The follow-up comments on that thread are actually pretty spectacular. I like the idea of not responding with down-votes ala SRS, but leaving the absurd comments alone for visibility and destroying them highly visible comments of our own.

As someone very vocal about men's rights and animal rights, you're a little off the mark here. In the animal rights/welfare community getting all dogs and cats fixed, male or female is a massive priority. I've never before heard it talked about by feminists or anyone else as a gender issue. This sort of thing really needs to be shouted to the rooftops as much as possible. Until it's widely known and culturally accepted that men can be victims of domestic violence and that this is not ok, abusers act not only with impunity, but with the protection of the law, since DV laws increasingly assume the male is the abuser. Someone I know called 911 when his abusive wife threatened to kill him. He was the one arrested. It's disgusting.

I wholeheartedly agree. Any woman who can meet the same physical requirements for a job as men deserves to be able to do the job. But to lower physical standards for combat troops is insane.

With the type of economy we have, who-ever can maximize productivity and profit will always do better. I really wish more people would come to realize that. It's incredibly rare to see sex or race based discrimination or favoritism in the workforce because it's simply not profitable.

No no no no no. A former feminist coworker very frequently and loudly explained to me that men and women are physically equal and that it's horribly sexist to assume that women can't do anything a man can do. I tried discussing sexual dimorphism with her, but apparently that's "a bunch of bullshit". So clearly this article has it all wrong.

Personally I believe that almost anything a man/woman can do, a woman/man can do just as well, if not better. This is fun, but trying to get feminists to see the point of videos like this is like trying to get a hungry dog to stop eating a platter of bacon and go take a bath all on it's own just by asking nicely. Aside from the obvious anger and frustration at the blatant sexism, the thing about this sort of thing that drives me crazy is the lack of anger or even comment from feminists. If you're fighting for equality, shouldn't that mean equal treatment at both ends of the spectrum? Equal opportunity in society and equal punishment for breaking society's rules?
