If you had a family to support, there would be virtually no chance you could change what you do but im confident you could without them. if you were particularly poor, you may be working 2 jobs and extra hours as a result. Youre idealistic in my view. Do you think people know theyre entering a marriage with the wrong person? People change. For a woman that doesnt matter. If he changes and she leaves she still wins. If she changes and he leaves, she still wins. Conclusion, dont marry

I gotta say, i think a lot of you guys missed it. If the marriage is a traditional one, she has sacrificed her ability to bring a decent income because shes done the house role. My solution is to not have kids or get married but if i were married for 40 yrs and she had no work experience like the older generations of women, fair play to support her (but not lifestyle leisure....just to support her for a while)
