We do have freedom of speech, but that doesn't apply here. They're allowed to ban anyone they want from their subreddit, for any reason or no reason at all. Freedom of speech just means we can't be arrested for disagreeing with the government, it doesn't mean we can't be banned from private places. You're not being the asshole. You can point out to her that traditionally, circumcision happened as part of the boy becoming a man (around 13 or 14 I believe), and that it was voluntary, and that you're more comfortable with that if your son decides he wants it. It's definitely something that should have been discussed ahead of time, but in this situation the parent who doesn't want the circumcision prevails, since it can always be done later and is surgery on an infant's body.

My college is like that, they decided to have a certain amount of bathroom become all gender bathrooms, although in their case they alternate which they changed of the male and female bathrooms. But they have signs "please don't use the all-gender restrooms if you have a binary gender, others need it more than you" which means if your bathroom is the one they removed, you have to get to the next one. I do think you don't want to make things final with kids, because it could just be part of growing up, and it's very common for kids to try out "the other gender" for a bit, then find what works for them. It makes sense for a group who wants equal rights for men to point out when women are treated in a way men wouldn't be. So I definitely understand seeing many posts about women, although I wouldn't say it's most of them. Definitely. When you feel threatened, slapping the person is probably the last thing you'd want. It escalates the situation. You'd try to de-escalate or possibly run away. Allowed when the person requesting it is the person getting one, and they're old enough to ask for cosmetic surgery. Also allowed when there is a medical reason for it. Done with anesthesia the same way you would another surgery. My guess is the original title was something like "Women work more and men work less" (than five years ago, that is), and someone who didn't bother to read the article changed the title. From what I know about articles, this kind of thing happens all the time. I think if they were just trying to lie about it, they'd also lie in the article instead of giving figures that show men are working almost as much as they used to, and women aren't really catching up yet.

At least have changing tables available for people of all genders. I've seen places that have changing rooms that aren't in bathrooms at all (although in the same area) and that can work out fine too, no reason they have to be in a bathroom in the first place.

Honestly, I'm glad the prostitutes aren't prosecuted. I've seen in other countries what happens when prostitutes risk being prosecuted, they may get beaten up, raped or all sorts of things and not be willing to report it because even if it didn't happen to them on the job, the police may find out and arrest them. Well that's just not consistent. If you believe that being a parent is about raising a kid, not genes, then this kind of thing shouldn't really matter, should it? I think there are still some worries about all bathrooms being gender neutral, which you can see when there are talks about trans people and which bathrooms they should use. I agree with you we could just have gender neutral bathrooms all around but it doesn't look like we're quite there yet.

That sometimes happens when they add gender neutral bathrooms by converting existing bathrooms. At my college, they've converted some "men's" and some "women's" into gender-neutral depending on the building, but when a place only has one bathroom of each, they usually turn the men's into gender neutral, not the women's.
