How would you advice a guy in his early twenties to date?I don’t mean to be a pessimist but Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are more or less equal financially and career wise and look what Jolie did to him. I know that’s not the best example. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/21 03:50 PM
Is marriage worth it?some people get into marriages with people they don’t really love just to get in the position to push that button. Oh you mean some women have this as their hidden agenda? So if a man can find a woman without this agenda, he’s in the minority like there’s not that many women like that? | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/09/21 05:34 AM
Is marriage worth it?Female here. Yours is the only post that wasn’t a hard no lol I would be open to it but I’m not actively seeking it out like I was when I was younger. I really wanted to get married when I was young. Looking back, it was because I was insecure and wanted a “break up proof” relationship. In hindsight that is obviously a dumb frame of mind. What did you mean by break up proof relationship? but in many ways I put the burden of the relationship on my ex, content to just drift along in life Can you e… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/09/21 03:48 AM

How do I find myself?Try whatever interests you. There’s no pressure in finding a hobby. That’s why it’s a hobby. Learn a new language. Glass blowing. Archery is good too. Personally, if I had all the time in the world, I’d pick up painting, maybe oil or watercolor. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/02/21 02:29 PM

STILL LOVE HER BUT CAN'T STAND HER. Should I go through with the divorce?I’m a little confused. What is it you love about her if you detest her presence? | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/21 08:09 PM
Laws are so broken. That’s just evil. Of all the things she and her mom could be selfish, it doesn’t have to be food. That’s so wrong. Hang in there. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/01/21 02:23 AM
Laws are so broken. The older I get, the more I’m beginning to realize this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/01/21 02:08 AM
Laws are so broken.$1800 a month?!? That’s insane. I don’t know you so this may sound strange but for my morning prayer tomorrow, I’ll offer it to you and pray things work out. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/01/21 02:06 AM
Laws are so broken.Oh wow. I am so sorry. Is the $3000 every month? That’s crazy. I’m scared to get married. Ever. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/01/21 01:57 AM
When does the pain stopBecause divorce is like grieving. It’s like someone passed away. I’m sorry. No offense to the ex. But the actress Dame Judy Dench said it best years ago...when her husband passed away, she said yes to every script that came her way as part of her grieving process. In your case OP... there will come a time when you’re done grieving and ready and refreshed to start a new life...the money helps when that time comes because you’ll feel like a new man! | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/20 05:46 PM
When does the pain stopGet a second job. It will fill up your time and keep you tired and busy and fill up your savings. Money does buy happiness. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/20 04:16 PM
TX - need help figuring things outI’m going out on a limb here but I think she’s having an affair and her mood swings and erratic behavior are based on the fact that she’s waiting for some sort of assurance from the other guy. That happened with one of my girlfriends. She’s been married for 10-12 years then she started acting strange because later on, she admitted to me that she’s planning on leaving her husband for her former high school boyfriend. When the plan kept getting postponed, her outlook and behavior would changed. Th… | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/09/20 08:10 PM
TX - need help figuring things outFemale here (don’t know if that matters). IMO, you should sell the house. Given that her name is listed as a part-owner (doesn’t really matter if she helped pay the mortgage), she’s entitled to a share of the sale. I would sell the house because then you can show the judge that you’re a more competent and stable parent since you can afford and maintain a residence so you have more weight in asking for full custody. Also, women like her usually have other personal issues like drug dependency. You… | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/09/20 01:26 PM
Pre-nup Alternatives?Just to clarify. I bought a house here in the US and it is only under my name from the time I bought it 6 years ago to this day. I have been the only one paying for it. In addition, my IRA and 401ks are all under my name. He has his own pension with the union but no house. Do I still need a prenup or is that enough to protect me since all my assets pre-wedding are under my name? Because we’ve been dating for more than a year and we’re now discussing marriage and weddings. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/07/20 07:41 PM
*WARNING*. Guys... even if you have a good lawyer, pay attention to what they are doing with your case....I wouldn’t rely on reviews | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/07/20 04:15 AM

What I learned from being marriedThis. I thought my parents were happily married but now that they’re approaching their 70s, they only stayed married because divorce costs too much for them. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/03/20 05:32 AM
Dating while separated?I’m single, never been married with no kids and dated a man who was separated and going through a divorce. I highly don’t recommend it. He was so caught up in the divorce process and with fighting over custody that every single conversation was about his ex wife. I’ve never met the woman but it was like having a third person in the relationship. He was probably a great guy but it was just difficult because his ex wife called the shots and knew which buttons to push so it affected our opportunity… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/11/19 05:15 AM
