You think there's no hierarchy in these organizations? Of course there's hierarchy. But, I don't mind reporting to a superior. I ended up joining the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) and work as a electrician now. Didn't even know there was such a thing. Thanks for this! What I'm getting from your OP is you're probably somewhat of an introvert. True. How do you find out what you're actually passionate about? And is passion a justifiable motive to pursue something? For example, are plumbers passionate about plumbing before they learn it? Ah, my bad. Firefighter is also something I was considering. And to be frank, my fiancee prefers it. She says I'd make too many enemies as a cop. lol Only because I have ZERO tolerance for criminals and corruption. Mainly because I was mugged 3 times in Brazil, and saw the country go to shit due to corruption and lenient laws on criminals.

I see. I'll definitely look into those. Unfortunately, I can't and won't leave retail Best Buy since it is the only income I have. And I only leave one job when I have another lined up for me. You're right. I've been a long time lurker and see a lot of posts about having a "masculine frame" (i.e. lifting, not being needy). And then I started to question how one could juggle said masculine frame with a title of "Nurse". The same word used to describe a mother feeding her babe. But maybe I'm overthinking it. I'll be honest with you. I feel like a nobody. I've switched my major 4 times in college. Most of them were majors that were to make big bucks, like Civil engineering and Law. I hated them. I was miserable. So now I'm 26 and still trying to figure out "what I want to be when I grow up". Thanks for the advice.
