There are huge parts of the Jewish faith as described in the Jewish scriptures that aren't followed today. All the sacrifices, stoning adulterers, and other "essential" parts of the mosaic law. So the Jewish faith has proven to be flexible when needed. Ending the practice of infant circumcision would not end Judaism. BSA didn't really do it as a result of the lawsuits, it's been a gradual evolution. Some programs in BSA have been open to girls since at least the 1980's. The main thing slowing this down was the opposition of the Mormon church (IMO).

Similar stuff to this is commonly repeated. but that doesn't make it true. Based on conviction rates, we really don't know. There is a small percentage rapes accusations presumptively determined to be true due a conviction, and small percentage determined to be false through some mechanism. The vast majority of complaints are somewhere in the middle, neither determined to be true or false.

It may sound strange but I personally support circumcision in regards to the first point. I noticed my employer updated their dress code. It's now gender neutral. Of course that's de jure, de facto women have far more options. I can't realistically wear a skirt in the heat of the summer. I can't wear tight stretch pants (or stretch pants at all) etc. My realistic choices are jeans/slacks and a polo/button shirt. There are advantages both ways.
