I’m from the UK and although there are other countries way worse to be a woman, It just goes to show that no matter where you are in the world, there are men ready to exploit and rape women. A member of parliament was given special permission to read out a list (normally prohibited in parliament) it was a list of women that had been murdered in the UK where a man has been convicted or charged as the primary perpetrator in the past year. The criminal Justice system is an absolute joke in my country. The budget has been cut year after year so if the Crown prosecution service doesn’t think it’ll be a slam-dunk they will throw the case out due to lack of evidence so it won’t even get to court. 3 of my colleagues in my city that had been sexually assaulted they had DNA and the perps had previous complaints the police said they had a good case but each time the case got thrown out and the perpetrators walked free. Not a goddam thing …

When I told my colleague I was spending Christmas with my mum and the 3 cats, he made a ‘crazy cat lady’ comment. I divorced 10 years ago and I love living alone with my cats.
