How quickly widowers move on from their wives shows that they don't see women as people, just bangmaidsCan confirm. Source: in my pre-FDS days I married a widower (17 years older then me) whose wife, unknown to me, had died earlier that year. I of course knew he had a late wife but was lead to believe she had passed a long time before she did. Fun arguments included in the marriage are (but are not limited to) : "why don't you bake me cakes to take to work, she always did" "have you ever cleaned the toilet in your house even once since we started dating, or did that somehow become my job" "you sh… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 07/01/22 10:09 PM
How do you like your eggs: A vetting strategyHusband was making dinner and I asked for him not to put more than 30g of cheese on mine as I had a health issue relating to dairy. He told me to fuck off. We're divorced now. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 04/01/22 09:13 PM
I wish men were required to watch this video before dating womenExactly that. When I ended things with my partner he had the audacity to say 'i thought things were going much better now, we never argue anymore' Dude if I've lost the will to even try to talk to you, that's not 'better'. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 22/12/21 11:10 PM
Whenever I'm feeling down about a broken friendship or someone not treating me the way I should be treated, I have a little talk with myself. I remind myself that yes, I am enough, and no, I will not sacrifice my own happiness or stability for someone else's. Choose yourself every time.Thank you haha! Anger isn't an emotion that comes easily to me, but when he told me this year he was planning to go home mid dec-mid Jan and made no mention of including me, I'd just had enough. I was so done. It was over for me there and then. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 22/12/21 05:08 PM

Going into 2022 with my eyes wide open and choosing myself! Congrats on being a great partner. If he wanted to he would has been my new mantra I literally said it to him when I was breaking up with him. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 22/12/21 05:07 PM |

I remind myself that yes, I am enough, and no, I will not sacrifice my own happiness or stability for someone else's. Choose yourself every time.I recently broke up with my partner of four years because I finally had the realisation I needed to choose myself. I always thought he was a HVM until I had this awakening where I realized that even though he is the bare minimum of 'not a shitbag', and says all the right things, his actions never showed he was choosing me. Every year, He went away to visit family about six hours away, for nearly a month, over Christmas and New year's, and never invited me or offered to spend any of that time wit… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 22/12/21 11:20 AM |
What are your thoughts on changing your name after marriage?Kept it. Was not about to change my lovely Celtic surname for 'smith'. Saved me time when we got divorced too lol. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/12/21 10:55 PM
Actions speak louder than wordsSaved, be telling my ex this tomorrow when I meet him to tell him to stop calling and texting. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/12/21 10:51 PM
Last Night in Soho - an excellent FDS cautionary taleI knew this movie was fantastic when it was the next day and I still couldn't get it out of my head. The bit that stuck with me was at the end when character a says to character b, "they deserved it" and character b says "I know". Just chills. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 31/10/21 05:44 PM
Talk to your ex’s exI would but my ex/abuser was a widower. I'll never be able to ask her and I'll always wonder :( Really pleased for you that you took such positive steps in your life! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 14/10/21 07:57 AM
Cause of death: the audacity 😉 Share a story of a time a scrote either mansplained something you’re an expert in or made a hilarious statement like below. I’ll go first in comments!I had a mechanic explain to me how to use a seatbelt once because my garage wouldn't believe me when I reported a fault. A seatbelt. I mean I'm no mechanic but I have been using one for a couple of decades now. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 05/10/21 09:53 PM
We all thought of *that* one ex-boyfriend now, didn't weOh man I love(d) clippy! I wish they still had him haha. Please don't tell me he was the OG mansplainer it will break my heart. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 30/09/21 08:12 PM
Personal achievementI'm on it! He gives me the vibe of someone who would be into relationships with an unequal power dynamic, meaning the type of women he'd be coming across daily would be perfect for him. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 28/09/21 03:32 PM
You should bring up periods in the initial months of talking to a new man to gauge his reaction.Went one better and accidentally bled on his white sheets. He was a.total.gent about it tho, Def a keeper. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 09/09/21 12:25 AM
If he has bad manners - he will be bad in bed. SimpleAlthough having good manners sadly doesn't necessarily correlate to good on bed. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 25/07/21 07:58 AM
*sigh* Girl, really? You can cook a nice meal for the price of one takeout portion, he just chooses not to.Ugh. Frugality isn't never spending any money, it's choosing to spend your money where it provides the most value and worth to your life. If he isn't choosing to spend money on his dates with you, he doesn't consider you to bring any value or worth to his life. Get out. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 18/03/21 11:25 AM
If he wanted to, he would. So lovely! It was my birthday two days ago but I was feeling very rough from having the covid jab. The HVM in my life made me breakfast in bed - pastries, cold cuts, cheese and fresh fruit salad, bought me presents in bed, set up a day of 'feel good' films and board games, them in the evening made me steak and salad and organised a Skype call with friends and birthday cake. It wasn't prosecco for breakfast but it was exactly what I needed :) Being treated like we matter is the least we deserve! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 18/03/21 11:20 AM
She didn't stutter!Team pillow fort / nest! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 28/02/21 01:03 PM
She didn't stutter! He got rid of the one he already had as by his own admission he'd had it far too long! And please don't judge me but I sleep on my bed with 7 pillows haha | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 28/02/21 11:21 AM
She didn't stutter! My HVM bought four super thick pillows the minute we even started discussing me staying over sometime. A true partner will want to make you comfy and looked after in their house without you having to ask. This woman is spitting pure facts. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 28/02/21 12:27 AM

I had a gut feeling about this one... glad to find out sooner than later!"I dont like this back and forth part of the courting process" Ummmm sounds a lot likesomeone wants to skip the putting the effort in phase and skip straight to you washing his clothes and making him sandwiches. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 18/01/21 09:38 PM
Co-worker Propositioned Me For Sex, Hand Me a Barf BagBeen there. Colleague: How much do I have to pay for you to let me see your tits? Sir I work in IT not the sex trade. Gtfo. Creep still stalks me on LinkedIn to this day. Well done on trusting your instincts to stay safe! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 17/01/21 10:50 AM
“Women aren’t funny”: the jokes men tellHaha the male comedians are mostly respectful, (at least to my face) It's normally audience members who say it. Boo. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 13/01/21 09:56 PM
“Women aren’t funny”: the jokes men tellI do stand up comedy (or did pre covid...) And I cannot tell you how often men come up to me after gigs and say "usually I don't think women are funny but you were good!". Sir that is not a compliment. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 13/01/21 09:50 PM
It’s always the ones that have no car and live with family that pull this. So quick to use a girl to get out of your situation. So true! A guy in his 40s from work tried to start chatting me up at the start of lockdown (I'm 30), during which time I discovered he still lived with his parents. Baffled how this man more than a decade older than me didn't have his life together and got really.clingy to me once he found out I lived alone and was happy that way. Bye dude! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 09/01/21 11:04 PM
If you’re dating a HVM right now and you don’t live together, how much do you all communicate?I think as others have said, it depends entirely on factors within your relationship so there's no real like hard and fast rule. The most important thing is that you are able to discuss this together and figure out what works for you both - that meets your needs. My HVM and I don't live together, he text messages good morning and good night, and checks in with me to see how my work day has been, whether I've taken my meds etc. (I've asked him to do this). We talk for an hour or two on the phone … | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 28/12/20 12:27 PM
Ladies, this is why we stay away from older men.I would have been 21 and he was 38. Now of course I see the red flags but within 12 months I'd quit my job, moved in with him hundreds of miles away from all my friends and family, and we were engaged. I couldn't drive, didn't have my own income, and was a student. Married within another year and divorced not long after when I realised some of the things he was doing to me were non consentual, sexual assault. He ended up in prison shortly after the divorce for crashing his car into a police car … | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 03/12/20 05:55 PM
Ladies, this is why we stay away from older men.My ex husband could have written this lol. He was 17 years older and that was our exact dynamic. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/11/20 10:33 PM
After so many toxic/one-sided relationships in the past, do you feel like a "bad girlfriend" when you finally are in a healthy relationship?Yes my god I struggle with this so much. I get counselling ATM and I speak about it every week with my counsellor. I grew up and then married into really abusive situations where it was reinforced with violence that being a good partner = sex and it is so hard to get out of that headspace. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 28/09/20 07:06 PM
