That's a stupid phrase IMHO, and trivializes / ignores the dozens of compounding reasons that someone might cheat.

If you rephrase it as "If a girl cheats when she is in an unhappy, sexually un-fulfilling, horrible communication relationship with a guy she doesn't respect and sees no future with", then yes it also applies to you... So just don't be that guy, and don't let it turn into that shitty of a relationship.

Personally I'll break up 10x sooner than when a girl would start cheating, because if it isn't working, it isn't working.

I used to be very anti relationship. I had a two week rule. Well, Girl cheated with me, started dating, got serious, she cheated on me two weeks after I left for 3 months for work. I left only to earn money for a ring, and we broke up. We are sexual beings that have lust and desire that can consume us. Situations can happen; alcohol, being overly comfortable with someone not your SO, loneliness. But, until we find someone that you would never even consider it because they are your world and you know 100% the feeling is mutual, it's never guaranteed that someone won't cheat. Her cheating with her bf is an indication that she is willing to cheat to find someone and the instant she is in a situation where she even slightly doubts what you are, it'll happen to you too. Simple as that.

There's a difference in my opinion when a girl openly interacts with other men to when they do it behind your back.

I was seeing a very attractive girl for a few weeks and the moment I found out she had a boyfriend she hadn't mentioned to me I dropped her like a bag of shit from my life.

Might be a personal thing but I just can't build relationships with people who are openly dishonest and deceitful.

girls cheat due to various circumstances and various situations ... whether or not she cheated with you doesn't mean she will necessarily cheat on you .. but my advice, as hard as it may be, is to try very hard not to find out regardless...

This only applies to AFCs, chodes, and jealous, insecure assholes. The very language "cheating" implies an immoral act, almost as if someone is breaking a contract. It asserts that women have no right to make their own sexual choices, they are property of a boyfriend, and any other sexual partner is committing trespass to chattels. This is a form of slut-shaming.

Well I have some news for you: women aren't your property. You don't have any right to make choices for her. And those possessive attitudes will alienate her and drive her to another guy, someone that won't judge her.
