Are you saying that if you are naturally confident then you think you likely can eventually get the girl to be attracted even if she isn't at the current moment?
/r/seduction12/09/15 07:06 AM

I think the brain subconsciously "tags" a certain type of person without us knowing about it. Just make a conscious effort to talk to other types.

I'm saying i agree with your being concept because faking something you're not might not work. Okay, thanks for the tip.

Yeah, its hard to fake interest music for an extended amount of time. Could you please give specifics about how you are doing it? There's nothing wrong with saying that you are in fact talented or a steezy dresser.

Yeah but a person who could combine book smarts and street smarts is the type of person you want around. I kind of see your point though now though - the smarter a girl is, the more likely she will indefinitely put career and books ahead of enjoying time with you. Maybe you need to find an athletic, a music loving, or an outdoorsy girl. Just expand your options.

Please give us specifics about how you are doing it. Without specifics we can't implement anything. As for evoking emotions you are probably right, thats how singers / musicians do it.

Wait you've had up to 9 girls throw themselves at you? I dont really feel bad for you anymore hahaha. I've had a few "throw" themselves at me, I guess I am, oh god, I realize I do the same shit to girls as they do to me. Blowing them off with either disinterest or tepid interest.

The closest thing I've seen to polishing up your personality was the explanation of the male archetypes. I'm surprised I fit one of them almost to a tee.

I wish there was a guide to polishing up your personality. I can banter or make the usual questions about the person conversation, but sometimes it fizzles out and i dont know if it has to do with incompatibility with the other person or if its me. I suspect incompatibility though.

I've read about more experienced guys purposefully giving more eye contact as a way to purposefully single someone out and signal interest. I don't want to think about it as who looks away first because then its like a competition and it might help to think of it as being extra friendly. I'll just go for "a lot" of eye contact at first because it seems easier to think about it that way. What about frontal hugs in social circle situations at the stage where you haven't really gotten to know someo…

I studied classical but didn't belong in that world and I think that incongruence made it difficult for me. That said you might search other departments for creative women that are not musical.

I need some advice here. I have a similar issue but more so towards women I like. Its not neccessarily the attention they get that I am jealous of, but more so that they seem to have stronger social networks or success. I am perfectly aware it is because I have an interest in being on the same level or more successful than these women because it will help me attract more of a similar type. It doesn't really get me down, it motivates me to go forward but the feeling is intense. I don't even label…

Yeah, i know shorter guys that do well. Just looking for examples. I like long legs, creativity, very high intelligence and some bullshit advice are non solution solutions like "if your'e a 5-7 in looks as a guy don't swing for the fences". I also notice a discrepancy between internet dating and meeting people offline where you could easily make people forget about their checklists. I'm on my phone right now so its not as easy to link but as far as ltr / marriage material the report is that women tend to patient with scoping the guy out. I reject the frame that ltr / marriage material is automatically or neccessarily "beta". To be clear, I meant that women might take longer to warm up to a guy, not neccessarily to decide if he deserves a chance. Where as if a man feels like everything lines up when it comes to a particular girl, they might like her a lot right away. I've al…

I beat it. Don't start on difficult. Approach hired guns, old seniors, friends, and so on first. Don't try to make it difficult. Join clubs or organizations. Practice your introductions. Find local meetups. Start challenging yourself to make friends. Walk over. Introduce yourself, give a hand to shake. Start talking to girls you feel no attraction to. Do not try to escalate or be direct. Then, gradually talk to girls. At this point talking to an attractive girl in your extended social circle wil…

Theres explicit and implicit flirting. You are fn cute is explicit flirting. Implicit flirting might be anything from giving a little "too much" eye contact or sustained attention. Anything that might be out of the norm that makes them ask "are they singling me out or flirting"? Would be in this second category.

This got too deep for me. I am treating it as a theme not a goal. I don't want to depend overly much on anyone or anything in particular to motivate me, just the general idea of having options and being successful. Free will is still in the context of being human and responding to internal drives. Those deep drives are still there even if a particular girl or job doesnt work out.
/r/seduction03/09/15 07:56 AM

its an internal biological instinct. So what if it relates to the external world. Its still internal. I see nothing wrong with acknowledging it.

Generally if you make a good impression you might get put into her "warm" category. From there it is your job to present yourself as "romance zone" category. Some short 5 foot nothing guys can put themselves in the romancr category in 10 seconds. Depending on your actions over time and the logistics of the situation, she might get more warm. Generally women take longer to evaluate a man than vice versa. So no, don't expect clear interest, just get her to warm up to you and move forward. So if yo…

I might add to this reply later, but you pretty much explained why it is necessary to talk to a lot of girls. There have been a few girls I have vague or lukewarm feelings about that I never cared to much to pursue. Then there were a few that stick out clearly in my mind. I would have told my younger self to keep looking, especially a 22 year old. 22 is still really young, and I wouldn't try to make predictions for 30ish.
/r/seduction03/09/15 05:53 AM

See the problem is, without specifics, we don't know why situations don't work out. However, I think I answered your question - you don't really know how attracted a woman will be without putting your best foot forward, and some women take their time in evaluating a man. So you can't assume attraction is entirely predetermined, because we know it isn't. what type of job is this...just curious.

/r/seduction02/09/15 08:50 PM

you dont get it. What we are telling you is yes, women want a man with an interesting life even if it doesnt directly have anythjng to do with them. Why would they want a man with a boring life? Maybe your problem is that you are smart. Smart people are better at resisting basic ideas whenever they feel uncomfortable because they are better at generating objections that seem logical but aren't. Also, this a forum probably with mostly dudes. They speak agressively. Its not personal.
/r/seduction02/09/15 08:45 PM
1

I think you might be inexperienced and that is okay, youre still 19. However attraction can be a little bit mysterious. Talk to ten very pretty girls and you will realize even though they might all be attractive, subjective interpersonal chemistry comes into play. Some women "feel" right and vice versa. Therefore you will like a few of them much more than the others. Thats why you need to talk to them. Also your looks are somewhat controllable. People who don't think they are good looking ironic…
/r/seduction02/09/15 08:34 PM

Yeah but there are probably at least 100,000 girls around your age. Its tough to believe you've talked to more than 100 of them. Also, you have a horrible attitude - book clubs are filled with women. If you're not willing to expand your interests or options to meet women at all then you're going to have a tough time, especially if as you say, in your country you are having trouble finding geek girls. It becomes an excuse.
/r/seduction02/09/15 08:22 PM
1

There's a stat. 40% of gamers are women. Gaming is not something you post a picture of yourself doing online. You gotta talk to them to know. Talk to a lot of them. There's more to life than computing and video games. Maybe you should join a book club.
/r/seduction02/09/15 12:06 PM

I also read that women take longer to decide if they really like a guy. Aren't looks just about meeting her personal minimum standard for her to say yes to a first date?
/r/seduction02/09/15 09:39 AM
1

Its hard to believe there aren't any geek girls in a country of around 5 million people with a high human development index. Have you tried checking. What have you done to find geek girls?

Not sure what your question is, but yes it DOES matter how you play your hand and your hand does change through time. It is possible to influence attraction to some degree! As for original poster, you can't feel like you can do math until you can do math. So suck it up and do practice problems. Edit: downvoting without asking a question doesn't help anyone.

Personally I call that not being a challenge. Over investing sounds more like buying her gifts all the time. If you value yourself as a person you wouldn't put up with actual shit though. I would politely work it through.

Can you please be more specific? What type of girls are these? What type of guy is he? What do you look like? What type of guy are you? What exactly does "opening direct" mean? I have no idea why you would introduce a guy to pickup who obviously already has the skill. This was a frustrating read; this being online I have no idea exactly why there is a discrepancy in your success, or if the girls he's talking are actually that hot.

Whatever you are doing that you are referring to as "over investing", don't do it. This is such a vague question because you never explain what exactly you mean by over investing. I think you might be asking the wrong question. Instead of asking how you could improve your confidence you are wanting to hide it. I don't think women have some special sense. It's usually obvious, a confident/competent guy is more of a challenge, doesn't delay being direct or asking her out, is generally not awkward in his movement, talks clearly. It is generally easy to spot. Don't let this bother you, a little nervousness is not a big deal. Now if you keep chasing and throwing her attention …

I'm not talking about external forces, I view the motivation as an internal evolutionary force. If one girl doesn't like me I'd rather be in a strong position for attracting other girls who are my type. I guess the lesson here is to screen hard for logistics, and have a firm cutoff as to what doesn't work for you. As for your case it doesn't seem like entirely your fault so I get your point.

That depends on what the word geek means but here is what i suggest Local nerdfighteria chapters Coventions, geeky ones Geeky bars Be careful, women in comic book stores dont always want attention. Don't pretend like you don't know how to find them Highly academic girls, these make poor relationship material until the moment they reach that stage where they want to date because they study and work hard.

Your answer is kind of vague. It seems like you're implying you didnt want to try the long distance thing. To my understanding a woman with a high interest level that is highly invested in you will try to arrange a definite end to a ltr, pending any legal restrictions. I don't get your analogy at all. Calm down a bit, girls go through this too. I figured that the more ambitious and educated a woman is, the less time they will have to develop relationships. I got rejected once by a hot girl introduced by a mutual friend and it sucked just a little. However, she seemed to end up with a guy much more similar to her. They look too similar, like they could be related but hey! Whatever floats her boat! The lesson I learned? 1. I could improve my looks 2. Where i messed up was thinking there isn't a cuter girl out there who naturally shares my interests. Abundance mentality will give you perspective. Okay, i will explain it another way. Your response to things is basically saying "I cant" or "i feel discouraged". This is a mentally weak response. Hanging out with mentally strong people, you will pick up their habits. There is a study showing that if one person is overweight there is a significant chance someone else close to them is overweight. So my suggestion here is to change your psychology by changing your friends, your role models. Please tell me if you understand this concept. Pattern…

The art of bantering. Google it. Instead of becoming extroverted, you simply need to project just enough energy to make an interaction fun. Now as for talking, opening is simple, extend your hand and introduce yourself. They are socially obligated to respond - at least in western countries I think. If you are running out of things to talk about, yes some men can override that. However, people who naturally have a lot of common interests won't run out of things to talk about.

Tough love bro your mentality is fucked up. As a man you should value yourself even if things aren't perfect. That means remaining confident even if she doesn't reply. I would be careful with the nice guy/asshole pop psychology dichotomy. It really is about strong vs weak personalities. Strong personalities are a challenge, but you don't have to be an asshole to be a challenge. You're not an asshole for ignoring a girl. How could she miss you if you are always there.

You are being vague. Showing feelings is completely subjective from a reader standpoint. However i am just *guessing you are coming on too strong. Then don't. If she finds an excuse to talk to you, escalate but only to romantic situations like getting drinks or long walks haha If she clearly says she wants a communication flirt with her a little bit. One of my great regrets in life is that I am not a great escalator yet. The first problem is that I come from a no PDA culture. I have had two latin women escalate touch with me - locking arms and so forth. However as a man I feel like I don't know how to "kino escalate" or show a masculine polarity through hugs/touch. How do i figure this out? Should I just automatically be agressive about it and only back off when someone looks uncomfortable? Also, how much direct interest is too much? If i te…

The phillipines? I see. Its hilarious i read that situation almost perfectly. Here's the issue, it seems common that women take a longer brewing time to figure out if they like a guy - to see if he is a well adjusted, confident individual with a good future. Are you japanese or catholic or something? Why are these "confessions"? All you gotta do is say i think you're fn cute lets get some coffee sometime. Did you really crush on this girl? What exactly is a confession? One of my previous f ups was that a girl thought i was really "in love" with her when really that wasn't the case. I rephrased my question for clarity and simplicity. These are real people I'm meeting then adding to fb. I've decided to shut it down for a while, though i use FB to scout out real life events so can't avoid it entirely. Yeah i go out regularly. Anyway point is, I want to equalize the amount of high quality opportunities I have compared to an attractive member of the opposite sex, if FB motivates me to do that its not entirely a watse of energy to think about. You're using jokes to frame or suggest something. Its a specific type of flirtation. You can also tell a woman a compliment, that's a different type of flirtation. What I'm asking if you plant an idea directly or indirectly, is it more likely to grow than if you didn't.

I read all this talk about how men recover more slowly from break ups and one reason they suggested was because women usually have the role of being chased so they get more attention. However isn't it also true that women who are looking for that awesome guy - that mostly has it all (a positive combination of "alpha/beta" traits) - that while she holds the keys to sex he holds the keys to relationships and marriage? It seems completely unintuitive to me to say women have all the power. Guys also…

I have gotten boyfriend mentions after telling a girl she's gorgeous, other than that I'm not sure what you mean by be "sexual". I would love to incorporate body language (kino) escalation in my repertoire though again, im not from a PDA family/culture so I don't know how to do this naturally. Isn't it better to just offer drinks or starbucks immediately or immediately after (whatever) and let her communicate alternate logistics if she is interested?
/r/seduction14/08/15 07:51 AM

Got it - hence my question about instadates. I realized that's essentially where I went wrong, though it definitely is not that serious in the grand scheme of things. So lets say you get a rejection... The typical advice i've gotten is that if she's not overall negative about you then persistence is a choice. Lastly why would the street next to starbucks be a better place? I get it, its our job as men (assuming its mostly guys here) to escalate so even if you were raised in a family or culture w…

Of course it sounds different? Yep, I'm still learning all of this and sometimes forget that starbucks is on every corner. Can you escalate a kiss close at starbucks? Maybe its just me - i have a thing about public displays.
/r/seduction13/08/15 07:25 PM

I see, because she might instadate you anyway if she already has a boyfriend then you're the instigator haha. I sort of just expect them to mention they have a boyfriend usually. Logisitics is simple starbucks is everywhere. (You must mean her logistics)?
/r/seduction13/08/15 07:22 PM

Other than when she's laughing or a high point in the conversation, is there a correct timing for asking for an instadate or should we just go for it? Worst that could happen is that she pulls the I have a boyfriend line right.

Go out and talk to people its not complicated. You need to google "the art of banter" and maybe listen to the grace helbig's podcasts (shes great at banter), but you need to make it situationally appropriate. At some point you need to learn how to ask "get to know you" questions but banter is what makes you not boring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmU6bCZrJno There are millions of people, attractive girls included that do not figure out how to be cool or social by the end of high school. Real…

This is a very broad question but in general mentioning other girls, politics, religion, stuff like that too early is a turn off. Otherwise there is an art to banter and situational banter. Saying hello you're gorgeous is in fact, a little risky (key word: little). However everything is risk vs reward and most girls will respond positively to it. I might drop it a little bit later in the conversation.
/r/seduction09/08/15 09:01 AM

The nerds have won the culture wars - you can be a nerd and be cool. Just not a "dork". Rest assured high school is NOT the rest of your life and chances are you won't see most of them much after high school. There are plenty of nerdy girls around, there are conventions full of nerdy people, facebook groups... And so on. You just have to practice your social skills. Maybe you should start a manga club and embrace your uniqueness. Then you will be the leader of your social group. Maybe you should…

Another question is, i saw this girl working at the mall. Now i know... Hired guns have to be nice to you. But how would you handle this situation. Is it weird to come back just because i want to talk to this girl? I'm not one of those overly persistent people that cant take a hint tho.

Try continuing the conversation instead of something like what's up. Other than that it could be any reason including she's taking a nap to she's not interested. Edit: personal feelings are very subjective. Maybe you think you hit it off, but she didn't.

If you can't change it, just accept it. The trick is to remember you don't get to make decisions for other people - its up to them what a deal breaker is - its not up to you.

Met someone at a concert, who was also a part of my social network. I came late intentionally (its like a 4 hour concert). We talk during the breaks in between bands. I think we hit it off, but I play it cool. She leaves early (apparently she always does this). It's tricky in group social situations whether you should take your time or be quick, as they could hang around for hours or just disappear. Edit: in this case it was just a brief chat. Later I add her on fb, she likes my profile pictures…

What if you're the type of person who genuinely doesn't care too much about popularity. I guess they will still know if you have status or not. You could be a not very social royal but you'd still be a royal.

Don't you think #4 is acceptable when you're already good friends with someone and they give you the go ahead? I would rather have my friends tell me what the correct thing is (in an aside, not in front of people), than to repeat the mistake constantly. I know this thread is about "hook ups" though so it applies 100% 7 agreed 100%.
/r/seduction17/04/12 05:54 PM

There was an article I read about this a long time ago. I can't find it anymore. But the idea behind the article was that it is not always accepted that communicating quickly = smarter. The answer is simple: slow down.

she is supposed to know you are hitting on her (usually). you are not a ninja. you're supposed to feel fear, but laugh at it anyway. you have to accept that messing up is funny and not serious, then you can improve. you're supposed to have "issues". you think successful people don't have issues? they have more issues, not less.
/r/seduction27/03/12 12:11 AM

Basically you just repeat something friendly like "have a quick chat" without following her. See tip below.
/r/seduction26/03/12 10:30 PM

once again, awesome job. check out my tip below. in my experience unless the woman is already seated you might have to expect that they will continue walking on unless you cue them to not (in a friendly way)
/r/seduction26/03/12 07:48 AM
1

If she wasn't walking when she said thanks - or if she wasn't - I think the right response was to say "have a quick chat" (maybe repeat a few times if she's walking away). But do NOT follow her (scary to someone not as strong as you), do not fully face her (have one leg pointed away) let her make up her mind, and once she starts responding you could square up your body language to her.

if you don't like touch just keep it to a minimal. just enough to get results, but not so much you feel awkward. society wants introverts to extroverts. I disagree with this. introversion is a valid personality type, not a failure to be extroverted. I don't like too much touching myself and keep it to a minimal.

/r/seduction21/03/12 06:54 PM

cisco windbreaker suit? you mean out to bars? okcupid shouldn't be used to hide from fear of approaching which is what it sounds like. its ironic, often times the people who need something the most are the least interested.

/r/seduction20/03/12 10:15 PM

interesting. my friends seem okay at it, but advanced pick up still seems on another level compared to these guys. They're not likely to take it seriously because to most people its a foreign way of thinking to say, its possible for me to get that girl that seems to be "out of my league" (and they'd have to admit it) not that its possible for all men, but i think you get what i mean.
/r/seduction20/03/12 09:29 PM
1

why aren't friends interested in pick up? i've never figured this out. my friends do "fine" with women, but I've always wondered if they would stay with their mates if they were really good at pickup. maybe they would because they legitimately found somebody they really like, but who knows what their viewpoint would be if they were really good at pick up.

yup... "i uphold the dignity of humanity by improving their well being and sustaining their lifespan...by accurately diagnosing patients and prescribing medicines" her: "so are you a doctor?" you: "a very, very, well educated doctor" (straight face)

I just came up with this one: "has anyone ever told you how sexy...I look tonight?"

yupp, you want to pause where i put the ... for comic effect
/r/seduction17/03/12 02:31 AM

its how you talk about it. steve jobs would say something like "magical" or "revolutionary" or "make a ding in the universe" the others just said "25 gigabytes". so if you're a security guard, say "I defend the weak and uphold justice"... by watching surveillance cameras all day. or something like that ETA: i personally draw the line at comic exaggerations/messing up the details, but outright lying about the big parts of the story isn't cool.
/r/seduction17/03/12 02:22 AM

not complicated. get better stories. ETA: try adding a plot twist
/r/seduction17/03/12 02:20 AM

/r/seduction17/03/12 01:04 AM

talking platonically is a great way to improve your confidence. women will sometimes show that they're interested or at least act friendly. Especially if you're well dressed and groomed. keep in mind some women won't be friendly and you'll be fine. eventually though, you'll pick up on how flirting is done, when its done well and when it isn't.

They just be cool you know. it ain't that copmlicated
/r/seduction16/03/12 11:51 PM

learn to laugh at it and you'll be fine. another way to look at this is being a fun maker. keep the approach fun and light. literal pick ups are not recommended for the beginner. most women are polite and won't "reject you badly."
/r/seduction16/03/12 11:46 PM
2

scrapped the whole messaged in favor of something simpler. apply systematic desensitization to approaching women. you're simply afraid of messing up and making it out to be such a big deal. watch this all star mess up and how the other players laugh at him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_qupQ7dG3I&feature=fvst now imagine being that person and being laughed at. when you could see the humor in this you won't be so afraid to approach women. just keep it classy with the women and be gracious even …
/r/seduction16/03/12 11:22 PM

keep it light and fun. if she seems to like you, get the number. once you get the number text her, be decisive.
/r/seduction16/03/12 11:14 PM
3

I'm going to elaborate on systematic desensitization. make a list of 10 or 20 steps. start easy and progress. example: call a family member call an old friend talk to cashiers volunteer with old people go out with friends talk to your friends friends. and so on, until you start talking to girls that you don't find attractive. learn how to laugh at your failures. you can spread the task out over several days.

Nice and good are really vague words that don't mean anything. Elaborate. Nothing confusing about not wanting every woman. Attraction in women depends on the following: Your looks / fitness / style / height Your personality boring vs interesting and fun Your commonalities and how well you relate Your other positive traits - from intelligence to artisitc ability and so on. Unfortunately your description of yourself is too vauge for precise advise. However if you're boring, average looking, and do…

so...if they ask you if you go to this college, you say..you're just hanging out? Its just that a lot of college hallways are...you gotta come at the exact right time for that traffic to come through. People commute, they don't hang around there often. Happy to hear I'm not the only one who finds suburbia a strange idea. Why would you want to live in an area where you can't easily access interesting? I'm no longer in college. Moving might be a great idea. Strangely I don't want to go to Austin even though I love music (don't like being inundated with developing artists, as NPR/the internets inundate me with good content already) but it might be smart choice to be around other young people. Are you in college? I am no longer in college, though going to local college events (art showings, plays, etc) might not be a bad idea. Actually hanging around colleges, might seem strange to me though, for the same reason - i'm not in college anymore. It might be okay if I can find a spot that has a lot of college people foot traffic where they hang out - or perhaps a nearby cafe or something.
