I found a local university, got a government scholarship to help pay with tuition, and found a job that has housing benefits. The degree will help me enter the job market, but as most people on this sub, the goal is to find a provider husband. The degree will be my back-up safety net. I did have to sacrifice my normal Western American lifestyle that I’m used to, but just like you, I also valued finding a partner with the same cultural ways, so that means trading typical comforts for the marriage…

If moving out of the US is not an option, try moving to a region that has a high concentration of people from your culture. For example, a lot of Arabs live in Michigan; Central Americans live on the west coast; Caribbeans live in Florida; etc. However, I can speak to your exact situation. I was a first generation immigrant from my father. He moved to the US to give me a better life, but I was finding dating extremely hard. I primarily grew up in the suburbs and most American men weren’t attract…

The same things you are experiencing in HR is exactly what you will get in the education and medical field. Most teachers are leaving education right now because they are having to act as the third parent for these kids. Parents aren't parenting anymore and putting all the onus on the public school. I don't recommend education at all for someone like you who doesn't have the bandwidth to do more than their job description. On the other hand, nursing or any medical profession is not for the faint…

Considering that you are looking for a partner who shares your cultural values, I highly recommend putting yourself in a country that has exactly that. If you don't want an American man, don't live in America. Yes, America is a melting pot full of many different ethnicities, but the amount of variety is probably causing you to have to weed through the dating pool a lot more in comparison to if you were living in your home country. Having to take those extra steps in the dating process is probabl…

Yes, your sex history does impact your future partners/marriage and you should be conscious of who you lay with. Losing your virginity once and never having sex again is not as big of a deal in hindsight. If all that man cared about was your virginity status, then he wasn't a real man because there's so much more to a marriage than the woman's virginity. You need to contribute other skills like cooking, cleaning, nurturing, organization, beauty, etc. Choose a man who will look past this because …

Your mistake is that you're desperate. It's very obvious that you want a relationship, especially a committed one that ends in marriage. Unfortunately, in your desperation, you compromised your morals and values. Secondly, just because a man tells you he loves you, misses you, etc. doesn't mean he actually does. Do not take a man for his words, but rather his actions. He says he loves you, but is he actually putting in effort to show his love? No, because like you said, he's entertaining other g…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
