Feminists are pretty strongly down on the practice of female genital mutilation, and quite right too. They want to see it stopped. Now the practitioners of mutilation of girls are, on the whole, a very marginalised group of very little political influence, a minority of a minority, only certain tribes of certain nations that do it. As a result the Feminists have had a good deal of success in getting things done on this front, and they're to be applauded for that. Their great problem is this. Whe…

Textra1 "Why Males Are Increasingly Retreating Into Videogames Because we can pursue excellence there and not be penalised or rapped over the knuckles for trying to be better than everyone else at a thing. That, and it's fun. And we're allowed to win without being told to check our privilege every five minutes." Holy shit, that hits the nail on the head right there..... My god, you could apply that reasoning quite accurately to the decline in birth rates within say Japan. Where feminist doctrin…

If you value your grades, don't push it. More often then not, they'll punish you for not toeing the line and you don't want to piss on your future, for an insignificant impact. Unfortunately you will be penalised if you raise any issues via your school work and even run a risk if you raise issues outside of your school work. Unless you know for certain that the teacher is reasonable, then start with a low ball issue, something that is small enough to brush off but big enough to gauge how they re…

Film companies won't support a Black James Bond in Idris Elba, but they'll happily float the idea of a female bond? Go figure.

I didn't assume your position, I pointed out your actions. I can tell your position is anti-choice, that's not assumption. It is, because you're doing it again. I'm not pro choice or anti choice. I float somewhere between the two if you really want to know. I'm not sure why you think that. That's not what a strawman argument is. Oh it was. You substituted my actual position for one of your own creation and then you attacked your own created position. I'll even highlight it for you: The point abo…

your biggest mistake here is trying to guilt georgesand into agreeing with you. Your biggest mistake is to assume my position, 101 of discussions is to never assume. I'm not trying (Deliberately or otherwise) to guilt them to change their mind. That person is free to make their choice, i just simply disagree with them. I don't require the people i debate with, to agree with anything i write or the position i'm discussing from. The point about making abortions safe, sane and legally accessible is…

Wow this issue really seems to anger you. I'm not angry at all, it's my daughters birthday today. So i'm pretty happy, but thanks for the concern. Yes, the fetus does not have the right to usurp the mother's life. Yay common ground! It also does not have the right to live in the mother's body. And lets wave good bye to that common ground. How else does a baby survive? I mean we don't live in Star Trek world yet sweetheart, we still need women to nurture babies. And this may come as a shock to yo…

But it is okay to kill a human in some circumstances? Yes. The growing baby doesn't surpass the mothers right to live. If the mother is in danger, then her needs come over the babies. Otherwise the mother has no right to kill that baby. The fetus does not have a right to my body Yes it does. For 9 months and then it will leave. and is not entitled to leech off of it. A baby isn't some kind of leech, its a human. And yes it does have the right to feed off you. But I will not have it live in my bo…

My opinion was changed somewhat by my wife. If allowed to develop normally, that fetus/baby would turn into an adult human. As such there is no point in development where its OK to kill it (excluding obvious medical reasons, like mother in danger). If it's not OK to kill another human, it's not OK to kill a fetus.

What a wonderful story of how fathers are always fathers. No matter your age or children. I'm very surprised this has generated good feels and not accusations of him being a pedophile. But I'm not going to dwell on that fact and rather enjoy the fantastic story.

People wont take you seriously then. If your posting a meme about a serious mens rights issue, it'll look like your making a joke out of the issue. I just don't think memes have a place when we are trying to help suicidal men for example.

One of the biggest push for feminism, or at least some ideals. Is the gender pay gap. The wage gap is interesting, because to some extent there is validity in the claim, but it's gone about in the wrong manner. Women on the whole are paid less then men (Like for like they are paid the same). But the intricacies of why this is the case are often never discussed and the blanket statement of 'Women are paid less then men' is used instead. For example, women are more likely to stay at home or exit t…

Do you believe feminism is whole heartedly fake I think when it was originally created, it had a reason to exist. It was doing fantastic things and serving to bridge gaps and bring equality. Modern day feminism does no such thing. There is no "equality" in modern day feminism, it's long dead. Nowadays, 99% of feminism is anti-male. Every branch of feminism is built on same old heavily discredited concepts: "Patriarchy", "Toxic Masculinity" (To some extent), "Intersectionalism", and similar crack…

The movement has faults, definitely. Whether it be that you think it has faults, under appreciated values, or you feel like the community is going in a direction that strays from (or doubles down) it's core values. There are too many people who either despise women or are here to troll. The constant meme posting at times is just tiring to read. Those people need to be weeded out and called out when they do this. I see no benefit towards helping men, by doing what feminism does and belittle the o…

My understanding of the term is that it refers to elements of masculinity which are toxic to both men, women, and society as a whole - primarily: Dominance Excessive Self-Reliance Emotional Stoicism This is also my interpretation and my wife's. No one here will argue that men need to be allowed to be vulnerable, and to be allowed to get help - they just don't like the term "Toxic Masculinity" because its sounded pejorative (which it isn't, but it definitely sounds pejorative). So it might be a g…

None of the traits are "masculine" they're just human traits. So for example, the idea that men can't show emotion, isn't an example of toxic masculinity? (Not an accusation, genuine question)

Teenage rebellion at that age is high, so they come across as dominant. Women trying to destroy the notion of adult men being masculine/dominant. So they become attracted to the younger boys because they give off a dominant vibe? If you can see where i'm going with this thought process

To be fair, toxic masculinity is relatively real. The thought of a man being a stay at home dad, not able to cry, not the breadwinner etc That stuff is toxic to men.

The entire interview was conducted as an attempt to be confrontational from the very start. They didn't mention he was a Dr at all, she tried to strawman him countless times and failed. More than 230 years ago, 1787, Edward Gibbon wrote a book called Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Five reasons for the fall of the great dynasty. First: Rapid increase of divorce, with the undermining of the sanctity of the home, which is the basis of society. Second: Higher and higher taxes; the spending of money for bread and celebrations. Third: The mad craze for pleasure, sports becoming every year more exciting and more brutal. Fourth: The building of gigantic armaments, when the real …

I've been with with my wife for 15 years and she is amazing. ONLY get married if you've met a woman/man with a sensible head on. The second they identify as a feminist abandon ship no matter how hard it hurts. If you get married, don't move or visit places like Canada, as it's increasingly more dangerous for men and the family unit. This used to be a joke, now it's becoming increasingly more real. how can that be a cult? A lot of his call in shows end up with him basically asking people to believe what in what hes saying and to leave their parents and family. The biggest misandrist in the UK government. She laughed and scoffed at a debate over male suicide. She actively blocks and obstructs anything that benefits men.

13.5% of single parent households in the UK are fathers. So clearly the alienation is against men, not women.

I honestly wish i could (Because i'd love to read it again) and this is why you shouldn't take anything i said above as more then just gossip. From what i can remember it was about 3+ years ago i read it, a person Edward Gibbon was doing a study/article a book called Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire and listed the 5 main reasons and within that was the rise of the feminist movement of the times. They didn't call it feminist movement, they named it something more politically correct for the t…

I remember reading about the fall of the Roman Empire many years ago, one of the researchers was talking about 1 of the reasons and explained that the rise of womens rights helped facilitate the fall. Basically the womens rights started pushing for more control and representation, so they had a pseudo child support system in place along with a redistribution of wealth upon divorce. Women would often do as they do now, get pregnant and leave the father, forcing them to pay for the child and takin…

The brain of a new born infant is doing a great deal of development and all interactions they have contribute to how the brain will interact with the world, whether they remember the pain or experience or not. If you want to further back this up, there is an incredible amount of research into the effects of smacking, shouting and other child abuses on infant brain development. Its generally considered that up until 5 you need to limit as much abuse as possible for the brain to grow healthily, af…

The first picture is all the hopes and dreams of a young man and the rest is the crushing weight of the hypocrisy like more deaths at work, longer work hours etc. Then the women could just be your typical feminist telling the man he's privileged etc

So its a reversal on the usual trope of a man saving a women, has a strong female lead and yet they are still not happy? Its what I've been saying for a long time, no matter how much you cave in, they will never be happy. If there not happy about a 1.6% pay gap, then nothing will make them happy.

If you do not fuck your husband can you blame him if he goes somewhere? I've had this discussion with my wife, we never really got to a point of agreement though. The last thing you want to do (IF your in a happy marriage) is to cheat, but if you can't fulfil a natural urge with the person your married to, can the other person reasonably stop you. Doesn't that technically break that "Body Autonomy" shit feminists rant on about?

Question (Not confrontational): Could you not argue its perfectly acceptable/reasonable for someone to deny the other person sex? Doesn't matter the excuse, it takes 2 to tango as the old saying goes.

In the UK the majority of changing rooms are separate from normal toilets. My biggest concern is when my daughter is toilet trained and she needs the toilet, walking into a women's toilet is very dangerous.

Can I ask any American college student to highlight what it's actually like? Is it day to day protests over pronouns and gender issues? Can you try and hit on a women? Do you get screamed at for being a straight White/Black/Asian male? I would be greatly appreciative. At the moment I'm only reliant on news outlets for my opinions on this and I'd like to know what it's really like. Legitimising genital mutilation because "it was common" is not acceptable. I'd be pissed if my parents decided to mutilate my dick because it was "common", what sick person does that shit?
