Explore a passion. Start a business. Set a big goal and go for that. Think about how much time you've wasted in relationships so far.

I’m visiting Toronto in about a week— any recs on places to see? Especially places popular with locals?

This. I’m so tired of seeing people attempt to classify other MGTOWs, i.e purple pill, black pill, magenta pill, salmon pill. Who the hell cares? Go your own way. Provided someone else’s way isn’t directly contrary to the basic idea of MGTOW, don’t waste your time faulting them. Just do your thing.

Couldn’t agree more. MGTOW is about going your own way, not following another guy’s way.

I wouldn’t call it dating. It’s more a cheap alternative to using prostitutes. My ultimate goal is monk mode.

Good comment, but you should know that I suggested drinks only. Then she insisted it be drinks, mini golf, and dinner. All for the first date. She also demanded to go to certain restaurants and mini golf places. Now you might see why I made it clear up front.

I should clarify— I generally don’t date. Every now and again, I meet someone who I think might be different, so I tip my toe in the water. And I’m quickly reminded why I don’t date. So I’m reminding myself as much as I am trying to remind others. That said, MGTOW isn’t a religion with definite commandments and sins. It’s only a principle that men are free to interpret in their own ways.
/r/MGTOW223/07/19 06:39 PM
1

Highly appreciated. I can’t speak for others, but I’d consider myself fairly MGTOW and I appreciate the reminder so that I don’t fall back to old ways. Still, point taken 👍🏻

No problem you mean? Same. I’ve noticed that girls who are actually into me have no problem splitting. They prioritize people over money. Perish the thought.
/r/MGTOW223/07/19 01:29 PM

Agreed. What especially struck me was how uncompromising and cold-hearted she was about it. Keep in mind we’d invested several hours of our time connecting over the phone. To have her go from 60-0 without even trying to compromise and explain her position showed me where her priorities were.

First, keep up with NoFap. It’s a minority opinion around here, but refraining from M will make your life better in so many ways. Second, find a cause, hobby, or dream that you can dedicate yourself too. That’ll get you mind off of women and chasing.

That’s both the funniest and saddest part about all this. People like him see guys like us as losers because we’re not “beating” them in the marriage game. Little do they know that you almost always end up in Hell when you win the game.
/r/MGTOW18/04/19 04:43 PM

For him, there’s also a strong religious background that pushes marriage as the ideal situation.
/r/MGTOW18/04/19 04:41 PM

Fair point — I should have added that he does often seem frustrated with home life. Also, when I tell him about travel plans or trips with friends, he always says something like “Enjoy that while you can...” with kind of a wistful or sad look.

Exactly. Live and let live. It’s not my life that’ll get ruined if she cheats and leaves. But it’s so presumptuous and awkward. Reminds me of that hilarious meme: https://images.app.goo.gl/p4wBXsmLbi8u2L539

I almost told him that I’ve seen many of my friends already go through the same cycle of dating —> marriage —> (kids) —> divorce in just a few years. It’s like they’re all on a timer. But I didn’t want to burst his bubble

This. I understand where a lot of the atheistic folks on here are coming from. I really do. But in the end, I've made the choice to believe. In the end, that's all it is: a choice. Can I prove God exists in a laboratory with beakers and test tubes? No. Can you prove God doesn't exist? No. I have many reasons for believing, and not just to make sense about the future, death etc. Either way, it's something you should investigate with your mind and heart, and make your own call. Also, check out Sto…

Welcome to the fold brother! As a Christian, I'm happy to see other men of faith going MGTOW. Most of Christianity here in the USA (and probably Judaism as well) has become effiminate, emotion-driven, and filled with women and soy boys. Time for that to change!
/r/MGTOW14/04/18 06:19 PM
6

I was in DC yesterday during the "March for our Lives" nonsense. I've never seen so many soy boys and rabid feminists in my life. To think this represents a big chunk of the next generation?
/r/MGTOW25/03/18 12:38 PM

This is just another sign that our society is done for. The feminization of our culture will continue until it totally collapses. Keep strong, gents.

I've always seen the RP lifestyle as including three critical activities: Lifting, to improve your body (also self defense) Meditating, to master your emotions Reading, to expand your mind Of course, there is also the relational side, specifically, how to deal with and understand women, so that you can have fulfilling interactions with them if you want.

Great post, OP. You've got something that a lot of people on here don't: Self-awareness. Kudos. That puts you way ahead of the curve, because the first step to fixing a problem is admitting there is one.
/r/TheRedPill10/10/17 08:45 PM
14

It's also a matter of being less feminine. Feminism is, ironically, destroying women by destroying feminity. Go to other societies where the cancer of feminism is not as far advanced, and women are more attractive, less fat, less entitled, etc.
/r/MGTOW09/10/17 05:19 PM
1

Thank you for posting, OP. I'm not sure I agree with everything you've said, but your basic point -- "self-responsibility" -- is something a lot of TRP/MGTOW people need to hear. Do we face a lot of difficulties in society, in women, in others? Yes. BUT we can never shirk our duty to accept responsibility for our own actions, whatever those are. Like you said, we must happen to life, not the other way around.

The only other way to keep people interested is by entertaining them, be it through some good jokes, funny stories, etc.

Solid post, man. Thanks for putting it up. This is one reason why it's beneficial to keep someone focused on talking about themselves in conversation. They learn almost nothing about you and you learn loads from them, and they'll love you for it. With women, this strategy brings with it the added bonus of turning you into a "mysterious" guy. Also, saw American Psycho for the first time just last week. It completely nails the shallow, self-absorbed culture that we see almost everywhere now. You k…

Agreed. Ideally, you should fill your time up with fulfilling pursuits. However, you should do this once in a while as a way to feel things out. You learn volumes about someone when you deny them something.

Thanks for your post. Thoughtful, informative stuff. You've playing the long game here, which i definitely agree with. Why spend your limited time, money, and energy trying to get laid when there's so much more to do in life? I've gotten to the point where, like you, I'll be friends with women and screw them if sex falls into my lap. Otherwise, I got better things to do. Virtually all women offer nothing more than sex in return for their manipulation, drama, and resource drain. I don't have time…

I'm going to get down voted a lot for saying this, but this guy made the wrong move. His note comes off as incredibly self-pitying and self-righteous. He clearly slipped into a victim mentality and blamed everyone else for his problems, especially the woman. No doubt horrible things happened to him -- and that is awful -- BUT many other men -- heroes -- have been knocked down like he was, and you know what? They get back up and keep fighting. There is ALWAYS hope. It's even worse because he left…

After reading TRP "field reports" for months now, here's my question: What the hell is the point? A guy spends hours or days working out and changing his looks, then spends MORE time and money buying women drinks, just to bang her once and move on? As a long-term strategy, it does NOTHING. Better to improve yourself for your own happiness than to earn the shallow approval of women.

No joke, I once overheard a conversation between two girls that went something like this: Girl 1: So, girl 2, are you still with that one guy? Girl 2: No, I'm with a new guy, John Girl 1: Ugh, isn't he that short creep who lives with his Mom? Girl 2: Yeah Girl 1: Then what are you thinking? Girl 2: He's got a rolex! Girl 1: Oh... you go girl. Get a ring from that boy.

To succeed, all we need to do is own this movement. Just live it out. With women as well as men (the latter as followers), This is the rule: Do NOT pursue; attract. You attract people by following your dreams, improving yourself, living out your ideals, and by not giving a crap about what anyone else thinks. Whatever happens to society down the road, we'll be alright if we do that.

I would have tried to talk to the other tenants and get their thoughts, or gotten a casual lunch with her before signing the lease. Something like that. A couple years ago, I rented out the upper floor of a house owned by an older couple. The woman totally dominated the man. She'd scream, throw dishes at him, destroy his laptops (he was a computer programmer), and other crap. Couldn't wait to get oit of there. After I left, I talked to an earlier tenant and he told me that he'd had the same expe…

This. My parents have been happily married for 30 years. The secret? My father is the head of the house. He loves my mother intensely, but she defers to him on just about everything. Women have to be governed. Without that, they'll let themselves follow their ever-contradictory "feelings." Control works.

This. I just saw a post on The Red Pill subreddit called "Let Them AWALT." Basically, the OP was arguing that, if you let women embrace the fact they're sluts, you can bang them sooner. I couldn't believe how pathetic and desperate it all was. It's like picking food out of the trash because you have to eat every 5 minutes.

Hey man, thanks for the comment. It sounds like you've had a rough go of things. I'm sorry to hear that. I could only share with you the causes that matter to me. The causes that matter to you (if any) depend on your beliefs. For example, a nihilist probably couldn't name anything worthwhile because nothing possesses any ultimate meaning to him. Agreed. We may only be able to "change" society after it first destroys itself. After it all goes to hell, survivors will look for answers and true leaders. A YT guy named "Black Pigeon Speaks" has a great video about the decline of Western Civilization.

I agree with you to a large extent. Many of the trends we see right now in the Western World are completely unsustainable, and something's gotta give. Soon. Yet we can still prepare for whatever is coming by getting fit, learning how to use weapons, storing up food and water, etc. Building a trustworthy community will be important too.
