Tugging significantly helped with my problem, which was caused by my doctor cutting off too much skin when I was circumcised as a baby. The Scrotum skin was being pulled up onto the shaft, leaving insufficient room and crushing the Testicles.

My sister had encountered this very problem. When her youngest son was born she refused to circumcise despite huge pressure from family and doctors. the doctor was insisting that there was no other way, that he NEEDED to be circumcised. She successfully protected him. At every wellness visit the doctor prescribes circumcision to treat "Phimosis" and each time my sister tells them off, since he obviously doesn't have Phimosis.

Here are some numbers I've seen: 700 million men are circumcised 10 million women . The vagina minus the clitoris still has 15,000 nerve endings. One more note for the germophobes, the reason it is moist down there is the same for your mouth, eyes, and nose. Those "germs" are part of your immune defense. I get the extra reminder with some serious stinging sensation every time I pee, having a dry glans rubbing against everything causes the Urethra to constrict. extreme cases are called Meatal Stenosis. I've seen numbers as high as 20% of circumcised men need surgery because of this, and practically unheard of among intact men.

FYI: Only 0.5% of all Foreskin related maladies fail to be effectively treated with non-invasive procedures or Preputioplasty. Which got me thinking about the benefits/risk argument from the AAP. Actually that is a common tactic of doctors. In reality the correct treatment is stretching with or without steroid cream, if that doesn't work then Preputioplasty. Only about 0.5% of cases actually need circumcision, but that is only revealed after a Preputioplasty attempt. Most doctors in certain areas prefer to jump to circumcision despite its much higher complication rate.

It seems to be who you ask. Some say the nerves die and the adjacent areas grow into the vacant space. Others say the nerves are re-purposed. There doesn't seem to be any peer-reviewed articles on either hypothesis, that might be what the doctor meant by "no way to know its effects until we start regenerating". The Frenulum accounts for the highest concentration of Meissner Corpuscles on the male body. The Ridged band has the highest concentration of the other types of Mechanoreceptors.
