I presume you have never shot a gun son?

This has nothing to do with being Alfa or Beta. It is about personal preferences, what means more for you. If what you need is more of an emotional and intellectual connection before physical, there is nothing wrong with that. Don't let other people prescribe to you how you should feel. I was there when I was your age, honestly.

I did read the post. I don't think that actually gets rid of the grudge.

I don't think holding petty grudges like that is going to be healthy for you psychologically in the long term. And that has nothing to do with feminism.

I watched 3 or 4 before completely losing interest. Yes, I am a clinical psychologist and I treat mainly anxiety and depression. His mythology based theories do not impress me. He also fancies himself a political theorist, but severely lacks knowledge of history of topics he tries to discuss. He makes up for it with his dogmatic prescriptive tone. For somebody like me, it just doesn't do anything, I write him off. But many young vulnerable guys with low self esteem are susceptible to such tactic…

"If you work with her and especially if you are her superior, NEXT." This particularly. Even if it is not rape, it constitutes sexual harassment, and you will lose your job and possibly career and wreck the company you work for while at it.

The post is literally called "all women".

I think you are generalizing too much. Just because you had that one experience, doesn't mean that all women are like that. Sounds short sighted. I'm sure you will downvote me for saying that, but I don't care.

Good thoughts brother, thank you for sharing.

I have a couple of buddies who got really screwed over by the system. I get it. I also know women (friends) who have gotten screwed. When I went through my divorce, there was not even a court hearing, because we are both descent people and wanted it all fair. But I think that's why it's so important to make the choice based on character and values. For us it was just that we were going in different directions in life and we are still on friendly terms. Life is long and sometimes people grow in d…

That's not true. I know women who pay child support when the child doesn't live with them.

If you do go through a separation, you will pay child support regardless of whether you are married or not. Or she will pay child support to you if the child or children live most of the time with you. There is just no way around that, and also it's not wrong, because children do need food, clothes, etc.

"Western women", whatever you mean by that, are not put off by sex. As several other brothers here mentioned, it is more likely you, not them. It sounds like you are playing victim. You might not be physically attractive, which in itself is not the end of the world. But this part: "If I'm going to increase my bank amount or go to the gym often, it's because I want to, but to do all these things are big commitments and time consuming" tells me that you have no motivation to accomplish things. So …

"Your friends, family, and girls will come and go. Keep them all close but realize you are the only thing that will be around forever so you should come first." You won't be around forever either.

Ok. Throw the rating scale out of your head to begin with, as it is subjective. Maybe the girl likes her boyfriend and not you not based on levels of skinniness but because they just have a better connection emotionally? Stop beating yourself up over that, it is not your fault, people are complex and what works for somebody might not be what you want for them to work for them. Focus on yourself, and you will meet somebody eventually that is just the right fit.

I think age has nothing to do with this. She can be 56 or 25, doesn't matter. It sounds like she is acting sporadically though and the bragging is a red flag.

I think working out is great for health and releasing endorphins and stimulating the brain no matter what. But it is not the solution to getting girls. It is a separate thing. I agree with OP.

Thanks for sharing your story bro, and I am sorry you are going through this. I've been in a similar situation before. Every little stupid thing I did wrong, like forgetting to turn off a light or forgetting one item at the store just caused hostility from her. If you are not familiar, what helped me, was reading John Gottman's research on relationships, he's been doing this for something like forty years. The worst enemy of a relationship is contempt. Once that sets in, there is no way back. So…

I dated a woman with BPD once. Of course I didn't know it at first, but pretty quickly the sporadic reactions, having to walk on eggshells because I wouldn't know what could set her off, made it clear. And then I found out about the childhood abuse. It is sad really, because it is not their fault, and it is pretty much untreatable.

Good post, you got most of it right I think. There are a couple of things from your bullet points that I slightly disagree with: "Raised by a single mother" is not necessarily an indicator. Also, "a tendency to over-share things with you when you barely know them" is not necessarily an indicator either. Some people are just extremely extraverted and don't have any other troubling signs. I want to add, what is at the core of BPD is a lack of a stable sense of self. They will change their entire w…

"Get your shit together" is not very useful advice.

MBTI is not based on cognitive theory. It has nothing to do with cognitive psychology. It was slapped together loosely based on Jung's writings and Big Five. And both are invalid.

Yes it is the same thing. Originated from the same place, even Jung didn't want to have anything to do with it, but then it got marketed and here we are.

argumentum ad verecundiam. (also known as: argument from authority, appeal to false authority, appeal to unqualified authority, argument from false authority, ipse dixit) Definition: Using an authority as evidence in your argument when the authority is not really an authority on the facts relevant to the argument. A psychologist telling you that nobody in the field of psychology takes a particular practitioner seriously is not appeal to authority.

Yep. And stating what my field of work is is not appeal to authority. Get your fallacies straight. Jung's ideas have been discredited completely for at least five decades. Furthermore, Peterson bases his advice on the Big Five personality type profile, which has been shown as invalid over and over again. It's as good as reading a horoscope. That's why I am saying he is a fraud.

Jordan Peterson is an opportunist and a fraud in so many ways. Nobody in the field of psychology takes him seriously. I am a psychologist. Please don't take his advice seriously.

It has been working really well actually. The key is finding someone who shares your core values, and then you can be equals.

You sound confused. If you don't like women, how are you then bisexual?

Some of my closest friends are women, some in relationships and some single. I think it really depends what circles are in and who you choose to associate with, not so much with gender.

Trying to pretend to be the less interested party doesn't work. What is the point? Temporary manipulation? I don't see how that would be satisfying in the long term.

So what you mean is that it is best if both like each other equally? Wouldn't that contain all the information of your post in just that? Okham's razor, use it here, there are a lot of us and I am not mocking what you said, just sayin, concise gets the message across best. Peace bro

You might be overthinking it and taking it too personally as a failure on your part. Maybe you didn't do anything wrong at all. She just had something else that "clicked" or whatever cheesy term for that very complex and unpredictable human attraction term is.
