Excellently put. This is what I'm getting from this sub. Clarity of thought and perspective of others in the same boat. I thought it was sad at first to even check this subreddit, like I hit some kind of bottom. But this post, and others like it are helping to put perspective and make me see things in a way I might have taken a longer time to realise by myself being trapped in my own thoughts. Thank you.

Sounds like you'll need a break at least from the office. I don't know you or what's going on but the point of me taking the initial time off was because productivity and focus at work were waaaaaaay off. I was just functioning. The time I took was so I could focus on the incoming legal stuff and bat it back at the ex asap. Work for me took a backseat because another area of life needed the immediate attention. Worth a mention how important that sleep diet and exercise will be to keep the body a…

If your workplace will accommodate with no consequence and if your financial situation remains stable, then I wholeheartedly recommend taking time for yourself off work. Some others may feel different, but they aren't you. My job provides full pay for up to 6 months for health issues. I spoke to my Dr and got signed off initially for 1 month then another 2 weeks, while the final house and divorce papers went through. I've just been approved for 1 more month. Don't beat yourself up, it's a massiv…

See edits above in OP...its been a wild day. Youre right, but I can say my view changed. I came here because I sought perspective of others in the same boat and that's literally the point

I believe she is my person 100%. No person would replace her i dont think. 100% there would be a doubt within me and lack of respect in her if she just takes me back now. I don't want that.

Thanks dude, see the edit 2 of the original post...I got a sense of her mood when she realised I was not a backup option who would bust himself for her approval. Not like she's keen to take me back as is, but yeah, she knew she always the backup there and now that's gone. Not going to she she was upset, but can tell she was suprised

Man, that's no bullhit. Thanks. What's your view on dating and rebounds at this time? I'm thinking to just drop women for a bit but i found myself in what looks like a rebound right now. She has joint custody a 9 year old boy of course, just to make it more complicated, but she actually is a quality woman plus his dad is around. I'm an Idiot. might have to let her go too. Your thoughts?

Thanks but the new mortgae is already approved, submitted and just waiting for the rubber stamp so to speak...plus I had to raise over 35 grand to buy her out and I wasn't finding that in the back of any sofa or the alley behind a Wendy's 😅

Found it. I knew it was there too so thanks for reminding me. Fun fact, what used to be pre divorce, approx 530 a month would be expected to increase to approx 1300, with the additional borrowing and a forecast guesstimate interest rate of...I don't remember. Slightly off topic ,but fuck the banks and govt and whoever else destroyed the economy to buy top grade hookers, blow, unerage chidren, nuclear missiles or covid...or something. Fuck them so hard.

Totally but it's a tight squeeze with me working from home. The office desk etc in bedroom 2 would have to come into the lounge for one thing. I have a friend who needed a place to stay and I put him up, but after a few days I certainly realised how much of a pain it might be over a longer period of time and he also decided to go back to his folks. Plus I keep a clean place, my roomie would have to be the same or I'll be accused of being a dickhead landlord.

Whatever happens wish you luck. Maybe say fuck it, sell up liquidate the lot and move to hawaii. Might be better to be homeless in a paradise than staying put and paying through the ass forever...joking. chin up whatever happens. Hope you find a positive outcome.
