Good man. Keep on your path. Life is much better but you will be tested by other people. They won't understand why and will try to belittle you - friends, family, work colleagues. There's constant distractions, but if you stay focused, your life can be however you want it to be. Good luck bro.

This is genius. Love this way of thinking!

This 100%. It's their place or a hotel. I don't even tell them where I live to stop this type of stuff happening.

Attraction is raw, to totally suppress it is very hard for most people. I can still appreciate a beautiful woman, just be aware what you’re getting yourself into if you choose to take it any further.

Great! This should be pinned.

I've been working from home since 13th March. Thankfully, I still have a job and things are busier than ever. This keeps me busy during the week and I've been learning a new language in my spare time. I built a 'gym' o on my terrace and life is good. On weekends I just relax. The alone time and pure isolation doesn't bother me... But it's very wierd when I think I've had no physical interaction for well over a month now. Skype calls are the norm now but it's not the same as a face to face intera…

If you want to have sex, have sex. Just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. Don't fall in love and use protection. If you don't want to have sex, don't.

Sounds like she's trying to justify why she can't 'find a real man'

Agree. Funnily enough, MOST things men do are to impress women, not just spending habits. This is where the biggest problem lies and what I like about MGTOW. You should be going to the gym for yourself, not to attract women. Your life should be great because you made it that way for yourself, NOT because you want to impress the 10/10 you found in Instagram. Do things for yourself. Live basic and spend on the things that are important to you. If you want to date and spend money on women, then go …

Yes, yes, yes. I was in an 8 year relationship and I've now been single for close to 3. You don't realise until afterwards how much time and money you waste on brunch, shopping, dinners, entertainment, drinks, weekends away, family gifts, 'small tokens of affection', Travel, whatever it is, the list goes on! Yes I'm earning more money now but I have a lot of disposable income because I'm not having to spend it on crap.

Thanks for your comments. I ‘built’ my version of a gym on the terrace today and after a proper workout I already feel much better. I’m starting to build more of an isolation routine and with time it will be just as good. Thanks for the notes on sleep - now is certainly a good time to get more of it!

To be fair, this is another great way to look at it. If you need some down time, of course, take it. - No better time to do so!

Sit yourself down and ask yourself "what are the things I do that are detrimental to my life" You'll know what they are. Then stop doing those things and make a plan for where you want to be. Then follow that plan piece by piece, step by step. You're young enough at this moment in time to try things out and see the world and all the options you have. Just be aware to stop doing things to please other people and just look after yourself and in some cases your family too. Learn how/ when to say no…

Great answer. If you want to have sex, just go and have it. Just make sure IT'S SAFE, you wear A CONDOM and don't fall in love lol. However, you're running out of time bro, because the world is going on lockdown.

I've been focusing on learning a new language. At the same time, I can also wfh, so taking full advantage of it and working my ass off. In uncertain times, you need to make yourself indispensable.

Sounds good brother. I'm too going to miss the gym; the perfect place for a session after work. Headphones in, weights on. Tomorrow I'm going to see what I can 'build' at home.

Thanks for sharing. I'm very comfortable but I'm reminding myself this is really just the beginning of what could be a long isolation. The thing I miss most is the gym. Tomorrow I'll work on building something I can lift at home.

Appreciate the beauty then move on. You're still very young but there are PLENTY of beautiful women in this world trust me. You'll go through ups and downs but if you're a logical man the harsh reality will ALWAYS pull you back again. I won't play a game that's stacked against me. ESPECIALLY when I look back and see how much MORE I've achieved since I went 'my own way'.

Looks amazing. I've felt guilty all week because this year I bought no presents and refused to come home for Xmas. Today I facetimed my family all sat around the dinner table and I was sat on the beach. Best decision ever. I love my life. Hope you had a great day.

Thanks for posting. I work for a great company and we actually held a little event for this today. We had cake and a few beers at lunch on the company. What SHOCKED me was the attitude of two women who sit opposite me in the office. I genuinely heard them say some of the following: “I’m not going to support this” “Did we celebrate international women’s day?” “What a joke” I’ve been MGTOW for 3 years now and I’ve NEVER heard such disrespect. They both refused to eat the cake and silently belittle…

Throw yourself a pity party then get right back on track with your goals. You don't need us for advice, you did the right thing once you realised and your logic kicked back in. This should be a lesson to those just getting started on the path. Even the knowledgeable can fall. MGTOW is a constant battle as you're constantly under threat. The "most men are only a blow job away from the plantation" is truth.

I was with my ex for almost 8 years. After I told her I didn't want to be friends she couldn't understand why I wanted to cut the contact. Then she said: "Why not? I still talk to my other exes..." Fuck me. I laughed, ended the conversation, deleted all my social media, changed my number and haven't seen or heard from her since. Awalt.

Other men have said it. Ghost her and move on. I was in an 8 year relationship. It hurts, but cut her out COLD and look to the future. Your life will get better everyday.

Every man gets his heart broken. A smart man will learn from his mistakes, a fool will do it again. You can mention it but I've found most guys need to find this lifestyle themselves.

Amen to this. I was in an 8 year relationship and although the truth hurts THIS is a win. No house, kids or marriage - I ghosted and have rebuilt my life over the past 2 years. You should do the same.

This brings back memories. I was in an 8 year relationship. Towards the end, she wouldn't even get me cutlery or a drink with a meal... She'd get her own. This is basic. I do that for friends. It didn't even cross her mind.

Welcome OP. I read your story and see so many red flags. However like many here have already said, perhaps this is something you need to learn yourself. Everything is okay until it isn't. I don't wanna break your heart with some cold harsh truths but please read more about the lives and experiences of those who have been through it so you don't have to. Educate yourself more about hypergamy, female nature and it all starts to become clear pretty fucking quick. Soon you'll see blind men walking e…

As expected each woman will give you a different experience. If it's your first time then I'd be selective with your woman and don't skimp on time. Everything will be new for you so you don't wanna be rushed. If you've got the money and you're craving it, crack on. Whatever works for you. What I would suggest is just go ahead and get it out of your system. Pick a 10/10 and do everything you've ever wanted. Then, keeping working on yourself.

Have some goals so big that you don't even care. "If you're focusing on your problems, your goals aren't big enough" - unknown

You need to get a job. Doesn't matter WHAT it is, but it's something to get you up in the morning & start earning yourself some money. Sitting around your house all day gets pretty boring, real quick (as you've begun to realise) If you want to go your own way you need to be self sufficient.

Absolutely. If you can learn from us then you’re living the dream. However, In my experience you can be told something a thousand times...until you experience it yourself it CAN be hard to fully understand the benefits. For example. My Dad told me from a VERY young age to ALWAYS save a portion of any money I obtained. Did I listen? no. Only now, that I’ve lived a bit and had no money do I UNDERSTAND why he always said it. I’ve been MGTOW for almost 2 years now, am only in my late twenties but wa…

I can laugh at this now...but a few years ago I was walking to work 2 weeks each month so I’d have money for ‘date night’. A daily 3 hour round trip. What a fool. I also lived on 15 GBP a week food so I’d have cash to do things together on the weekend. FUCK THAT LIFE. 2 years later and I’ve tripled my income, eliminated by debt, learnt a new language and am building a solid foundation of savings. Go me. Go MGTOW.

Mate, family is the worst in this context. My mum and sister constantly try and hook me up with other women. They both just wanna find a rich man and ‘settle down’. My Nan actually now beleives im gay and tells me everytime I visit. My mum drops the ‘i want grandkids’ line every week. My Aunt, “So you seeing anyone new yet?” No, no, no and NO. It’s a constant barage of belittling and shaming tactics to get you to commit and throw away your life. Never again.

100% agree. Mgtow now for 2 years but I was in an 8 year relationship. We went on holiday and took a nice stroll along the beach after dinner. There was a STUNNING sunset and she uploaded a pic online. 2 hours later she takes it down because it didn't get enough likes. 2 years ago I deleted all my social media. This last weekend I was at a stag in Ibiza & exposed again to it's impact. Women everywhere ALL OVER social. They post stories on three social platforms and juggle fake content across Ins…

You got it! Now watch your life take off. You're already in such A GREAT position it will only get better. I was in an 8 year relationship that ended almost 2 years ago now. Since then I've learnt a new language, tripled my income, paid off £8000 of debt and live life EXACTLY the way I want. Life is good.

Welcome. Count yourself lucky you discovered the truth when you did & well done for making the right choice. Now, time is on your side to build a life you can love. But don't let your guard down! There will be others looking to get a piece of your pie.
/r/MGTOW13/05/19 06:38 PM

Yeah don't be ashamed mate. Just know you've done the right thing and made the BEST decision. They've moved on. They're not thinking about you at night. Time for you to do the same and heal.
/r/MGTOW11/05/19 05:31 PM
6

Just be AWARE of what you're getting yourself into & don't fall for any of their games. Once you understand female nature it's very difficult to not 'see' anymore. I've stopped dating entirely but I still have protected sex because I want to. Many men go 'monk' and give it up entirely but that's not for me at this point in my life.
/r/MGTOW10/05/19 08:55 PM

Welcome brother. Seems like you've been through it much like many of us here. Forget her and move on. It's these moments that set the precedent for the rest of your life and now it's up to you. Don't think it's going to be an easy path either. You will be tested AGAIN and AGAIN but focus on small victories and the rest will follow. Good job.

Wow, this post makes me sad. AWALT...but what a man.
/r/MGTOW06/05/19 09:20 AM

Cut her off mate. She left you to find something 'better'. Don't give her the pleasure of seeing your life evolve and a glimpse at what she missed out on. Remove her from your life & start focusing on things other than her. You'll feel better for it. =)
/r/MGTOW01/05/19 05:45 AM

I second this. I was in an 8 year relationship. We 'grew apart' - whatever the real reason was doesn't matter & I'll never know / care. She wanted to stay friends. I said no, changed my number, erased my social media and got a new job in a different city. It's hard af but the best decision. No matter how much I loved her she's the past and keeping ties has ZERO positive outcomes. Glad you had a realisation and saw the truth behind her actions. Onwards and upwards brother.
/r/MGTOW19/03/19 08:41 PM

This sounds oddly similar to the end of my 8 year relationship.... Thank god I said no.
/r/MGTOW02/03/19 03:57 PM

This is gold. I will start giving my love to those that least expect it and dont demand it.
/r/MGTOW02/03/19 03:53 PM

Yeah, my mum says this all the time. My little sister says it too. Now they’re both at it.
/r/MGTOW02/03/19 03:51 PM

Pretty much mate. You often hear that men give attention for sex. You could almost reverse it and see how women give sex for attention. 2 biological needs. One to bust a nut. One to feel ‘wanted’.
/r/MGTOW02/03/19 03:45 PM
3

So, I was in an 8 year relationship so I got used to it on the regular. After the split I was HUNGRY for sex and low and behold all my female ‘friends’ were up for it. Some of them had boyfriends, one a husband but that’s how I got some of the pain out of my system. As i educated myself about the realities of life and hypergamy, I wanted to remove myself from that awful dynamic entirely. Some of those women were so easily able to cheat it really opened my eyes. One single mother would throw a fi…

I can second this. Im 28, great physique, great job, nice car. I used to ‘appreciate’ a beautiful woman if i saw her but now i don’t even do that. The gym is just a playground of thirsty girls following you from machine to machiine and watching you ‘secretly’ throughout your entire workout. I interact with women at work and have some rgeat conversations, but outside of that I ghost the gender.

Happy Birthday Brother. I’m 28 in a few days and I’ll be spending it alone - just the way I like it. (I’ll actually be at work, but idc and no one knows thank god) I was in an 8 year relationship. MANY times I ended up doing something for my birthday I really didn’t want to do just to satisfy my partner. When you type it out, how backwards is that. Spend it YOUR way mate. Enjoy.

This was the story for 90% of men at my workplace... For those with wives it was the worst. The guys go all out...the women don’t even buy a card. One woman even said to me: “He’ll get his gift tonight” LOL! FUCK THAT.

Lots of great comments here. As already mentioned, how much do you know about your great, great grandparents? - probably nothing. You could live the ‘perfect life’ and leave your family with enough money for a lifetime. Give it 1 or 2 generations and it’ll be gone. Focus on yourself. Do what you love. I don’t understand why people are scared of death, but that’s just me. I suppose it depends what your beliefs are. Either way, you still have a lot of time OP - plenty of years of thought, learning…

Great summary. I'm in my late twenties and have been single from an 8 year relationship for a year and a half now. Like you, all those years were spent trying to make her happy and sacrificing my own goals for her. In this past year and a half my salary has doubled, I've learnt a new language, I've hit multiple athletic PB's and I'm 2 months away from eliminating the entirety of my debt. I have such a simple set of needs, life is great.

90% of the men I work with are MARRIED. The other 10% in long term relationships. All I hear is them moaning and complaining about their 'other halfs'. None of them are happy.

Welcome. Be thankful you've started to learn the truth at such a young age. I was with the same woman for 8 years. (19-27) We split and I got out with no marriage, kids or a house. I thought I'D won the jackpot. There are many men here who have been through MUCH worse and your challenges have only just begun. I'd visit here often and keep exposing yourself to the realities of 'life'. At your age and stage of GYOW, daily reminders and lessons from others are very important. Good luck. Develop you…

+1 to this. I 'invested' in some quality work shirts but that's the extent of my expensive wardrobe. I have 8 that I rotate. When I'm not at work, you'll find me in sports clothes as my hobby is triathlon. A new woman started in our department 4 months ago. The intern jokes with us because she's wearing something different everyday. ...I should add, MOST days it's inappropriate too. Low cut tops, side boob and leg. Ridiculous.

Once your eyes are TRULY open to the truth, It's very hard to relapse. Like the other men here, I continue to have sex but I'm VERY careful. I don't date and have no interest in it. I have DAILY reminders of life on the plantation from the men at work. That's enough.

Agree. Started journaling about 3 years ago now. I use the 'Day One' app. Great to look back and see how far you've come.

Its already been said, but cut her off and don’t look back. Unless you haver kids (which you don’t) there is NO REASON for you to be in contact OR for her to be able to contact you. I was in an 8 year relationship and she was txting me every week after we split. Once I found MGTOW, got a grip and realised what was going on I sent her a final message: “Friends isn’t working for me, have a nice life”. I deleted all social meda, moved house and changed my mobile number. Hard choices, easy life. Pro…

Like others have said, I'm sick of all the BS & I refuse to take part in all the drama that goes along with a 'typical lay'. That's not to say it doesn't happen from time to time, but I have a selection of acquaintances I can call. Alternatively, just Jack off and you'll soon get over it. When you're young you're raised to believe sex is the be all and end all. Most women I've fucked, either in my 8 year ltr or on a one night stand were garbage. A girl just laying on her back gets old pretty qui…

I ignore women most of the time because i enjoy it when they freak out. "Why isn't he looking at me. Let me stand closer, let me brush by him, let me stare until he looks over". It's embarrassing. I can appreciate a attractive woman but I quickly move on. The world isn't short on beautiful women. Nothing new to see.

Rub one out and see how you feel. Alternatively, fuck her, wear a condom and get it out of your system. Most of the time it's not worth it but it looks like you've made your mind up.

Start putting yourself first and understand that you and you alone are responsible for your happiness and your life. Start eating healthy, exercising, reading and teach yourself something worthwhile. Do what makes you happy and DON'T do things to impress other people. The beauty of MGTOW is you can do whatever you want. Once you realise people only care about themselves, it's a lot easier to detach and start focusing on yourself. Live everyday on your terms. Focus on what YOU can control and ign…
