Without doxing myself, they're big on trainees, it's not always been like this, but for the last few months, it's been super quiet, and since I joined they hired 2 other guys to do the same thing I do (who also have mostly nothing to do)

This is pretty good thanks. I would have to delve into the financials of how much the coffee costs to make. The commitment you've mentioned is a fair point, but often it would be due to accessibility and convienience for people, they only go to one gym which is local (most people anyways). As for the environment I really do feel most coffee shops are lacking here. Of course, creating such an environment would take large costs also. I will keep thinking and researching. Cheers.

My inner city area doesn't have nice spaces like beaches, and the weather's nearly always poor. It's hard to argue with your point on shared working spaces. I wouldn't rely so much on travellers but local clientele. It's not just for the internet, you can get it anywhere now, but the environment and appealing to people wanting to be in an exclusive place. When you say rewards program, could you expand on this because it might be a good idea. Cheers for the input.

I have a line manager and team managers and all of them have nothing. The shop would be staffed (max 2 people including myself) with a barista and server. So they wouldn't be able to do that and I'd need to incorporate an electronic system to track peoples coffees. I think the people who spend long time in coffee shops (like myself) buy one drink and stay there hours, which is why the interior design would be a large focus and selling point.

This sounds reasonable, I would have to break down this cost saving to them. Part of the service is not just the coffee but the space. I see so many people working/studying out of the coffee shop I go to study in.
