When I first started meditating and learning to be present what really helped me was to observe and feel the sensations of the body. When anxiety was present I wouldn't push it away. I would pay attention to where I felt anxiety, the intensity of it, and whether it moved or stayed on the same place. By bringing your attention to the sensations of your body you bring yourself into the present moment and out of your head.

Now I tend to be more assertive but fall into aggressive communication if it's a touchy subject. There's a lot of really confident guys out there that don't know how to communicate assertively. They're so used to overpowering everybody that they become bad communicators.

They will all end. So instead of crying or wishing things were different when they change we understand that all things inevitably end so we are not so affected by these things. Reminds me of a story: Before saying a word, he motioned to a glass at his side. “Do you see this glass?” he asked us. “I l…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
