Why do so many men have bad breath?Wait he didn’t brush his teeth at all? Was he always that way? 😳 | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 13/02/22 12:22 AM
Seen in a medical sub. Thankfully the replies were very supportive; I hope she will be OKI was so sad for her. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 12/02/22 05:03 PM
Seen in a medical sub. Thankfully the replies were very supportive; I hope she will be OKMy sister’s a postpartum nurse and she once had a 16 year old girl give birth. The first thing the girl’s boyfriend said to her after birth was “so do you feel loose now?” | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 12/02/22 05:10 AM
What's your phone numberThat boundary is totally normal. It’s not like you said you have to be exclusive before he can have your number, you simply wanted to meet him in person. 100% reasonable. I’ve held that boundary in OLD with no issues. I agree with the other posters that he is making a scene just to test your boundaries (a huge red flag). | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 12/02/22 04:09 AM
Women can be very kind to each other. I'm tired of society acting like were only catty to each otherIt KILLS me to hear the stereotype of women not working well together. My job in construction is mostly men and you won’t believe the amount of infighting they have. I have no issue working with men because we have some great ones on my jobsite, but it’s delusional to think that they aren’t a huge source of drama. The women I work with are attuned to each other’s feelings, have each others’ backs, and do a huge amount of emotional labor for the jobsite. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 12/02/22 04:06 AM
Women can be very kind to each other. I'm tired of society acting like were only catty to each otherI have so many. I work in construction so there’s a ton of men around, but I always gravitate toward the few women. One in particular really stands out: our admin, who’s about 55. So many of the men treat her like she has no important opinions, since she is “just the Secretary”. They seem to understand that I’m allowed an opinion since I’m in a management role, but anytime she gives thoughtful pushback, the older men act like the furniture has spoken. She is honestly instrumental to the jobsite … | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 12/02/22 03:56 AM
The Phantom Ex - when avoidant men pine for a past loveOh my gosh! I had someone do this to me about 4 years ago! He asked me to be his girlfriend and within the first 3 months had introduced me to all of his friends, coworkers, and mentors. He worked as a neurosurgeon so it was very odd (in hindsight) for me to accompany him to networking events with other doctors when we had been together less than half a year. Then as quickly as it started, he called me one day and told me that his “phantom ex” had called him and they’d talked all night. At the e… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 03/02/22 10:11 PM
Ladies who have dated Desi or Muslim, how did the misogyny affect how you were treated in the relationship?I made another post about my very recent breakup with a man who was Malayali (Catholic instead of Muslim, but still with extremely conservative parents). In our relationship of over a year, he never told his parents or sister about me. It turns out he couldn’t have open conversations with his family members at all, although he lived with them. In our breakup, he said his main priority, even once he was married, would always be his mother. He never seemed to want to open up about his culture to m… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 01/02/22 06:17 AM
Learn from me (and looking for some moral support after my breakup)Yeah, I didn’t think he was a bad person but he was most certainly not someone I could picture a future with. The fact that we couldn’t have difficult conversations without him getting defensive and shutting down was enough. I understand he may have had family items that he needed to prioritize, but unfortunately he should have been honest with himself and me that he was not in the right mental space to date. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 01/02/22 06:11 AM
Learn from me (and looking for some moral support after my breakup)Thanks for the comment and for saying you’re glad I saw my value. And I agree, I knew in my heart when he quit therapy that it was the nail in the coffin, but I let it go on a little longer. Honestly I think it was because the holidays were coming up and I didn’t want to have a breakup during them. Not the smartest move but I still am thankful for this community for helping me see my value at all. The me 5 years ago would have kept staying even longer. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 31/01/22 03:06 PM
Learn from me (and looking for some moral support after my breakup)Ohh thank you. I see your point on that. Why do therapy in a dating relationship when a breakup is easier and cleaner | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 31/01/22 04:09 AM
Learn from me (and looking for some moral support after my breakup)Oh ok thanks I’ll keep that in mind! I didn’t mean to be rude but I was just affirming that I did already break up with him so I don’t need additional advice. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 31/01/22 04:06 AM
Learn from me (and looking for some moral support after my breakup)Oh yes I did! Idk if you’re replying to the wrong post but this post is about my breakup | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 31/01/22 03:33 AM
Don’t go on “boat dates” with guys you don’t know well or you could be put into a situation you don’t want to be in. 😬Before I ever even started dating, my mom told me a story I’ll never forget. A girl from her high school graduating class went on a boat with a man that she’d met at a party and was never heard from again. That was something like 40 years ago now and no one ever discovered her whereabouts/ body. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 20/10/20 01:36 AM
Why I love when people call me guardedBefore even asking me on a date (a stage we never reached of course) I had one guy on OLD tell me about how his friend was incarcerated, he got kicked out of college, and his ex’s dad is his father figure. No red flags there! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 07/10/20 02:14 AM
Why I love when people call me guardedI’m glad it helped! I’m gonna imagine this comic on dates now | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/10/20 11:46 PM
Working in the construction industry, things like this are way too common. Scrotes taking advantage of young hard working women.Lol as a fellow woman in construction, dancing around their feelings is so true. I’m lucky in that I’ve never had the experience of the OP though. People on the jobsite actually treat me pretty respectfully. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 23/09/20 11:57 PM
I'm so proud of you ladies. Whenever I see a woman on another subreddit who could use our help, I send her a DM invitation. Seems many of you are doing the same! Keep it up, it is our sacred duty to uplift women especially when they have been trampled by patriarchy. Cheers to 100K! 🥳🍻🎉🥂👯♀️🍻🎊Yeah someone messaged that to me a while back on a post I made asking if I was the asshole for cancelling a date with a guy after he demanded full body pics. So so glad she told me about this place! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 23/09/20 11:51 PM
Swallowing a load is suuuper empowering, guys. Girls who think it’s not are just annoyingI heard someone once say: “when people in power try to tell you that something’s empowering, ask yourself if it’s something that they would do or just something they want you (I.e. women) to do.” You never see powerful men posing naked on a magazine cover or doing workouts on a stripper pole. If it’s so empowering, it seems like they would be gravitating toward those things too! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 20/09/20 07:51 PM
This community changed the course of my lifeYes! I only recently learned about this subreddit but I truly think about its principles all the time. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 20/09/20 07:42 PM
Why do LVM shame promiscuous women, but at the same time expect every woman to sleep with them???🤔Yes! My first boyfriend (when I was a virgin and happily remained so throughout the relationship) often lamented about how rare it was to find virgin women because he wasn’t attracted to women who had been with other men. Then in the same breath he would shame me for not having sex with him. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/08/20 02:16 AM
How do I forgive myself for letting myself be usedI’m so sorry this happened to you. The fact that he came in you without your permission or prior knowledge sounds like sexual assault to me too. I think so many of us have been in a situation with a man that causes us a lot of pain to look back on. It’s easy to get there - if we take men’s flattery and compliments at face value and couple that with a socialized fear of “being mean”, we can end up in a situation that hurts us and feel like we allowed it. Reading this subreddit has helped me to un… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 26/08/20 01:44 AM
