The average waist circumference is 40.2 inches my eyes are bugging. from https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/lifestyle/why-is-my-waist-size-important/ You're at very high risk of some serious health conditions and should see a GP if your waist is: 102cm (40in) or more for men 88cm (34.5in) or more for women

Your category 1 traits are just universal indicators of being a good person. They're appealing to men and women alike. Ideal would be a guy who has traits from category 1 and category 2, but only category 2 is sexually appealing. Category 1 is just “husband material.” The really interesting questions are: which category is the better predictor of compatibility? what kind of relationships does each category produce? I think you would find that category 1 matches ('good people') produce stable fam…

I'm confused. so Saudi men don't actually beat their wives? everyone just passively reposes in misery?

not many husbands will be aroused enough to still want sex from a woman who hasn't brushed her teeth or bathed in 4+ days, or changed her underwear, or that grows a mustache, plucks chin hairs in front of you, farts, takes a shit, and poorly wipes, or smells bad, or hasn't brushed her hair. I'm sure the threat of a beating could convince her to look after her hygiene as well. I thought Saudi men basically treated their women like third-world families treat their disobedient kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 08:06 PM

The reason men gravitate to dressing in branded stuff, is because they want to show off their social status. Wearing brands like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, doesn't only give you a nicer appearance (because it's quality clothing) it also gives you the appearance of a higher status man. women like a man in a sharp suit, doesn't matter what brand it is

i think people should date whoever they want without anyone's influence. I agree. to be clear, I am not an authoritarian. anyone of legal age should be free to choose marriage or not marriage, including 20-year-olds. if I'm honest, I don't think women can do a lot to benefit themselves, because let's face it, it's a man's world. even if there was a violent revolution of the proletariat tomorrow that rebuilt society, we might all become communists, but it would still be a man's world.

people make a lot of fuss over 'being happy' these days and I still haven't figured out exactly what that is. By saying it's 'offensive' you are more or less giving away what it is you want to say. what is considered offensive (i.e. not 'progressive') to say about women these days is that they want to comply with their pre-progressive, traditional gender roles, e.g. to focus on and enjoy raising kids and a family instead of work, to not have opinions of their own and to be spoken for and controlled by a man, etc.. Society wants to go in a certain direction and those who want to say we should go in a dif…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/19 10:39 PM

For casual sex, right? But women are picky nowadays. I guess that's either due to anti-slut defense (defense against female judgement) or SMV protection (defense against men thinking that they are low value). Sorry I'm being so dense, this is a topic and a period of time that is never touched in discussion usually but the history really helps me understand the state of affairs in the present day.

Very interesting and quite believable really. My next question is is this attraction 'active' or 'passive'? As a man, my attraction to women is mainly 'passive': I don't need to try to find women attractive or unattractive, because an appraisal more or less reflexively emerges from my subconscious. I'm sure women also do an immediate subconscious appraisal in the same way, but how important is it? How much does conscious involvement (e.g. talking to the man, learning about his personality) affec…

I think it's another gender binary thing. Men chase potential gain regardless of the potential loss, which is why they love to gamble. Women are obsessed with minimising loss, which is natural because they're more fragile, they can't afford any fuck-ups. So we see men chasing the hottest woman who gives them the slightest indication of interest, and we see women accepting the man who has made the clear decision to pick them, over the competition.

I think you're on the money. Do women acknowledge this? Are you happy with a boyfriend that scores low on primary and high on secondary? Would you be happier with the scores reversed? In my experience as a man, I think we're happier with women with higher secondary scores, because the competition is lower, but they still seem attractive to us. Men are less concerned with what other men think of us though, so I suspect it might be different for women.

Among married females 85% reported sexual fidelity. Among married men, 75.5% reported sexual fidelity. Among homosexual males in their current relationship, 4.5% reported sexual fidelity. you can bitch about the quality of the statistics all you want but the fact is gays fuck a lot and they're a lot less uptight about infidelity (and a lo…

I think this attitude descends from the christian view that christ is the head of the man, and man is the head of the woman. so man's leadership of woman is analogous to christ's leadership of man. christ's leadership is a hard thing to define, but I have heard women say things like 'he has the body of a god', 'that orgasm was a religious experience' etc.

On the men-women impulsive-unimpulsive matrix, this rule would result in more abortions for the children of impulsive men with unimpulsive women. My guess is that it wouldn't make a huge difference since unimpulsive women already choose their partners carefully. I'm pro-choice, I also agree with 'financial abortion'. The strain on finances caused by a child can ruin your life (and by extension the child's).

I think Dave Chappelle said something about how a man would be fine living in a cardboard box if he was getting pussy. I see where he's coming from but this is only because we've got a social safety net. In e.g. Romania you'd be dead within a week living out of a box. Fucking women is all well and good but 'leader of men' types are required to maintain civilisation, which keeps your kids alive. It's no good fucking loads of women if none of the offspring survive.

The current level of western socio-sexual equality (among men) is a fluke, basically. It arose out of world wars, democracy, colonization, and a bunch of other destabilizing forces that opened a small temporary window for the bulk of western men to carve decent lives for themselves. That is what women tell men. I have this theory that older women are spreading this sort of lie in order to bag men. Younger women don't need to make shit up, so they don't say anything. So since older women are the only ones who say anything, their lies get interpreted as 'the voice of all women'. Since older women are the source of the lie, the rhetoric naturally has a 'lost youth' slant disclaiming the value of youthful attributes.

Yeah, we need to survey a group of women who have done both and see what they prefer. Maybe compare groups of women who worked first and then became housewives, and housewives who then went to work. My guess would be that housewives who then went to work would be happier, just because older people make better decisions involving risk.

This is my initial reaction as well. However, considering how harrowing a real rape is, and how disruptive a fake accusation is, I think there's a possibility that the victims may benefit from the option of submitting evidence from their phones. Will this move increase real rape convictions? Or inhibit them? Will it increase false accusations or reduce them? Lots to consider here. The important variables here are the man and the context, and the important subtext is safety. It is not always safe for a woman to say no to a man. Men don't tend to appreciate this because women rarely put men in physical danger. I think a man would understand this mindset if, from puberty, he was constantly at risk of violence, maybe if he was the son of a wanted gangster or something. Even then, men react differently to danger due to having the tools to resist it. Improvements in women's liv…

They know what they're doing! If they didn't want the attention they would dress modestly. Many women do. In Japan, for example, immodest dress is very unusual; no cleavage is ever shown. Women tend to say that they 'do it for themselves' rather than any male attention, but that argument is lost on me. Male attention defines female clothing styles. As if risky cleavage necklines and plunge back cocktail dresses were invented so that women could look at them!

Are you worried that they might hold it against you, if you cut them off? Or they might spread lies about you?

It's totally superficial. They want others to praise them. Their usual method for obtaining this praise is saying the right words without ever committing to any work. The trick is to give them enough rope to hang themselves. e.g. Sociopath: "I am the highest quality consultant money can buy - we use the highest quality processes." You, agreeing and amplifying: "So of course you're going to get it certified for quality, right?"

Sociopaths aim to please. Try and tempt them into promising too much to their boss/client.

I think you need to clarify your question. Women are always trying to 'get something', they're cunning like that. You should enter into relationships with them with the mutual understanding that you are giving to one another on an equal basis, with clear communication. If you don't, you'll get cheated and taken advantage of regularly.

Good post, even if it does make me feel sick. IMO, it looks like these families have enough money that it won't explode and the daughter probably won't even run away before adulthood. There's no avoiding the daddy issues though. Either these two dads let stuff slip between the cracks between them and the daughter comes out of childhood uncomforted or without enough resources to grow, or (much less likely) they do too much for her and she becomes a spoiled, entitled brat. Don't get divorced, guys…

I had a friend like this. He wasn't perfect but every so often he would pick on me. It got inside my head eventually. It's insidious because it's just banter and there's no one-size-fits-all way to check him for this behaviour. Like I said, it got inside my head eventually and that was really not good for my self-esteem. If you feel like you're starting to believe what he says, you may need to respond with something drastic.

What editing? This is just a sequence of clips of a dancefloor with a voiceover.

Just hold your fists up at about shoulder level and shift your weight from side to side. It doesn't even have to be in time with the music. If a girl asks you to dance she's probably watching so try to look like you give a fuck for a minute. Literally all there is to it.

Agreed, OP's regime sounds kind of like the guy in American Psycho. I mean, he's an attractive guy, but you don't need to be as self-obsessed and psychotic.

Don't sweat it then. Probably some Asian thing. If you live in a western country, she'll have to unlearn this behaviour sooner or later.

That's a given. Why does this short-tempered woman put up with this guy's shit for years? Why didn't she spend those years trying to find a more suitable partner? Why do they both keep fucking if this guy doesn't give a shit (showed up 3 times in 10 years)?

Sorry man, I thought about it for a bit and I don't have a good answer for you. I have come across this confusing behaviour in Asian girls before. In that case, I ignored it and I don't think there were any negative repercussions.

I mean, the surface answer is pretty obvious, it's just a laugh. So it sounds like she's asking an existential question. Both men and women suffer from existential dread, but with women it tends to come out in this stupid way. I'm not super sure about this but you could try making her feel more at ease to prevent her from becoming existential. Stop insisting that you both do what you want, let her have more input.

LSD changes how your body and mind work for a little while. During my trips: My senses changed Things became harder to distinguish visually. Walls and objects appeared to be continuously melting Sounds were different I noticed things I didn't usually notice Sounds seemed to echo My thoughts changed I thought more quickly. Usually I can vocalise what I'm thinking, but on acid there was too much going on, like there was more than one voice at once I thought more profoundly. I thought about unlikel…

If you were acting like a beta, she was not behaving (i.e. responding) in a genuine way. In short, you didn't really know her. I was in a similar situation myself. Years after breaking up, I met her again on a platonic basis, and she had changed so much on a psychosexual level that, even though we were both found each other physically attractive and were available, we couldn't have sex any more. Her sexual tastes had transformed so drastically that we no longer had any sexual activities in commo…

I know when I see a man with a big beard that he's trying to compensate for something. Same as with the big cars. I see short guys, fat guys, lazy fucks with huge bushy beards and I know what's going on.

You have to use the right 'force'. Obviously you need to use force to move your diaphragm, but the rest of your muscles should 'follow' from that. The force should ripple upwards from your diaphragm. If you want to make your voice more impressive, start by strengthening your diaphragm. Speaking is like breathing out, and the main thing that controls your breath is that muscle.

Use a more powerful voice. Any singer will tell you you should relax the muscles in your head, neck and upper body, and push from your diaphragm to power your voice. This way, your voice will resonate from your abdomen and sound deep and manly.

You mean you're like Private Pyle? The only advice I have is to look out for when you absolutely cannot smile - a sad bit during a movie, thinking about a dead pet, or during a lift when your muscles are totally exhausted - and try and feel like that more often. In the movie, the drill instructor chokes Private Pyle until he stops grinning, but then he also goes on to commit murder-suicide, so I wouldn't be that drastic.

I would recommend going to 1 session each and joining the one that has the most dedicated members. The point of these clubs is to train with others, so the quality of the experience correlates directly with how seriously your partners take the training. Don't forget, the point of a martial arts club is not to become big, or fierce, or to learn how to fuck people up. You join a martial arts club to learn that martial art, everything else is secondary. If, as a result, you get fitter, or become mo…
