True. I've been playing guitar religiously for over a decade and it has never gotten me any attention. It's usually just "Oh thats cool"

Sounds like it's just a case of nerves that you will have to slowly get over. Also practicing when your drunk is never a good idea because then you will only feel comfortable approaching when you are drunk. Also college parties are overrated, at least in my experience. Almost every one I went to back when I was in school was broken up by the cops after like 30 minutes. I never understood the hype

Needed this honestly. I feel like my life has just been passing me by for awhile now

This is hard with someone with crippling social anxiety. I was nearly mute through out high school, not just with women. With everybody. I'm looking into a therapist now but I feel like I shouldn't compare myself with others since I have a larger hole to crawl out of.

This is so fucked. College and the "party phase" just fucks everyone up. If someone doesn't get any in these years they are bitter. If they do they are also bitter about not fucking "hotter" or more women. It is fucked

I dunno, OP really isn't that much older than the college age. That being said as someone in a similar position, what venues do you recommend for meeting women in your mid 20s?

I hated college. Social anxiety and college do not mix at all. It caused me to drop out and go to a small school. If you are a super extrovert college will be the time of your life, if not it is a nightmare. Saying college is the best time of most men's life puts a huge pressure on those who didn't like it or who just decided not to go that route. This is coming from someone who almost killed himself after reading a shit ton of comments like yours. Just something to keep in mind.

This only applies to those without social anxiety. College was a nightmare for me and I had much better success afterwards in a less crowded environment.

Lets see....lived with my parents at 22, had a worthless music degree was kissless virgin. Found this sub and therapy, went back to school, lost my virginity, and now am way more happy.

Wow funny how my social anxiety makes so many of these harder than they should be

I think it is the first one. He has social anxiety and depression issues. He is going to therapy for the first time soon so hopefully he gets them sorted out

So my friend who has graduated from college with no social skills is fucked?

My friend went back at 27 and hooked up with a lot of women. He said they liked he was more mature than everyone else. If you really wanted that experience it isn't too late. Also FWIW I went to a traditional party school with dorms and hated it. I even dropped out after one semester. It really isn't the sex party fest you are led to believe.

This is a problem with society these days I think. They think experiences are universal. Yeah some people have the best time of their lives in their early 20s. Maybe others have theirs in their 30s, who knows. The problem is people get fucking depressed and regretful if they don't have the best time of their lives in this random ass time frame and spend the rest of their lives filled with spite and regret instead of working to make their present day the best of their lives. College and high scho…

Well I mean I commuted to an all dude music school for a worthless degree in my early and mid 20s so I didn't even get the chance to date. I met someone online when I was 22 who I lost my virginity to but that it is it. I have a lot of regrets about missing out like you but I feel like that mindset paralyzes us in the present. Instead of making our current situation the best it can be we always have that 'what if' or 'I should have' scenario. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't wish I w…

Very true. I have always heard just work on yourself and your path and the women will come. I actually plan to go back to school soon and plan on learning a new language on my own time.

You see in my mind a bad boy is the dude who rides his motorcycle around and makes poor decisions with drugs. This guy is an IT nerd who plays video games all the time. He has over 3000 hours with one game on his steam account.

So my situation is similar to what yours used to be but I commuted to a worthless music school and now I'm too poor to move out if my parent's as well as saving up money to go back for an actual degree. I have so much regret and resentment that I don't even know where to start. I just turned 24

How does it get harder? I've heard men have an easier time getting laid in their 30s. Unless you mean being inexperienced becomes a bigger turnoff to others later in life.

18-26 is a pretty specific range lol. This guy I talked to recently went back at 27 and he got hella laid apparently due to his maturity in comparison to his peers.

I will say social anxiety is really hard to overcome. I was in the same situation as you. I kept putting myself out there and even getting a side job that required me to interact with people (not for the money but for the experience) What really sucks is with social anxiety it seems like no matter how much effort you put into outer game and work out etc. you won't see any returns due to the social anxiety prison. I just want you to know your situation isn't rare and just because you haven't stuc…

Strangers do. My ex's friends all thought I was "hot" and told her when they hung out. She later told me. Now that I'm single, I am getting nothing and am just left to assume looks don't mean shit. (if I even have looks...) Also I am trying before anyone asks. I just lose stream after approaching and can't think of things to say when using online dating.

For what its worth Im going back to school as well soon. Im also 24 and have gotten laid once. Retail hell is never fun but hey at least you are moving forward.

If he is in college and surrounded by a bunch of women who are a few years younger, why limit his options by just ignoring all the women he is in school with and waiting to stumble upon someone who is his own age? Its not like he is 50 or something.

Youre right, circumstances do matter. But college really isnt the end all be all it is made out to be. The last nerdy convention I went to had just as much hooking up in the hotels they were held in. Im sure sex happens in hostels when people travel as well. Also if you go to a college that is predominantly male, then you wont have access to the young and wild women and will feel bad hearing everyone else talk about their personal experience with college and getting laid left and right. It leads…

Lost my virginity at 22. Commuted to an all dudes college so that made getting laid almost impossible. Now I'm just working on myself and enjoying life with my current girlfriend but really just trying to move out and if we ever break up I'm going to go on a sex spree.

Why? I think its good for a first date. If they end up being crazy you can leave easily without waiting. I do prefer drinks usually though

My purpose in life is music but I've been really demotivated about it recently because I feel like I'm gonna be in poverty for a long time and won't experience traveling and stability etc. I've been thinking maybe it might be better to keep my passion/purpose a hobby but then is it really a purpose?

I do think it would be way harder. Night game people are cutting loose and having fun usually when they are out. Day game, people got shit to do and places to go.

I feel the same way. What I did was start reading books on productivity and start getting shit done. Whether it be working out, starting a business, learn an instrument, learn coding. Anything to help you gain more confidence in yourself. I would recommend the book Eat That Frog! As for women, do research on here, start talking to everyone you can to diminish anxiety. Read books on seduction, join dating sites. Start with one thing and it will soon snowball. Not everyone's best moments in life a…

Amazing, I've honestly never been complimented on my personality before. Got any tips for working on inner game?
/r/seduction15/02/17 06:41 AM

I do believe inner game is much harder to work on than outer game. Most ways to improve outer game are pretty straightforward. Workout, eat right, fitting clothes etc. With inner game I would say the best way to work on it is just read books, meditate, maybe therapy if necessary and just practice applications. The problem is though a lot of books and stuff have contradictions so you kinda just gotta decide who you want to be yourself and which to apply.

Does anyone have any further studying on vocal tonality? It's an area I severely lack in and I can't seem to find very much on it besides ending your phrases in a lower pitch instead of a higher one.

I've read How To Win Friends and Influence People, Models, and am currently reading The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook for Social Anxiety and Shyness. My social anxiety is pretty bad so I will definitely check out that course, thanks for that!

I'm 21 about to turn 22. Yeah social anxiety feels like a crutch in all relationships not just romantic, I'm glad you have overcome yours though. I do really just need more social experience and friends, I find myself hanging around the same two people all the time and haven't made much effort to branch out.

The problem is the girls who find my appearance attractive never find my personality attractive, even when they are available.

You are definitely correct about being scared of negative consequences. I always play it safe and probably end up boring everyone.

Good advice, looks really don't matter much to women as long as you take decent care of yourself. I'm probably just over compensating my looks because my personality is so bad. I definitely just need to not think about it and get out there.

Looking at your other posts you seem extremely desperate for sex. Girls can probably sense this, keep doing what you do but without the need for sex on your mind. Like what the other guy said, be outcome independent.

I literally have the same problem as you. I've been told I'm good looking, girls never approach, and I also have a really deep voice. I honestly think it is just about taking the initiative and approaching them first. I have rarely seen girls approach a guy first, even if they are attractive. I would say just work on approaching and showing interest in them to help get rid of the awkwardness in socializing with them. Hell I'm incredibly awkward with girls which is why I'm here to learn on this s…
