Gorguess girl at work, I was tasked with training her and I was in the zone. She was consistently flirting, I wanted to stay professional and ass 100% blind to who she is as a person. Once I realized her value, I immediately asked her out and chased after her till she was repulsed by me. Couldn't just be chill, no discipline, just reacting like an idiot. Had the looks ( like 9/10, was an amateur athlete) , personality, hobbies, etc...... So far still the best person I've met in my life in terms …

I know, I'm going through something very similar. The only difference is that it's most likely how I acted due to life being harsh the past while and I pushed that girl away, she wanted something to happen. We often tend to focus on the upsides of people who don't like us, and on the downside of people who do. Other than that, I'm sorry you're going through the same shit I am. Life can be like that, take some time and hopefully you'll move on.

The warmer ones probably aren't interested in you and just want your attention because it feels good. The cold ones want you to fight through the walls they're putting up, basically testing you. If you push through, their instincts kick in and make you attractive.
