Sometimes it is very seductive to believe you have certainty and answers to everything, even if all the answers are horrible. Regarding studies, there’s the phrase “There’s lies, damned lies, and statistics.” The truth is often less extreme than either the extreme black pill or a very positive viewpoint. It is often in the middle, and often the things you are paranoid about are just not really true, all that much. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. They say neuroticism is the inability to accept…

Stoicism is so over fetishized on this website. There are better philosophies than being immovable. I also can’t stand how the practitioners act like they’re gods above human pettiness.

I agree with the basic identifying of a problem, women chasing men and being one of the guys isn’t getting results. Just don’t get rigidly stuck on extraneous ideas or only read that source. I’ve seen good stuff there, but also women blatantly just in toxic relationships that no amount of submission will fix.

Honestly you’re correct that you needed different behavior if you wanted a real thing, but RPW isn’t the only way. Most men on here say they want equality, but the reality is most men really prefer inequality so they can take care of you; the other thing is that you’re THE WOMAN, you don’t have to be perfectly logical, you can trust your intuition, you can change your mind, and insist on the best in love. Women who try to act cool get friended, women who aren’t afraid to be “irrational” women (i…

Before rp, having a change on heart based on a new assessment of human nature and truth was called “conversion.” RP is comparable to a religion in many ways.

I agree. I hope that you’re wrong about him missing his ex. Some people even find security and a man who loves them. Of course there is always a price, it can be many things though.

I am very practical too, and I’m glad you have security, I just wouldn’t settle for a guy who considered someone else to be his peak romantic experience. If it works for you it’s fine, but you’re in no position to preach about other people’s low standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/19 06:24 PM

I know that. I’m pretty sure it’s you, I saw you comment that your husband is the love of your life, but you believe you aren’t his and his ex is the love of his life. That’s a very low standard and sad.

Just because something is harsh doesn’t mean it’s true. Happy people are magnanimous, not withholding of courtesy. You say people won’t get out of their comfort zones out of fear of getting hurt. That’s red pill to a T. Just become a stoic and unfeelingly hold frame, never care for someone.

Are you saying blue pill people have some kind of normie privilege? I think it’s a mistake to give red pill too much credit for simply having their eyes open or observing relationship concerns and fears. Because they identify a problem, many young men are drawn to it, but the solution they propose is missing the mark.

Why does it say 5’6” woman needs 16k more then? I can see why a shorter guy would want a shorter woman, but most guys online especially rp always talk about wanting tall sons so wanting to marry a medium/taller woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/19 06:33 PM

Wait, what’s up with the 5’6” woman needing 16k extra? Since when do men care about women’s income, and since when is 5’6” too tall for a woman? This chart makes it appear that men all prefer short women, unless I’m reading it wrong. That’s not really accurate.

SMV and leagues are different. I dislike reducing people to a value like that, but SMV doesn’t mean someone won’t date above or below their league. People talk as if everyone is a blank slate from a generically functional family, an extrovert whose goal in life is to make money, party, and be powerful in the world and indulge their vanity. Maybe if everyone was like this, leagues would be predictable. But what about the nerdy guy who had a lot of responsibilities and is now fit and mature and ma…

As someone who has modeled, my number one advice is to talk to her in a real way, do not suck up. RP will tell you the way to do this is to insult her or flirt with other women. That isn’t the nicest or most effective way. Imagine she is your sister or your bro. Just speak to her normally and listen to her thoughts. Beautiful women live life trapped in a cage of sorts. Either suck ups, or people keep distance, it’s lonely. She will most likely fall in love with someone who sees her as a person. …

None of those things are respect. Beauty causes many distinctions, respect is not one of them. If anything there’s more objectification and not being taken seriously. Just spend time on Reddit to see what many people believe about attractive people; that they are all selfish, have no personality, shallow, have no problems.

/r/ExRedPill23/12/18 11:42 PM

Yes it does. It doesn’t matter what method they choose to make it seem tailored to you. MBTI descriptions are just as general as astrology descriptions, and are just as universal experiences. The method doesn’t matter whether it’s cold reading or there’s a test first, it’s the descriptions that matter. Trust me I know a lot more about how both work so I wouldn’t try to lecture me on how it works.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/18 04:28 PM

I am a religious person but I think astrology is not only not accurate, but dangerous. It’s very fatalistic and often bases negative assessments of people on the notion that they were bad in a past life.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/18 04:31 AM
2

You really didn’t need to write a long essay to explain that horoscopes are randomly assigned and MBTI has a quiz first. The reason they are not that different is they exploit the Barnum effect whereby when you tell someone a “reading” is personally tailored to them, they perceive it to be very accurate. Even when everyone in the room had the same reading. They just describe common human feelings.

Yes this is a little true. Usually those guys have a basis of warmth towards the person/people in general, and then they also might have a rapport with the person they are teasing. The words are just an overflow of that playful dynamic. PUAs took the words first divorced from the friendly connection. That’s why it only works in clubs and stuff on women who were already open to flirting. And even then I’m pretty sure it doesn’t always work. It’s the spirit of it—mean spirited and trying to take a…

I agree with last paragraph. I wish it was still acceptable to have multiple boyfriends until you get a proposal. Women held more cards that way. Your advice above about about spending 20s recovering rather than dating, that’s what the topic was. Not sure how I’m a victim when I’m talking hypotheticals here. My impression is that TRP basically writes off any woman with any kind of what they consider damage, and doesn’t make a distinction between damage from her decisions vs damage from unfortunate circumstances. Am confirming if that’s true.
/r/RedPillWomen22/09/18 04:32 PM

So your advice kind of shoots her in the foot then unless the man is very...wise? Is the philosophy basically that woman from hard childhood basically are screwed and shouldn’t have a man?

Serious question...if a woman from an abusive home spent her 20s recovering and didn’t marry, maybe had a boyfriend or two but it ended....and had to resolve all the trauma and is now in her 30s...won’t you guys just assume the same thing about how she must have rode the CC and should have found a man while she was still very young...?

First of all comparing abuse isn’t helpful. Second of all, I’m not sure he was trying to suggest you’re worse than his exes, sounds like he was just trying to open up to you, which is hard for anyone, especially man. If you punish him for opening up he won’t. Third, the silent treatment is one of if not the most damaging form of emotional abuse, and a good predictor of divorce. Remedy it.

She literally said she feels autistic, not sure what else to possibly conclude. I also was hot and shy at that age so I know what I’m taking about.

If I’m reading this right, you’re attractive, but don’t fit the stereotypical extroverted super social “hot personality.” That is hard if your shyness makes people too afraid to approach. Men need encouragement to approach hot women, if they’re worried she’s cold they will be intimidated. So you may have to give him more help. Be warm and make him feel safe enough to ask you out. Also drugs probably are not helping you, just my two cents. Accept yourself.
/r/RedPillWomen27/07/18 04:58 PM

I think you missed the point. When a woman is hot, everyone expects her to be extroverted and socially skilled. If she’s not, people think something is wrong and they get confused. If they think her stuck up. So that’s a challenge for some women.

My parents are divorced, were abusive, and other issues. You can’t change the past, but you can choose to become who you want, parents or no parents. People shouldn’t condemn you for your lack of a good childhood. The real question is if you became your own person, or if you’re defined by past trauma. Depends. My family had addiction issues so I’m very sensitive and am with a man who drinks once a month at most. But to someone less sensitive, a few beers each night is nothing. The main concerns would be -if a man becomes mean or abusive when drinking -if a man neglects his responsibilities to drink -if he’s so checked out that you feel alcohol is his mistress and main relationship, not you. Drinking regularly doesn’t automatically make any of those true, they’re just the red flags.

Ego competition (art is almost inseparable from the ego at times as it’s from the heart) and then similar over emotional traits building on each other badly.

Your remorse is a sign of wanting to get better. I don’t believe it’s ever hopeless for anyone. A long nun mode period may be in order for you.

You might google Laura Doyle’s thoughts on women initiating. She found she was inadvertently nagging her husband and he felt sex was just another item on his to do list. She found switching to receiving joyfully when he initiated worked. In your case it sounds a bit similar.

Sounds like you’re afraid of change. It will feel weird when he’s cut off because you’re so used to that presence in your life. Even if it hurt you. Be forward looking and accept change.

Honestly the class differences and him being a bit lazy concern me far less than the Mama’s boy thing. My friend is going through a divorce with a guy like that right now.

No! Don’t become unhealthy for a guy’s possible fetish! BMI over 24.5 (about that) is overweight and hurts your health. Love doesn’t demand you hurt yourself.

Yeah this is why some trp sex tourists give Eastern European women a reputation for being perfect and submissive. A lot of them do act like that...to the American men who they want to rescue them. I’m part Eastern European and my family worked really hard to escape for a reason. There is no doubt certain values of beauty, gratitude, hard work, family focus, are things to learn from, but it’s best not to idealize.

This. The male friend debate is a distraction from the issues that should be directly addressed in the marriage.

This is great. Definitely how the husband feels matters. Some men won’t be comfortable. Other men are thrilled when someone thinks their wife is cool. Guys don’t always think like women and it’s important to do right by him, not just what one thinks he wants.

I hate it when art forces an agenda. Not only because it’s usually liberal and ridiculous but because it never flows organically with the art. I’m reading a historical novel where certain characters have really modern views. It’s unrealistic. It’s not the first I’ve read like it. It really takes me out of the story if the author can’t work with the time and tries to act like its normal for people to be centuries ahead of their time.

Take the advice here. NB: learn to set boundaries. Women who aren’t used to male attention sometimes struggle to set boundaries because they aren’t used to having to say no. Don’t get a reputation as a flirt.
