitative data which implies the opposite. Tell that to the feminists who use such anecdotes as a justification to hate men.
/r/MensRights11/11/24 05:23 PM
1

Are you talking solely about the title?
/r/MensRights11/11/24 04:59 PM

I would say it's pretty descriptive tbh.
/r/MensRights11/11/24 03:35 PM

Women-are-wonderful effect
/r/MensRights11/11/24 02:21 PM

A queer thing about the movement that strikes me is their self-objectification. These are the same feminists who will be shouting about the male gaze but here they are, objectifying themselves as a reward.
/r/MensRights10/11/24 07:24 PM
6

Damn, boy. You savage af.
/r/MensRights10/11/24 07:18 PM
2

Yeah, so the crux of their argument is this: People don't know what rape is and everybody buys into the rape myths or in other words Everybody is a rapist.
/r/MensRights10/11/24 07:08 PM
2

Okay, so on AskFeminists someone asked them about the how many men are rapists, and look at the answers, brother. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskFeminists/comments/n16g82/how_many_men_are_rapists_and_why_do_they_do_it/
/r/MensRights10/11/24 03:22 PM

Women are more likely to defend such things than men, possibly due to the in-group bias.
/r/MensRights10/11/24 02:43 PM
3

Something tells me most men here think it's okay if a man does it but wrong (or more wrong) if a woman does it. No offense, but that's a horrible misintrepretation of our principal argument.
/r/MensRights10/11/24 02:39 PM
3

Lol. Brother, you're delusional as hell. Maybe you don't know but this is a blatant cover-up for the misandry in the movement. This is what the Gender studies field has been doing for past few decades.
/r/MensRights10/11/24 03:12 AM
5

Can you be elaborate about what you're trying to convey here?
/r/MensRights09/11/24 06:45 PM
9

No, you're entirely missing the point here. 4B is not a movement of opting out, it is a movement of punishing and manipulating men by denying them sex.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 06:43 PM
10

What? I think you don't know what 4b movement is.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 06:21 PM
22

The difference- MGTOW: "You are going to hate me or exploit me no matter what i do, so i'd rather not interact". 4B: "I will continue to hate you and use my social privileges until you let me manipulate you."
/r/MensRights09/11/24 05:59 PM
15

Man, that's horrible. I'm really sorry you're going through such a difficult and painful situation. Hope you get out of this shithole ASAP.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 05:55 PM
62

Brother, the world is cruel and ignorant to a man's plight.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 05:51 PM
16

Well, this mostly is online but yeah, this is a misandristic movement and should be called out.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 05:49 PM

Bro, please tell us how we can help you and get you out of this shit.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 05:46 PM

I think you're talking about DEI and all that. I agree, that's racism. But the whole white supremacy thing is definitely more of a right-wing thing.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 05:13 PM
1

That's a good point! But I am talking about the current political scenario.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 05:02 PM

Well, for starters, white supremacy, fascism, ultranationalism, anti-Semitism... the list goes on. Yeah, it's mostly associated with the far-right and alt-right, but it's still part of the right, either way.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 04:50 PM

Yeah, he did, but his explanation just didn’t do it for me. Also, I’m just here gathering some opinions on this.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 04:46 PM

I’d kinda disagree with that. Obviously, Kamala wasn’t the better choice, but Trump coming back to the presidency has cranked the right’s historic issues of extremism up to eleven, and that’s definitely not good for the country.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 04:18 PM

Lol, bro, David Pakman is my source, and just so you know, he's a LW commentator. He's talked to all the people I mentioned, and he’s seeing this happen to him too. He literally made a video about it.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 03:17 PM
2

Bro, I'm not making any final judgment on this. I'm just repeating what this commentator admitted and giving my take on it. As for being on a high horse, you're the one who came at me for asking your opinion. So yeah, maybe you should get off YOUR high horse and tone down that inflated ego.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 03:13 PM

No, not just viewers—it's down by a huge number of subs and paid members in such a short time. Also, I never said they’re fleeing the party, but the support’s definitely wavering, imo.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 03:07 PM
3

Nah, both of 'em are equally gynocentric in their own way.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 02:57 PM
2

What? Everything's 'unprecedented' until it happens for the first time. That's literally what it means.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 02:51 PM
2

Oh, so maybe you're the expert here. Let's hear your unbiased, factual take, shall we?
/r/MensRights09/11/24 02:34 PM
1

Wtf? When did I say they're my enemies? And a loss of 10k subs in one day, plus a record number of paid memberships getting cancelled across the entire spectrum of LW commentators— that looks like a soft fall in powdery snow to you?
/r/MensRights09/11/24 02:32 PM
2

Bro, I'm a centrist, not right-winger. But this is just what I've noticed over the past few years. Also, I don't know about others, but for me, facts drive my stance.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 02:28 PM
4

Nope, they admitted this has never happened before, which is why they were so shocked by the impact.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 02:03 PM
5

If you're gonna laugh like an idiot, at least give some context so I can figure out wtf you're laughing at.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 02:00 PM
4

I don’t think so. IMO, people are just fed up with the left-wing's divisive politics. It’s only gonna get worse.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 01:41 PM
-2

Well no, cause they’re losing their memberships too. I don’t think people would pay for memberships just to get info about elections.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 01:37 PM
4

I mean idk but every major left-wing commentator is losing subscribers.
/r/MensRights09/11/24 12:57 PM
