I unfortunately have no one in my life im comfortable saying this to. It's not that no one in my family would listen but I just can't get myself to talk to them

In terms of the codepenency, I unfortunately developed it right from the beginning and as a young teenager that built over time. This prevented me from being more social, sharing my feelings with others and made me more isolated. That's why I think it was a mistake

My plan was to at least go on dates as a way to just try to move on but not get into anything serious

I’m already doing 1 and 2(lost 20 pounds) What I struggle with is 3 I wish there was some mental tricks I could do to help come to the conclusion of being happy with being alone Right now I just spend all the time thinking about the relationship

How do you do things like going to bars and music events ? Do you go with friends or alone? If alone how what do you do at the bar? Just sit and strike up conversation with people? Asking because I have no friends and have social anxiety 🙂

Not dwelling on my past marriage, having things to do where I don't feel alone, having emotional outlets to not keep things bottled in etc

I’m not sure I will be happy finding someone worse off than me or more damaged than me. I want to be with someone who I find attractive physically and mentally

To answer your question.. She fell in love with me when we were kids when I was much happier and charming. We got married more because it just seemed like the next step I’m not confident I have the same charm and skills to do that again

I know the main advice here is find yourself and things will work out.i agree with that and I am working on that I don't think that diminishes my worry of being a below average looking guy with baggage finding someone that will find me attractive.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
