Right. That's not what I claimed. I agree, and hence, even the statement itself "there's no objective truth" is fuzzy.

Define gender. If the number of categories of gender is defined by the number of categories of gametes, which are binary, then sure.

Ok I understand the filing of CVs for him, because he probably hasn't been keeping up with the technology. But, how did you edit the CV to align his experience to the job application. No way you sprayed and prayed that and got a job that quickly. I'm also assuming he got a job in his industry, is that correct?

That makes you think how "right" Islam had it and how forward minded it was rather than backward minded. Please don't downvote me, I am saying it as half preaching, half self reflection. If y'all think this is the dumbest take ever, sure you can say that and move on. But if it makes you think for a second, then great. I'm not here for long debates on what Islam is, what it isn't, I'm just stating an idea, I could be wrong.

Thank you. I really needed to hear this perspective. I just fell into the mental trap of thinking all women think one way, anti male. Nice to see a reminder of the alternative possibilities. I also like what you said about the hive mind. I remember telling this observation that you said to other women on Reddit as a guy, and I was bombarded with insults. Telling me I'm an incel, I never talked to women, loser, they could "tell" how little experience I have, etc.

Is that an anecdote or fact? Let's pipe your own words back at you. You are essentially saying if women kill, then they didn't have any other option. Neglecting the argument that if men kill, then they don't have any option. For both it could be true but also false. I don't know how you are going to prove "any other option" for "most women". And disapprove the other.

That right there is a logical fallacy. Suppose there were more cases of male DV than female DV. This does not lead to female DV being right. And it certainly doesn't lead to justifying female DV. This is like saying to a woman, men suicide more. So cheer up butter cup, your suicide attempts mean nothing.

Sometimes I feel like even if I wanted to get better, as in seeing women in a more positive light, rather than see them so negatively, I couldn't even if I tried. The Two X Chromosomes subreddit, which Reddit and the world thinks of as a neutral feminist subreddit, have some horrible stuff on men. And that stuff comes up even in r/all. Like that subreddit which is radicalized, is treated on the same level of virtue as r/aww. I had to look this subreddit up, but I was familiar with the Two X Chro…

Karma points matter, but not for the reasons you think. This is sort of changing the topic but it is super important to address. There are many subreddits out there where they have it in their wiki or main rules section that you are not even allowed to post if your Karma is too low. I never cared about Karma, until my posts kept getting removed by moderators in certain subreddits. I know that there was an incel exit Reddit that would remove posts AND comments on posts because either your Karma w…

Absolutely true! Take my upvote! One thing I see here is the acknowledgment that women bully knowing that they won't get in trouble from everybody. And I really like that and thank you all for sharing. But one thing that hasn't been talked about here, and generally, is the sadistic mind of a woman. I know that Dr. Jordan Peterson is a controversial figure but he talked about how young males are often punished for their physical bullying, but young women often engage in social bullying that is of…

I find it absolutely crazy that men pay more taxes (because they make more income) yet there are many laws in the legal and justice system that punish men significantly more than women, even though their income comes from the government, hence comes from the men. Like we are their biggest customers?? Think about it, the government that we pay for, more than women, yet women are treated much more favorably. Men pay for a system in which we are discriminated against. Child custody battles, divorce…

Damn man that's awful. You have to start fighting actively. Record, document, whatever you can. Record conversations secretly. Grab anything you can, and be proactive in calling it out. Talk to a therapist or counselor, I hope they can lead you in the right direction. Record them too so if they laugh at you, you can sue them. Obviously I'm just a Redditor take my advice with salt.

I understand that one can use the counter to malevolent compliance and no one who is nontoxic would need that arrangement. But the point of the counter isn't to dominate the other with submission as the counter argument suggests. The point is that their "rule" is absurd because it can lead to other conclusions that are also absurd. It's sort of like, "IF this ridiculous rule is true, THEN this other ridiculous rule is also a true" type of argument. My point isn't to actually say what men and wom…

You nailed it. The whole point was to take this logically. Because their argument is disguised as "sensible" and "fair", which I wanted to show it is not. But yeah, if they aren't willing to be sensible or try to be, then I don't know what else one can do. It's okay to make your choices and "give it to them" if that is what you and the lady wants. I do not have an issue with that. I have an issue when something like this is called fair and reasonable, and calling a man "greedy", "selfish a**hole…

Yes, you got it right. My objective wasn't to extend my philosophy for others to adopt. Of course relationships are more complex and dynamic than simple rules here and there. It was to pose a counterargument to an artificial framework that women put up for the sole reason of monetary gain. You nailed it, it is definitely a "tit for tat" argument. I am merely reflecting their artificial framework with another that challenges their perspective. That there is no inherent "truth" or "right" way, or …

Weirdly I don't think we disagree but I think you want to lol. In fact, your framework eventually converges into my framework, while I will explain how. Ok, suppose you are right. This right here is not only an awful rhetoric to silence male victims but also defies logic. Suppose I see the strongest man on the street. I go up to him and call him a dirty a** and slap him right across the cheek. He gets so mad at me that he punches both of my arms so hard it causes muscle damage. Regardless of the state of his action, the wrong thing is to lay your hands in the first place, period. If the argument is that he escalated it, one can also say I escalated it from non violence to…

Gynocentrism. Women are beautiful special ornaments in which all her flaws are beautiful. Men are cheap disposable trash, who have no "higher forms of thinking" like sympathy and empathy and are not deserving of such. Men are seen as ogres, lower class, like pigs, kill one of the ones that are acting unruly, in contrast to women who are delicate little flowers, who must be treated with gentle and care.

Well looks like I better get hobbies that I secretly don't like so I can potentially find a partner but totally pretend like I'm into that social hobby. Great, sounds wonderful...

The problem is that this only works if you have a hobby that is also sociable. Meaning that you are forced to pick a specific type of hobby. If someone doesn't like many sociable hobby, then what? Then there is no answer. Suppose someone picks a social hobby out of force. They are still screwed because he will be so uninterested and the people in the group will be able to read it. Damn if you do, damn if you don't. If he chooses to pursue a hobby he likes (solitary, like going on Reddit, watchin…

Do you include ADHD folks in as well. To be fair, I went through many websites and looked for the most reputable tests I could find. And I scored really high on Autism. So I went to the doctor, and he declared that I have ADHD and started me on Vyvanse. I should probably get a second opinion or third opinion, because I consistently score high on Autism. I think I have both because Vyvanse has made my life so much better. I tell people I am officially diagnosed as ADHD but self diagnosed as ADHD …

I disagree. Ideally both men and women should be left to their own devices. Let the free market dictate what they want to become, not scholarships. Work needs to be done on reducing discrimination. Forcing women to take Hard Science courses when they are much more interested in Arts and Design is not only a waste of time and money, but also bad for the economy. Look at Paris, and South Korea, high emphasis on fashion and style. Women also have biological advantages in certain fields, as do men. …

Thank you, I do try to venture out. But watching my karma fall way below negative in some of the, "neutral"ish subreddits, made me reconsider a little bit. Yeah you got to keep an eye on that, and delete if the downvotes are going too far. I never cared about karma but some subreddits use karma to filter people out. I think we should continue to support each other. Liking posts, comments, etc. Being actively involved can make us stronger here, to then pursue outwards.

He isn't creating an imaginary scenario. He's pointing out a double standard. That is his argument. Reactions to a cause must not change due to one's gender. But it does. I'm sorry, may I ask, what do you define as an argument?

The fact that you got so mad, which is evident by your tone, says to me that you do not have a great personality. Like I said before, people with great personality are pro social that they can, and do socialize with people, even if their perspectives are different. You do not show that at all, you show anti-social traits here. Anti-social traits include insulting, self-interest seeking, mockery. I can't believe that you are a woman in real life, who is posting the comment you just did. From my personal experience, the longer I go on without a release, the more stronger the urges are. Maybe I am addicted or whatever, so I don't know. But soldiers who win the war, often get a bit crazy for sex until the UN steps in for accountability. I wondered if it was because these soldiers haven't got dat time to release the tension "down there", if you know what I mean?

I completely agree with you. When I stated "her side of the bargain" I meant that hypothetically, if she was willing to compensate in some way form or another. Like she gave you a massage during the date, or really anything. So if she is really opposed to paying for it, she can pay for it in other ways to keep it balanced and fair. But like you said, since it is not societally acceptable to assume a woman owes anything. This narrative is wrong and should be challenged.
/r/MensRights30/09/23 08:46 PM

I do agree with you, but this is a whole entire issue that needs to be dealt with. The wording of "taking someone out" does sound like you are going to treat them. And I think that's the issue. The issue is that when a man says "hey let's get out to eat together" this is taken as less romantic than "I want to take you out to dinner". Why is that? Why is the setting of man paying for the date considered more romantic that splitting it? Why can't men and women mutually agree to contribute to an ex…

Exactly! Even trying to put all this men's rights in the back window for now, and considering feminism, it still doesn't make sense. It's okay to want the man to pay if you as a woman are going to pay back, and make it clear on the first date. Just so he knows he isn't being taken advantage of. Instead, some woman (not all) say that a man is supposed to take the risk. How many women would take the same kind of deal? Also, to add on this further. Usually sociologists villainize men but there are …

I disagree with this narrative. When one invites another member to an event, both of them are engaging in a mutually beneficial activity. The invitee accepts the offer of the invitation if she feels that the activity is beneficial for her. In fact she is befitting more, as she is not carrying the burden of invitation, AND she is benefiting from the interaction. If she wasn't benefiting from the interaction, she should not go to the date. I would have agreed with you if the woman is invited to do…

I agree brother! Hitting men is seen as hitting an inanimate object like a TV, like it's a normal thing, like this is what you are supposed to do. But for some reason it's not normal to treat women the same way? Is this patriarchy? We live in a world where hitting women can stop the world from turning, but hitting men is so ordinary. Why do we men allow that? From women, and from each other? It's so fu* wrong!

I do disagree, but I will try to restate my argument a little more clearly. Let's suppose there are two creatures, a and b. And they are subjected to the external environments A for a, and B for b. One of the fundamental basis of evolutionary science, or the theory of evolution by Charles Darwin is that the characteristics of any creature is the result of adapting to the environment. Therefore we can conclude that the characteristics of "a" are the result of external environment A, and the chara…

You are the one being untrue here. Men and women do have biological roles for which they were evolved into. But the astronomical difference between the two genders isn't explained by just childbirth. A woman does not go into childbirth forever! Only until a short span of time compared to her entire life. Ironically you are insulting women here. There have been few women in the past who were hunters, who were able to go in the wild and survive. Women had that choice, but they didn't take that cho…

I'm not going to answer exactly. But you must remember that just because you did these acts and saved these men from the labels, doesn't break their identity. Statistically, you are a huge huge huge exception to the majority of women. If 1 in a million million found a person attractive enough to pursue them, doesn't change 99.999% of the interactions they experience. I have never experienced that, nor anyone I know. In fact, reading your story... genuinely I don't believe you. This is like if yo…

Men may make more than woman, but just because they do doesn't mean it is due to patriarchy, or that it is unequal. If you can't figure that out the possible reasons, if you can't understand how statistics are conducted, how conclusions are made, if you can't go deep into the methods of research and the biases, then you are no more than sheep in a herd. I wish I can do actionable things in society. But I don't know what I can. Politicians don't care about men's rights, talking about it can lead to discrimination, especially when women are involved in project management and hiring.
