I was sexually assaulted by a girl the same age as me when I was 14 in front of the whole ass gym class and everyone literally laughed at me when it happened. The incident also happened when my suicidal thoughts were at their absolute worst, so it affected me a lot. Honestly, the rates are close enough that I'd call it roughly equal. Women make up 51.55% of child abusers according to this study, while men make up 47.31% of them and the remaining 1.14% are of unknown gender.
