It says that in Study 2 "Study 2 revealed that overconfident people also tend to be perceived as arrogant, which counteracts the positive effects of perceived confidence. ", so it negated the effects? Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

"I really suck at making moves" Do just that, make moves. You already have a date set up it seems so if you don't do something when she comes to visit you, be sure to make a move on the date. Just try holding hands, kissing using the "wait" trick, or just being physical with her in general. Fortune favors the bold

Bring up random shit that interests you. I recently told a girl who I K-closed within an hour meeting her about how "I can't stand Thanksgiving and it can go fuck itself". She laughed and then 90% of the she'll continue the conversation with her own opinion. That's how conversations work. For this lasting game that you're trying to employ, make sure to bring up conversations that strike EMOTIONS. Get to know what makes this person tick, what makes them cry, what makes them feel like a woman. To …

I believe that for the most part, you can get solely inner validation if you really tried. But in return, you'll possibly accidentally get outside validation. One thing I learned from pickup is to "Date and fall in love with yourself, first. Then women are easy."

and to add onto this, for future reference: approach her FIRST, then add her on IG/Snapchat. It's not an enemy base, you don't need to do recon first to get in. ; )

Fuck everyone who says "Don't be a white knight dude", "You could've had her man" "You blew a chance at free pussy dude". They obviously don't see the bigger picture: You held your values. That's so fucking huge for not only displaying value, but also your own self worth. You went into a tempting situation with a made up mind and stuck to the values that YOU thought were right. Good fucking job man. There WILL be plenty of girls out there that are single and really want you as bad as this girl d…

Good for you man. The experience is so valuable in these situations until making moves becomes a habit. Also good on you for knowing that the "spark" wasn't there on that last date and realizing that shit happens that's beyond your control. Go find another girl and do even better! Cheers

It all worked out for the better! No one said a god damn thing except one girl noticed and partially complimented. Another case of the spotlight effect.

What are you talking about? A monogamous relationship entails that both partners are limited to each other for sex. Don't think too much into the question.

I really know I'm not. You bait one to get more. You don't eat your bait, bud.

Why not be honest at work? Isn't the idea of standing for something an admirable trait in the workforce? I would think that'd be a quality that employers look for when promotions come around.

I think it's more of a self esteem thing which in turn makes my stutter worse.

Got it. And if he does directly insult him? What to do? Also, follow up question, what about a backhanded compliment?

Would people see him as being a pushover then?

Pay attention to the little things. Look what clothing she has on. Let's say she's a dancer, talk about that. You can even say, "Oh, you're a dancer, then you must be a very out-going person. Blah blah blah." People LOVE to talk about themselves. That's all they think about all day is themselves (most of the time). Find something she likes and be GENUINELY interested in her. It'll help you ask more questions and connect.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
