Honestly? A good partner and co-parent. People use that word after getting a divorce but I want it in the context of marriage, and pretty much I’d the main motivating factor. Everything else? Money, a house, sexual satisfaction? I can give that to myself.

True, I had a guy try to talk about marriage within a month and I was like”what??” Honestly I just think he wanted to be married in general, and would with any woman who also wanted to with him. IMHO around 3 months or so it should at least be mentioned.

Because you don’t want to share resources and such with a man who isn’t committed to you. I could see not wanting marriage if you also don’t want to live with a guy or share finances, or have kids. But most of the women on this sub want at least one of those things eventually.

Once they’re in school it’s fine but don’t let these comments fool you parenting is HARD and expensive(I’m guessing your 6 figure salary will help with that, nannies from my area start at like $18/hr base pay). Especially the 2-3yr old ages. I love kids, I am a kid person. But damn I don’t think I’d ever want to do it alone. It is the hardest job you’ll ever do, plus it’s 24/7. There are no breaks. That being said if it was 10 year down the line; and I had a similar income level, I would probabl…

So idk if this counts but the satisfyer is on a whole ‘nother level. Like 10/10, get that O every single time. I want to tell all my friends about it but it’s a bit TMI to share.

Being habitual late to things, maybe that’s a full on red, but I just thought it was part of his personality for too long of a time. Turns out he could be on time to his work all the time, he just didn’t value me.

OMG, I feel this post so hard. This is my roommate!! She know how to clean but only does if I give her very specific instructions, and remind her each time. It’s like living with a 12 yr old, and it’s driving me insane.

Against the grain here, but I actually like BJs in certain scenarios(such as being on my period, and being horny AF) BUT I will only be ding that in a mutually beneficial and exclusive relationship. And honestly, next time I might be engaged or close because I have no interest in being sexual with someone I don’t have a commitment with. Also I’m someone who likes being eaten out, so you know if I’m giving I need to be getting too. That something that definitely would not be allowed to be a one w…

I’m lucky to have a Dad who is HVM, he is the only one who works(my Mom hasn’t worked for money for the last 40 years but has been high up in some nonprofits) but he does clean. If he think the floor needs to be vacuum he does it. If he needs his clothes ironed, he does it. My mom does the majority of housework because she’s home more(and she genuinely enjoys cooking.) but if something lacking he does it. Unfortunately my oldest brother doesn’t follow in his footsteps and is a LVM, who doesn’t e…

As someone who toured(pre pandemic) there are guys who don’t cheat and live that type of lifestyle and there are a lot of them that do cheat and live that lifestyle. As a former/current nanny is because nannies are required to show an amount of respect(in an authority type way) to the dad’s which the men like, sometimes too much. Some nannies get on that by their own choices(because caring/hands on Dads are hot) and some are somewhat pressed(because you can’t snip the inappropriate comments, and their the only real adult who will listen about your daily life.) I’ve never been in an entanglement with a Dad, but I see how it happens both very consensually, and…

Any guy thinks 3rd date is “relationship territory” need to get their head checked. I wait at least a month. Additionally, it needs to be understood beforehand if a girl in the relationship should pay anything. You don’t invite someone to a fancy dinner and then expect THEM to pay for it, which looks like what he did here. This is NOT a HVM.

You are at a fork in the road here. Therapy or divorce. It doesn’t matter how much you put it off, that’s what’s going to happen, there are soo many horsemen in this story(from the 4 horse of the apocalypse from relationship expert Dr. John Gottman) I suggest therapy, a Gottman certified theorist I think are the best as their backed up by research in their methods.

Yeah, I think that’s the most I’d do before marriage. Really depends on how often you see them, And how often they cook/take you out to dinner. I wouldn’t do more than a 1 on 1.

I would cook for a guy I’m dating, but no more than once a week, he doesn’t need to depend on you for meals. Guys fucking love when you cook, you just have to rein it in.

Well I guess it’s wording for me. My parents say they “fight” but neither is aren’t is a yeller(well unless my Mom thinks my physical well-being is in danger) so really they just disagreement. I wish we as a society was taught better conflict resolution. Because there will also be conflict, and disagreements, it’s just matter of dealing with it in a healthy way. And if someone is toxic, to realize that’s unhealthy, and cut them out.

My most recent ex was never on time for anything for me but always was for his work. Like I would purposefully say I wanted dinner at 6pm knowing he’d be an hour late so we’d have dinner at 7pm(when I really wanted dinner) The worst instance of this, is I was working two jobs back to back, and he wanted to spend time together(because he traveled for work) so I took off work time just to wait around for like an hour while he worked on some last minute task his boss gave him. Then was someone mad …

Don’t get me wrong I think she is literally out of her mind for selling his car, and not thinking shit will hit the fan, but talking with with some LVM in the comments like “it shouldn’t be important to her” and “it’s his house” reminds me why I choose to be single. I would expect more from a ROOMMATE, forget a bf(tho I would never live with a bf, so that’s besides the point)

For the record I don’t do FWB even with a good looking guy. I don’t think it’s a good idea and I am only looking for a relationship that is on a possible pathway to marriage. I saw basically that on my profile. It’s just the audacity of the scrotes that makes me laugh.

I do trim mine BECAUSE I WANT TO. I would be appalled if a guy was like “yeah you have to keep it clean shaven” or whatever, this is my body, I do with it as I want to. Same goes for leg, and armpit hair, I do shave those BECAUSE I WANT TO, if I guy wanted to “require” it, it would be a big enough red flag to leave.

I have a friend who doesn’t work, but has both a “meal prep cook”; basically a chef, and a maid, who does all her laundry. She is really into being a Mom though, and doesn’t have a nanny, so at least there’s that.

My Dad has/had an emotionally distant father his whole life, and a physically distant father since he was 12. He is the best Dad I could ever ask for. I don’t get why people think just cause you didn’t get a good involved dad/mom your kid has to have the same fate.

To be fair, he doesn’t officially live there he does have his own apt, it just SEEMS like he does. He there all the freakin time. I’ve been basically quarantined, and so has she and we will continue to after this. Basically if either of us had it, we would of had symptoms by now. I’ve seen it twice. Both weird situations, but didn’t seem to be LVM in either. I guess I just don’t know many widowers. A guy wife committed suicide, literally ALL the single women at church wanted him. About 6 months later, he was in a relationship with my Sunday School teacher, who was single but not really looking. They’re 15ish years apart, but we’re great together. She got MS when they were engaged, and their wedding date has to be moved because of her treatments, but they eventually got m…

Look up and study the 4 Horsemen of the apocalypse as he calls them, and don’t use them, and RUN away from anyone who isn’t willing to work on not using them. They’re Criticism, contempt, defensiveness and stonewalling. These are relationship KILLERS. Also he has some Dos, like nurturing fondness and admiration, and accepting each other’s influence. The accepting influence I think is very easy for women, but I’d say RUN away from guys who can’t accept your influence. That’s more of a LVM issue. …

I think every couple is different, but one of my friends has sorta this problem. Idk what the difference between the two of them is but she’s like a scheduler/receptionist person and he’s a dentist. They put It all together then take out a percentage like 20% I think...they split for “their” money. So if it was 5k a month they each have $500 a month they don’t have to answer to the other person for. It seems to work for them, I definitely would Only do this if I was married to the guy tho,
