Thanks for that. I was a lot leaner back when I first got with my wife (4 years ago) but I'm now in the frame of mind that I need to sort myself out. And as I've been reading through the sidebar material, I came across this concept of 'sex rank' in Athol Kay's book, and so I thought I'd just ask if anyone understands how one's own (and that of one's wife) sex rank is determined. This question was mostly out of curiosity. I already am aware that it's lower than my wife's, but I just wanted to kno…

Thank you very much for your comments, guys. I appreciate them a lot. I think reading them has made me realise my frame is practically non-existent and I'm not owning my shit as I thought I was. Thanks again everyone.

How long have you had it for? And has it affected your relationships in any way? If so, how have you dealt with it in keeping balanced? (I know I can't ascribe everything to the health condition alone, there are trauma responses and issues from nurture that play a big role in personal relationships (which I am continually working on)).

Thank you for your comment. I do regularly work out, but I think my problem is the inability to vent to any male friends. I used to identify myself with my health condition at first and complained all the time. But then after a lot of self-reflecting, I realised that not only is this a big part of me which actually does affect my day-to-day activities as well as my psyche and physiology... it's also not 'me' and there's more to me than just this. I used to hate the existence of this part of myse…

They're not related. Snapped out of the oneitis in between. Started gaming other women outside of work and also realised how insecure my boss was. Thanks for the advice. There's so much politics though. Was just talking to the guy I'm working with and he said that it's been like this since he started. I'd also spoke to my mentor (I know, risky) and she was at the place before my boss started, and she said that my boss has a tendency of taking things personal. When my mentor handed in her notice,…

Thanks for the feedback people. I honestly appreciate it. Going to go about things more strategically and will learn to keep my mouth shut. Thanks a lot. Quick question though - what other lessons have you learnt from working in a female dominated team?

I know I will regret it. I know very well not to shit where I eat. The purpose of this post was to ask that if you were in a similar position, how did you manage it? I'm not going to leave until next year (due to training) as it took me 3 years to get to this highly-competitive position.

Lol I could see how unstable she is when I first started, and I've actually been exploiting her insecurities to get more out of her. Only issue now is that things are backfiring on me because I'm starting to develop feelings for her. I know well enough not to shit where I eat, but I love her body (tall and curvy) and it makes me weak. Fucking her will only make things worse in the long-term.

Yeah I know. I'm from the UK so we use Levothyroxine. Been on it since diagnosis since birth (mine's congenital). The reason why I'm asking is that I'm starting to work out more, and because I'm losing weight my mood becomes affected since the meds become too much for me. I guess my actual question is how to handle the mood swings whenever the thyroid health plays up? I'm still looking for some kind of a contingency method. Especially for when I'm at work, since I'm in a female-dominated team an…

Thanks. Has the adjustment in your diet affected your medication too, and how quickly were meds affected by the adjustments?

Haha yeah, being average height is common in our culture. But we're a tall family (from my mother's side), I guess I inherited those genes from her.

So are you saying that regardless of the setting - be it in a club, on the streets, in a workplace - I should still treat the women as children? Why the fuck didn't I of this? In the workplace, I treat the women as adults. I guess that's where I'm going wrong. Thanks.

I used to pay attention to MBTI, but I don't think it's the 'be all, end all' thing. As Rollo Tomassi said in TRM, and even in psychology, your personality is never static. It changes through different stimuli/pressures in life, etc. I don't look at people's personality 'types' anymore. I just take them as they are and gather facts about them whenever I interact with them. People are complex creatures. I think it's unwise to group a bunch of people I meet into tiny categories. I also think that …

My field is pathology, I'm training up to become a biomedical scientist. My manager's been at this hospital for over 20 years and so far I've noticed that sub-groups within the overall department exist. Also, my manager made me aware that even though he's rarely present, he's always aware of what's going on (people talk, relatively small team of only 17 people, most of whom have known him for years). I've also noticed that practically every person there shows a level of insecurity and overt self…

Cheers lads. Does this also mean that you're suggesting I go through Mastery first, and then 48LoP and LoHN?

Thanks for that. Can you tell me the name of Peak's author?
