These guidelines won't really work so well in Eastern Countries. We have a different culture and people. Plus there's so much insecurity (physical not mental). People don't feel safe with strangers and prefer to continue the societal norms. This is just my opinion because my parents are from Pakistan. I was born and raised in the US. I could see the difference between the two of cultures. And I'm a blend of both.

When my GF asked me out she said it's not just for sex. She said she wants a real relationship. I said ok and we are still dating. She's 7 to 8 in looks. I consider myself 4 to 5. I didn't think anything less of her or myself for not initiating first. I don't think anything of gender roles. They're very outdated. Just be honest with your feelings and actions.

There are other factors that go into it too such as race. I noticed it's easier for white guys to get dates on Tinder than people of other ethnic backgrounds, but it's not like that's a reason for me to not try anyway.
